I love this consignment store! Too Good To Be Threw has lovely furniture and clothes. Also, it is a great place to consign in San Antonio! Lately, I have received a monthly check from TG for my items that sold. The staff is nice too!

Walked in was never greeted throughout my visit. I felt very uncomfortable and not welcomed. Was planning on purchasing a beautiful table and hutch but forget it my money can go to a reputable place with employees who know how to greet customers.

Went in to look around for some items for my home, I’m actually a business owner and these employees had zero customer service skills. I walked around the whole place and not one person greeted me.

Recently took some very nice shoes, designer shoes, some never worn, 3 pair gently, only worn to a wedding, and two formal affairs, one 3 piece evening suit, one Ulta suede dress, one very nice dress, never worn, the attendant sized us up with an up and down glance and before I could turn the corner to shop, as Ive done here for years, my things had been declined! Stating the shoes were too worn and things were dated, I asked, dated? I was told they only accepted things that were two years old, ! I know for a fact this isnt true bc Ive purchased vintage pants, dresses, I had a lovely 3 piece evening suit, an Ulta suede dress, and tI actually saw two pairs of the exact same shoes that I had brought in, and the condition was not nearly as kept as were my shoes, I am an administrator from the Bexar County Courthouse retiree, I know quality clothes and take pride in how I present myself and how I keep my clothes,I felt like this biased, prejudiced, and Im very offended at the explanation I was given, one dress I had just purchased last week, and didnt return, so give me another explanation! I dont need an account, not do I need the money, but this is an consignment yso why not? My things were awesome, I understand you have the right to refuse any items, but this rejection is suspect!Had I been of a different persuasion, these things would have been accepted without a second thought, they were clean, classy, elegant, designer, and one box of shoes were gorgy, not a name brand but a beautiful brand new shoe that would esold in a minute!Very disappointed

I consigned a large beveled edge glass top table that was in excellent condition(glass). Upon picking up the table, I noticed it was chipped. I immediately reported this before leaving the store.After repeatedly trying to resolve this, there has been NO RECOURSE from their damage. Now the table is worth much less, and I will have trouble selling it.The elusive owner Kathy has made no effort to make this right. So long story short, be aware if they damage your articles they will ignore you and and reply with They are not responsible for damages so if you buy something and they damage before you pick it up.. they are not responsible You may want consider selling your items without splitting your profits with a store that shares no responsibility for damages when they have possession. So dissapointined.

Not a lot of clothing options but the furniture was kind of amazing! Prices were kind of like a regular furniture store but the pieces were pretty grand.

Neither location are what they were pre-virus. The selection in all departments has gone down in style, quality and quantity. The prices though, dont reflect this, which is understandable. Of course, this is merely my view. I am a long time shopper and consigner at both locations.

Do not work with these people. Their management is a joke right along with their employees. They will not give you a promised amount

Always an experience to go into that store. Lovely furniture and clothing at exceptional prices. All they would have to do is open a coffee bar (or wine) and you wouldnt want to leave.

This place has nice home decor and second hand items, however staff is not very friendly, no greeting and no one assisted.

This place is an absolute Circus Act! I called to find out their process on bringing in items for consignment. Easy enough one would think since they are a Consignment Store. No not so! The first gentleman who answered said he only knows about furniture and he would transfer me to clothing. Waited on hold and then someone picked up the phone and hung it up. Called back, a female answered and I asked again and she told me she couldn’t answer my questions but she would transfer me again. Placed on hold again and another gal picked up answering “are you waiting for clothing”? For the third time now I said I wanted to know the process on bringing in items and the %’s they offer. She states “oh I have to transfer you to Consignments”. Before she tried to transfer me again I said excuse me I have been transferred 3 to 4 times and hung up on once already. She stated she would just place me on hold and grab somebody from “Consignments”. Now on hold for the 4th or 5th time .... guess what?? The call is yet again disconnected! I called back and spoke to the gentleman who answered the 1st time and let him know it’s quite a Circus Act there and I would be writing a review on the incompetence and unprofessional experience they just provided to what could of been a very good customer.

FYI. They are closing at 5pm, or earlier if they are slow. So might as well call before you come. Please update your business hours on google so people don’t waste time trying to bring items to consign. Just a suggestion but Please add appointments so people can schedule time to bring items in.

Came to find a dress for a wedding shower. Found two perfect options for under $15 together! Sally was a great help. The jewelry cabinet is full of stuff awesome for gifts. Definitely coming back soon.

The name says it all! TOO GOOD TO BE THRIFT!!! This place has so much stuff it is wall to wall to wall backed with everything you can imagine! The prices are way too cheap! There is everything from brand new to used! The employee and owner were so friendly and inviting you could not resist buying at least one little trinket!

We are from McAllen, TX and came in search of a consignment store for the entire family with variety, quality & good service is always a plus.So we researched for the past 72 hours and we ended up here at “Too Good To Be Threw” and let us tell you, we were not disappointed, after 2-3 hours of shopping we found something for all of us in our group. Mrs. Charlotte was our helper, and she was so amazing & very patient as we had her running around being so very helpful. We found our “SPOT”. and we will be back ASAP ! Thank you ! Thank you ! You will love this establishment. If you are looking for QUALITY furniture, lamps, dishes, clothes/accessories, jewelry, etc., this place will hook you. The cost of many items is half to a third of price compared to a regular furniture store. Drop by and browse. Also, there are also new items placed on floor every other day. Many finds are treasures and the customer service is very professional.

I you are trying to sell your clothes make sure to ask about their policy. Basically you have 2 choices: you get 40% of the sale and you get your stuff back if they dont sell it or you get 50% of the sale but you dont get your things back. They say they donate it! If your items dont sell after 1 month they go on sale 25%off. After 2 months they go on sale 50% off.They are polite but not very friendly. When you bring your clothes they make you feel like they are doing a favor to you. They dont even say thank you for bringing your clothes! The other day when I left the store I had both my hands full with things including things I bought there. I was struggling trying to open the door with my back while holding all my things. There were a couple of attendants standing next to me, none of them offered to hold the door for me.Appart from that they have some nice things but I will try to sell my things somewhere else.

Total waste of my time and gas. Drove out of my way 20 minutes to get here and waited for a half hour for them to review my items. Then found they only take 7 or more items and were refusing most of my items even though they are in excellent condition. This place is so picky they act like they are Nordstrom or something. You are better off selling items yourself on Nextdoor, Facebook etc.

TERRIBLE CONSIGNING EXPERIENCE!I dropped off 9 Michael Michael Kors items that were between 1-3 season old and only worn once. They ranged from $68-$248 retail value. I trusted that they would be priced appropriately but I never received the confirmation email to access my account to keep track of my items. After contacting them twice I finally gained access to my account and found out my $248 dress had been listed at the price of $21.00 and I had received $10.50 of thats price when it was purchased. My $98 blouses had been listed at $15 and I recieved $7.50 when they were purchased. I am almost certain an employee decided to price my items at those ridiculous prices and bought them themselves. Otherwise, some VERY lucky customer made off with a brand new $248 dress for $21.In total I am receiving $34 for all 9 items after the $5 set up fee and $1 steam fee.I feel like I have been robbed and taken advantage of and I dont want this to happen to someone else. If you give them items do not leave until you know the price they will list each of your items for.P.s. The $248 dress was worn my Sonja Morgan on the Real Housewives of New York Season 7
