Decided to make some homemade sushi and stopped in for some sashimi grade salmon and tuna. This place has very high end meats and fish. Expensive, but so good! Since no one can dine out right now, its a great place to pick up food for a fancy home cooked meal! They have a small selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, large selection of cheeses, prepared foods and several aisles of other food staples.

One of my favorite place. I go there almost once a week to treat myself to something nice. The price is premium but you do get what you pay for.You can find some of the hard to find items that you won’t find in your typical grocer. High end artisanal shoyu sauce from Japan? Check. Quality bone marrow broth? Check. A5 grade wagyu? Check.They also have a nice on premise deli where they use the same ingredients. The burger 🍔 on the pretzel bun is really nice and a match for many premium burger out there. The price for the burger $8 is actually reasonable.

Incredible selection of high quality meats and specialty goods. Theyve got all cuts of beef (dry aged ribeye, wagyu brisket, porterhouse, and much more), an array of sausages, and even pre-made sides. This is my go-to spot for dry-aged burgers to take home!

This is where you get the good stuff. Marbled Wagyu, dry-aged T-bones, grass fed everything, fatty salmon, THICK cut bacon and a quality assortment of anything you’d ever need to cook meat with type stuff.You can find cheaper meat elsewhere and if you don’t know how to prepare these proteins well then you might be better off looking elsewhere; however, if you want your steak to taste it’s best then this is where you shop.

I think I found my new favorite place for culinary inspiration - wow! So much to try - not only do they have an amazing butcher and cheese counter, but the seasonings, condiments, pastas, grains, sauces, etc. will help you complete any special occasion. Oh, and the wine - I cant forget the wine!!! Not a huge selection, but you can find what you need. Nothing is cheap - but its definitely that you get what you pay for scenario. Its all about quality over quantity.

Hands down the best selection of meats in the area. Its a bit pricey and I usually just buy meat here for special occasions,but its worth it!They also have a fantastic lunch menu and some good beers on tap.

The Burger and the House sandwich are delicious. It was great beef and cooked perfectly. We chose the pretzel bun for the burger and it was delicious. The fries were not our thing, but I was there for the meat.This is essentially a meat market with a few tables tucked in it. I think that it is good to know how casual it is. Nothing fancy, and the tables could have been cleaner.The staff was great and the market itself has ALL kinds of fun things like Truffle oils, Chuao chocolates and yummy looking sauces. In addition to the meat and cheese it has a nice selection of frozen items. It is a fun place that is worth a stop.

The choices are endless. They have everything you need for the perfect barbeque. The service is outstanding and have a very knowledgeable staff. The prepped food-to-go is also delicious! This was a very positive and classy experience! Thank you.

That Prime Tomahawk steak is like a weapon. It’s dangerous, especially to my wallet. Maybe for my 40th birthday (10 years from now lol) I’ll splurge and buy 4 long bones total. Pretty cool market with tons of unique things that I want to buy and try. Like that venison steak jerky. Their sandwiches are good too. The store itself looks nice, clean tables (that very big round table tho), clean floors, and good customer service.I guess I’ll be back on my 40th Birthday!

We seen some friends of my wife’s right across The Butchery and they recommended we have lunch here, I am so glad that we took their advise!We ordered the Burger with Fries and the Steak Tip with Fries. Both dishes were very good, very tasty, seasoned well and perfect proportions. Us Americans overeat, we think it’s a value when you get enough food for 2 people. The Butchery, though not huge portion, serves a perfect amount and at reasonable pricing. The meat and ingredients are fresh and top quality.The meat counter & deli is amazing, they have high quality meat and an vast collection of cheeses. You can find anything here. The shop has high end coffees, honeys, pasta, sauces, canned goods and wines.Great place to have a burger, sandwich or meal and take some treasures home.

Their meats look awesome and their fish look very fresh. Had their hamburger and fries which I enjoyed very much.

One of my favorite places to stop by when im in the area there selection of premium steaks is killer and the different spices sauces etc are very good i highly recommend the smoke house burgers they are killer also the steak sandwich from the deli where they make it are super good

Great addition to the area markets. They have a massive selection of meats, cheese, pasta, noodles, wine, beer and so on. The food looks delicious at the counter, we will be going back to try the menu very soon.

Came to this shopping center to meet friends for ice cream. One friend recommended this place and we left with a Wagyu beef and every random sauce/spice weve been looking for. Truff hot sauce, Japanese wasabi, actual tuna rub, etc. Everyone was super helpful even including tips on cooking when we asked.Made our Wagyu steak tonight and its unbelievable! Easy 5 out of 5.

