Terrible customer service and support. Never answer their phones. Placed order for a lower receiver which included FFL information directly from their selection list, all information showed on order form. Inquired about order after a couple weeks and was told they need FFL information even though it clearly showed on the order, so I had FFL send it. Bottom line, after a month and a half, no lower and customer support will not respond to email inquiries or answer their phone. Owners may have good intentions to build this brand, but their customer support SUCKS!!!!

After months of research I decided to go with a build from Sons of Liberty. I did not want to blindly build the rifle on line so I drove to their shop. I was in contact with Matt M. A few days prior. Once I arrived the staff was more than willing to help me. Matt spent the next 2 hours with me hand selecting each part for my rifle and explaining pros or cons of each piece. In the end I was still hesitant to drop a few thousand on a rifle but I knew I was getting a quality product. Matt took the time to hand write each item I selected so I could go home and when I was ready purchase the rifle. Made the purchase today so I can’t wait for the delivery date.There were so many options that the entire staff wasn’t annoyed with all my questions. I even had a question about a quality of a suppressor I was looking into and they happily test fired one that was on one of their personal rifles.So far so good. As a business owner true and accurate reviews are so important to companies that I knew I had to share my own personal experience.

Im in Alaska so obviously Ive never been here but Ive placed multiple orders over the last year and have never had any issues .What actually surprised me is how fast they ship.These guys have been and will be my 1st stop when looking for parts .If you havent checked out there YouTube channel you should .

The rifle purchased is a solid piece of equipment. It took 7 months for them to finally ship it. Unfortunately, it was shipped with the wrong sights. I contacted them via email and they stated they would ship the correct parts. Weeks later it was not received so I contacted them again and it was completely ignored. I attempted 4 additional emails about a week apart each and never received a response so I gave up. They assemble a good product it their customer service has a lot to be desired.

Pretty sure they stole my money. Placed an ordered 2 weeks ago that is still waiting fulfillment. Tried messaging on the website, tried emailing. Nothing. Has a policy on website that cancelled orders receive a $50 fee, so that’s a big red flag. I just want my handguard.

Went online and still shows old address where I went, (wasted time)they should update CLOSED and MOVED.. Then searching again, I found the new address, I went by and gated up... I then called and it says leave message...Also is says on recording they are open Tuesday through Friday but on google says open only Wednesday and Thursday... dissatisfied and disappointed because a friend recommended..

SOLW is great to deal with. I am fortunate to live in San Antonio. They know their craft and dont mind sharing their knowledge. Their warranty alone is reason enough for me to keep coming back.

By far my favorite firearms company, and theyre Texan! I ordered a 14.5 carbine barrel, but I received the wrong one. As soon as I contacted them, they sent me an RMA, and shipped the correct one out the same day. Great quality, great owners, great customer service. Cannot recommend them enough.

I REALLY wanted to like this company. They are in Texas, huge 2A supporters and seem to put out a decent product (per online reviews). Unfortunately, orders I’ve placed directly through them for “In stock” items either never ship or are extremely delayed. I’ve placed orders direct three times. One of those was for an “in stock” lower that took close to a month to arrive at my local FFL (from San Antonio to Austin). I won’t even begin on the poor quality of the finish on the lower. Oh, and don’t write a negative review for anything on their site because they won’t post it...FYI.Twice, I’ve cancelled other orders after almost a month of emailing and asking for an order status and 3 plus days go by before I’ll get someone who tells me “order is ready, just waiting on shims, so you’ll have it next week” and someone else who replies “we are doing our best to keep up with orders” but no status. How about some communication to the customer to say an item is missing from an “In stock” order or just email or call to say “sorry for the delay”...anything. But instead, no communication or attempts and after almost a month on my most recent order, so I cancelled and I will not return to SOLGW for anything.If customer service is this way just to get an item, imagine how poorly things will go if you have an actual issue or a return, etc. Really wish things had gone differently, but a hard pass on poor customer service so I’ll stick with another brand.

I have emailed 3/4 different emails trying to find out info on my Suppressor I ordered 12/28/2018 !I waited a year before I went and started asking questions on it the first time and they told me they lost all my info through their website, they had no history on what I paid for in there store and used their kiosk in their store. So I had to show them my paper work that I paid for it and my bank statements to prove it to them and they finally submitted for a Can with a serial number going on 2 years later. I already contacted ATF on my Can and it’s been approved, going on 3 years now and they still haven’t called me or responded to my Emails ! I still haven’t gotten what I paid for. “”Very poor Customer Service and Communication Skills” y’all might know your Firearms but it starts with People Skills ! I feel bad for my buddy I took in to the store with me that day cuz he is in the same situation I’m in Except he dropped over $5k in Suppressors and still hasn’t gotten his either !

