Restaurant is not so clean, there is no one who is going to wipe down the table or floor. Everything is self service. Some food is alright but NEVER order seafood noodle. Check the picture below thats $11. They basically throw some frozen seafood from package, put some noodle and call that seafood noodle which took 30mins since she forgot to make one. What I am disappointed even more is the lady who was in charge of order. I complained with the quality of food and she says What do you want me to do? Isnt handful of seafood not enough for you?. Extremely not professional with customer nor noodle was good. DO NOT DELETE THE HONEST REVIEW.
Decent sized Korean grocery store. Many Asian foods, treats, prepackaged goodies, assorted frozen fish, frozen foods, etc.My wife buys prepacked Korean soups and other microwaveable food bowls. Convenient to take to work. Prices are pretty typical.Quick courteous checkouts. Friendly service. Definitely worth a visit if you are into Asian style cooking, or, if you simply wish to try something outside of the ordinary.Highly recommended
Bring a baby to travel it’s really hard to find a dinner that provides non-salty food. This dinner is amazing! They followed my requirement nicely and the food is non-salty at all!! I’m so surprised because a lot of dinners will say the condiments are all preset. I highly recommend the seafood pancake, it’s very authentic!
Awesome selection! They actually open at 9am, not 10. Will be back again. They also have a cafe.
One of the best and affordable Korean food markets/restaurant in town. Whenever I miss mother (Korean) I go to Seoul Market, they make you feel right at home. This market has been a staple for San Antonio, especially during Covid-19 and the Ice Storm. For the comments below, If you dont like the self service, well you should probably try to become more culturally competent.
One of the larger Korean market in San Antonio, where they carry most of the essential Korean spices and specialty food imported from Korea and locally made. I am actually glad that a Korean market of this size exists in San Antonio as the Korean population is not large from what I am told. This would be the best alternative to H Mart in Austin.
Great place, many korean products and excelent cucumber and napa kimchi not to spicy, good prices, korean beauty products, fresh and frozen vegetables and meats.
I generally do my Asian Food shopping here (and two other stores.) Their seaweed is often on sale. I saw many people buying them by the packs. I grabbed 5 myself today, and this isn’t the first time I’ve hit this sale. Today I tried out the corn dog stand (Gorae), and wasn’t too pleased. They lost my order, and they tried to blame me for it. They gave my order to another customer, then took it back from him and gave it too me. I said I didn’t care, but I actually was tired of waiting and I didn’t appreciate how she tried to but the blame back on me. The corn dogs were ok: The Crispy Ramen Hotdog & The Mozzarella Hotdog. The sugar gave them a nice funnel cake flavor, the ramen gave it a good crunch, and the mozzarella was straight cheese and stringy (I guess I was still expecting the actual hotdog inside.)
I love this store, they keep a good amount of staple products while also having a variety of seasonal and new products!
This place is great. My friend and I went to this market to get Korean snacks (which they have a lot of!) and we were welcomed by a very clean and orderly store with a quick check out line. When you order the food here, you have to pay for it in advance at the markets registers. We got our food, and it was so good. Honestly this is our new favorite Korean take out spot, I definitely recommend the Bulgolgi and Soft Tofu Soup. They provide side dishes and a ton of tofu. You definitely get your money’s worth.
How great is it to visit these type of markets because of the diverse amount of product and I just gotta say. If you dont care much for Asian product go for the bread. Indescribably delicious.
This stores Google map site said they had Korean Hot Dogs. Ive continuously have gone back weekly since May, specifically for this one item. Here we are in October and still nothing. I believe its been closed but they have not yet removed the stand where it once stood. And so, I really think Google should remove the suggestion for Korean Hot Dogs in the SA area.
Nice store to shop and I do come back when I can. They can work better on making sure items are priced properly. Main downfall is the Korean corndog stand. It has been closed for a while yet this site still shows open. When will it reopen? I will update rating once it reopens.
I love this place so much. Everyone is super nice and super helpful!! One of the best markets here in San Antonio seriously, it was amazing!! I can’t wait to go back
I just moved to San Antonio and looked for a Korean grocer and came upon this one via a friend’s recommendation. The store is actually very nice and has a big collection of items and produce. BUT! Their price tags often do not match the item or is missing a price tag. Especially in the frozen/fridge section and the produce section. I’m not sure why this is but the item description/price is often incorrect and have to constantly ask the clerk for the price. This is EXTREMELY exhausting and annoying and it’s a shame because I really want to make this my go-to Korean store. Hopefully the owner sees this and makes some changes. I will update this review if I see improvement.
Its a good market. Lots of fresh hard to find vegetables which is great. Wide selection, lots of different brands. Was happy to find a good selection of traditional comfort foods in microwave packaging. When I went, the cafe was closed as was the corn dog stand. Cashiers were friendly.
