Best window replacement AND repair shop in town. Yes, they can repair your windshield too if damage is small enough and repairable. This can potentially save you a deductible payment. Ask for April or Gustavo. Theyre quick and always vacuum interior & clean ALL your vehicles windows when finished

I was getting some damage looked at after my windshield replacement, but he made up his mind from 10 feet away. He said absurd things like Ford is the most unreliable car on earth, said I could be lying about other secret windshield replacements, said a metal tool couldnt have been used because my clear coat was unbroken, that if they damaged my paint the whole A pillar would be rusted, and damage cant take 1.25 years to show. In that case whats the point of a warranty? He kept saying when they do their job correctly they dont damage cars. Of course man. But what if someone made a mistake? Maybe the paint was damaged with a tool or the glass bumped the paint when it was removed? I could live with an act of god causing my paint to peel, but I cant accept when people disrespect my intelligence and time.

Initial technician was the only positive experience with Safelite. He arrived on time and removed the windshield. They needed an additional part for the repair and after over a week of waiting (and hours spent on hold) the part never materialized.I contacted another company(AGS) and they had everything ordered and service completed within one day.Seriously, dont waste your time with Safelite.

With good intentions, I had them repair a small chip lees than the size of a dime. The very next day, it turned into a giant crack. Now they want $500+ to replace the entire windshield! What a scam.

Never called me from the insurance referral. Its been two weeks. Cannot reach a human to discuss status on establishing an appointment; the centralized, automated system tells you to go to their website and rudely hangs up on you.Edit responding to reply: So they confirm that they wont answer the phone! It wasnt faster scheduling and service, it was completely inadequate, and I had no recourse but to call my insurance company multiple times. This is the worst of a faceless, inhuman corporation. Go with a local, independent glass installer. Once I gave up on Safelite, I had my windshield done within a day, he came to me, and did a great job.

The manufacturers glue around my windshield was cracking and needed replacing. There was also a starburst crack so we replaced the entire windshield. Booked an appointment and verified insurance coverage online. Easy check-in and check-out. They did a great job! Even used a Jeep windshield so the little black Jeep 🚙 was still driving on the edge. I was Very pleased with that!

Bait and switch, installed Chinese windshield instead of OEM and caused damage to the paint in several areas. Messwd up the car programming resulting in almost every safety feature being disabled. Including automatic braking, automatic steering and lots of basic functions.

Im not sure how todays repair went. Took a land rover in for chip/small, small crack. Within minutes the repair was completed however, the crack was still visible and larger than what I took in today?! This is not what I had expected. The TV ad made it seem as if the chip/cracks are not visible after repairs. They should change their ad as reality and their ads dont match.Was told that the repair process would prevent any further cracking to the windshield. Verified once again that the crack would not get any larger and was re affirmed it would not. We shall see.

They inadvertantly installed the wrong windshield on my daughters car. To their credit they were HIGHLY apologetic (a good thing, but appropriate the circumstances) and told us to bring the car back in a week so can install the correct windshield. Okay, we will do that, but no effort was made in any material sense to compensate the customer for the material inconvenience involved, who must now spend the extra time necessary for them to correct THEIR mistake. Hey, mistakes happen. And we certainly dont expect the world. But a nominal recognition of the value of the customers time would have been appreciated

I couldnt speak to a technician to get a quote on weather stripping for my windshield. Not at all the experience promised in their commercials. Sad that Geico, my insurance company, uses these guys. Had to go somewhere else to get it fixed and paid for it out of my pocket. Very disappointing. I dont recommend them

The place was fast and efficient. I had a quarter size crack from a rock that was thrown by a car on the highway. They quickly filled it to almost invisible. Probably took about 45 min with checking in, 15 min for the repair.

They’re dishonest. This is the vendor selected by my insurance company. Initially, they told me I owed a deductible even though it was their previous repair job that was cracking. After I paid, I got a letter from them stating that I did not owe the deductible. It was difficult to get contact information about their reimbursement department, but I finally got it. After contacting this department, they acknowledged that I didn’t need to pay the deductible and that a check was in the mail to me. It never came, and they are now saying they won’t reimburse me.When I spoke with my insurance company about this situation, they told me they’d had at least one other similar complaint. They were also initially given a contact for a reimbursement department that was non - existent. However, I spoke with the insurance company today, and they’re still using this vendor. I’m reconsidering insurance companies. I won’t use Safelite again.

