We were hesitant to work with CabinetsToGo at first because they do have some negative reviews. When I emailed the company about this, their district manager called me and assured me that the Salt Lake City store was under new management and my experience would be much better. I then spoke with the store manager (Richard) and he assured me of the same thing. I decided to give it a shot. From design to installation was only 5 weeks! Way faster than any other cabinet company I could find. Their pricing also beat out all the other quotes I received. The process was not without its hiccups (remodeling my home has taught me that literally every piece will have ups and downs) but they corrected and helped any issues that came up in a timely manner. Leon the installer they used for ours was also awesome and gave me a lot of advice and tips! Our cabinets are absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be happier! Give them a shot, I know you’ll be pleasantly surprised as I was!
One of my best experiences of customer service here. They were quick to offer help and let me know when theyll get a chance to help me. Michael was super helpful on all the questions that I needed answered. Also provided sensational one on one help. His customer service is outstanding and extraordinary. If you are looking for one on one help. This is the place to go to.
Richard is NOT the man! Cabinets To Go has the most disrespectful, condescending, and incompetent staff in the market. When I tried to address an issue with my kitchen I got interrupted and was told to shush FIVE times. The costumer service is awful, wish I had seen the negative reviews prior to my purchase. Several times I tried to call for Richard but he was conveniently never in the store. The only thing they know how to do is shift the blame from one employee to another. Return policy is ridiculous, they cant admit when theyve made an error or even try to help resolve your problems (that they created.) Not only am I leaving this bad review, I will be reporting this place. All they know how to do is con hardworking people who are trying to build their homes out of their money. PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THEM! Save yourself the hassle.
Ran into plenty of issues, the cabinets installation was supposed to take 1 month but it took about 3 months. The designer did not update the drawings with my changes and did not update the drawing with the installer recommended changes after the measurement appointment. The incorrect list of materials was ordered. The installed showed up to the installation with an OUT-OF-DATE drawing. This office does not follow any processes, once they receive your money you are on your own.I cancelled the countertop installation with this company and went with someone else. I returned a $600 sink that was never needed but the shipped way early. They still kept 25% after I returned the sink.
This is a horrible company to do buisness with my hasbund and I bought the Kitchen cabinets plus installetion. Back then they said that it was going to be done in two weeks but it took over six moths.we planed to get the cabinets installed befor winter because we did not have any other place to wash the dishes, we went through winter without the kitchen done. First they came to install some cabinets but not all they said they didnt have all the pieces to finish it which because of that we couldnt install the countertop and with out the countertop we coundnt install the sink. I had to be running to home-depot to buy staff that the installer needed with my own money. The installer came to our house with such a bad attittud the guy did not lisen and he screamed every time that we tell him that something did not looked right. Cabinet to go had hire a third-party company to come our huse to install the cabinets and they had to pull the previous work done by the first installer becuse it had gaps, not level, cracked drawer etc. we try to talked to customer service to if the could do something to get right but they did not offer anything to us, not dates for the missing parts to arrives, not a refound, not a return, not information, basically nothing the only thing they said was your kitchen cabinets parts are somewhere overseas. very very bad expericen. I gess I could write a book about it but I feel this is enough for you guys to see what you will be dealing.
What a joke this company is!!! It took about 1 year to get a 10 foot basement kitchenette ordered and installed with all the correct cabinets and finishes.Thats right! Almost 1 year. I had to do endless follow up and the staff especially Keisha at the Salt Lake store never called me back and always expected me to wait forever and call her back. Now the good news is, what the finished product is and looks like is great overall for the price. They could get 5 stars if management had any idea how to get the ball rolling. I recommend patience and humility if decide to do a job with them. I cant imagine doing an entire main kitchen with this company.
