Lamb bowl was delightful and comes in at a good price point. Ingredients were fresh and the flavors played well together. The Ms had the falafel plate, tasty was reported as good, however very dry, definitely have to get extra sauce to make these palatable. Decorum was well presented, and comfortable. What brought everything to a screeching halt was the horribly loud odor being emitted by the restroom sanitary drains, this stench was noticeable 10 feet from the bathrooms and called everything else into question. This needs to be remedied asap, wholly acceptable.

Great little spot for lunch with pretty good service. The grape leaves were good but the rice filling was a bit dry. The lamb bowl was very tasty and quite filling. The ground lamb was seasoned great and amazing. The baklava was also great, super crisp with great flavor and not too sweet. Their Turkish coffee had good flavor and was strong but I have no reference point on authenticity or quality.

Pretty solid and tasty Mediterranean place (4.5 stars). They were out of gyro meat which was disappointing but they substituted lamb kabob which was also really good. The dip trio (hummus, babaganoush, and tzatziki sauce) was also excellent. Friends got the lamb burger and salad with lamb kabob meat and we were all pleased. Only recommendation would be to turn down the music slightly to make it easier to talk.

This is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant that will not only please the senses visually, but will delight the taste buds too. The warm atmosphere when you enter with traditional music playing softly in the background transports you too the heart of the Mediterranean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The attached coffee shop is elegantly decorated. I ordered my food to go and enjoyed every bite. I cant wait to return and eat here again. This is a must stop!

I would say the best Shawarma bowl that l have ever had! The Labneh specially the bread was so soft and taste really good! Food is very good here, and we were regular customers. Always take out due to COVID. Today, I placed a telephone order at 6:15 pm, and they told me it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived at 6:48 pm, and I called to check if order was ready before getting off. They told me it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. So I patiently waited another 10-12 minutes in my car, and I called again at 7:00 pm. My order was still not ready, and they said they were still going to take more than 5 minutes for it to be ready because they were working on multiple orders at one time. At this point it’s 45 minutes since I called order in. Order was probably not going to be ready until between 7:15-7:30. I ended up cancelling order. If they had told me when I called it in that it was going to take an hour, I would have decided if I was willing to wait an hour or not. But when I’m told 25-30 minutes and that keeps changing, that’s not cool.

This place was recommended by a friend of mine. I really enjoyed everything that I ordered from the Lamb Kebab Rice bowl and Roasted garlic hummus. Food was delicious but service was incredibly slow (there were only 3 tables at any one time. This was at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday. We repeatedly asked for sweetener for our coffee, and when we were finally paying the bill, we were told that they had nothing but raw sugar. Really? What restaurant runs out of splenda/sweet and low. Anyway, service has only gotten worse over the last few times. Can no longer recommend.

Food is great, but owner wants to tell people what they should order. Probably the reason I’ve never seen a waiter/waitress work here again. The turnover must be crazy, they never know the menu cause they never work here long enough to. They also implemented a new policy where you are forced to choose options you don’t want due to the need to push their subpar items on their customers.

Good food; poor, poor customer service. I ordered two rice bowls online with two extra sides of sauce. I arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes later to pick up my order then had to wait another 25 minutes for my order. When it was ready (45 minutes later) I was told that I had to pay for the two extra sauces I had requested. I would have gladly checked that option when I initially placed my online order; however, it was not available. They said that they would not give me the sauce without paying for it. I told them that I was not going to pay for sauce after having to wait that long to get my food. I asked for a refund for my meal and they said that they could not do it in store and that it would take 7 to 10 business days to process such a request. Are you kidding me? I will NEVER eat at Tripolis again.

I was not very impressed with my meal from Tripolis unfortunately. I placed an order for the Chicken Shawarma with fries to pickup and ate it not long after I received it. The fries were very undercooked and not enjoyable at all. As for the wrap, the pita bread itself was good but the shawarma was unlike any Ive ever had before.. it was very wet and was seasoned with a ton of pepper. If I lived in the area I would give this place another try and update the review but overall based on this meal it was a pass for me.