Fast, Efficient and Professional. No one does Auto Glass better than Safelite in San Diego. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and Safelite was ready to go. They removed my windshield, installed the new one and calibrated the camera. All in less than 90 minutes. They had all of the paperwork from my insurance and processed my deductible in record time. I am thrilled with Safelite and their strong performance.

I made an appointment a week prior. The day of my appointment. Clyde the rep from Safelite advise he would be at my home to install a windshield from 1-5 pm that same morning. I called at 4:30pm asked are you still coming? His answer was I will be there in 2 hrs is that okay? Excuse me I had put my day on hold since 1pm. I have been waiting for hours Why would I wait an extra 2 hours? Thats if he even was going to show up. He never showed of course. I went to Mark auto glass which appreciated my business and money much better customer service was provided. Safelite is very unprofessional. Never again do I want anything to do with this company. By the way no one answers their El Cajon Ca physical location calls. If you want to save yourself from disappointment and want good customer service go elsewhere. They never even bother to apologize or reschedule. Big NO in my book! After having their customers just wait and not show up.

My car got broken into insurance set up with safelite. I took my car early in the morning got it back about an hour later (you need to show up early if your appointment is the all day option it gets busy and they have limited parking). They cleaned out the rest of the glass I couldnt and cleaned out the door too.

Price extremely competitive. Fast install! People were super nice! And i got free coffee. Double plus!

Corporate isnt much to brag about, but this location is quality people and work.Update: theyre only good the first time; when you discover that your car now tries to kill you when using lane keep assist (which took them two hours to calibrate), they dont answer the phone, and when you finally get ahold of corporate, they tell you theyll call you within two days to schedule an appointment to get the cameras on your car recalibrated. But they dont.Hopefully I dont die because of corporate America not caring about issues like this.

I was however bummed the star around my chip did not go away like i thought it would, Ive had them repaired before and you could barely tell ir was ever there. This one looks the same as it did...not sure if its the type of chip or not, but im not a glass expert😆. Very satisfied with all, however.

Technician was here already two times and left because of not being prepared and motivated at all. Cannot drive my car because Safelite isnt capable of replacing windshield, after they partially de installed the old one. New windshield is payed since more than a week, but nobody is showing up anymore. Nobody is available on the phone. I can under no circumstances recommend this company.Changed from 1 to 4 Stars after the complaint management finally was excellent.

This isnt a review for this location specifically but my experience with Safelite has been a drawn out nightmare. Stay away! First problem - cheap off-brand glass. Second problem - completely incompetent untrained technicians. I replaced my windshield 2 years ago. At first it seemed fine but the sensors in my windshield were damaged during the install. They proceeded to schedule followup appointments and none of them could do anything. I eventually got it fixed at the dealer repair shop. I fought back and forward with Safelite to get the repair reimbursed under warranty. Eventually they cut me a check. Great! But the nightmare continues. The sensors fail again. The dealer later tells me that basically the wiring is totally shot and new parts are required. I contact Safelite again... they send a technician who first was in the wrong part of the state, so we rescheduled, then I dont hear from the technician and he cancels my appointment - I hear from the shop my car is at that they voided my warranty (due to a chip I have on my windshield... nothing to do with the sensors). Currently on hold with Safelite now as the saga continues. Do yourself a favor and dont bother with them.

Eric did a great job replacing my windshield! He called to let me know when he would be at my home and was on time and super professional. Cleaned up all the debris in my car after the replacement which I really appreciated. The last time I had a windshield replaced by another company they left glass all over my dash... I would highly recommend Safelite and Eric if you are looking for glass repair or replacement. I definitely will not use anyone else ever again!

Never comunicate any updates. They said one time and on arrival the unit was not ready. Waste of time and insecure to drive right after the unit is replaced

I would give 0 stars if I could. I scheduled a window replacement and gave complete details of my vehicle and the window to be replaced. I had to wait 5 days for the replacement. The morning of the appointment I get call informing me that they cant do the replacement. They lost any future business from me.

