Everything is color coded like a rainbow which makes my heart so so happy.I found a few great rompers and shirts this time. Now I’m not one to leave reviews... but this place is one of the BEST there is. It’s one of my favorite places to shop — and where so many of my clothes are from. The managers are GREAT, and the employees are as well. Today Issac helped us check out, and he was kind, helpful, and fun to talk to. He made the shopping trip even better for us. We will definitely be going back!

11/18: I went here today for the first time and was really impressed with how clean and well organized the store was. The clerk that helped me was very friendly, and I liked that the store had a few new items along with all of the thrift items. There was a large variety of clothing, shoes, and accessories. I plan to go back soon since I didn’t have enough time to really see everything I wanted to, which is a good problem to have!1/19: Stopped in today and again was super pleased with the selection of clothing and with the super sweet guys that work there! They were helpful and very friendly, and I got some cute new pieces for my wardrobe! ❤️

I absolutely LOVED going to this location. All of the employees were so sweet and eager to help me while I was shopping. Also, the clothes were so cute and I got about 5 darling fall outfits for only $40, I mean it’s honestly amazing. I highly recommend going to Uptown and bypassing fast fashion. We have to take care of our plant and thrifting is such a small way to make a huge impact. I can’t wait to go back. 😍

Cute stuff but it was overpriced and it smells like dog piss as soon as you walk in. Disappointing especially for a thrift store it should have better prices and not smell worse than the DI. The staff didn’t greet me at all and when I asked if I could see something that was up high they said go ahead and reach for it. Which I’m short and obviously could not reach that high. Not very helpful. This is my first time going in and I will not be returning.

I love being able to buy all the name brand clothes I love for the fraction of the price! I also have always had such a great experience with all the store employees! I usually go shopping with my infant/toddler and they always make sure I have a large dressing room and keep my clothes to try on stocked by the door to make it easier for me. And I love the price I get when I sell my own clothes to them! They give such a better price then all the other used clothing stores!

The employees are great and I dont really have complaints about the prices. But the mens selection here is a bit pitiful and repetitive, especially compared to other Uptown Cheapskates Ive stopped by at. Its hard to find clothing that stands out when theres ten Champion t-shirts on a single rack.

Love Uptown Cheapskate! The South Jordan location has the nicest employees. My husband and I hardly have time to go because of work but we came in about 10 minutes before it closed to get some work clothes for myself and the girls were super nice and understanding about it. Super grateful!

I haven’t been to this location in a couple of years, but boy, have I been missing out! I found way more than I was actually looking for, and even after talking myself out of some brand new adidas clothing that I already regret not buying, I walked away with three incredibly adorable spring tops. Plus, everyone there was insanely nice and helpful. I actually sold some clothes, and so I was able to make almost $40 in store credit, so the clothes I bought didn’t actually cost anything. Thanks guys for having such an awesome store!! I won’t stay away for so long this time 😂

I went in today for the first time, they had super cute stuff! Great brands, quality, and pricing! I loved I got name brand items without the large price tag! They also had new items and I liked that too! It was very organized and clean! The workers were very nice.***Update*** originally I gave them 5 stars and changed my rating due to the fact of very poor customer service. I was allergic to the sweater I bought and took it back with the tags the very next day. They would not return or exchange the item and told me they would be able to buy it back for $5...when I bought it the day before for $15! What!!!! I think thats absolutely crazy. Item, tags, receipt and all! Im unimpressed, and think thats absolutely awful customer service.

Good clean store: sale this past weekend was a little hard to shop as the sale items were somewhat separated and somewhat mixed in with the other clothes. I would suggest if you have to go through and mark the clothes down to put them all in a clearance section too makes it easier and more enjoyable for a very advertised sale having it mixed in decreases sale through rate

South Jordan uptown is my favorite! All the employees who’ve helped me have always been so kind and friendly! Some Uptown’s are so over crowded with clothes that it takes way too long to look through the racks, but this one is super organized! I never leave empty handed and have had the best luck finding gems here!

