Ive been going here for years and before they became part of MyEye doctor. The doctors here are fantastic! Only reason to go actually and that is if you can reach anyone to make an appointment. The staff here are useless. The worst actually. Everytime you call they never answer and youll leave a message and never receive a reply unless you get mad on your message.Most recently, within the last few weeks, I kept calling to get someone to help me order new contacts with my new insurance. By the 3rd time I had to leave a message, I was a little more firm and told them someone needed to call me asap. I finally called a 4th time and someone answered named Gabby. She tried to help and said she was updating my information and insurance but she needed the manager to help her since she knew nothing about Tricare. She said she would call me back and I never heard anything. So I called back a few days later and left more messages. Finally I got someone else to answer and she looked me up and said nothing had been updated. So she said she was doing it but needed to contact their insurance specialist to help with Tricare. She swore shed call back in 30 minutes. Guess what? NEVER HEARD ANYTHING BACK. Dont claim on your automatic messages to take every insurance and have insurance specialists, if the staff cant even basic questions. I gave up. Moving to a new doctor.

I loved this place! The front desk is very professional and helpful and the doctor was personable, friendly, and explained anything I had questions about and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. They got me in the same day I called and wait time was minimal. This will def be my new regular optometrists.

I have been a patient at this office since it was formally known as Todays Eyes.It was super disappointing to find out the office would be transitioning to My Eye Doctor - F COVID -, since Todays Eyes truly offered some of the best brands and top quality frames you could find in the city.Despite the transition, both Dr. Ira Diskin and Dr. Maury Diskin are absolutely amazing optometrists. I wouldnt go to any other optometrist in San Antonio, because I know if they are taking care of things everything will be stress free!They are quick, personable, and always provide accurate prescriptions.I would recommend them to anyone I know looking for an optometrist.

I made the mistake of choosing another optometrist that was more convenient due to being in network with my insurance and closer proximity. My prescription ended up being wrong. I will gladly make the drive and pay out of pocket to have my mind at ease of getting the right prescription! Dr.Maury was fantastic. The ladies at reception were also wonderful.

From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, you feel like you received quality attention. The doctors and support staff are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. You never feel rushed and the doctor goes above and beyond to ensure you understand the reasons for your tests and the explanations of your results. I absolutely recommend!!

Long time patient. Absolutely think both Docs are great. They have a automated email that lets you know you are due for your eye exam. I scheduled online and went to my appointment. Eye exam went great and I ordered my contacts like I do every year. This year however, I get a bill in the mail for the eye exam. When I asked if they billed my insurance like every other time, I was told I was 11 days to early for my appointment and hadnt completed my full year therefore I was liable for the exam. Of course I reminder the front desk that they sent out the email letting me know I was due, and at no point did they tell me I was early when I arrived on my scheduled appointment time. When I challenged the front desk, the only response was, not sure how that happened, sorry... At the end of the day, it is my responsibility to verify, but who really does. Especially since for the past 5 or 6 years it had never been an issue before. It is a real shame because the doctors really are great at their craft. oh well... Ill find another..

Wow how this place has fallen apart in the last 6 months. This use to be the best place all around to get your eyes checked. Over the last 3 years they have not completed one order right for the wife or myself. We delt with it anyway. Well for about 26 1/2 years you could not beat these drs or staff. Well the last 6 months they sold out wont answer the phone, wont return calls, and are rude when you have concerns when you finally get ahold of them after 3 months of trying on the phone. Im guessing they dont want us after almost 3 decades of loyalty. Its super sad and disappointing. Ira was like an Uncle to me. Unfortunately looks like what were accustomed to is no longer what we will get here. Time to move on let them get their little national people in and ruin the family like atmosphere they had for so long. I have not received any missed calls from yall. Yall said you try to call me but I have not missed one call. Dont tell me you have but didnt.

I had a great experience. The Dr. took his time and offered a very detailed explanation of my test results and corrective plan of action. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous while taking every precaution to keep the environment safe during this time of pandemic.

My family and I are all patients of Todays Eyes, and weve always had good experiences. Ive seen Maury the last few times and hes personable and friendly just like his dad. They take the time to give a thorough exam and answer questions. Ive never felt rushed like Ive felt with a lot of doctors. Just went for my yearly exam a few weeks ago and got new glasses. It was a pleasant experience as usual.

I am probably Dr. Iras longest term patient-I saw him in Houston before he came to San Antonio. I have always had consistent quality care and no issues. This time I saw Dr. Maury who continues the tradition. I would highly recommend them to anyone for first rate service.