Employees are rude. Unaccomidating and just plain unprofessional. After making me wait for 5 hours last week for what was supposed to be an appt. They agreed to do my driver side window for free. Said it would be 2 days..now a week later i get an email saying to come in at 3pm on the 23rd. I get here and they have no idea what im talking about and then gave the nerve to sat they dont like how im talking to them. I told them im living in my car. Ridiculous!! Go somewhere else

I am trying to cancel tomorrows appointment. What is up with the VERY LONG wait time on the phone? I was on hold for 48 minutes and thought something must be wrong with the number I dialed. I called a different phone number and have been on hold now for about 25 minutes. Still on hold with the same commercial repeating over and over, no mention of how long I will be on hold. Not even you are # 86 on hold Your business is important to us. I just want to r/s so instead of canceling I just started over on line and have a second appt.

My windshield looks worse than when they started! Shouldve known...he began the whole process with a warning that they cant make a nick or crack disappear - despite advertisements to the contrary. And to replace my windshield completely, would have to take it in rather than do it onsite - also contrary to their advertising. So to summarize: they lie like dogs on their ads. Cant really fix anything and may possibly make things worse all while charging you upward of $150 for the pleasure.

First windshield was defective. Second one the molding on sides of windshield fell off.

Was sure I had a crack in the windshield of a relatively new used car after taking a rock on the freeway. Was informed it was a pre-existing chip that had already been repaired. Easy appointment to make. No extra pressure or effort to find/fix additional damage. Out in 5 minutes with no charge. I appreciated the honest business experience.

Pretty good job, but while driving away, the hands free mic fell and was swinging in front of me. Installer did not pay enough attention to what he was doing, should have checked it. Called them back, but was told to just return. I had already fixed it myself, so it not worth the time to go back. Stained my hands with all that black sealant that they used because they had gotten it all over the mic, but its ok now. I consider this a safety issue.

I have had to replace glass on my car 3 times now and each time was with Safelite. I will continue to utilize their services as they are great communicators and are incredibly patient. You receive multiple conformations and a call when the technician is on their way. My most recent tech was very patient and professional as we located a safe place for him to replace my windshield since the lower parking lot at my work was closed. Not that I enjoy having to replace my windshield and other windows but at least they make it as easy and convenient as possible.

Terrible service. I was told over the phone it would take 1 hour. When I got there they told me 2 hours. The extra hour was for cleaning the car. I thought about just cleaning it myself to save the hour as I was on mt lunch break, but decided to let them do it. After 2 hours i got my car back still full of broken class. I still ended up having to clean it myself. Would have been nice to save that hour lost. Later that night while driving I noticed they didnt replace the brake light cover correctly so when i stop at night the brake light shines on the window blocking all view through my mirror. Do yourself a favor, call someone local. Safelite is definitely not worth the money!

Fantastic customer service!Every employee went above and beyond to help and answer questions and were so nice to my 2 puppies. My car was fixed good as new and it was a quick process, too. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I never write a bad review but I have to write this one.I needed a front windshield replacement in a hurry. Mine was close to shattering from hitting a large turkey vulture. I called the insurance company and filed a claim. I went to the Safelite website and found the Dunbrook store had two appointments for that afternoon. I booked an appointment online and took the car and the Insurance claim with all the information on it to Safelite 7880 Dunbrook Road at 11:00 AM. The gentleman on the desk said my car would be ready by 5:00 PM. At 3:00 PM I received a text message to say my car has been checked in the following day. I immediately called them only to be told that they could not get hold of AAA Insurance until 3:00 PM. They had the insurance claim number, the claim adjusters name and number. There is no excuse. I had business appointments scheduled the next day but had to cancel. At 1:30 PM the next day I still had not heard anything from them so got my wife to drive me to Dunbrook. The car wash finished, sitting in the sun but nobody bothered to call and tell me. This site needs better management and to learn a little about customer service. We all make mistakes or let things slip through the cracks at times but common courtesy and goodwill goes a long way to make up for any problems. Not one apology!!!I cannot recommend this site. Hopefully someone gets to read this and does something about it.Darryl Bestall

They had to order the part to fix it window regulator, but we are on vacation, so we decided to wait. They were able to put our window up and fix it in place so that we could drive home with a window and they didnt even charge us. Thanks Safelite!

They did the replacement in our garage. The tech left fingerprints and glue on our rear view mirror and glass shards on the seat. Would have been 5 stars.

My window was exceptionally hard to get out. After working at it patiently for over an hour your rep showed me that it had been replaced once before and over glued. He was pleasant and professional. I had my windshield replaced a few days ago. The technician arrived on time did a great job and was friendly and polite. All and all the whole job took about an hour and my windshield looks great! I couldnt be happier.

