Let me explain why I gave such a low score to the place with an amazing gelato. There is nothing wrong with ice cream, it is super good, BUT the amount of PLASTIC and STYROFOAM this place uses is HORRIBLE! There are no cones, so everyone has to get a plastic cup with a plastic spoon! Our planet is drowning in plastic and it is sad to see businesses that are not trying to step forward and minimize their waste! We came in and asked for a glass cup with a regular metal spoon to sit down and enjoy our ice cream, the employee agreed which was nice. But i hope more people will complain for this place to stop using such unecofriendly products.

The stracciatella was wonderful and the atmosphere sitting outside reminded me a lot of Austin, which I didnt expect in Salt Lake City.

Loved this cozy ice-cream and drinks place . They had good choice of ice cream flavors including my daughter’s favorite Nutella 😋😋and their Cold Mocha was just too good .... service and prices are good too 😀

This was the best gelato I’ve ever had. Never been a big fan. But tried it tonight with my family ant it was great!

Even my wife from Napoli said that the gelato was really authentic! So, it was very good.

This was a tasty ice cream shop. It won an award for best dessert in salt lake and although it was ok, the fact that they are considered the best is a little depressing.There was free parking in the back.

The BEST gelato in SLC. A must stop if you are in town. The lines are always long but it goes fast. Try the chocolate and pistachio flavors. You wont regret it.

Nice people. Fun cups. Three sizes. Yellow is my favorite. Good Ice cream. Comfy seats in the corner. 4 stars cuz you hand will get cold from holding the cup too long. I dont recommend mixing strawberry sorbet and cookies and cream.

The best gelato I’ve had in Utah! So good, I’m still giving it 5 stars even though the girl behind the counter was extremely rude to my family, I think her name was Laisy or something. She was really short with us and didn’t let my brother or husband choose their size of cup, she just gave them small cups without asking. She inexplicably seemed very angry at us. Terrible service, but the gelato is 10/10.

Came in on a Thurs. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. The place has a cool atmosphere. Food is like a place in Baltimore I loved.

Absolutely the best Gelato Ive ever had!! A must visit for anyone gluten free or just those who love food. Go next door and get the Emily or Amelia first to eat at Settebello and then get Gelato (or a Nutella pizza!). The gluten free crust is from scratch and Ive never had anything like it. There are dairy free options as well.

There are a number of good gelato places around SLC. The prices were in line with other places Ive been. The staff was friendly and efficient. It is interesting that you can sample up to 3 flavors. This is the first time Ive seen a limit but I think its wise. You can probably get eaten out of house and home with giving away free samples. The flavor that impressed me the most was the lemon biscotti. If you lemon, this is one of the best lemons around. The flavor was delicate and subtle. I could have had so much more of it. While the other flavors were delightful, lemon biscotti knocked it out of the park.

Delicious gelato and coffee! Loved the variety and quality of the products. The gelato is super rich, so the smallest cup is perfect for an after-dinner treat. Service was a little slow and apathetic, but it could be the timing (8pm on a Friday). Decent venue in a nice location, so well be back. Try the lemon biscotti, its wonderful!

They have a chocolate peanut butter gelato. It is so good!

One of the best gelato joints in SLC! Good price for the portion sizes. Inside and outside seating make it a great choice for any season! You have to try the cappuccino gelato. 10/10

Amazing Gelato, and amazing pizza

Mediocre gelato and HORRIBLE OFFENSIVE SERVICE... unless you enjoy being run out of the establishment to eat your gelato outside in the cold, as soon as you pay because they’d like to save the tables for other guests that have not yet arrived. We had just finished dinner at Settebello (same owner) and crossed over for gelato, upon sitting down to enjoy dessert we were advised that the tables in the gelateria were for Settebello patrons and asked to LEAVE! Who does that??? ordered Tiramisu gelato and ended up throwing it away as it tasted more like licorice. Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else.

The person working was very nice and let us try a lot of flavors before we made a choice. It was great customer service! The gelato was also fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed the hazelnut flavor. It definitely recommend this place.