The wait time to see the doctor is ridiculous! The last few times I have been there I have waited at least 45 minutes to an hour. Ive been seeing both doctors for years, but I will be looking for a new optometrist next year. They have become way too busy. My time is valuable. The frames are pricey, but I think they are trying to be upscale. To me upscale means quality products delivered with great, timely service. I certainly dont mind paying more for a quality product, but I no longer think their services are worth it. I certainly didnt feel appreciated as a customer.

Great team working there, they had me in and out with the perfect pair of frames. I was seen by Maury, he was great. I can finally see after 33 years. The store was nice, I like the modern theme going on and their selection of frames is the best in town. I would like to thank all of them for a job well done.Looking back I cannot think of anything that would have made it better, great people, great selection, comfortable waiting room and excellent prices! The front office has been helpful with recommendations on frames and how to use my insurance to get the best benefits. The staff is friendly and helpful. Both doctors are nice and even fun to visit. Dr. Maury has been my doctor the last 2 or 3 exams. He is excellent at adjusting my multi-focal contact lenses to sharpen my vision . He has helped me delay the constant need for reading glasses. Yay!

I had a bump that was left over for three months after taking antibiotics to heal the infection of the stye. The dr gave me cleaning wipes and suggested I do warm compresses after the stye was healed. He didn’t refer a specialist. He charge my insurance like he was a specialist. All he did was send me home with eye cleaning wipes. Wished he would have referred me to someone who could help. Today I’m getting the bump drained with no help from this dr.

I’ve been going here for a few years now. Dr. Maury Diskin is great! I have gone to a different doctor last year & had issues with my prescription. I came back here & turns out they didn’t give me the right one. Dr Diskin fixed it & now I can see again.Drs are great, front desk is great, wait times are short, everyone works fast & efficiently. Never switching doctors again.❤️

Doctor was great explaining to me how my eyes work in a way where i can understand! VERY HELPFUL. and how he would do his best to find the right contacts that fits most comfortable for me. AND HE DID! Staff was great too at scheduling, rescheduling, answering phones and really great customer service!

After a bad experience with a rude doctor, coming here was amazing! Everything from scheduling with a simple phone call to walking through the door. The staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor exceeded my expectations on his professionalism and knowledge while still being a casual person. The office is very modern and has amazing technology, one thing I hate is having the air blown in my eye. These guys have a more modern machine and there is no need for it. The doctor was extremely patient with me, and talked to me like I had been seeing him for years, and I absolutely loved that. I definitely will be seeing them for now on!

I used to love this place but no longer do. The front desk staff is so RUDE! Theyre constantly chatting to themselves. They even answer the phone rudely. The doctor is nice super funny my only complaint is that I had been wearing a prescription that was too strong for me, for 2 years! I had told him about it but he disagreed. I have found a new place to get my eye exams and I love it! I will no longer come to todays eyes after everything.

The optometrist is great. I have never met an optometrist with a sense of humor - very refreshing.The staff however is for the most part terrible. I had some really bad experience with them. Not customer oriented at all. I am really surprised about all the great reviews they receive maybe it is only reflection on the optometrist and not the support staff.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and couldnt tell who worked there and who was a customer, stood in the shop for about 20 minutes without ANY acknowledgment whatsoever. Asked two people, who we surmised to be employees, a question and they blew us off. NOT impressed!! Walked out and will not go back!Even if everyone is serving a customer it is only customary to acknowledge people when they walk in and say, well be with you in a moment. Simple human decency seriously lacking here!

This is the worst place to go to. I had the most horrible experience. My sole purpose was to go in for color contacts. The doctor tried his absolute hardest to keep me from getting the contacts even though I told him I was only wearing them a few times. He started giving me racist lecture about how only Latin people get color contacts due to them being dark skinned. He went further to tell me color contacts were worn by most of the rest of the population for Halloween. If I needed a fashion lesson, I would go read vogue about latest fashion trends. It was rather annoying and time consuming to listen to opposed to helpful. Lecturing me about color contacts and the health of your eyes would have been something worth listening to rather than the decline of color contacts in the fashion world. The office staff was very unhelpful, rude and discourteous. I paid for overnight shipping which they couldnt do after promised and every time I called they would put me on hold for five minutes even hanging up on me. Doctor is annoying, staff is rude and doesnt deliver as promised.

Ive been wearing glasses or contacts for the past 28 years, Ive been to tons of optometrist and doctors offices in that time, and none of them have had the consistency that I have found here. The entire staff has always been nice and helpful, and with the online/text confirmations it makes it easy to get an appointment.