They take your money and don’t respond to email or phone call / voicemail, also I tried messaging them on their Instagram and they haven’t responded. I ordered accessories for my ar over week ago and haven’t had a single update since. I tried asking for a estimate multiple times and no answer. I hope they reply soon my brother was stationed in San Antonio and heard of them through him and was looking forward to some quality service.

I was sent the wrong barrel. I called, a person answered, not a robot so that is nice. They are shipping out the correct barrel tomorrow, and I have a return label to send the incorrect barrel back. This took approximately 4 minutes. While a mistake was made I am impressed with the speed and helpfullness of their customer service.

Does not return phone calls or emails. Have left numerous voicemails and emails. Trying to get refund resolved. We had moved and wanted to ensure our refund would be sent to our new address, it was not. I have emails letting them know to update address. The facebook page is posting and replying to others but I cannot get any response. (Emails have not been responded to in 24 hours as stated in the previous reviews on here. I have emails back in March and April with no response).UPDATE: Emailed [email protected] the following days July 20th, July 15th, July 12th. NO RESPONSEEmailed [email protected] May 1st, April 22nd. NO RESPONSEVoicemails were also left.I would like the name and contact info of the owner. This is ridiculous. No excuse what so ever. Will gladly forward all the emails.

I ordered a 11.5” SBR the last week in January, 2020. completely custom including Cerakote. It was delivered to my dealer at the beginning of June 2020. The build took a while but with the pandemic and the crazy increase in orders the guys still managed to get it done in a reasonable amount of time. I am still waiting for my tax stamp so I have not been able to fire the weapon yet but I have been able to examine it and the quality of the build is exceptional it far exceeded my expectations. The Cerakote crew knocked it out of the park, I chose the Kryptek Neptune. They did not make it to bold or flashy which is what I was wanting. All in all it an exceptional blaster.

These guys are always a great help, I often buy stuff online from them and I am never disappointed. Their customer service is top notch as well.

Flew in from Virginia Beach for an armorers class. I simply cannot explain how instrumental this course is. Rifle is awesome, was missing 2 parts I ordered but the company so far is trying to rectify the issue. Took 13 weeks to arrive instead of the 6 to 8 week lead time. A bit of confusion with the FFL; Sons wanted a different FFL then the one initially given, then proceeded to ship it to the first FFL anyway. I gave 4 stars because I love the rifle and the benefit of the doubt due to the COVID 19 slamming businesses and them moving locations.

Ive been trying to deal with Sons of Liberty gun works for weeks. you are unable to contact this company by phone, Ive sent them several emails, most going without any response. As a Police Officer trying to finish a build on a patrol rifle I expressed the need to obtain my parts quickly. after making repeated requests to credit the money they charged against my card, they responded by saying they would have the parts today or tomorrow this was over a week ago and still no word, again I made requests to credit my card, they just take your money, and either give you a story or dont respond.....this is the WORSE customer service Ive experienced as a police officer in my career. I would encourage other law enforcement personal to shop elsewhere....

I ordered a rifle from this business in March 2018. They told me it would be about 3 months. Here we are in mid-August and I am still without a rifle. Their customer service is nonexistent and they never send updates—they do make sure you get the latest marketing spam however. I’m seeking a full refund of the +$2800 I spent with them, or they can just fulfill the order.On September 14, I took delivery of the rifle. It appears to be well made and I’m pleased with it. Mike responded to my complaint and promised delivery on that date. He was true to his word. Thanks to Mike and the crew for building this rifle for me.

Never owned an AR rifle outside Uncle Sam’s M16A4. A friend of mine pointed me to SOLGW. Never heard of them before and did my research. They make an awesome product! I decided to build my own and use SOLGW parts, especially the bits that really count. Still waiting on my stripped lower, but I can understand with the holidays and all. If it is as good of quality as the rest of my SOLGW parts (I’m sure it will be), I’ll be a customer for life. Communication has been awesome! First found out about SOLGW a little over a year ago. I’m what most refer to as a gun “snob” because I’m very particular about who I will use/buy from. SOLGW has been my absolute go-to since I found out about them and researched them. They can be slow to ship once in awhile, but that’s because they aren’t like other companies that source from any random Joe that has parts available; they only source from the absolute best companies. That’s worth a little slower ship time (when it does happen) to me. They also back their products 100%. If even just one part of your rifle is a SOLGW product, you can send your entire rifle to them to be looked over if there’s any issues. You will not find that kind of service from any other company that I have ever heard of. If the great, late Will Larson says they’re good to go, then they’re good to go. And I’ve experienced that.