Original order was not ordered correctly and when the corrections were to be made it was discovered that the line of cabinets were now unavailable which has left us with a half finished project. The staff seems incompetent and do not know how to order or check for inventory. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY you will regret it
BEWARE!!!!! DONT DO IT!!If you decide to buy from this company make sure you approve EVERYTHING!!! Trust no one, especially your salesman! We walked into the showroom and ordered two toned cabinetry, shaker cabinets, graphite grey for the bottom and white for the wall cabinets. 3 TIMES we showed the sales man the style of cabinet door we wanted and BELIEVED that is what he ordered, I mean we have no way of knowing the numbers of the cabinets, my sales receipt just stated a cabinet number, color and size so we TRUSTED that everything was golden. We ordered our cabinets in November of 2020 with a delivery date of February 17th 2021. Our cabinets began to trickle in mid February and we got calls from the local store to come and get them. I asked each time was my entire order in and each time I was missing pieces or pieces were back ordered. My contractor refused to pick up the kitchen until the entire order was in the warehouse. Finally on March 16th we were able to pick up our cabinets. 10 days later the contractor starting putting the cabinets together. He noticed that the white cabinet doors were different than the grey doors and called us and said that we had a issue. We immediately called the LOCAL store and they washed their hands of us and said we had to deal with customer service online or call the 800 number. I was furious and the salesman who sold us the cabinets was still there and he LIED through his teeth and said that he told us the cabinets would not match. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND ORDERS SHAKER CABINETS AND DOES NOT ORDER THE SAME DOOR FRONTS!!!! Richard the store manager here in SLC was useless and stood up for Michael when he wasnt even there when we ordered the cabinets (he was just recently made manager of this store). Richard blamed us and said it was our issue not Cabinets to Go!!! I HOPE YOUR HEARING THIS IF YOUR GOINGN TO MAKE A PURCHASE!!!! DONT DO IT!!Customer Service has also washed their hands of us and said that its our fault that this happened and we ordered the wrong cabinets and that since they are put together they cannot be replaced or return!! By the way I wasnt asking for new cabinets just matching doors and we would return the wrong ones! THIS IS TOTAL BULL*&*(...... We spent over $7000.00 for our cabinets and trim.NO ONE AT THIS COMPANY WE HELP US OR MAKE THIS RIGHT!!If you are in SLC stay away from the store on 300 West and 1900 South, Richard and Michael have NO INTEGRITY AND THEY BLAME THE CUSTOMER FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND INDISGRESSIONS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE AND ONLY GOOD FOR SCREWS AND CABINET HARDWARE, IF YOU HAVE A REAL ISSUE THAT MIGHT COST CABINETS TO GO A BIT OF MONEY THEN THE CUSTOMER IS AT FAULT!You have been warned!!!
I have had two great experiences with Cabinets To Go in SLC. Im not sure why they have such negative feedback! I ordered an entire kitchen with them about 2-3 years ago and it turned out great! I dont recall waiting much longer than the estimated weeks they had told me and they were easy to install and put together. I just ordered a few more for another area in my kitchen Ive decided to do and I was thrilled they only took a week to order like the manager said they would. Thanks Lance, you are superb to work with and I will be back for a couple more soon!
Do not order from this place. Salesman was nice but did not seem very knowledgeable. Ended up with wrong design for my cabinets. Didn’t order the sliding shelves I wanted. Didn’t offer knobs and drawer handles. Then blamed all the problems I experienced with not having them. Cabinet shipped from factory fell apart after 2 months. Was told countertops would be installed 10 days after measurement and it took almost a month. They do not return phone calls. Poor customer service. Spent over $12,000. Very disappointed!
Thank you everyone who has posted about this company. You have saved me from making a huge mistake. I was thinking of buying from them until I read all of the reviews!
Back in July I put a “ hold “ to get the discount to get cabinets I was going to get. The next day I called and cancelled, I thought they’d refund me, come to nov, NOPE. Now I have to be calling around to dispute the charge, so annoyed. I called synchrony and they are disputing it and it will take 6p days and I called cabinets to go and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. So at least synchrony is helping. But the service has been terrible with cabinets to go. Don’t recommend to not have someone else go through this hassle of not having your money returned until 60 days after since it wasn’t done correctly through cabinets to go. Maybe their products are good idk .... but as far as customer care, I felt very forced to even put a hold of 250 on the credit to then go through this. Wish I never even got my credit pulled. Should of kept telling them we weren’t ready, and that’s on me. Just be careful. Maybe you value products more than customer care but I don’t. I’m just going to go elsewhere.