The steak sandwich was excellent. Meat was tender not stringy or chewy. Bread was fresh. Cheese was plentiful. I added avocados for $2

Had the house sandwich and fries. The fries were crispy and hot. The sandwich is basically a cheese steak sandwich on steroids. It has plenty of CHUNKS of tender steak with a bunch of green and red peppers and plenty of gooey cheese. Messy sandwich but super filling and delicious. Excellent service and food. Get yourself one soon. They have high end raw meats and plenty of other things.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!The cuts of meat are exquisite! If they dont have it theyll cut it for you. Obscure animal cuts. Extensive cheese selection! Didnt have the type of cheese I was looking for but sold the brand. The head of the cheese department said as long as it was available to her she would order it for me. Nice little Gourmet shop for trolling for new ideas and items with the cost also being gourmet. Another review will follow if its not what I expected for the cost.

Had a really poor customer service experience here. We ordered food from the counter and ate outside. They forgot some of our sides (happens no biggie) so when I ran in to ask the gal for some of the condiments she looked at me, rolled her eyes and continued twisting her hair.When we were done eating outside I cleaned up our trash and asked the gal where we can throw away our trash. She looked at me and said she didnt know and to go across the way. The trashcan outside was over-flooded and too small and she said she doesnt know and what do I want from her.Really didnt expect such a careless person working the front register who is the face of the store. She was rude, unhelpful and had an attitude. I was just trying to help and clean our table up after we enjoyed our meal from their counter. Hopefully they hire some staff that actually wants to work at the store.

Love this place but the fact that I can’t call in an order is rediculous. Went somewhere else to pick up lunch. Would highley recommend if you have time to walk in and wait for your order but, go somewhere else if you are on lunch break that takes orders by phone. What a joke!

Chicago Dog at the Butchery in Del Mar. Beautiful presentation but under cooked and bun falls apart. Have to say the Leftys in Hillcrest is a zillion times better.

Really good Lunch options ! And its just like their sign says quality meat. I got a medium rare steak and fries. And it was just so tender that a butter knife was enough to cut the steak. And I also noticed that they get some of their products from local places like bread from Prager Brothers and Nopalito chips. I would definitely come back here!

AMAZING LUNCH ! We headed over to One Paseo today to charge up my wifes Tesla Y and have some lunch at The Butchery...their sandwiches are very good ! My wife was starving and wanted a House Chicken Sandwich ( Grilled House Marinated Chicken Breast, American Cheese, Grilled Onions, Arugula, Heirloom Tomato, Buttermilk Ranch on a Brioche Bun served hot ) all to herself. Fair enough I thought so I ordered their SPECIAL ...Smoked Deli Brisket Sandwich ( Creamy Slaw, Pickled Red Onion & Mustard Seeds, Pepper Jack Cheese, BBQ Aioli on a Pretzel Bun served hot ). A nice friendly guy named Michael at the cashier counter looked after me when I placed our lunch order...I also asked for 2 x iced waters. While we waited for our lunch order I bought 4 x Three Pepper ( Pork ) Sausages and paid for them at the carry out cashier counter. We said hi to Kathy from the Charcuterie and Jeff from the seafood counter and had a nice chat with Andrew when he dropped by our table. Our lunch order was ready pretty quickly...Michael brought it to our table INSIDE. My wife loves Chicken and simply adored her hot House Chicken Sandwich full of top quality ingredients. I was BLOWN AWAY by the sheer quality and flavor of my Smoked Deli Brisket Sandwich....the brisket was absolutely layered on. Probably the BEST SANDWICH I have enjoyed this year ! Of course I have to mention the Hand Cut Fries.....no frozen or reheated rubbish here... just big fat fresh cooked fries just the way I like em ! And my wife pinched more than a few. Wow I hope they add the Smoked Deli Brisket Sandwich to their regular menu. HARD TO BEAT !

I love this place to eat and shop for protein, seasonings, cheese and other grilling items. I have an issue with the service from one person in particular always telling me how difficult it is to give me what I am asking for, complains incessantly about having to cut into another cheese wheel or having to make more patties or the number of customers she is helping. Love the place but would love to not hear her complain about how difficult I am making her job. Her customer service skills need improvement (everyone else is awesome and super helpful). I recommend the place avoid a certain lady behind the counter if you can.

