I love my local Salt Lake City needlepoint shop. Patty is always so friendly and helpful. I picked up a Halloween canvas from the Brenda Stofft Designs trunk show and she helped me pick the Silk and Ivory fibers. Plus, showed me a brick stick so I could do the cats in Angora for a fuzzy effect. The finishing was done by Sign of the Arrow in St. Louis at her suggestion. I visit often and the sewing room is always alive with chatter and laughter.
It was such a cute store. I was looking for very fine threads for tying my flies for fishing. They took the time to help me find exactly what I needed. The prices are great. I was so amazed with everything they have in that store. I will definitely keep going back. The metallic thread that I bought has been working out beautifully.
Looking for silk thread embroidery thread and Google recommend this place. No one asked if they could help, but another customer helped me find what I needed. Then had to wait 5 minutes at the counter to pay, because they could not be bothered to help a customer. The biggest shock was when they asked if I had cash because it would be $5 to run a debit card! I will just order from Amazon in the future instead of trying to support local businesses.
I was a bit disappointed at this location.I went by to purchase some stuff but my main goal was to get information about the needlepoint classes available, I got there and they were having a class, one of the studants came up to help me, she said that all the classes were full, no space available but asked my phone number so the owner would give me a call. Owner never called me.I was so excited to learn more about needlepoint, and unfortunately from my research this is the only place that has needlepoint classes as far as I know.I might be wrong but I had the impression that the class was more like a social encounter between the senior people than really learning about needlepoint... also the fact that I am in my 30s and not in my 60s like most of the students there l felt it had contributed for the owner never had called me. Pretty much got excluded.. Which is a shame because I do needlepoint by myself, I just wanted to learn more.So no, I would not recommend this place to friends, to me it sounds really unprofessional.
Stopped in only to buy a needle threader. The owner was extremely helpful in helping me select the best one for my project. Two years ago i was looking for Persian wool for an old unfinished needlepoint. They did not stock it but the clerk was nice enough to tell me where I could buy it. .
Great place for needlepoint canvases, fibers, and classes. Patti is a very skilled teacher with a wonderful eye for colors... My wife, mother-in-law, and mother all love it, so its a great resource for Christmas and Birthday gifts!
Looking for specific x-stitch floss. Google suggested this place. Lady was not pleasant, was not interested in selling, she just explained how much more expensive their stuff are because its needlepoint not x-stitch. I loved what I saw I was interested to buy, but she left and went to the back after showing a few stuff so we left without saying bye!
I take classes here regularly and love it! There are new trunk shows regularly and a feeling of community among the stitchers here.
Patty works too hard for and charges too little!Great shop with extra friendly service, will go back again!
Incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and skilled staff. Its just a bummer the store isnt open later.