Very dangerous place for me, I always spend more than I meant to. Store is clean and staff is friendly. A great selection of items.
Always have great experience in the store and always has my favorite things in stock.
Awesome great found everything we needed. Will definitely be back when in S.A.
We come here to get some fine Asian cuisine. We love to try new things and experience different food.
Great place, convenient and full of everything. Also great lunch food to stop in for
Coffee just like back home Oppa sweet Americano LOL iced Americano😅 and cold brew✌️👍
I rate this place highly because of the Korean Cafe. I lived in Korea for 7 years in the food at Seoul Asian Markets cafe is quite authentic. For those in the know it resembles a really good gimbop place in Korea, but they also serve a KamJa Tang that is really excellent so to call them a Gimbop place may be a little insulting. They just recently raised their prices due to covid so I havent eaten there since then. But they used to be also the most reasonably priced for what you got. Its also a good Korean grocery with most of the things that you could want. The only criticism I would have is the lack of a dedicated side dish deli. That would make this place the only destination for Korean shopping. They do have side dish selections they are just not as varied as my family would like. If you want more varied side dishes and fresh kimchi made on site every week there is another market that does that
Excellent options to choose from and many choices for the cafe!!! The staff are very nice and are helpful towards figuring out what youre looking for, whether its the first time or the 50th! The Café is definitely a go to here for all the Korean delicacies it offers!
This place is so cute! And it’s open, not sure why Google lists it as temporarily closed. It has a great variety of Korean and Japanese products. They take your temperature as you enter and require face masks and the employees are all lovely! Haven’t tried the cafe yet, but it smelled HEAVENLY as I walked in; will definitely be going back!
Well be visiting her often. Everyone is super friendly. Clean and organized
Lots of Asian goods. I love the fresh custard pastries!
Extensive Asian market for primarily Korean goods. They also have a restaurant inside serving up yummy Korean food. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Busy as heck! And it should be. Fantastic market and even better cafe do not sleep on the pork bone soup🔥🔥
The best selection of Asian snack food Ive found. The restaurant is exceptional and the most consistent place for Korean food Ive experienced in San Antonio.
This is a great market that has everything you need for Asian cooking especially Korean food. There is a fantastic restaurant within the market. The hours are limited during the week but a good place an early meal.
Love it! We return again and again. They have freshly made Korean food during lunch hours!
Clean and well stocked. One of the best places to go for ingredients needed in Korean cooking~
It presents a good range of asian products (I dont say it is extensive because there are a lot of asian products). For a typical Walmart shopper, it is a good/interesting experience to pop down there and see/buy and try new things.
I drive 20 mins for all my favorite goodies! I pick ramen, dumplings, spices and oils, and will usually grab something from the restaurant.
Im impressed.Very well stocked and staff are really very nice .
Ok, but they need to clean their baskets. They have great prices on instant coffee there.
Lots of fresh produce and many cool exotic food brands. a little dirty
It one of my favorite Asian stores to shop at wether its for groceries or snake to buy.
More than just a Korean market, they have some of the best food here
Didnt try the lunch cafe but they have an amazing selection of Asian foods. I highly recommend going for a visit just to check the place out and maybe some new meal ideas!
Wonderful restaurant & at a great price. Market doesnt have the freshest of produce but was good variety of items.
Place is awesome clean and everything you need to make wonderful food Thank you ☺️
We love eating here. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. Plus you can shop after you finish eating.
Monday Korean food craving. Been wanting to come here since they open. It’s a Korean Supermarket with a cafe inside. Order at the supermarket cash register and take the ticket to the food counter to be prepare. Super fresh and delicious. Super economical. Bi Bim Bop, shrimp fried rice and fermented bean curd stew and a coke for $26
Always come here to stock up on all the essential from snacks to a home cook Korean meal. They also have a Korean restaurant attach to the market. There is a menu near checkout and you order and pay there. Take your ticket to the food counter once you are done paying to pick up your meal.
I use to live in Asia back during the Vietnam conflict years. I use to live in Los Angeles after I came back....just giving a reference on my eating a LOT of different Asian foods....,I need to say this is an unassuming restaurant that’s attached to a Korean Market and ..... it’s the best Korean meal I’ve had in 20+ years! The best Asian meal I’ve had in 20+ years. If there was a way to give it 10Stars....I would!
Best Asian market in San Antonio. Mostly Korean but friendly staff and the kitchen staff is top notch.
We were able to find what we wanted and more. Wish the korean corn dog HUT was open . Wanted to try Cafe but was packed, so thats a very good sign. Will be back.
Second time shopping here and can say its really great place to shop.
Lovely store, good selection. The best Asian market in San Antonio.
My best friend turned me onto this place and I will say I fell in love! The market had absolutely everything you could think of in terms of Asian cooking at home and the staff is always very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Now the food... if there was such a thing as heaven in food form this would be it!