I was very satisfied with my experience here. All the staff were really friendly and social. I brought in a good amount of clothing and the offer I got for my stuff made me very happy. I bought two shirts, shoes, a jacket and a hat all for around fifty dollars. If you need to sell or buy any clothes I would recommend Uptown Cheapskate over anywhere else. You wont be disappointed.

Recently found your store, and was highly disappointed, amongst the clothing I took in was expensive brand-name clothing from shorts to jeans some of which were over $200 jeans and I took in three bags and your people literally pick through the stuff and only took a few items I was absolutely shocked that they did not trade in the brand new pairs of American eagle shorts or jeans amongst other items because Ive seen what hangs on the shelves in your store and can say that the stuff that I took in was nicer than some of the stuff that was hanging on the shelf. When the girl told me that she would gladly donate the rest of the stuff for me I laughed to myself and I said no thank you Ill donate it to a family that actually could use it since your store wasnt interested. I didnt need the money nor did I need the in-store trade I was just trying to clean out my belongs that no longer fit.

This is a great thrift store with a lot of good clothes at nice prices. I’m glad I finally went in to look at their stuff. I’m excited to go back and shop for more clothes. The staff were nice as well, and were very helpful.

This is the best uptown in the valley!! I recently came here for the first time and I’m so freaking impressed. Good selection, good prices, and most importantly good quality items. Oftentimes at other uptown’s, I constantly find damaged, stained, or unwearable items. Not at this one though! I’m impressed by the high standard of quality this South Jordan uptown had. Also, the employees were the kindest and most helpful bunch of any other uptown.I love thrifting and this uptown makes it easy by selecting adorable clothes from amazing brands. Shopping here is a great way to keep a sustainable wardrobe and a great way to save some money. All around a good experience.I used to shop at the AF store all the time since it’s closest to me but this South Jordan store is worth the extra drive, for sure.

My girlfriend and I picked up some great winter clothes including an Eddie Bauer coat and North Face boots plus a whole lot more for a great deal. Easily a must for people who want to save a little but still get top quality. The owner Preston is very down to earth and a delight to meet.

Uptown cheapskate has been one of the main stores I attend to. It’s a wonderful shopping place and each and every time I have a great experience there, the staff is wonderful and kind and the clothes are cheap and cute !

I’ve had a terrible experience here. I went in to sell 5 pairs of shoes and a couple jackets. The shoes and jackets have never been worn or have only been worn once. They were all in near perfect condition and are very up to date on style and fashion. I purchased them from high end stores. They girls behind the counter told me they couldn’t take my stuff because it was too worn and had scuffs and tears in them. That’s not true at all. Nothing was scuffed and torn. I walked around the store while waiting and looked in detail at the shoes and jackets they do have and what I saw was terrible. They shoes they have bought from someone had dirt and scuffs all over them, were totally out of date, and had tears in them... but they wouldn’t take my nice and in good condition shoes and jackets.

I am never disappointed shopping here. They always have name brand gems! I also love that that I can trade in my used clothes as to get cash... to buy more clothes. 😀

I’m so glad I finally went and checked this place out. I am all about second hand clothing and this place was definitely a step up from other places I’ve shopped without being a big step up in price! The sales people were helpful and friendly and I found some amazing deals! My husband and I will definitely be back. My review is strictly off of selling my gently used items. I brought my clothes in tonight and for 12 items, all being name brands majority PINK items and VS, I was offered 42.00 cash or 52.00 in store credit. This is 3.50 an item (cash). I declined and went to Plato’s Closet to see what they would offer and I got 87.75 for 12 items. It seemed the inventory is a nicer selection at Uptown, however if you’re selling I would take to Plato’s Closet in Draper.

I came in and dropped of two large bags of clothes to sell. I forgot to go and reconcile the payment amount later that day, (busy day) so I called them and asked if they could give me until tomorrow to get that taken care of. They agreed and they were very nice, efficient, and patient with me. I will for sure be coming back here.