Thought i found a great new place to eat. Burger tasted amazing. Fries on point. Atmosphere was nice. Lots of selections in the deli. The prices you may see are expected of the Del Mar area so dont be surprised when coming here.3/4 deep in i bite into a chunk of steel wool in my sandwich. At least i got a refund. That doesnt excuse the lack of sanitation practices. I can understand like a hair or something, that could naturally fall in.... but how the f__ do you get a chunk of steel wool in a sandwich??Do better.

Gotta try the american waygu steaks!! Good counter service and helpful. Also a mini market for snacks, beverages and gifts.

New, clean butchery & moderate selection groceries & wine. They also sell prepared food. I just ate the Faroe Island salmon salad and it was fabulous 😀

The butcher counter, the cheese counter, the food, the gourmet groceries, I love everything about The Butchery. Today I bought cheese that I have not seen outside of Switzerland and it was wonderful. Very knowledgeable staff also.

This place is great! Pre-pandemic wed come here and get tasty steaks for dinner or grab a quick bite for lunch.In the pandemic, this has become our favorite place to come stock up on really yummy food - bread, veggies, cheese, cooking supplies, and of course marinated steak or chicken.Its not cheap, but the quality is outstanding. You should at least try the maple bourbon steak tips.

Rheir meat is great, but prices have gone up significantly in recent months. I usually drift towards the dry aged, bone in ribeye but dont think I can afford it now that it is north of $40 per lb. Their sushi fish is top notch, and they have a competent monger. Great beer and wine selection. Like the other stuff, a bit pricey but hey ya gotta treat yourself once in a while.

Great little store excellent selection of dry aged Beef. I bought the bone in pork chops grilled them point on. Also its a little gourmet market with pastas, cheeses and produce.

I purchased few dry aged ribeyes from the Butchery to grill at home. Finally great dry aged meet in San Diego. The meat was delicious, tender and full of flavors! The staff in the store very friendly, and what is important can cut your steaks to any requested thickness! For sure will come again. The price is not cheap, but you cannot get this quality meat for cheap at any place. Highly recommended!!!

Excellent meat and gourmet market selection. Knocked down a star since seafood is way overpriced, but for a butcher shop it is excellent.

My wife and I are from Brooklyn and we’re both chefs. We were very surprised when we found out they’re no butcher shops in San Diego. We went to the butchery and were very pleased. Quality proteins from reputable farms and great cheeses. The Grocery selection is small, but all great quality. The main reason I’ll continue to come back is the staff, and mainly because of Joe Izzolino. He was so friendly, educated, and his customer service was top notch. I was watching him work and I thought I was back in NYC how fast and efficient he worked. He was so kind to my wife and I that we took extra notice because it was rare to see these days.P.S. I was pleased to see whole rabbit at The Butchery

AMAZING! Their burgers are delicious! My nephew really enjoyed the fries! They offer a variety of meats and cheese as well as other grocery items for your one-stop needs. Love this place. Looking forward to coming back.

My husband and I saw the butchery guys on KUSI.We came over to try it.So glad we did. The sandwiches are delicious.Service was great too.I had a pastrami sandwich. Very lean and had amazing pickles on it.We will be back.

A great place for creating your own meat/cheese board. The selections are unique and the staff (Joe is awesome) was knowledgeable and friendly. Even got a frozen bone for the pup!

I was super excited to see a quality new butcher shop come to this area, but after going there twice this place is a simple rip off. First their prices on wagyu beef are crazy. Pavilions a mile away for wagyu was 31.95 per lb and butchery is $75 per lb. Over twice the price! Their meet is super limited with zero organic beef and chicken... so they are like a middle of the road grocery store but with huge high prices... what is the point? This store has nothing to offer but high prices at normal quality. If they had high quality with good prices then they might make it but not with what they current sell and at their current prices... sad...i wish it was different

TOP QUALITY ! Wow...my wife and I were ambling around the One Paseo paths after having lunch and discovered this amazing butcher shop / deli. The meat selection was huge as was their wine / beer section ....premium beers too. The charcuterie was very impressive and we LOVE good tasting cheese. One of the managers named Derrick was very helpful and organized a taste of a 12 year aged sharp cheddar for us. They also have a huge range of packaged products, sell some Prager Brothers Artisan Breads and so much more. Darn that we had just had lunch because the sandwiches here looked way better than our lunch did. There is a lot to like in here !

Soooo amazing!!!!!! My kids have loved everything I’ve bought there!!!!! The lemon pepper chicken is amazing, their brocollini, the filet mignon burgers, and the house marinated chicken all cook so well! Happy u r at one paseo!!!!