I’ve always had interest in getting a few items of mine Cerakoted, but I never really could find someone who I trusted would do a great job. I was referred to Mikey at SOLGW by a friend of mine who is also Mikey’s customer and the guy is an absolutely mind blowing Cerakote artist/applicator. The things he can do are unbelievable! When I dropped off the guns, he told me up front that he was super busy for the Christmas rush and he assured me that my products would be completed prior to our agreed day. Yesterday, he had both guns completed and knocked them out of the park. As a non artist, I walked in to his office with an idea of what I wanted and we discussed the options such as colors/logos etc. Prior to starting my project, he called me to bounce a few ideas off me that he had in his mind. Once described, the idea he had was light years better than what I had pictured When I dropped of the gun.The finished products he completed surpasses my very high expectations. If you want a fantastic Cerakote finish, Mikey is your guy! Yes, it’s a money making business, but his name and self pride is also on the line and you can tell that is what’s most important to him. Mikey was very trusting and when he didn’t think something world work or look good, he was honest and professional. Hands down, the best in the business! After Christmas, I’ll try to add my projects to this post.

This company sells the best AR-15s for the money spent. From the Mega/Zev receivers to the enhanced Microbest BCGs (they throw away the stock extractor spring and replace it with a Sprinco enhanced power spring rated for 50,000 compressions,) to the shot-peened cryo treated Sprinco buffer spring, to the QPQ gas tube. Every single part down to the gas key screws and mag release button has been selected because it was made to withstand hard use and abuse.SOLGW lists specs for everything they sell so you can research them and form your own conclusions. I encourage anyone skeptical (like me) to do so and see if they disagree with their choices. Even Chad Albrecht, a well-respected AR armorer known for being extremely picky and hard to please, recommends SOLGW frequently.SOLGW has a ridiculous warranty on all of their rifles and parts. If you break it, they will fix it for free. They even encourage users to intentionally abuse their products!SOLGWs mission is to build combat-grade rifles at prices the working man can afford, and they succeed unbeatably. Their closest competitior is BCM, whose rifles cost about $150 more, dont have the upgraded extractor spring, and are known for fairly poor accuracy (4 MOA vs SOLGWS 2 MOA).The bottom line is these guys make top-tier rifles you can trust your life to for less than $1k. They cost more than others because you get the best, and really, who wants to trust their life to a rifle made from the cheapest possible parts?P.S. If you are on a budget Id suggest buying from them on Black Friday as they always have amazing deals. During the rest of the year, Primary Arms often has good sales on SOLGW. Buying an upper and lower separately will save you about $100 in assembly and excise taxes.

The weapon is great and of high quality but the customer service does need work.Update: after response from owner to call them, I have called 5 different times on different times and various days and have received no answer.Giving a 1 star rating due to the customer service. Ordered a custom gun and was first told it would be 2-4 weeks. At week 4 I emailed and never got a response so I started calling everyday until someone finally answered. I was told it would be 4-6 weeks. Okay no problem. I am now on week 7 and was just told after sending multiple emails that they are waiting for the sight to come in. I can’t speak to the quality of the weapon because I haven’t received it but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a different company to purchase firearms from. The most irritating thing is being forced to pay in full and then be ignored and given the runaround. They continue to ignore my emails when asked if they will discount the order because of the inconvenience.

They guys at SoLGW are the guys you should be seeing in San Antonio if you need some AR work. I was recommended to go to them for some work on an upper and I took a shot (zing) with them. Randy was worked on my upper and did a great job. At SoLGW theyll test fire your build before sending it back to ensuring function. You can buy suppressors here if thats your thing, I believe they even have a silencer shop kiosk. They do custom rifles here, and you can also order various other items through them. Seems like a great company that I will continue to visit during my time in San Antonio.

So most of the 1 star reviews dont seem to take into account the larger situation when ordering. You are purchasing a made to order rifle and if certain parts are running short, not just in their incentory but across the country, then its going to take some time. They are a small shop but they do huge things. Charity, outfitting police officers with no BS Patrol rifles, not mention the thousands of rifles they build for commercial market. These guys take this seriously. If you want a real work rifle you can trust your life to, these guys do it, they make take some time, but the guns flat out run, no corner cutting, no subpar components, no compromise. 100% worth it. I have done a fair bit of business with them as I live nearby. Dont hesitate.

