BEST CHOCOLATE EVER! Id add more pictures, but we ate most of the chocolate in the car. My favorite was the Aztec Salted Caramel, so good!

Two words: Hot Chocolate! If you can’t think of what to try first, please try their hot chocolate! We always enjoy coming here and looking at all the beautiful chocolate goodness. My favorite place to come to while downtown in SLC. Prices aren’t too bad for the quality. I recommend trying a little bit of everything. Their truffles are to die for and the peanut butter bars are so delicious. Darn it try it all guys! Just do it!

The most friendly experience. We came by had seen the show and were able to meet the owner Kate while we were on site what a lovely person. The smell when you walk in is most delighting. The chocolates look great were going to buy plenty to take on our trip and keep us happy.

As an avid hot chocolate drinker, theirs is by far the best I have ever had! A lovely place to get a good cup of chocolate and some gourmet chocolates. The owners are super kind too! Definitely be sure to stop in when your in the area!

I’ve been to the old and the current location. Always great customer service and everything I’ve had here has been amazing! I’ve had two assorted boxes and every one of them have been soo good! I especially love the orange and lemon cream chocolates. Will definitely be back!

Best dessert joint in Salt Lake City. Really liked the unique ice cream flavors and rhe comfortable atmosphere inside. The new building renovations look great! I still need to try the milkshakes everyone is talking about. Tons of different chocolate and ice cream choices.

Remember in the book the Polar Express how they described the hot chocolate being like melted chocolate bars? Well... They do that here and its freaking epic!

Such a fun place! And great for families! We stopped by for dessert and their ice creams are super delicious. One luck in and my 6 year old dropped her entire ice cream but they were so sweet and kind to replace it for us. I highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

This place is bomb. And I don’t know how it’s not more we’ll known. During winter time the hot chocolate is the best. It’s like drinking straight from Wonkas chocolate river. Augustus Gloop would lose his mind here.All around the chocolate is very high quality. And more importantly consistent. The chocolatiers here know their profession. This is a must visit establishment.

Its all delicious! The raspberry sugar cookie had a very refreshing raspberry flavor which caught me off guard based on previous notions of what a fruit flavored sugar cookie is, definitely give that a try! The individually dipped chocolates are varied enough to find something you will like, we enjoyed the salted caramel quite a lot. Dont forget their brownies either!

The hot chocolate really is phenomenal here. 10 oz of it will cost you 6 bucks, but its more like youre drinking 16 oz of regular hot chocolate, because its so rich and thick. The ice cream is really expensive also, and Im not sure its much better than ice cream from other places. But the atmosphere is fun, and usually crowded, though very lively. We love the magicians that come on Monday nights.

The systems went down right before we got there, and they were still able to manage the transaction greatly, they were all very friendly and its such a cute little shop!The hot coco was delish (must try), and the chocolates were succulent with real flavor, try the raspberry cream milk chocolate num num!!

Great selection of chocolates and other treats! I had the dark chocolate covered frozen banana and it was delicious. My husband loved the hot fudge brownie sundae. Can’t wait to go back to try the hot chocolate and other treats!

Ummm delicious. The owners are extremely nice and the chocolate is the best. I think they use guittard’s chocolate in their desserts. The decadent hot chocolate tastes like melted chocolate in whole milk. 🤤 the ice cream has the perfect creamy texture and flavor.

Pretty much the best hot chocolate you will ever have. Milk and Dark, both are excellent. Currently, social distancing policies are in effect but the workers are still in good spirits and the experience is not dampered. Always recommend when in need of a warm treat.

Great place orange hot cocoa is exceptional

This was muly first time going, and it was amazing! Their hot chocolate was amazing and everyone was super kind!

They have a wide variety of delicious desserts. I have tried all the brownie variations, sugar cookie, and a couple different ice cream flavors, all of it was excellent. All the desserts are very rich, so you could definitely share one or take some home. Some nights they have live music and there is a little park directly across from their shop. The staff are fun and friendly!

Theyre sweets are AMAZING! You can definitely tell theyre made with love and care! I always get their dipped caramel apple! 🍏 The staff is really sweet and friendly! The place smells amazing! When you have the chance to go, ask a staff member about the friendly ghost story!

I was referred to Hatches Chocolates by a co-worker and I am so grateful! :) The chocolates are indescribably delicious, with creamy chocolate, amazing fillings, and the flavors balance perfectly. They have ice cream too: its the best, creamiest ice cream Ive ever had. They also actually have lots of toppings in their ice cream, like the cookies and cream ice cream actually has lots of cookies in it! Thats all I ask for in an ice cream (besides being creamy) and very few satisfy that requirement. Ive heard they have great hot chocolate too, although I havent tried it yet. Great location and really cool murals on the walls!

The rating is based on the service. First time at the store. The website says we can shop in person. But you cannot go in so you have to awkwardly stand and order. Not knowing what any of the chocolates look like I told the guy I was going to be filling a box I had in my car. The guy taking the order did not listen to what I wanted or what I was shopping for. He was quite rude and not very helpful. Then he flips the screen to have me give a tip.and the prices charged are not the same as what is posted. I would not go back here, hopefully the chocolate is good since it was for a gift.**upon questioning the wrong charges, the rude guy did tell someone and they ran after me to attempt to make it right. It wasn’t the money it was the whole experience.Upon putting the gift together I had to go back in and have them give me the right item. The manager comes out and says, “you’ve been video’s Karen. Don’t every come back. “ horrible customer service.

