Im so grateful to have found Beach Cities Rock Club. My kids all take music lessons there and have grown so much from the one-on-one instruction they receive from their experienced, talented, caring and patient music teachers. (Specifically, my kids have worked with Mr. Biff, Miss Alexandra, Mr. Cody, and Mr. Ryan, but I dont think you can go wrong with any teacher there.) While my oldest is focused on learning, recording and performing new songs, my two youngest stay focused on getting a solid foundation in music theory fundamentals while they each learn their instrument of choice: guitar, piano, and drums. In addition to the lessons, my kids have also taken advantage of recording sessions, summer band camp (where they got to make a music video that you can find on BCRCs YouTube Channel), Friday night open jam sessions, and open mic performances. To learn more about the school, I recommend giving Sarah or Biff a call and asking when would be a good time to stop by.

I dont think there is a cooler music school out there. Teachers are great and you can record music in their studio and walk away with an mp3 or even your own music video!

Amazing learning environment! Biff and Ryan are great teaches and have knowledge on a wide variety of topics! They have also adapted to the current climate and offer lessons online. Great way to spend the time stuck at home. --- 10/10 lessons

My two sons have been taking piano lessons here for the last 4 years and they both love it, I didn’t think they would stick with it but they’re having so much fun learning to play that feels like time flies ! Biff and Sarah are awesome! If you have kids, you MUST check this place out.

Beach Cities Rock Club is an essential part of the south orange county music culture. offering not only quality music instruction but more importantly imparting the So Cal youth with a safe a constructive environment to be creative and have fun. I highly recommend the Rock Club for any parents with kids that are looking to learn about music culture and theory. Biff Cooper, the owner, has a passion for the youth and it shows in spades. He spends quality time with each kid, giving them specific attention. If you wanna rock, go with the Rock Club!

I have taught here for over a year. I have enjoyed seeing my students grow in their musicianship as well as in stature. It has been a wonderful and fun time learning from my students as much as I have taught. Biff is a great friend and one of the nicest and most passionate people you will come across, I wholeheartedly believe that you couldnt give your children or yourself a better experience in the care of his, and the Rock Clubs hands.

Beach Cities Rock Club is a great addition to our community. I highly recommend their lessons to anyone who is interested in picking up an instrument. They offer quality instruction with an emphasis on fun. For parents looking for music lessons for their children, I cant imagine a better environment. The ability to strengthen musical talent in a studio setting will make anyone feel like a rockstar!

Very, very passionate owner (who also is the guitar teacher!) who truly cares about teaching kids and not only having them learn the music they are interested in but also making sure they learn the basics and proper techniques of playing and some music theory as well. Which I think is a VERY good balance to have and very important.

Biff is a really patient teacher and a creative dude. He gets people excited about making music. This place is comfortable and welcoming, no matter your skill level. Oh, and there is a record store out front. So its kind of a big deal.

Great place to buy vinyl and also offers music lessons in the back from experienced teachers! The staff is really cool and you can find a hidden gem almost every time you go in there looking for records!

My sister and I have been taking lessons from Biff for about 6 months. He is an awesome teacher who creates a comfortable environment. We have already learned more than I could of imagined, thanks to his patience and enthusiasm.