We purchased a vanity from Cabinets to go. It had a marble top and it seemed to be a great buy until we took the cabinet out of the box. 1 of the legs immediately fell off, which we wood glued back on. We didnt have time to get a new cabinet we were refinancing and needed the cabinet in yesterday (by the way it takes a really long time for you to get a cabinet from them) well then there was a chip on the top of the marble and I never even looked at the back splash until after the plumber installed it and it was a completely different grain then the marble top. It was so bad we had to have the tile guy come out again and tile a back splash. Sadly the bask splash came with the cabinet and it was a whole different cut of marble. I will never do business with them again. I posted the picture it might not seem big to you but when you are spending that much on a cabinet you pretty much expect the marble to match. So beware when you entertain the thought of going with Cabinets to Go. I also agree with the comments about when you walk in they really dont care that you are there and are not interested in talking to you unless you talk to them and they always seem put out. Not the best customer service!!Update:We went back and bought kitchen cabinets from them. The cabinets are in fact a nice product. The problem is with the people selling the cabinets. They promised so many things that are not true. they are absolutely selling lies and we should have known better but they convinced us of these things and then they were not true. 1 thing to know now is a kitchenaid cannot fit in any drawer or cabinet unless you completely want to waste so much space. If you do buy cabinets from them FIRST CALL THE INSTALLER BEFORE YOU BUY ANY CABINETS!!! THE INSTALLER CAN EXPLAIN WHERE YOU SHOULD HAVE THINGS AND HOW TO PROPERLY PUT YOUR MICROWAVE AND NOT HAVE TO CUT UP A CABINET LIKE JOHN AT THE STORE TOLD US. ALSO JUST KNOW THAT REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE GUYS AT THE STORE TELL YOU THE CABINETS ARE USUALLY INSTALLED AT A 22 IN HEIGHT ABOVE COUNTER TOPS WHICH CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS WHEN YOU HAVE A PANTRY CABINET. BUYER BEWARE!!
I wish I could give them 0 stars!!!! They don’t give a single care for their customers. Very unprofessional and have taken 4 months and counting to even get the kitchen fully to my door. Font even get me started on the installation process. Their messy and not at all caring for anything. DON’T GO WITH THESE GUYS!!! Ace is misleading and doesnt actually consider what is told to her. Seriously THIS PLACE IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!
GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! We ordered our kitchen around the beginning of June and they said all parts would be in at the end of July. We only got half of the cabinets in July and they gave us 5% back claiming their system says the rest of the cabinets will arrive in mid-August. It is now September, we got a few more cabinets BUT the kitchen is still incomplete. STILL WAITING FOR MORE CABINETS TO ARRIVE.During the design process we worked with Ace and she said our cabinet for the oven/microwave combo we have wouldnt be an issue and the install guy would adjust the cabinet to fit our appliances. LIES. A month later she informed us that the modification would cost extra. EVEN THOUGH WE ASKED AT THE BEGINNING IF IT WAS AN ISSUE. They will just say whatever to sell you the kitchen. The place is disorganized and unhelpful. Wish I went somewhere else.
