Today my kids did their free trial, guitar, piano and drums! Needless to day they loved it, loved the instructors and came out with big smiles. Their ages are 7, 8 and 10. We will be signing up for lessons and excited to see them pick up a new skill.

I arrived in San Clemente to play a private event in the hills. When my drummer arrived, he unloaded and began setting up when he realized he forgot his stick bag at a previous event. I got on the phone to look for local music stores to buy some sticks for him as he set up. Nobody was willing or able to help us. I called Roos Studios as a Hail Mary, and someone answered. We absolutely love Roos Music School! What an incredible find, right here in San Clemente. Our 4-year-old daughter started with piano lessons, and her instructor, Grace, has been just wonderful, so sweet and patient. And then more recently, our daughter started voice lessons each week as well (in addition to piano), with Marisa, yet another fabulous, super-fun instructor there.Liz Roos has been such a pleasure to work with. She is exceptionally attentive to details, matching students with the best instructor, helping kids (especially little ones) feel comfortable, and really pays attention to individual interests, ability/talent, and goals. You can tell she really cares. After our daughter walked past a student on a drum kit with wide-eyed excitement, Liz helped set up her first drum lesson, which she loved every second of.Lastly, the facility itself is impressive and very clean. Anyone apprehensive due to COVID should rest assured that they are taking all the necessary steps and best precautions to ensure things are sanitized and clean. They have cameras and screens in every room with quality equipment and instruments.Go check it out and let your joy for making music come to life. I see plenty of adult students, in addition to children, so I’m considering setting up some guitar/ukulele lessons for myself. They are very accommodating, encouraging and so cool about everything.

My 7YO (ukulele) and 5YO (electric guitar) have been taking lessons for almost 7 months and have greatly enjoyed their experience at Roos Music. They look forward to lesson each week and really like their instructors. Bodie (uke) and Aaron (electric guitar) are so talented and patient and make learning fun, which is especially important for young learners. And Liz Roos has been so wonderful to work with. Its not everyday you find a studio that has both good instructors and managment that embodies integrity, accountability and a willingness to meet the needs of its students/families.

My kids have learned a lot about music, and they have loved their teachers! Liz has gone out of her way to accommodate our busy schedules when scheduling makeup lessons.

Best studio in the nearby areas. My 7 about to be 8 year old takes flute lessons here and she is learning a lot. I was nervous about her growing disinterested after a while. But, she is really enjoying herself. My 4 year old also took drum lessons here. Great teachers, very versatile. And flexible.

The studio is set up beautifully with lots of private rooms and plenty of space for parents to relax and watch their kiddos on monitors. He has built confidence in my daughter, with her performing three songs on stage (big deal for us) only 2 months of taking lessons, with one song that she sang to. We love Roos Music! I have 2 sons that play here. Josh teaches my younger son who started with the ukulele and is currently learning the electric guitar. Josh is kind, patient, encouraging and an excellent teacher! Joey teaches my older son the bass and he loves it. Joey is really, nice, funny and engaging. The kids get to pick their songs which really keeps them interested and motivated. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to learn!

Roos is a wonderful music studio. We have two of our children currently enrolled in ukulele lessons. Their teacher, Mr. Aaron, is amazing! We came to Roos music hoping to reignite our kids love for music and the flame is burning more than ever! The methods and culture of Roos Music are phenomenal. This review is straight from my 11 year old son ... I like Joey a lot! Hes funny and nice. He lets me do songs I like to listen to, and he teaches me in a way that makes it easy. As a mom, I love the scheduling flexibility, but more importantly, I love how comfortable my son is interacting with his instructor. Hes a shy boy, but Joey totally puts him at ease and makes it fun and engaging while at the same time developing my sons guitar playing skills.

I cant say enough about Roos Music. My son started lessons with them over 4 years ago and loves it. Liz and Josh are both so good at what they do. They have a passion for music as well as a passion for teaching and it shows. I know a big part of my sons love for music has come from working with Liz on piano. My 2 children have been attending Roos Music for about a year and half now. Theyve been doing weekly, 30-minute piano lessons and its AMAZING to see the progress! Liz, the owner is super easy to reach via text or phone and she is always very responsive! This is the first and only piano studio that my kids ever attended, so I dont have any to compare to, BUT, I do know that my kids enjoy their teacher very much and they LOVE the fact that they are allowed to choose a song to learn (they usually pick a popular song on the radio), in addition to the song that their teacher chooses (usually more traditional or classical). Roos Music does not participate in certificate of merit (CM), which is something that I was considering when I was initially choosing a piano studio/teacher. In the end, I decided that its more important for my kids to love learning the piano and their teacher, rather than stress out over the CM tests and levels. Last, but not least, their studio is beautiful and comfortable! Bonus - you can watch your kids do their lessons on the big screen TV in the lobby, since each music room has a camera in them! Id highly recommend Roos Music!

Coming from a musical theater background, I knew I wanted to give my daughter the opportunity to develop a musical talent she could enjoy for a lifetime. She chose voice and ukulele and Roos is the only place that lets her do both simultaneously. This music studio is highly recommended! Ive loved working with Liz. I started off as a complete beginner and in a few weeks, already able to read music thanks to her instruction. They make learning and playing much more fun!

My two boys (piano and ukulele) have been going to Roos Music for 2 years and think they are amazing. Josh and Liz are kind, supportive and personalize the lessons to the student to help ensure success. Id recommend them to anyone wanting to learn how to play an instrument! :)

Liz and Josh are amazing music teachers that try to keep kids interested and has a relaxed atmosphere. Aaron is a great guitar teacher. He is engaged,smiling and seems to love to teach. We are very fortunate to have found such a great teacher.

I have nothing but good things to say about Liz and her studio! I stopped playing the piano two years ago, but this year, I began taking piano lessons with Liz for the first time, and I immediately knew she would help me restore my self-confidence as a pianist. She has always been very encouraging when I do well and patient when I feel like I’m struggling. She gives me the opportunity to challenge myself without making piano a chore, because we work together to pick songs that I want to play that also help me develop my weaknesses. However, knowing that I am a junior in high school, Liz has always been super understanding when I don’t get the chance to practice or when I have to move my lessons, which keeps piano practice from becoming a stressor in my busy life and makes it much more enjoyable. Liz is also super nice, and I always feel at home in her studio because I know she’s my friend! Overall, playing with Liz has not only helped my piano playing improve, but has made piano playing a fun and relaxing hobby, and I always look forward to my next lesson!

Thanks to Josh @ Roos Music and teachers for amazing voice lessons and for recording my own custom wedding song. My husband and I loved it so much that we used it for my walk down the aisle and again formour reception! It sounded so professional. I would highly recommend Roos Music for anyone who wants to record and produce their own soundtrack.

My daughter has Mrs. Liz as her first piano teacher. She is wonderful! She is very patient and her passion for piano is contagious. The studio is beautiful and I loving being able to watch my daughter play without being in the room to distract her.

My kids love doing music here! The teachers are great and really meet the kids individual needs - from wanting to play just for fun to learning new techniques and theory. Liz has worked hard to get our schedules to match so all three lessons are at the same time.