Recently built a 12.5 pistol. upper/lower, barrel, gas block and gas tube were all SOLGW parts. Mike told me to use a blue sprinco spring and an H2 buffer. it is one of the nicest AR15s I have ever fired. the gas is perfect and way less recoil than you would think it would have. everytime I have needed anything, these guys have always been super helpful. i even have Mikes (owner) number saved in my phone to get advice from on parts, etc. will continue to do business with them.

As an LEO for 28 I have always used an M4/AR15 as my duty rifle. These rifles have always been agency issued and have served me well. Recently i decided to get one built to my specs and SOLGW exceeded my expectations not only in quality and outstanding craftsmanship but in customer service. They took the time to listen and answer all my questions. I will definitely have more rifles built by SOLGW.

I will say when you hold this ar -15 its quality from end to end and top to bottom. I have the m4-76 and its just a beautiful rifle. I took this baby to the range and when I pulled it from the case everyone came around and loved it aswell. Ive put over 800 rounds down range and no ftf or fte or any other type on malfunctions. Yes they cost a few bucks more than some others on the market but when I have a weapon that I entrust my life to and that of my familys as well its only going to be the best. My next rifle will be a SOLGW 100%. The lifetime warranty they have also speaks loads to the trust and customer care they have. One last thing its nice to have a company that doesnt take our money and donate to people in politics that want to strip our 2A rights away. Buy SOLGW and buy quality!!!!

Would have given them negative stars if possible. Worst customer service I have experienced in years. Several month wait on a delivery of custom lowers that we were originally told would take 4 weeks. Once we received, frankly, the quality of the custom engraving was below par. It is shallow to the point where I am concerned a single thin layer of duracoat will completely distort if not erase the image we waited months for. The was the first, and will certainly be the last time I ever purchase anything from SOLGW.

Im all for the f*** you mentality that these guys are known for (ment in a good way) but a business should still give a repeat customers with cash in hand some more options and tad bit time to decide.

Picked up a lower receiver for an SBR build. Great experience and good price. If you plan on picking up your parts at the shop, make sure you ask them how to find it. I actually had to drive though an indoor lumber yard to get around to the North/East back of the building where they are located. Waze/Google will take you to a side street that has a chained gate, there is no way to get in there.

Unfortunately, this is what I have to rate SOLGW as of now. Ordered a complete upper, trigger, and sling part 2.5 months ago and still no shipment on anything. The wait, while somewhat long considering their posted 3-4 week lead time, is not the main reason for the rating. Rather, it’s the customer service or lack there of. Emails and voicemail have gonna unresponded to. For the price tag, one would expect at least an email following up to inquiries about the current lead time on parts purchased and paid for.UPDATE: After speaking with Mike personally last week, the communications issues were rectified and everything shipped in two-days time. Quality of the upper lived up to the reputation SOLGW has earned over the last few years. Sometimes things can fall through the cracks with a massive uptick in orders, and I think the way SOLGW handled my concerns and frustrations speaks volumes. In short, theyll be getting my business again the very near future.

This m4 rifle is the tip of the spear when I comes to durability, reliability, and accuracy not counting how flawless the fit and finish are and when visiting sons of liberty gun works I can see why the crew over there takes time to share their knowledge and just bs with you and if you want a bad ass cerakote job talk to Mikey he made my rifle look like its ready for battle thanks guys.

The times that I did call to get an update, there was always an excuse (items were blemished and had to be sent back, awaiting machining, supplier delays, anodizing, etc.), and no expected finish/ship date could be provided.As others have said, the engraving on the lowers is shallow, almost unreadable. Prior to placing this order, I have touted SOLGW as being a stellar company. But, this last transaction and the failure to update my order status, has soured their reputation with me.

This is my wifes account, Im Michael. I am part of a group that ordered several lowers. I have a receipt that you took my money and have a FFL to send it to. It has been several months and I had no commo from you. Today I get an email asking if I was dead. Seems you guys took a page from the VA, hoping the customer dies before service has to be rendered. A following email from SOLGW asks me to forward my complaint to your shipping dept. As you already have my info, why should I have to do anything?This rate and review will not allow me to give you less than one star.

A group of us had a custom engraved lower from SOLGW. After an initial estimate of four weeks, I just received mine yesterday. It was ordered in January/February. When I opened it up and looked at it, it’s a lower. No difference than a PSA lower. Except the engraving on this SOLGW lower is so shallow and faint it’s barely visible. If you wanted to duracoat it you would lose the engraving that we paid for to be custom completely. Between the lack of communication from them and the sub par engraving on the lower, I will never purchase or recommend anything from SOLGW.