I was super excited to support Cabinets To Go, but gave the gentleman at the front the dimensions and drawings and never heard back from him. He said it would take 5 business days or so to get a price. Its been 2.5 months. Never heard back. They dont seem to appreciate the business, so definitely look into BMC or Cabinets Express. Both were better quality and cheaper from what Ive heard from my friends :)
There should be a 0 star option. I have never met a place with less care for the customer. I read the bad reviews for myself but held on to hope....my mistake. Spent over $5,000 and ended up finishing everything myself. Even after speaking to the Regional Manager I still wasnt fully helped. Terrible flooring installer, cabinet quality is lackluster, and the customer service was awful. If you are looking in this price category go to Home Depot and get their higher end stuff. Build your own, find a local company, but please dont waste your money here. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
I had very good experience at cabinets to go and they have very good prices
I have never spoken with a salesman that was so rude on the phone. I was able to finally get the guy to write down the cabinets that I wanted and told me he would try to get the quote emailed to me the next day. A week has gone by and nothing. I will stay clear from this company. Customer service is clearly not a priority hear.
Ordered two kitchens from them. The boxes themselves lack quality. Poor door hinge quality. We ordered several pullout shelves. They were shipped from a different supplier after being back ordered two times when received them they wouldn’t fit. They said we could shave them down a little bit with their door hardware., REALLY. $11,000 dollar kitchen and they said we could shave them down to fit. Once you give them your money customer service starts lacking.
They constantly screwed up my orders and anything else you can think of. Made it take weeks longer for my kitchen to get done. I do really love the cabinets I got there though. They are very nice.
We bought our cabinets and kitchen flooring from them. First they ordered the wrong ones, then part didnt come in. We finally got them after living in our living room for 6 months. Then the floor started to break up. They finally replaced part, but not all of it. Now its breaking again and the drawers dont work. I would NOT recommend them!
Extremely rude. Kept me on hold for 10 mins. Called back to talk about a refund. They sent me with 5 extra boxes for our project. Thats insane how much they were off. Wouldnt take our boxes back because it had passed 60 days in the middle of COVID, even though the manager said we would take care of us. Corporate was no different. There are a million cabinet and floor places to go, would never recommend this place to anyone.
Lance and Keisha both were great to work with. There were complications but they took care of it. Keisha is one of the best sales rep and human being I have ever met. She is extremely helpful. Cabinet to go is very lucky to have an employee like her.
These guys were excellent at helping me design my kitchen. The cabinets were ordered very fast and we compared prices with Home Depot and Lowe’s. These guys still beat the price with better quality and all soft closing hardware!
Michael Canham did an excellent job in explaining what cabinets would work best for our property flip. He took the time to go through the options, so we could make an informed decision. Were impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.
You guys are a complete joke. Installed “Final Vinyl” in my business and had it Professionally installed by someone I hired and this “Final vinyl” is breaking apart after 4 months. You have got to be kidding. I called and called no one follows up. And I asked to have something done Either someone look at what is going on. No one will come out to my business, but they do ask for pictures... and the funny thing is how can you say you know exactly what is wrong from a zoomed in picture of the foor. This company cannot take ownership for anything they’re full of excuses and they try and push blame on you. I was then advised I had to hire a business called “Inspect solutions” since “Cabinets to go” didn’t install. They cost $500 to come out and determine if they’re at fault or me. As a business owner myself I stand behind my services, and I would do whatever it takes to come to to a reasonable outcome. And not tell the custom who just dropped tons of money to hire someone to determine if it’s the product. Absolutely pathetic. Do not do business here!
We purchased kitchen cabinets for a new space. We also used an installer that was on their referral list. A few months later the cabinet fell off the wall. We lost the majority of our dishes and glass ware. It appeared that the cabinet was not secured enough into the studs. We were very upset, our contractor called the store, and they came to see what happened. It was decided that the problem was the screws that came with the cabinet. When they came to install a new cabinet, the cabinet arrived with the same screws as before. Luckily the installer chose to use better screws, and secure more into the studs. When we asked about our dishes, we were told it was our fault for putting to many dishes in the 36 inch cabinet. We will never purchase from them again. They clearly do not understand customer satisfaction or the importance of integrity.
