Place was nice, chocolates delightful..... The cashier was very respectful, professional and cordial. Didnt gave five stars, the place need more sitting, they ran out of brownies, cookies and strawberrys 🍓 and the barista/coffee maker was rude, I asked if that was my order and he didnt even turn around or direct me, the cashier did.

Tried treasure island, one of the best desert option at Ghirardelli. So delicious and awesome with a different flavor at every scoop you have. The classic hot chocolate was awesome. You can also try there chocolates and mix and match accordingly to your preference.

Best Chocolate Shake ever!!!! Shop was immaculate, Sales lady and Ice cream server were super nice and friendly, but the Chocolate was the $#!+!!!!! So dang GGOOOOOOOODDD!!!!! Tasted like Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream, so rich...❤️❤️❤️❤️ Will definitely be stopping in next time I visit.

One of the best desserts Ive ever had. It was so good I dont even remember the name of it. Cookies and cream Ive cream, chocolate chip cookie chunks, fudge, whipped cream, and chocolate squares, all in a chocolate dipped waffle bowl. Definitely a dessert you want to share with someone, I couldnt finish the whole thing. Workers were very friendly and the place was very clean. Highly recommend. They also have lots of packaged chocolates you can buy.

My girlfriend had been bugging me about feeding her ice cream for months. Its somewhat rare we get ice cream because weve been on a healthy binge these days. When we heard San Antonio had a Ghirardelli Ice Cream shop, we literally planned a trip out from Houston for a cheat-meal weekend!Ghirardelli is located at the Shops at Rivercenter mall by the Riverwalk (beside Hooters). They have a lot of chocolate individually wrapped scattered throughout throughout the shop, and you can also order items from their menu at the counter. We heard their Sundaes are what to come for, so we went with the Treasure Island Warm Brownie Sundae for $11.95. This consisted of vanilla ice cream, a warmed Ghirardelli half and handmade hot fudge topped with whipped cream, diced almonds, and a cherry. This was a whopping 980 calories. Talk about an ultimate cheat meal. We decided to share it to cut down on our calories. Its surprising it had so many calories as it was only a small cup that could fit in one of my hands.As I scooped a piece of warm brownie and cold vanilla ice cream in my mouth, I was forced to close my eyes and let my emotions run free. I definitely food-gasmed at that very moment. It was magical, and Ill never forget it. Go experience this once in your life at least. Ill have what hes having.Overlooking the menu, I saw an Earthquake Family Favorite which served four people. This one was made with eight scoops of ice cream with eight toppings and banana topped with whip cream, diced almonds, Ghirardelli Mini Dark Chocolate Chips and cherries for an astounding $39.95 and 3930 calories. Wow. If I wanted to commit suicide by dessert, I would definitely order this one. At least Id go out happy.Overall, this was a fun experience. The memories of mixing a warm Ghirardelli brownie with cold ice cream still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. Yeah, its super pricey and could probably kill you with all its calories, but do yourself a favor, and add this place to your bucket list of desserts to try. Youll thank me later.

I walked in randomly and was greeted by a lady that smiled at me welcomed me then gave me chocolate. I was impressed. I had no clue what I was doing the staff helped me out. The classic sundae I got was good. I was expecting super teeth melting sugary sweetness but was pleasantly surprised by restraint sugar and the wonderful flavors.

If only you could taste this from the picture- the picture does not do it justice! SOOO good you will definitely have too much sugar but it is well worth it. Absolutely recommend waiting for this amazing dessert!

My wife and I stopped in for ice cream. I had double - she had single. $16. Mine was butter pecan. Not very good with some freezer burn and old tasting pecans. Servers not especially happy to be there. Wife said hers was fine. Will not return.

Disappointed in the service from the cashier. Not friendly or attentive to my queations at all. When speaking to her - she completely ignored me. I just walked out and went next door to the tea shop. Will not return to this location.

The employees were not friendly. One, in particular, whom I believe was the manager, looked like she hated her job.

Ghirardelli chocolate is the best chocolate fudge ever. Originally from San Francisco Peaks ice cream Parlor shops are so rare the fact they have one in San Antonio is amazing. The only other time that I can have Ghirardelli fudge sundaes is at Disneyland. I highly recommend you to Crissy Field or the world famous fudge sundae

Today was my first time trying ghirardelli. Great service. Great employees. I got a treasure island it was so good. I was greeted by the staff and offered a sample right when I walked in. One employee by the name bianca helped me so much by helping me pick out a great gift for my daughter. I will be coming back for sure now not only because of the sundaes but because of the staff. Pricey, but well worth the splurge! We went one day during our vacation and got sundaes. The salted caramel sundae was one of the best ice cream concoctions I’ve had. The next day, we were in the area with some time to kill and decided to have their shakes. Oh man, their shakes are to die for. The cookies and cream shake required a spoon and was more like cookies and cream ice cream. My husband got the chocolate quake shake with a mint chocolate chip bar and it was heaven. Again, it’s not cheap. But for the quality I was happy to pay and would go again!

I went here on my birthday night. It was like I died and went to Chocolate Heaven. They even had lots of samples!! It was amazing!! My husband and I decided to purchase a small bit of chocolate for ourselves because the samples were so large. It was all delicious. My new favorite is their sea salt chocolate. I totally recommend it!! I could go there and have a refill (I wish they have) jijiji. At first is super sweet and it at the end, it pops the saltiness...mmmm just perfect!

This location is very conveniently located on the Riverwalk and is clean and well stocked. Worth adding to your visit to San Antonio for sure if you are a chocolate lover!

We came for dessert..hot fudge sundae..most delicious! The staff were friendly, and quick to get our order out. Easy access to the Riverwalk, so one can burn off those extra calories! For me, prices were a bit expensive...a bit over $11 for a sundae, which was average in size...it was delicious though!!

I was greeted immediately upon entering and offered an sample chocolate/caramel square. The do not push questions trying to make a sale, they only ask obvious ones. Prices are exactly as expected, moderate. I was thanked upon my exit. This place may not get the foot traffic other shops get, but the staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome.