Great korean store, really organized and clean
A day out with grandaughter..Great food .THAN we shopped and browsed .bought lots of snacks. I bought a bag of rice and fresh veggies ..and some vegetable seeds to plant in my garden. Going back with friends soon.
I love this place I go there for their powdered honey and the ginger honey tea.
Great Korean food!! Great selection and it doesnt smell bad inside
The food and the people where noice and helpful. I recommend the Asian market highly.
Nice grocery store with nice cafe inside.
Do not have gam ja tang. I only had it because the server said it is very good. Smells like bad pork.
I really loves this place. I was amazed at how many products they carry here. I didnt get to go to the cafe maybe next time. Im still excited.
Love shoping here for intresting finds and the japchi in the restaurant.
I had heard some good things about this place but I had a horrible experience. We were followed around the entire time we shopped and they tried to accuse my daughter of stealing. After they demanded to search us (and they did), they soon realized that WE DID NOT STEAL. I have never been more humiliated and insulted in my life! I will not be giving this place my business and I’ll be sure to spread the word to my friends & family about this
Everything you need if your craving a Korean meal at home or order and eat there. So good!! Disappointed the hot dog stand wasnt open.
Super nice check out kids.....first time going...small produce section was looking for celery and things...but they had huge carrots and alot of dry goods, frozen meats, noodles and all kinds of other things....will definitely go back and try the restaurant attached to it...smelled great.
I love shopping here, the food in the Cafe is delicious and the store has all of your basic Korean necessities or delights. The prices are also great!
We always like coming here. They always have a large selection of of items and we can always find what we need. The only reason for 4 stars was because the Gorae hotdog stand was closed. We were so looking forward to trying them..
A lot of Korean products I havent seen before. The Korean Corndog vendor was temporarily closed, which was my main reason for checking it out, so that was a bummer. Prices are a little higher than Im used to, but I also left with a decent haul of snacks and didnt feel like it broke the bank. Going back for sure.
A really good Korean market. Great selection of meats, produce and other products. It was busy when we shopped and the line can get long.
Its pretty good here...
They have horrible food temperature standards they make sushi with fish or different types of sushi and leave it sitting at room temperature on a kitchen table from probably open to close.stay away from there restaurant unless you want to get sick.
Amazing for anyone who love korean food or even someone who is curious. From snacks to frozen, korean hotdogs (amazing), even a little Cafe to order food and sit and eat.
Best Asian Grocery in San Antonio. Friendly staff and fresh food.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! Their selection is mediocre, the store is dirty and the prices are a little high.
Best korean restaurant in SA
My niece and I went in looking for a type of pastry and upon checking out the cashier said she was told to check her bag that is literally the size of a mans hand. Its a cross body.Really sad that my first experience here was my niece being accused of putting something in her bag. What she did put in her bag was her phone, but the man that was following failed to see that. At checkout we showed the bag and politely declined to complete our purchase. We are taking our business elsewhere.
IF YOU LIKE ASIAN FOOD THEN YOULL LOVE THIS MARKET.
Clean good selection. Will go back to get bagolgi beef and specially hotdogs
The market always has everything I need to cook Korean food and the attached restaurant has authentic tasting Korean food. They have 3 different types of MASAGO in various sizes! Which is very hard to find. I come here when I need a fix and no one has ever been rude to me. Do not mistake cultural differences and a language barrier as being rude.
This was my first time going to the cafe. You have to order your food at the market first, then take your ticket to the cafe to get your food. I was pretty excited to try it out, I love Asian food. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and was a little disappointed. The pork had no flavor at all and it wasn’t even spicy. The Kimchi was great! Actually everything else was great. I give it a three stars because I want to try it again, maybe it was an off day for the cooks. Oh it was during lunch so it was very busy too.The market was great! There were a lot of Asian snacks and soups! I can definitely see myself coming back to get some.
Has a lot of variety and the people working there were very nice and helpful!
An Asian grocery store with a selection of small staples. There is a restaurant attached to the place. There is a $5 minimum on credit card charges.
First time here and the place is very clean well organized with great service.
Customer service is not one of their strong suits, which I can overlook. The store itself is a decent size with a good variety of items and brands. Their prices are a little high, but compared to other shops it is the most reasonable. The vegetable section was a bit vacant but I did see a gentleman starting to restock as I was heading out. Sadly, the cafe was not open so will need to come back again to see how it is. The cleanliness of the store was decent. Definitely a good place to check out and possibly shop for your dinning needs.
Love the choices. Big market and had what I was looking for.
Absolutely terrific asian market! From everything, from the simple decour to the wide product selection to the sensible prices to the congenial staff, I was wonderfully impressed. This will be a staple grocery store from now on...
