Hands down, the worst checkout counter catastrophe in the Bay Area. The last THREE times that I have attempted to shop at this location have been unsuccessful. You enter the store, find the items you need, wait in line for 8-10 minutes, and then you leave frustrated and empty handed. This is a perfect example of why brick and mortar is a dying model.

Difficult to describe how much I describe coming here. If its busy, expect to wait 10 mins. If its slow, expect to wait 20. The only such retail chain I dislike more is Safeway.

Debby follows young girls around as if they are going to take something. I understand there is a risk but it makes my daughter and her friends very uncomfortable. I have complained several times but nothing ever seems to happen. When my daughter is looking in the beauty section Debby always asks every 2 seconds do you need help with this and I understand she is the beauty sales associate but it makes my daughter just very uncomfortable. A bit annoyed.

Ms. Debbie seems to always be following my 12 year old daughter and her friends around the store. I find this extremely disrespectful as she is assuming they will steal even though they always pay for everything. She was not following COVID social distancing guidelines and stood right next to my daughter and her friends. She then watched them at the end of the isle for a good 3 minutes while they picked out hair dye. They should be able to shop without being constantly watched by a 40 year old woman. GROW UP. On their way out they took some of the free samples on the shelf each girl was very respectful and only took one of each sample but Debbie very rudely said that they need to leave more samples for other people and not just think about themselves.

Horrible experience at the pharmacy for flu shots. We were sent here by another CVS store pharmacy as the computer system was down at the other store and our scheduled flu shots could not be given. However, staff at this pharmacy refused to give us flu shots because they claimed the pharmacy at the other store might have billed our insurance. This speculation was not fact based and it was a horrible way treating their customers. We spent nearly 2 hours going back and forth between 2 CVS pharmacies with scheduled appointments but did not get our flu shots. This is not acceptable

Why are dogs, pet dogs not seeing eye dogs, allowed in the pharmacy area? I had to pick up medicine for an allergy triggered by dogs, and experienced difficulty breathing while waiting for my prescription. This isnt a restaurant or a park - I need to get medicine, and would like to do so in an area which does not make me sick. Please reconsider this policy or direct me to a pet dog free location. Thank you.

NO STAR! i ONLY MARK ONE START TO BE ABLE TO POST THIS REVIEW, Ive been calling the pharmacy and it is taking 20+ minutes to have a request. I am calling from a Clinic to send a fax prescription from a Dr. and this is really to long to be waiting for them to answer and help me w my pt who happens to be a customer to them. NOT OKAY!

I was in the store today had the most horrible and discriminating experience. The Store Manager -John was not helpful because he was being occupied for about 20 min. Ringing up 3 transactions. He made a comment that I cannot have more than 2 transactions and I am no longer allowed to shop there, and that I can just go somewhere else to shop. Very rude he said I dont care you can get to another store but your not allowed to come back for the day. All this because I use the coupons that is in the exrracare card that their broken computer was not taking. Another cashier already mentioned to him that there is something wrong with the system. He would not help me figure it out and gave me such a very bad service. To the company CVS please make sure you trained your managers to give good customer service to the paying customers. Maybe his title got to his head and feels he can just band people when he feels like it. What kind of a store drive customers away???

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. They have no system...literally none. They stick everything in a box and it gets all mixed up. The employees don’t communicate to each other. One woman looks completely high on oxy .....it’s actually astounding how her coworkers don’t notice. Please don’t go here...it’s not worth it...

This CVS is almost always closed before 10pm. Don’t believe the hours listed on THEIR website because it seems that this place closes any time it wants. Not to mention the “not my problem” attitude from half the staff.

This CVS store is by far the BEST managed & the BEST run store that I have found in ALL of the SF Bay Area! The front of the store manager, who unfortunately was not here today, has always been full of suggestions in the cosmetics department and in the beauty aisles. she has never steered me wrong when selecting a color that I needed when I couldnt see my own skin tone from the lights in the store and shes been nothing but helpful and friendly and greets everybody. Im sorry I missed her today.It was a bittersweet day, as I came in today to pick up the LAST PRESCRIPTION that I would get from this store, since relocating back to San Jose.☹️ Lord knows that I have had quite a few prescriptions billed over this past year and I was so glad to have a team like this one care for my prescription needs.I was so blessed to see that ALL my girls were working the same shift & at the pharmacy counter in the back working together (like a well-oiled machine). I immediately let them know of the good news that I found a room for rent for a one year lease and not have to be traveling so much as theyve been used to hearing me talk about. They were all very happy for me.🤗You see, Id had to have quite a few different medications over the last year and the team at the pharmacy have never been anything short of SPECTACULAR! friendly, warm, upbeat, helpful, caring and like friends/daughters to me! I only started coming here to this pharmacy in March of 2018 when I moved up this way, so its been about 10 months that weve gotten to know each other. I really am sad to go. This dynamic team knew my name, always knew what had been the latest with me, and would ask me how things were going with whatever was going on in my life, etc.! (Even today, a young lady I hadnt seen in awhile asked me if I was still working for that lady? - I knew who she was talking about, but I wasnt, but it was nice that she even could remember that.)I was so glad that I got to give them each and individual hug and thank them so much for being such a rock star team! The pharmacist, she even came out and gave me a hug and told me to have a good here and that she was happy for me.This team really needs to be commemorated and rewarded for their hard effort and customer service! in this day and age it is very very difficult to find good customer service and ask somebody that has been in this industry for many many years, I see a team that as given me hope once again for knowing what good customer service is truly truly all about!KUDOS TO YOU CVS SAN CARLOS!!

CVS is a solid place. Aside from its peak days, when it gets crazy busy, everything that I need is always in stock.Staff is super friendly and attentive. Always easy to talk too.

I recommend San Carlos CVS because Debby who is working in the beauty department, has always some great advices about the products I am looking for. I trust her. I also love when CVS send me 25 or 30 % off. I often have something to buy at the pharmacy.

Retail and pharmacy service can vary depending on the time of year and the staff working on a particular day or shift. I have found, however, the service at this CVS to be consistently good -- guiding me on generics vs. branded options, having the right products in stock, etc. They have a small seated waiting area for the elderly and disabled so that they dont have to stand in the pharmacy pick up queue.The only cons are that it doesnt have a drive-thru (or at least none that Ive ever seen) and that non-pharma products at any CVS have higher-than-average prices.

This has to be the worst CVS Pharmacy Ive ever been to. They are so slow! If youre sick and need your meds in 20 minutes, just go in an hour, you might get lucky.

Walked through the parking lot stepped over garbage in the corner. Sewage overflowing in the parking lot. The smell was horrible. Walked inside and the smell wasnt much better. This is in San Carlos! One of the nicest places in the Bay Area. CVS should be ashamed.

Tried to have a prescription transferred from another state. Was told it could take up to 48 hours and they will call me when its ready. 60 hours later, no word from them. Stopped in thinking it may be done and they forgot to call me. It was not done nor had they contacted the transferring pharmacy. They said they may be able to get it yet that day. Said no thanks and went to Walgreens across the street, had it filled in 2 hours. Two days later CVS calls me and said they called my pharmacy and there was no refill on my script. Hello....I told them 2 days ago to forget it, the refill was done at Walgreens because they sat on it for 60 hours. They have lost my business.
