Service and reliability are a zero. There are better shops in town that will watch out for you and treat you like a customer they care about. If you’re considering 84, don’t do it

I worked there for a little bit before getting fired for doing my job! My boss told me to go with a driver and help him deliver. I did, when I got back he asked me where I was and I told him that he was the one that sent me with one of the drivers. He didn’t believe me and fired me. While I was on a ride with the driver I got my arm cut open, I called management about it and they told me to deal with it myself. I overhear some of the drivers wanting to quit because of management. Definitely would not recommend working there at all.

Forklift drivers were arrogant the one that unloaded me had a atitude and kept ramming the lumber and my trailer,one in Orange was rude from go was my first time there then backed out in front of me as i drove through the lot like he was to be feared,people in the office were professional

84 lumber on Riverside in San Antonio,Texas employee Dan Martinez is an exceptional employee that works there! He went beyond his responsibilities and delivered our materials on his own, knowing how backed up the delivery trucks would be and I am so grateful for what he did for us this evening! Thank you for going beyond your duties at work and helping your customers when we could had been waiting almost a week! You have Awesome customer service skills and I will be shopping for all my building materials at 84 lumber from now on, with of course the help of Dan! Thank you again!

Good place to work for if you want to drive locally in SA.

They sell James Hardie but the guy in the front desk said they dont sell the nails for it. I can get both almost everywhere else, but I did see that they had quality lumber.

The two young men were very helpful. I will recommend this place for sure.

There closed Saturdays and Sundays!! Im building a house and I was super excited to see a new building material store in SA, I drove all the way down there after hearing there new commercial only to see they were closed (its Saturday) And they close at 5pm M - F! I think they are just looking for contractors and not do it yourselfers?? Oh well

If youre a truck driver pack your lunch theres no urgency as of we as drivers get paid by the hour, and we still have other customers that our waiting but if it was there 84 trucks waiting they wouldnt be so happy the drivers getting paid by the will ride the clock all day .