I walk in for my 1st appt., several young women look up. No greeting. I dont know who works there, so I look around, see a sign-in sheet, sign in and take a seat. I notice two different young women take seat or reach behind counter. No acknowledgement until I get up to scratch off my name. Im from the old school. Dont ignore customers/patients. We have been taking our family to Todays Eyes for a couple of years and I will say that both Dr. Diskins are quite funny and they are good with our kids. That being said, we have had problems in the last year getting accurate info from the doctors and this year in particular with getting accurate information about referring our boys to a specialist. Last year we were told at the beginning of the exam for our oldest son that he needed bifocals for vision problems (visual acquisition weakness) but by the end of the exam we were told he didnt need them after all. This year, the first words out of the doctors mouth for the same sons exam were so how did the bifocals work and I had to remind the doctor of the discussion we had the previous year. This year he once again said our son needed bifocals for visual acquisition problems. And then, once he also checked our youngest sons eyes (who is worse off than his brother), he said both boys needed the referral to the optometry school visual therapy department. The message was left for the referral coordinator on that day (Friday). I called Tuesday to allow a business day for them to make the referring phone call but the coordinator had not even received the message and by the time she went and obtained the verbal instructions, the doctor had forgotten he told us both boys needed to be seen. The referral coordinator was then out again for personal business for a couple of days. I understand things happen and people need to be out, but can I at least ask that accurate messages actually be left for people?Today, I received a call from the optometry program they referred us to but Todays Eyes once again did ONLY ONE (our youngest) son and when the school called back to get the referral and patient file for the other son, they were told they would have to wait until the doctor returned on Friday for them to get his permission. We are now going on 2 weeks just to get a referral. When I called and told them that we needed MY sons files sent over as I didnt require their permission for the program to assess him, and I once again had to tell them what I had discussed with the doctor for BOTH boys, the person I spoke with was not pleased that I wasnt waiting for them to figure this out. I received an ok, we will send his chart over by end of business today and then she hung up. That is what patient charts are for, and you would not have had my son with perfect vision put into bifocals for no apparent reason. I, the parent, should not have to continually remind the office staff what was said about the care our boys need and what I am waiting for a referral to. Im so done...as nice as the doctors are and as good as they were with our kids for basic vision, if this is what I have to go through to get our boys the care they need, we will be looking for care elsewhere.

Lack of attention to detail. Ordered glasses, put in wrong prescription because they did not read the doctors notes. Waited weeks to get glasses, not even a sorry, as a result still waiting on glasses. Not sure I would recommend. Unbelievably, this is the second time they just rushed and made mistakes.

Avoid at all costs. Inexcusable service to a terminal cancer customer whod made an error with her appointment time. No help. no offer of assistance, no walk-n appointment offer, no apologies, no -may-we-reschedule, no NOTHING. Nothing! I usually take to Twitter for this sort of corporate hand-slapping but the attitude of these two self-absorbed women in an otherwise empty mall store is notable enough to share and say beware.

Wow! I was pretty blown away by this place. I went to get contacts fitted to pick up my normal box of contacts (Johnson & Johnson Oasys 1-2 weeklies). Normally, other eye doctors had just filled the prescription and sent me out. Instead, Dr. Ira Diskin introduced me to a new pair of contacts that had just been released, which fit my usage better than my current pair. (New Bausch & Lomb Monthlies) When I discovered my insurance plan only covered glasses and NOT contact lenses, one of the associates gave me a free pair of the new lenses so Id be carried over for two months. The venue is clean and the associates are friendly and approachable. Im definitely going to go back for new glasses, because they had such a variety of new shades! Id recommend this place to any person looking for a new eye doctor in a convenient location.

Wont be going back. The day of our appt there was like 10 workers at the front desk gossiping and sitting around. All the glasses are very pricey, but very cute. We got our glasses through insurance. I called back a couple months later to make sure that insurance really did pay what the office thought they would (I work at a medical office and this is not always the case) and to make sure we didnt owe any remaining balance. She acted like I was stupid for asking that and said they dont file medically...which makes no sense bc we used our BCBS eye insurance. Needless to say I dont recommend and we will not be making a follow up appt.

All the staff sit around and gossip including the doctors. The owners are rude stuck up people who bash customers once they leave. They dont even whisper about it considering the waiting area is close by. They lose orders constantly and will make up the excuse that frames are still being worked on. Spend your money elsewhere!
