Always love coming to this once little shop, its grown in the past years and Im so excited for all the new merchandise theyve been getting in. Always something cool to find and something absolutely delicious to take home. They more recently started selling Japanese ice creams at the register and theyre awesome. This market is incredible! They carry a great selection of Japanese groceries, houseware, anime merchandise, and even books! I come from a big city that has a lot leading competitors and this store could definitely keep up. It felt so authentic like I was back in Japan. They deserve the title Little Japan.

Had an amazing experience there, was my first time with my gf, manager of store gave us free candy for being a first time shopper. Hospitality was good, prices were reasonable. There are other cheaper markets, yes. But most people don’t understand shipping and buying overseas cost $$$ . Overall a good time :)

A little piece of Japan in San Antonio. They have a limited number of fresh vegetables in a refrigerated unit, and lacking a bigger variety of brands like the Japanese supermarkets Im used to in Japan, San Diego and New York City, which sadly San Antonio lacks. But Im grateful for Minnano - they carry enough that Im still able to have the ingredients to make many Japanese meals at home. Theres a decent selection to make sushi too. The dry goods include seasoning, a variety of noodles, including kishimen (a Nagoya noodle), which is my favorite. Come close to New Years, you can pick up some items to add to you osechi, saving you time. Theres more than just food here - health & beauty, holdhold, books and a variety of other thing. They recently expanded, with wider aisles and adding some extra items to their stock. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Its a great place to go. Without this store, Ill be lost in cooking Japanese.

I absolutely love this place was introduced to this place by a friend & have been going for a long time to not only get snacks & groceries. But for other essentials that I didn’t know I needed! The amount of Hello Kitty items is so great, I highly recommend going here if you like Japanese food. I recommend this a place to anyone who asks where I get my snacks from, the employees are so nice such a great atmosphere! My only complaint is the shop is a little small, & the music can be a bit loud. All in all love this place.

Going here is always a great adventure! I love finding new flavored snacks to try or yummy Ramunes! Its always a nice perk seeing my favorite Anime merch or beautiful Studio Ghibli items imported. (More Sailor Moon stuff please :D) I definately reccomend coming here and bringing friends and family. There is something special here for everybody 😃

First time going to Minnano and my kid was super happy, my wallet not so much 😂We were greeted by who I assume was the owner. She welcomed us in, speaking to us in Japanese and English and asked if we needed help or had any questions she was available to answer any. We walked around the store, putting snacks, toys and soups into our Sanitized yellow basket. As we checked out, the very kind woman packed our things, separated by Knick knacks and food. She thanked us in Japanese as we walked away and we could not have been any happier. Thank you for making our day, my daughter was super happy, she loved the compliments given to her by the Owner. We felt very welcomed and I will be glad to come back and spend more money 😅

This is the cutest little Japanese market. The store while small, has an incredible selection of spices, soups, candies, and even a decent refrigerator section. Every time I have stopped by they are usually restocking something and everything is always easy to find.

Amazing store with a good selection of items ranging from rice, ramen, drinks, mochis, candies to books and gift items. Even play great music as you are shopping. The owner is very sincere and enjoys conversations with her customers. Great to see she values your business. Will definitely be back for another trip soon!

Super friendly and helpful staff! I was able to find enough components to make actual ramen broth at home there. They had so many incredible ingredients, my mind was blown! What an absolute oasis of wonderfulness and flavor in the middle of this bland desert we call San Antonio!

Best place in the city to get all your Japanese products, I personally love coming to this store at least once a week to get a stockpile of either my daily coffee or ramen that I enjoy. They are always adding new products on the shelves and they also can take requests for items that you have had previously over in Japan which makes the store even better. The staff is also super friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the products that you are looking at. I also enjoy having the ability to buy coffee or drinks by the case so I can have a good stockpile before I need to come back and get more!

Very polite staff.Only draw backs is that there is only 1 cashier so the line you will be waiting in is like 30-45 minutes. There was a very good selection of food items, but I do wish there was more variety of stationary, activity items and clothing. For example, manga or kimonos were an option, that would be ideal because it would spread more of the Japanese culture in Sa Antonio.

I absolutely adore this store. I come here to get my natto and shirataki noodles. I usually end up buying more than I came in for because they have such great selection of stuff. For a small location, theyve managed to pack a wide variety. The staff are all wonderful and extremely friendly. I live coming here and highly recommend it to everyone.

I honestly used to love this place, it has everything my wife and I need for cooking at home, and the owners are very nice and helpful, but the place is simply too small and crowded now. Were constantly getting pushed out of isles or blocked from grabbing what we came in for. I would love to go here more often again if we simply had more room to shop...

