I recently bought a 2000 Chevy Express cutaway for a personal project, but had no idea the condition of the truck. I was looking for a full inspection of all the critical components. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Brandon Clark was my service guide and point man throughout the process. He really listened to what I was trying to do with the truck, was straight with me about results, told the truth, skillfully answered my technical questions, was prompt in communication, and worked with me to help make the best decision based on my budget. I loved the service. I booked my appointment online and following the email confirmation I also received a courtesy phone call from my advisor to confirm the appointment. When I got there, everyone was supper courteous and friendly. They service my vehicle quickly and gave me an explanation on what they did. It was a very good experience, I was in and out in about one hour.

My electric vehicle blew a tire and was towed to the dealer at 7pm, Oct 17, 2021. Fortunately they were open. I went into office to ask about procedure. Manny Sedano overheard me and promptly escorted me outside and walked me through the after hour service procedure for checking in. He then returned with the Service Manager, Sal, and introduced me. Both had been on their way out the door at end of work day but took the time. I got a call the next morning at 0730 with status report from Enzo in Service. Very impressed overall!!

I canceled my gap coverage in May 2021. They refused to process my refund. The finance office is shady. Dont go there. I bought the car and no follow up, nothing. No call. Paid it off this year and and tried to cancel the coverage. Submitted the cancelation papers to finance and nothing. ARi and the other rep, I spoke to several times...all I got was the run around... now this matter is going to court and I email and phone records for months.... my husband and I are done with chevrolet.. If you need a car go to carmax... no hassel... buy or selling..go communications.

Very Shady. The workers were very DISHONEST and charged us for something that should have been covered by the warranty. We called and asked questions and they would not answer our questions they ignored what they did. The invoice said in clear writing that they changed a specific part that is covered in my warranty. Once I asked them over the phone why it was not covered by the drivetrain warrenty they back pedaled and said Thats just how we word it, we didnt exchange the part But in plane text it says that they did exchange the part and charged 900 dollars for it. There are so many awful details to this experience that I do not have space to write out on this review. Will not go to this place ever again. It was appalling to say the least. Not to mention they kept my truck for 10 days. The dishonesty and terrible customer service needs to be taken care of. Do not ever use this dealership.

We spoke with frank about coming to look at a car. We had a set time and everything. When we arrived, he had disappeared and had a non trained associate show us the car who couldn’t tell us anything about the vehicle. We drove over and hour for absolutely nothing. After telling them about my experience and that I didn’t want them speaking to my anymore. They blamed the trainee and would NOT stop contacting me. Finally, I blocked the numbers. Completely unprofessional and would rate them 0 stars if I could !! Hope no one comes here looking for a vehicle and that the trainee finds a better job where his coworkers actually care about him!

I brought my truck in to tighten or replace 1 specific upper control arm bolt and nut that seemed to be stripped. You guys had tightened it my previous visit and it was all covered by warranty. I made it clear to my Service representative, Brandon, to let me know if its covered by warranty before doing anything. They disassembled everything and then told me it couldnt be reassembled without me being charged $510, even with the old nut and bolt. The truck was then there from Thursday-Tuesday when I expected a 2 day job and was then told Monday at the latest. Then they got the wrong parts supposedly. No loaner vehicle was offered, so I could work, and I live 45 minutes away, so they wouldnt even Uber me to my house. Communication was terrible, customer service was terrible, and cost was terrible.

I had set up an appointment to leave my car for some warranty work. I was greeted by a service manager that was not very friendly and treated me as if I was inconveniencing him. After typing up a couple items he rudely walked away and another service manager, Edgar, began assisting me. Edgar is great and very helpful. But after about 2 days at the dealership and no phone call on the status of our car I finally called. Edgar said they needed more time to order parts which is understandable but it’s summer and this is my wife’s main vehicle with 2 kids on their summer break! No loaner car was offered. I purchased a 07 Escalade and Hoehn motors in Carlsbad did all the service work there. They were amazing! Always providing a loaner vehicle for service and leaving our car clean and neat when we picked it up. In contrast, at Mission Bay my experience has been quite different. After being told my car would be approx 1 week to fix, it took 2 weeks to be repaired. My car came out dirty, understandable we had a fluke rain but I’m sure at least someone could have wiped it down at least. Upon inspecting the vehicle a gouge was taken out the plastic trim, another piece was never even installed and just tossed in the car and now my heated seats that worked perfectly before are no longer working. So now we are faced with taking time off our two jobs, not having a car again for who knows how long just when schools starts because of poorly executed services at your facility.

This is the best experience I have ever had at a car dealership - and my family owns a Chevy dealership in Ohio. Brandon was amazing. Professional, efficient, attentive. He took the time to explain everything in detail, even sending me a video of my shocks so I could see what was going on. When it turned out the job was going to take longer than anticipated, he arranged a rental car so I could get to and from work without a problem. Rodrigo Rea responded quickly to my email request for an Out - The - Door price on a 2022 Chevy Bolt. The quote was detailed and included all the incentives that I was qualified for. The price was about $4000 lower than all the other dealerships Id checked in SOCAL. Plus, Mission Bay Chevrolet had the largest inventory of new Bolts in all colors and configurations. Other dealerships had only one or two cars. My experience was perfect. I got what I asked for my trade and we made a great business deal that made me very happy. I was treated well and the whole transaction maybe took about 4 hours. Great work to all of the staff, especially Rodrigo Rea. Hes genuine, easy going, extremely helpful and knows how to treat customers.