Nice on first visit and has gone downhill since. I ordered mine 3 months before the install and now, seven weeks after they started, and I am still trying to get my cabinets right. Cabinets are nice quality (your installer gets the pieces and builds and installs them), getting them installed correctly is an afterthought. DO NOT BUY YOUR COUNTER-TOPS THROUGH Cabinets to Go. I did and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Too long of a story to tell. Lance (manager) and Leon the installer would contradict each other and blame each other from problems. Find someone who cares about quality and not just the sale. Once you have paid your money, your stuck. You have to pay for everything before they will start the job, including labor. Dis-satisfied, they will send back the same contractor who made the mistakes.
Vary bad experiences with this company they were vary mean ppl working there the send my order missing some parts and everytime I called they told me lies I cant move to my house bcuz of the kitchen is not ready . I will never recommend this company to anyone . Even the quality is super cheap
I have used cabinets to go many times. I started ordering from Colorado because it was the closest to my home. I havent ordered from the new salt lake store yet since they are now local. Hopefully for this next purchase they areas good as Colorado
Only way I afforded my remodel. They are awesome!
Great cabinets at great prices.
Nice showroom smart friendly employees. The bad part is the cabinets are made in China and have to be assembled. And they turned out to be a little bit more expensive then having a local cabinet shop build and install the cabinets.
Overall really good pricing. Took a few weeks to get out cabinets, but if youre not in a rush, this is a great option.
Jill was very helpful and friendly! When were ready to remodel our kitchen, Im definitely going back!
This place is a joke and a total rip off. Would not recommend this place to anyone. They are quick to take your money but can’t fulfill what they say they are going to do.
DON’T GO HERE!!! JUST DON’T!!! They are horrible RUDE and could care less about tour thoughts and helping you!
Zero. Order was going on a month late. They thought it would be best to keep me in the dark and ignore my emails and requests for call backs. They always had the same lame excuse, they are on the manifest. I heard that for 3 weeks.Spoke with Norm, expressed my frustration towards my order. Norm, without hesitation, expressed his anger with me, explaining I was making him mad for trying to figure out where my order was.He kept reiterating that the cabinets were not late because there was no promise when I ordered them...but in the same sentence would explain how they were past due and they have no communication with their warehouse.Norm and Kesha were both very short and condescending when on the phone. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I demanded my order be cancelled and my money returned after such a long wait with no end in sight, and they were more than happy to not have to deal with me again. Please go anywhere else. My cabinets from Ikea are wonderful and they are awesome to work with.I would hate to deal with these guys again if you had an issue with your cabinets.
If I could do zero stars I would! All made in China. A nightmare to assemble and so cheap it breaks while you do it. Not worth the money. And by the way, their customer service (not the folks at the store) the one you have to call because the store people cant help, its awful. Stay away.
I have bought several cabinets from this company. Once they have your money service gets bad, backorders ect. Most of these manufacturers are bringing their supply from China and quality is about the same. Theirs is below average with the quality.
There are plenty of negative reviews on here that actually make me laugh. Most of them seem to be user error. These are pre-fab, assemble and install yourself cabinets. You must understand the basics of how tools and instructions work in order to put these together, if you poses the higher brain power to do this, assembly is a cake walk.I watched an instruction video I found on their website for the lazy suzan, after that, I put the remaining 15 cabinets together without instructions. We opted to install them ourselves, rather than go through the store. The 3 inch screws that anchor these to the walls are junk, we bought our own screws and installed them just fine with only 2 of us. The cabinets turned out amazing, they look much more expensive than they were and we get compliments on them all the time. The ONLY reason I am giving cabinets to go 4 stars is because I ordered a touch up paint marker for some dings we got when moving in, the paint is about 2 shades darker than the cabinets (Grey Shaker), I have since matched and bought new paint to cover the spots I used the marker on. Easy fix.I have otherwise been very pleased with not only the quality of these cabinets, but the overall look they brought to this house.A little common sense goes a long way when it comes to DIY projects.