Great for finding new, yummy food and snacks. All kinds of mochi, noodles and rice toppings, sauces and rice. The staff are all friendly and helpful when I am searching for something specific and need some translation help. Lots of cute tea sets and rice bowls. They also have everyday utensils and things to use in the kitchen. Its just a fun place to spend some time looking around.

This place is awesome, I went here last year with a friend, we really loved the stuff there! There was even stuff that you couldnt get online. The items are very cute. I absolutely loved the skin care products. Me and friend spent a long time inside the store.. there are so many items, and theyre not as expensive as I thought theyd be!! I saw on a review that there was an employee being creepy with a few people, I did not have that happen to me, but if it does happen to any of yall, be careful!!

Great selection of Japanese food and household goods; and very reasonable prices. Wish they would move to a larger location because it is packed tight in here.There is not really handicap access other than a ramp to get to the entrance. Inside you will not be able to navigate a wheelchair or walker very well especially if there are other shoppers.

This store has all your japanese cravings! I really like going there and stockings up on all the different ramen and drinks. They also have a lemon candy that looks like a life saver and Im addicted to it! The employees are extremely nice and helpful, they are very professional and make you feel like you are actually in Japan!

I’ve been to this place multiple times and each time is better than the last. I’ve told friends and family about this place and they all love it. The employees and cashiers are always so nice and helpful. They are never condescending and make you feel at home. They constantly get new snacks and drinks so it’s never the same which I enjoy. I finally took my boyfriend with me and he loved it. I’ve been to other stores and numerous conventions and always felt guilty for splurging on snacks. But here, the prices are reasonable and I never feel guilty for spending a lot.

I love this store. Everyone is super friendly. If you are not sure of something- ask. I try new food items every time because the staff takes the time to advise how to prepare and eat it. I buy candy, snacks and soups here for my workers. Home supplies like kitchenware, toiletries, decorations - Japanese enginuity at its finest. Just grab a basket and do it aisle by aisle. Dont bother with a list. Highly recommend the frozen meats, seafood, and curry.

From the moment you enter you are greeted you fall in love with this hidden gem. The store is filled to the rim with Japanese groceries and trinkets. They dont sell any Manga items but they make it up by playing some anime openings in the background.

Ive been shopping here for a long time. I havent been here in a while until recently that I was desperate for okonomi sauce and Japanese mayo. I am proud to say the staff of Minnano have taken precautions to keep people safe. Good job. This place was already always very neat and clean prior to the virus. The staff is still very help, nice and sweet. Including to me this overweight Otaku with a terrible Pokémon Máster cap to hide my covid hair cut, but cut I mean I need a hair cut badly. Please visit Minnano, because its clean, neat, safe and happy. If Minnano could be an anime character it would be an adorable little character name Min-chan with a little mask and hand sanitizer. 👍🏽 There you go my cringe review. Oh and the Hokkaido butter snacks are delicious!

Love this place! Its always a joy coming to see what new products have been delivered. Pricey, but you have to take into account everything is shipped. You may not be able to get all your groceries here, but you can get the hard to find truly Japanese/Asian treasures.

Authentic japanese market! a bit small, but everything is imported from japan, even some of the meats and fish! very friendly japanese staff as well which is to be expected from japanese customer service! no complaints other than the small venue, and the mall where they are located is a empty and unappealing.

You should stop on in to this quaint little shop, you will be delightfully greeted in Japanese by the lovely ladies there and immediately thrusted into an assortment of japanese delicacies and treasures. I recommend coming here for snacks(seriously, half the store is dedicated to snacks) or ingredients for an impromptu Japanese meal. Check out the fridges in back for all the true magic that this place has to offer and dont forget to check out the assortment of kit kats and pocky flavors.

Selection is pretty amazing as is the Service, the employees all have a wonderful presence and will ask if you need any assistance. I stock up on drinks and noodles on every visit and in the process I always end up with one or two of their many gift items also. Definitely worth a visit if you want a great selection of asain food and an even better selection if your weeb game is itching.

Compact but well-stocked store carrying shelf-stable items like curry roux, furikake, rice, dried and bottled green tea, and a fairly large selection of refrigerated and frozen foods, including 漬物, sashimi, frozen natto, prepared meals, and limited fresh veggies like れんこん. I was hoping to find 茗荷 or 南高梅 but no luck. Also a good selection of health and beauty products, candy, English language books on Japanese culture, and some housewares, appliances, and ceramics. Very helpful staff.

This can be reported to the City of San Antonio.