In my opinion, there is no better gelato in Utah. Its an hour away from my house, and we still regularly drive up when we want a treat.My favorite flavor is amaretto, but they always have about two dozen flavors, frequently special flavors too, and everything Ive tried was amazing. The gelato is smooth, creamy, and so delicious youll want to lick the cup clean.They also offer soft drinks, coffee and espresso. I cant vouch for the coffee or espresso, but I thought Id point it out for those who are interested.On top of that, they share a building with Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, which has amazing pizza and Italian food, and smells like heaven while you order your gelato.

Quaint and cozy gelato shop attached to neighboring settebellos, serving a decent variety of tasty flavors, to include some vegan options. I had chocolate and hazelnut both of which were satisfying, not too sweet. Chocolate could use more chocolate flavor though. Would return if I were in the neighborhood

There was a long line, but it moved quickly. I got the peanut butter chocolate and blueberry. They were both excellent! But the dark chocolate really something special. I highly recommend this place.

Gelato is so creamy and without the overwhelming flavor you get in many ice creams. Sorbetto is amazing as well. Some of the best Ive ever had, including when I lived in Europe.

Such smooth and silky gelato. Every flavor I’ve had has been incredible. These guys know how to make gelato and it’s worth every penny. Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t live so close or I’d be there much too often! I definitely recommend this place.

Average gelato and very rude employees

Hard time picking just two flavors. Adjacent to a pizza place, you dont have to go outside to go from one to the other. The atmosphere is bright and inviting.

Hazelnut is my favorite flavor! Everything here is delicious but you definitely gotta try the hazelnut. Dont bother with the nutella or hazelnut chocolate. You dont need your delicious hazelnut diluted with chocolate.

Cashier was very friendly and their gelato wasnt disappointing, however, it didnt wow me.

Fantastic gelatto and sorbet for really good prices and good coffee too! We loved all the flavors we tried. The prices are really good and even the small size almost seemed like too much gellato for us.

This place is absolutely fantastic! Everytime I go here I get the raspberry gelato its to die for. Its so fresh you can taste the seeds. I keep thinking Im going to switch it up, but I just keep ordering the same delicious flavor. 😂

The best gelato in SLC (and there’s a lot of competition to choose from). The ambiance leaves a little to be desired so we usually take ours and stroll around the neighborhood or sit outside.

The people are 5 🌟... The gelato.... Was disappointing....

The service was not good. I waited 5 minutes for someone, and there was no one in front of me. One person walked past, looked at me, then went behind the counter and got a taste of the cookies and cream, then went off behind the corner without giving me a second glance. There was one person who was actually working, and she had to finish the previous order before she took mine. But the portion was generous, and the gelato was good. I would go back.

I chose to visit this place because they were open until 11, which Im very grateful for as there isnt much to SLC nightlife if youre under the age of 21. The gelato was soo good! I got an affogato (as I crave it about twice a month) with chocolate gelato and it was ridiculously delicious. The gelato is rich and creamy but not overbearing, and the espresso was good and poured at an APPROPRIATE RATIO (I can not stress this enough - the balance of espresso to gelato is very important). They also give you more than you expect in the sizes, so dont feel daunted looking at the price tags on an empty cup. The location is awesome and the atmosphere is great. Ill absolutely return!

The gelato here was not as creamy and smooth as other gelatos Ive had around town. Seating is very casual and seems like its more of a waiting space to get into the pizzeria. They had an assortment of flavors of both gelato and sorbet as well as a variety of options for coffee.

Delicious gelato!Perfect consistency, creamy and sweet and subtle flavours.I had a small cup ($4) with traditional coconut and unique lemon biscotti.The shop is small but there are benches inside and some tables outdoors to sit down and enjoy your ice cream.Were in town just for the night, but I could tell this place is popular for the locals.

Capo is my favorite dessert spot in Salt Lake City!Their lemon biscotti flavor is the best gelato I’ve ever had—and there’s a wide enough variety for anyone to find something they love, from coconut sticky rice to chocolate hazelnut. You get a good amount for what you pay (even the small size is plenty) unlike other gelato places in Salt Lake which offer small and pricey portions. This location isn’t large so it can get crowded pretty quickly on weekend nights, but there’s never a long wait and there’s always enough seating available as well as parking available in the back lot and on the street. Plus, the servers here couldn’t be kinder!

This gelato is my absolute favorite!!!!!!! So delicious - the best Ive ever tried. However, what is happening to the portion sizes?! They used to be so generous with their portions, but the past few times I have gone here they are very stingy with what they serve. Kind of a letdown...