Love this store! My first time there and Preston helped me find a brand new Anthro swimsuit that I LOVE. I went back yesterday and left with a giant garbage bag filled with stuff. I have always heard of uptown cheapskate but I had never been before. It’s a cute place with a ton of clothing options! I don’t usually buy clothes for myself so I thought this place was nice to treat myself without breaking the bank. Such a wide and wonderful variety of designer clothes. They have many sizes and styles. Make sure you go there with an idea of what you want to get or you might buy the whole store. The store is very clean and well organized. Plenty of dressing rooms and the staff is very helpful.

The selection was fine enough. lots of cute higher end stuff but definitely lots of dirty, bad quality (think like DI) stuff too. but if you’re trying to sell, go to the one in salt lake. they said they’d need 40 min to look through my stuff (literal bins full) and they took maybe 5 minutes to do so. not to mention the giant line of people before me. they didn’t take anything which was surprising considering the amount of amount of forever 21 and Ross quality clothing they do carry. definitely felt like the employed rushed through my stuff without actually looking at anything. i will happily continue my business with the other locations but don’t try to sell anything here.

The employees/customer service here was AWESOME. They had some great picks, for a second hand store. They have a section of new, discounted clothing, too, which was really cute, if youre not into the 2nd hand thing. But I can tell theyre picky about what they take because most of the clothes/accessories/shoes were quite nice!

They took forever to tell me they wouldnt buy any of my clothes. Looking around, they also have their items priced higher than at the name brand store. I saw the same sandals at Forever 21 for a lower price than they were here. Worst place ever.

I originally went to the store the day after Christmas. I was turned away and told to come back in a week because they were not buying that week. I went back in a week and was told that they had more customers than they could handle and that it would be a two-and-a-half-hour wait. Also, I would not be allowed to leave the store while I waited. I was to be held in the store like some sort of hostage.Well gee, I wonder why it was such a long wait? Could it be because they had been refusing business for a week? What a lousy way to run a business! I will never darken their doorways again!

After being humiliated and being accused of things that myself and children did not do at the salt lake location we decided to shop at the South Jordan location. Much better staff than the Salt Lake location. The staff here are so friendly and are very helpful.

They have my size, L & XL! And I love that I found a brand new shirt (retailed for $20) and I got it for $8! Great selection from all kinds of brands. Ill definitely be going back.

Its a good 45 minutes away from me, but 100% worth the drive; theres an UpTown 5 minutes from my home, but again, this location is the best in the west.Amazing styles and pieces for amazing prices. I have found many items in mint condition--tags still attached--for a fraction of the original selling price. You cannot beat that.I bring clothes in every few weeks to sell and am always super impressed with the professionalism and decorum of the employees. Everyone there is so friendly and remembers a lot of their shoppers by name. I LOVE THAT.Definitely check this place out, you wont be disappointed.

Just left this store after bringing some clothing items in to sell and will not be back. They did not end up buying anything which is totally fine and does not factor into my review today.The issue I had was with the way the girl handled the “buy.” As she went through the clothing items I watched her not even look at the clothes. She literally was talking and laughing with the young man who was also working and did not look at the clothes. She took them out one piece at a time, and without looking at them dropped them on the counter. When she finished this she picked all the items up and placed them back in the basket before calling me up. When she did call me up she said, “unfortunately we weren’t able to buy anything today. Just some normal wear and tear that happens to everyone’s clothes.”Had that been true that would be fine. However many of the items I brought in were brand new and still had tags on them. Name brand things like a Guess pea coat.... but hey, normal wear and tear, right?I’ll give the store the benefit of the doubt that they don’t treat all customers like this, but today that was what happened. I knew she hadn’t looked through it and that was confirmed again when she told me it was wear and tear (on brand new items never worn...) Again, the outcome of them not buying anything is not a factor because I didn’t want the clothes anymore and happily donated them, but the poor quality of service exemplified by her reasoning that was clearly out of left field is reason enough for me to not return.

They are so helpful. Great place to shop if you are on a budget. You can sell your gently used items to them too. Its demographic is teens through 30s.

The staff was so helpful (even let my 3-year-old have an emergency bathroom break!) and the selection of items exceeded my expectations. Everything was so well priced and I love that by not taking a bag for my purchases, a donation was made to charity (I visited the downtown SLC store today).