We came for our lunch break and had to wait 40 minutes to get our food. When the food arrived we asked for to go boxes; since our lunch is only an hour. The boxes never came nor did the straws that we asked for. When the food did finally arrive it was barely warm, the cheese had congealed as if it had been left sitting for awhile. I managed to wolf down a few bites before we had to pay and leave my uneaten food on the table. We ordered salad and didnt even get the dressing until we were paying to leave. If you do not have the waite staff/kitchen staff that is needed to service a dull restaurant then perhaps only open 50% of your tables.

Food: 4Service: 1Possibly the slowest place Ive been to. Went during lunch and there were 2 other people in the entire place. Waitress wouldnt let me order right away, she wanted to get my drink beforehand. Took about 15 minutes to get a glass of water and then about another 10 minutes for her to come back around and take my order. The food came out at a reasonable time and was pretty good. But unfortunately, it was so slow that you wont catch me saying it was worth the wait. I might peak my head in --in a few months from now-- to see if the waitresses/waiters have changed, but til then...

Very expensive, though i was excited for my Turkish latte, it was good, but their rose petal lemonade wasnt the same each time they made it, the rose was too potent and wasnt as refreshing as i thought it would be, the pita bread was amazing and so was the dipping sauce they had, im not too sure what to think about their gyro though, wasnt all that, the mint lemonade was probably the best refresher they had. Theres no alcoholic beverages there, and the waitress was lacking just a little, I respect her for the amount of work she handled that I put her through though!

The $5 babaganoush was half hummus and tiny. The chicken shawarma was covered in flecks of burnt chewy pieces that were clearly not chicken. My traditional gyro was cold, but still tasty. I was excites to try this place since i read good reviews. However i was very disappointed with the service. Aince the moment i got there they took long to come and ask if i wanted something to drink. I told the waiter i was ready to order and she said she would put my drink first and she would be back. The tea took about 15 or more to come. Then she asked about any appetizer and i told her i was going to get the sambuzas and my entree and she said she would go to put the order for my appetizer and then come back. It took about 20 min to get the appetizers. Then she asked finally about my entree and i waited for 30 more min without my food and i couldnt stand it anymore so i got up and asked for my check on what i had. Then they started to give me pushback about wanting to charge me for the food that was already made, however i never received it! I was there over an hour in total and at the end i didnt have my entree. Apparently this is their system, they cant take your full order when you request it. The owner seemed annoyed by my feedback and used the waiter to communicate because she was too busy. Its really sad that the place is empty already and they didnt want to do whats right to obtain customers. This was my first and last time.

BLUF: VERY tasty burger; other food also of hi-qualityBACKGROUND:-avid foodie-experiences traveling in regionSUMMARY:-Lamb-hamburger: amazing-green tea w/mint: amazing-very nice atmosphere & décor-we will be returningSTORY:We tried this location due to San Antonio Burger Week as part of a 4-restaurant burger-survey, which was made much more doable by bringing a party of four. Of all of the places we visited, Tripolis Lamb-burger was BY FAR the best. The spiced (not spicy) meat (infused with feta cheese)...along with their special dip, veggies, a more feta cheese...was absolutely incredible and set a very high bar for the rest of our burger-adventure which was not surpassed. Our experience with this burger was so positive that we opted to return later that week for another round wherein we actually had an opportunity to sit inside the restaurant instead of doing as wed done before (taking the burger to-go, quartering it, and consuming it outside in the parking lot). Our decision to return was entirely-worthwhile: the inside had a very pleasant atmosphere, with décor that reminded me and my wife of our travels. Servers were very nice & knowledgeable, capable of offering us their recommendations when queried. We started with their green tea w/mint and persian tea. Both were good. My wife (whos a tea-guru) was especially impressed by their green tea w/mint...and I must say that I also thought it to be very tasty. We also opted to try an item temporarily on the menu for Burger Week: their Libyan Lamburger, wherein they do the regular Lamb-hamburger but also add egg, arugula, and harissa (house made hot sauce). The these items did kick it up a notch and youll be lucky if they keep that on future menus. We rounded out the evening with a sampler tray of various sides (hummus, labneh, baba ganoush) which was also very tasty. All in all, a very worthwhile tripe. We WILL be returning.Incidentally, we might never have stopped there if not for the ingenious San Antonio Burger Week (an opportunity to support your local restaurants during this critical time while you get to eat, drink, and try new places - satxburgerweek.com ). Id passed by it multiple times and am very glad that we took the opportunity to do so because the food/experience that we have had there are AMAZING.