Owner is very friendly and personable; youd never know he was on tv.Their chocolate is delicious and you can tell its fresh! They also make some of their own ice creams; which are rich and creamy.We went on a Saturday night and there was a live band as well. Great music, but hard to talk due to the volume.

I go there specifically for the cookies and cream ice cream in a waffle cone, but everything is delicious. The owners put love and genius into all of the things, and theres AWESOME live music. Truly a unique and awesome shop unlike anywhere else (in a really good way).

This is my favorite chocolate shop! I used to go to school in the avenues and I had to visit the hospital for various reasons and this was my happy place. Their chocolate is beautiful (so is their fudge) but my favorite is their ice cream, sorbet, and frozen hot chocolate. I also just love the atmosphere, all the paintings that get hung around and change every so often and the chairs are pretty comfortable, especially in the summer when you can sit outside. Sorry Im rambling this sounds like an ad... But I really loved having this shop to go to in my last few years growing up.

This place has the best chocolates in Salt Lake Valley. And it’s on the way home from my oncologist, so now I associate cancer with the most amazing chocolates I’ve ever had. I always stop when I go for a checkup, to reward myself for going to the doctor. It sounds weird, but I’m serious!

Amazing!!!! We love going to Hatch Family Chocolates. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Our kids love seeing all the beautiful chocolate concoctions. The frozen hot chocolate is divine and never disappoints. Tonight we got to sit and chat with the owner who was so personable and very accommodating, you can tell he is passionate about his business and his community. Support local.

I had heard Hatchs had the best chocolates so when I found myself near their store, I decided to stop and see. The price was prohibiting but as they were supposed to be so good, I spent $13 for six chocolates. I wasnt that impressed. They were just ok. At that price I can get ok chocolates for less.

The absolute BEST hot chocolate this side of the Mississippi. Just save room, it is REALLY filling. Fun Italian sodas, too. Would make a fabulous stop for a date :-)

Great chocolates, lovely atmosphere, and helpful staff. They have so many cool events going on here, too! They were also very accommodating when I called and asked about what chocolates have soy in them, and they directed me to safer options. Just a wonderful establishment run by wonderful people.

Love this cozy little place. My favorite is the salted caramel ice cream. It taste delicious. Also, magic Monday is a lot of fun. Theres a fantastic magician and a balloon artist. They will come to your table and fasinate you. ❤️

This is one of my favorite places to get a yummy treat! Amazing chocolate of course, but the handmade ice cream is even better. As well as the macaroons and brownies. Ive just never been disappointed. Its a lovely place to grab a treat and go on a walk.

Shocking really.Like $38 per pound for chocolate and everything else is similarly priced.We ordered a Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae and it cost $8. One brownie, one scoop of ice cream, and hot fudge/caramel (and toppings).Day or two old brownie, OK homemade ice cream, decent overall. No way worth $8.People were buying desserts like they were never going to buy dessert again for the rest of their lives.I don’t get it.

I came fully expecting to have my life changed and was not disappointed. My life was ruined in the best possible way. The hot chocolate was absolutely delightful and I can’t wait to be back.

Cutest little date night place with a girlfriend or otherwise! Delicious ice cream that seems homemade and unique! Decent prices! Could be a little lower for five stars. If the ice cream doesnt fill ya there are tons of chocolates and its a cute environment. They let us sit and talk after closing.

The place you have to experience in Salt Lake City if you’re a chocolate lover.They use the best cacao around and that makes the difference with their quality, which is hard to beat.Also their hot chocolates are a must try in times of cold since they’re sublime (they also offer a couple of vegan options which are as good as their regular non vegan ones).Great location in the avenues and plenty of parking around.Expect some lines if you come here in the weekends, specially Friday evenings.Service always very cordial and friendly and love their live music some Friday’s/Saturday’s.

We ordered the 6 piece hand dipped chocolate pieces as well as the hot chocolate and they were absolutely amazing! Everything here is homemade daily downstairs and you can tell. Steve, the owner, is a delight. He makes a personal connection with each of his customers and is so wonderful to talk with. Definitely worth your time and money to try out Hatch Family Chocolates. We’ll be coming back!

This place is a new favorite!Not only do they have a gratuitous assortment of delicious chocolates and chocolate-adjacent offerings, they also make most of their own ice cream in house.If you like fresh roasted nuts at all, try the maple praline ice cream. I think it may be my favorite ice cream of all time. It was that good.Also - shout out to Brady for enabling my husband and I to taste test way too many of their ice cream flavors before we made a decision. They were all so good! I cant wait to come back.

I havent had anything here that I didnt love! Steve and Kate are great hosts and do a wonderful job at running their business. If there were an option for more than 5 stars theyd have earned it in my book.

Ive only been once here, but my first experience was magical. Yes, Im aware that sounds cheesy, but from the high quality service and delicious products (I ordered the orange hot chocolate), all of the local artwork that is displayed and sold, to the fun events that they have going on (like the magician and balloon artists on Mondays), it really does pull you in. It feels like more than just a place to get good sweets. They have created an atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and stay. I have every intention of coming back here.

Ive enjoyed Hatch Family Chocolate for a while now but just recently was able to take some time to go into the store. I love the local artwork they have and how calm the atmosphere was. The caramel and chocolate pretzels are my favorite, next to the milk cinnamon bears. I havent tried the ice cream yet, but based on what everyone else says, that and the Hot Chocolate are next!