Had a skilled guy fix my rock chip! Saved me a bundle from replacing the whole thing. Do not go with a cheap service...these guys are pros.

Easy to get quote or schedule an appointment online; but the quality of the service is poor and I was left disappointed. They were fixing a small speck-like crack in my windshield that was barely visible but right in the from of the driver. I did not expect results to be perfect; they didnt guarantied it; just a slight improvement. But it was the same crack and a white stain on the top of it. Also their quote for complete windshield replacement was far more than the competition.

$209 for a side window replacement??? I think not...browse around before you come here. I found a guy to do it for $130. You would think since I pay $240 a month for Esurance they would at least recommend me a place with a much lower price... but nope.

What a joke of a shop and company. I came in for a small rock chip (NO CRACKS!) on my windshield. In the process of repairing the chip, the technician Rogelio put four small cracks around the chip, apparently from the clamp. He swore up and down that they would not spread out. And if for any reason they did, to just come back.Well they did spread. They spiderwebbed across my entire windshield and after speaking to corporate customer service and then the shop they decided to NOT stand by their work and that I would have to pay for a replacement.The cracks would have never happened if it had not been for their work, so I really dont feel like I should pay to have my entire windshield replaced. Dont let them sucker you in with their lifetime warranty, they wouldnt even take responsibility for their shoddy work less than a year later.Take your business somewhere else who will stand by their work and correct an issue THEY created.

Safelite sent a most knowledgeable person who knew exactly what was needed in a timely manner last week; moreover, it was nice to see such an experienced and personable employee. I was also impressed with the quickness of the job done, with quality service.

I was impressed with this business. Farmers Insurance uses them andI see why. The employees were friendly, professional, andaccommodating. Farmers estimated about 60-90 minutes tocomplete the job, and they completed it in about 30 minutes!Nice, clean waiting area.

I called over 7auto glass! All said $400&over. But this place it was way cheaper and the work they did it look same as the new one I had. If you looking to pay less this is the best place.

I must admit, you dont really think there is much to consider when you are planning on having your window repaired. You expect to have the crack repaired and that will be it. With Daniel, this was completely different, I was greeted by a friendly and courteous representative of Safelite. He clearly cared about my concerns and also about my car. He offered me options that were previously unknown to me to help me out with the cost of the service.Also, Daniel while striking up a conversation and also while the sealing process was going on, pulled out a vacuum and cleaned all of my carpets in my car. He also cleaned all of my cars windows inside and out, not just the one he was working on, but every single one of them. This was clearly something that he cared about, and not that I would wish to get another crack or need my windows replaced, but if I do, Id prefer if Daniel was the one handling the services moving forward.This experience was by far my most enjoyable service by a mobile company and clearly Daniel is a wonderful example of the kind of experience you will receive with Safelite.

Terrible customer service! They came out to replace a windshield on my car, which they did, but while performing the work they lost a bolt in my windshield wiper, rendering it unusable. I was told that they would put in a work order and come out and fix the wiper. This was more than TWO MONTHS ago!! In the meantime, it has rained several times and I had to drive around with only one wiper. This is extremely dangerous and completely unacceptable. What mechanic would perform work on your car, break some part of it in the process, and then not take responsibility? Yeah, Safelite would. Ive called several times, was promised that the work order was in and that someone would call me back. Nope. never heard back. Guess once they get your money they forget about you. Terrible customer service. Does not take accountability for their mistakes. Avoid.

I went to their location because I wanted to make sure they had everything to do the job right. Only took an hour. Dont waste your time finding a cheaper place cause the windshield wont fit right. Youll hear the wind and itll leak on you.

Easy peasy. A rock make a star ding in my windshield. My husband made an appointment for Safelite to come to my work. The tech called when he was on his way and arrived within the window given. In 15 minutes or so, he was on his way, but not before explaining what to expect and the warranty. The price was as quoted. An all-around good experience.

Very poor service . The girl that came out today was rude and unprofessional. I saw her pull up and asked if I could go upstairs for a minute and be right back. She yelled from her truck and said I need to talk to you first .I said ok. She walked up to my vehicle without any kind greetings and said this cant be repaired. Its too big .In a very rude way .I asked if she could take a closer look she said no you have to get the windshield changed. Then tried to give me an estimate .I said no thanks . Id take my business somewhere else with this poor level of service.
