It was little cramp but by far my favorite one in Utah! The staff was great and they are mostly in stock with inventory compare to other stores when I visited. Prices are unbeatable with great selection of gears and quality.

The Sugar house Big 5 store is a little hard to find at first. However, Theyre the first place I look when I need new athletic shoes and winter boots for my wide feet. Durable, attractive quality and reasonable prices for footwear that lasts 1.5 years so far.

Big 5 never disappoints. They always have what I am looking for and generally a few options to choose from. I have more success at finding what I need at Big 5 then another sporting goods store. The staff is very helpful and the location in Sugar House is very conveniently situated for quick trips.

Sometimes I feel rushed by how often Im approached by the big 5 team however they are always standing by with solutions and most of the time have what I came for. Clean, organized, friendly... items can be over priced .

Nice place. However they only had one pair of the type I needed. Steel toed shoes last I checked had more than one type and brand in womens. Yet they did keep my size for me when we called and it was decently priced which is why I say 4 stars

Staff is kind. However The manager is extremely aggressive and disrespectful . I went there to try on and purchase 2 roller blades . A $180+ purchase. The website said close at 8:30pm, we arrived at 7:30 . We were about to go to checkout when the manager came and told us that “ they are OBVIOUSLY closed, and to get out” we had no idea. He then claimed to have told us they were closed when we walked in, which never happened. And then he threatened to call security. We cleaned up and left very confused. I guess I’ll order rollerblades off Amazon....I have always gone to Big Five because of their military discount. I have never seen an employee at any store treat a customer with such disrespect. Being 20 years old and a female, I experience this a lot, but never to this degree. Very odd.

Very rude employee. Everyone in my family and the whole store heard what he said to me and when I asked a question and were all absolutely dismayed at how incredibly rude he was too me. None of us will ever go there again. EVER!

Accidentally grabbed a flat ball that wouldnt hold air. They exchanged it no questions asked no box or receipt. Good guys 👍

They are friendly and they have a little bit of everything. I still feel like the store is a little dated as well as the merchandise and I dont see many deals going on. They were ready to help but without them I feel like it would have taken me longer to find what I was looking for since the organization is the store is kinda organized by brands and not too much organized for gender. I find easier to shop when I know the men section is here or there. Some sport clothing is more uniform and at times it can be hard to gess is a tank top is for men or women until you see the size or try it on

The old guy missing a patch of hair on the top of his head is the biggest piece of work you could ever meet. I think he’s the manager. He’s loud, rude, and inappropriate. I could hear his disgusting jokes he’d make to his college and he treated me and my family with disrespect. I will never go there again. Be careful of that Ahole!

Great find for some last minute fishing/camping items!

Went in to buy a pair of shoes but never received any assistance from the people working because they were too busy looking at there phones. So I left without buying shoes and won’t be going back. Good luck getting any business.

If you know what youre looking for from a relatively small store with limited inventory, you can find decent brands and good prices. The sales help changes like in a lot of retail stores, and in my last visit they were very good, very helpful.

Didnt have socks in sizes. Mainly the typical man socks suppose to fit all men. Today I did go to Cabelas in Lehi, Utah and found sizes in men socks. Sizes small, medium and large. If only other stores sell sizes in socks.

Came in looking for specific colored socks for baseball. They had them in one of the colors but not the lighter blue I was looking for. Same goes for the baseball belts. They were really helpful though and we figured out something in place of the blue sets. They have a great selection of baseball gear for all ages.

Im pretty happy about the this purchase experience.Update: I took the good review back. I shopped with kids again couple days ago (they out grew their shoes fast), but worked with different staff. This time I dont have that luck: Kids were not allowed to use the restroom and I needed to find the right size shoes by myself. Good news it that price is still good. Next time Ill try other stores with comparable price.

This is actually my favorite place to get sneakers. They rival if not beat internet prices and have a decent selection. The three stars is because the store organization is cluttered. It resembles the sports stores that I went to as a kid in the early 90s, which are all now out of business, and always kind of has the about to go out of business vibe.

Good selection, excellent pricing. The staff knows very little about any of the gear and seem woefully undertrained but are always very courteous. Good return policy. Definitely worth checking here for your sporting needs.

Big 5 is great good prices. Keep in mind youre not going to gear the top-level equipment you do get what you pay for but I would say for a lot of things Big 5 is adequate

This was our 2nd stop in shopping for baseball equipment as gifts. Even realizing that its not near baseball season the availability of equipment at Big 5 was 10 times better then at Sheels! Prices at Big 5 are very good and staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful.Selection and pricing of other equipment was also very good.

Big 5 has just about everything you need from beginners to advanced sports enthusiasts. The employees are there to make sure your needs are met. I was buying a tennis racquet for my sons birthday and had no idea which kind size ect.. they spent a good 20 min with me to find the perfect racquet for his needs . He loves it

Store feels overwhelmingly cluttered. Focus on the items you sell the most and warehouse the others and sell them with an ecommerce model. Streamline some of the hodgepodge and it will become a more inviting sports store.

The staff is friendly and willing to help. There is a wide range of outdoor products. They seem to lack major brands in a lot of areas but they do still have some. The less heard of brands are cheap and serve the same purpose in most occasions.

Walked in to buy some new tennis shoes. The selection of shoes is decent, but I was not super impressed with the customer service. I waited around the shoe section for about 10 minutes and couldnt find someone to grab sizes to try on. If I had more time I might have waited around longer...but I ended up going next door to nordstrom rack and found the shoes I needed.

Just dropped in while on vacation, left with 2 pairs of shoes at a very good price