Don’t order anything from this company they are way disrespecting there customers I don’t recommend this place at all
I wanted to do a design with them as their website said they do, and ideally get both countertops and cabinets from them, and even set an appointment with them to do so. When I got there they didnt want to do that, and just said to every question I asked what you see is what you get
During the time we decided to remodel our bathroom it was my idea to buy from Cabinets to Go. When my husband found out they were assemble yourself cabinets he was iffy but ended up being really impressed with the quality, sturdiness and look as he finished each of them to completion.Since then it has taken approx 3 yrs to get the bathroom prepped, waterproofed, tiled and ready for the cabinets to be installed. Our original salesman at Cabinets To Go sold us a piece of finishing scribe mold (1inch X 8 feet) with our order and he said this would be enough to go around our above the toilet cabinet we purchased from him, to say the least we ended up 2 feet short of what we needed. When I called them to order another 8 foot piece the salesman sounded super put out as he informed me that the store was full of customers and he was just way too busy, so I rushed and gave him the part number from my last invoice along with my name and phone number, then he told me it would be about 2 wks til it arrived.10 days later I called to see my order status only to receive 3 horrible pieces of news; 1st my order was NEVER placed for the part, 2nd the price of the scribe mold was no longer $6.99, which was expected 3 yrs later, but it was now a WHOPPING $28.00 which is 4xs the price we originally paid, and 3rd it would now take another 2 wks for it to arrive.Words CAN NOT describe my disappointment in this matter because it has now delayed the installation of our shower glass due to how close the glass will be to the toilet Cabinet where the trim placement needs to go in, the trim will need to be put in prior to the glass else-wise we wouldnt be able to access the tight of a space. In closing, the Quality is there in the product, the customer service could really use tremendous help, and the price $$$ keeps going up and up and up.
Michael is horrible!!!
Love the way the cabinets came out but the service could have been better. We were told that we had to order the cabinets by a certain date to recieve the sale price but never heard back from the company. We ended up calling them back and getting our design squared away but some of the cabinets were not what we had discussed with the manager. Then, the sale price stayed visible on their website for another few weeks. The manager was demeaning while we were loading our cabinets up and was less than friendly. The handles were different from what we had picked out and we didnt recieve all of the handles that were needed for the drawers. One cabinet had two of the same sides instead of opposite sides. We cut our losses, drilling new holes for it to fit together so that we didnt have to call the company back. I would order from Cabinets to Go again but I would not go back to this store.
We were a little hesitant with all the bad reviews but ultimately decided to give them a try because of price and the style of cabinets they had available. I know many people said the customer service is horrible; however, we had the complete opposite experience with Todd. He went out of his way to show us scenarios and pricing for our cabinets. We weren’t sure if wanted bigger cabinets in one spot or put a shelf in the spot. He put a shelf in that spot for us to see and in our island he included a raised countertop so we could visually see the completed product. He also ran a couple cost scenarios for us by adding or removing certain products. At the very end he wasn’t pushy for us to purchase them right away and he told us about the restocking fee because he didn’t want us to have buyer’s remorse and have to go through that. He also explained the process if any of the cabinets came damaged or if we wanted to return one later. Finally, he gave us some contact information for some local business to buy countertops and simple things like the pull out spice system. Our cabinets are still 3 weeks away but we are in no rush so if they come late we will still be very satisfied with them.
ZERO STARS.(YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) Never received our order, we cancelled after a month of the same lame excuses. Norm told us we would receive a full refund, he shorted our refund by $200. Norm said we had to pay a restocking fee, we never received the cabinets how can we be charged a restocking fee? We were kept in the dark on the whole process, Norm & Kesha ignored my emails & no one would ever call back. They have the worst customer service, nobody knows what is going on with any of the orders. The warehouse does not communicate with the office, nobody can give you a straight answer on when your product will arrive. How does a company like this stay in business?
Love their ability to do 3-d visual of the designs!!
We went to Cabinets To Go on 300 West this afternoon, the salesman absolutely went out of his way to show us he was NOT interested in helping us or answering any of our questions. I have no idea how this store stays open - we will never bother going back again!
Good service and support also selection.
So far so good weighting on them now
Prices are much higher than I expected for cabinets that I have to assemble.
Everything need to redo a house
