I normally buy all lumber related material from Roddis lumber down town San Antonio, so don’t ask me why I ended up at A&A and Dakota . Probably because I was close by and in the area. I explained to them I needed to see the material before I buy. I’ve got this project that I need to match the hickory hardwood so it’s critical I see the material before I buy. To my surprise I was not given the opportunity to pick out a board. They said “we will bring out a board and that the board you take. “If I don’t like it can I ask for another board?? I asked. By the sound of his tone I knew it would be like pulling teeth. I know we are in most difficult of times. But I’m the customer. I buy what I want not the other way around. So its only right I give recognition to Roddis lumber for all there great help. They brought out their hug stack on a forklift and had me go and pick out what I wanted 👍🏻 Thanks Roddis that’s customer service. Always friendly always willing to help out. Thank you.

Quick and easy, open to the public. With this whole covid thing going on you just park and call to let them know youre outside and wanna place an order. I bought 3 pieces of 3/4in 5x5 Baltic Birch, someone brought them to my truck with a forklift, helped me load it, signed for it, and that was it.

Im a professional cabinet maker and shop manager for the cabinet wizard and we have been customers for at least the last ten years. These people are the best suppliers of quality hardwood and plywood weve found they are friendly knowledgeable and happy to help even if its only to point you in the direction you need to go to get what youre looking for. I couldnt recommend them more highly than I do.

Pretty expensive for hobbyists like me, but they are kind people and happy to sell me one or two boards at a time. Much better selection than big box stores.