I have a very hectic schedule and he was understanding of this and did not try to push me into a purchase before I was ready and had the time. I went to check out a Chevy bolt because I wanted something eco friendly but I was a little skeptical about electric cars and didn’t have much knowledgeable about them except that they ran on electricity. Alberto, the salesman that helped me gave me a call to check it out and to test drive it. He showed me all the features and how it works and I really likes the car. Long story short, I love driving my new bolt and it’s all thanks to Alberto. My experience was so good I’m telling my family members that want to go electric to go to mission bay to Alberto.

Absolutely the worst service dept. in San Diego!1) When they balanced the tires on my 2011 Camaro, they gave the car back to me with the large back wheel on the front and the smaller front wheel in the back, only on the passenger side of the car.2) Fuel Induction Cleaning, the engine cover was left loose in the engine compartment.THE WORST PART #3) They were to try to adjust the fabric on the frame of the convertible top so it would fold down properly into the compartment behind the rear seat. In the process the water management bag under the folded top was damaged by movement and the material cracked, NOW WATER LEAKS INTO MY TRUNK!They offered to give me a discount on replacing the water management bag, which requires removing the convertible top and re-installing it, I said NO WAY.They will NEVER service any of my Chevys again!YOU BETTER LOOK AT EVERYTHING THEY TOUCH

Unbelievably poor experience with their Service and their Sales team. Dont buy a vehicle from here if you plan to use them for continued service, as well. Absolutely the worst communication - they Lyfted me to work during scheduled service on a RECALL, but then left me stranded without a ride back to the dealership. Service team didnt return my multiple voicemails, closed at 6, and then Sales staff said they had no way to get me my vehicle. Only solution was to spend $20 on a Lyft from work to home, and then another $25 from home back to the dealership the next morning. Dont plan to use this Dealership again.UPDATE: the Service manager took my issue seriously and seemed genuinely concerned with my situation; he and the GM were both understanding and made things right. I hope this leads to better customer relation control and communication between the 2 departments.

I normally go to a different dealership to service my car but Courtesy had an immediate appointment available. Needless to say, I will not be returning or recommending this dealership. Took my Spark for emergency service today. Switched dealers. City seems very efficient and honest compared to Cummings /Baker. Still not convinced about upgrading. Did have chanced to view new vehicles and really became interested on a couple of models. Staff very friendly and techs very helpful. Edgar my service consulant was making every effort to get me on my way again. Will update after receiving my Spark. Wow! Very satisfied ! After diagnosis my vehicle was ready within the hour! I paid credit with my service advisor Edgar and my Spark was delivered washed and even tires detailed. Amazing! Will make appointment soon for oil change. My Spark requires only 1 or 2 oil changes depending on oil life monitoring based on GM recommendations via on board computer and OnStar services. Thank you City Chevrolet for getting me home safely after a long trip! Kudos to the service technicians whom did the most important task of performing the multi point inspection. Thanks again for your services!

I was in the market specifically for the 2021 Corvette. I had been trying for weeks to get on the list with many other dealers even out of state! Most required hefty deposits and mark ups above MSRP. They had terrible customer service as if they had costumers to spare which I guess they did at the time.Enter Mission Bay Chevrolet great customer service from the first communication all the way through! I had good experience. I used to go to Kerney Mesa Chevrolet for all my needs but that dealership has been getting worse and worse. I brought my car there for an oil change and rire rotation and they tried to force me to do $850 worth of useless cleans and flushes which were not part of the maintenance schedule. I left and decided to try Mission Bay Chevrolet instead. Here there was no BS. While doing oil change they found a transmission leak covered by warranty. They made sure I got a big SUV as a rental car for the duration of the repairs. The repair took a little longer than I thought but Brandon and Saul were very helpful. Good communication. Most importantly the people at the service department were genuinely friendly

Amazing experience at Mission Bay Chevrolet! The wife and I drove from SLC to San Diego for a funeral. Our C-7 Corvette developed a major mishap on the day of the funeral. Brandon, a service writer at Mission Beach Chevrolet came through for us in the most amazing way Ive ever experienced from a dealer! I cant possibly do justice to the incredible service we received in words here. Brandon negotiated with GM and got our Corvette repaired at the factories expense and arranged for a loaner vehicle for our remaining trip. I have driven GM vehicles my entire life and have never been treated so right by a dealership or the factory as we were in this case. I have been a City Chevrolet customer for 30 years, I have also purchased over $500,000.00worth of vehicles there in that time frame. I brought one of my trucks in with a check engine light on and paid $650.00 to have it fixed even though I am trying to sell it. Within 10 miles of driving it the check engine light came back on with the exact same issue. Instead of standing behind the repair I already paid for, I was informed that you wanted another $850.00 to fix the same problem again. That is pure robbery. If you misdiagnosed the repair then you should have credited back the money I paid for something that did not work. After all these years I guess I will be finding a new dealership to take my vehicles to.

Very poor communication. I dont feel that my concerns were addressed. I wasnt told what was done to my car even though I received an email about a recall item to be remedied. Concerns about battery life were dismissed. Service manager seemed mostly concerned with getting me out of the dealership quickly.

We had a great experience purchasing our Certified Pre-Owned truck with Adrian at Mission Bay Chevrolet. From start to finish, our experience was low pressure and hassle free. Adrian was knowledgeable, helpful, and straightforward. We were able to work out most details by phone, keeping our transaction remote until it was time to come in and test drive the vehicle. The first problem was with me ... I’m on a budget and I needed to get the car ready for smog. What needed to be done was over $2000 and for everything that is wrong with it was close to $6000. I had to get a loner since they were keeping it over night. When I was getting the loner the lady at the desk asked me if it was free? I said I’m not sure. She added that he had the power to give it to me free. During the time they had my car we emailed and I explain that I was on a budget and only could get one of the two items completed. When I checked out I was still charged for the loner and barely made the charges. I know that business is slow but it did disappointed me that we weren’t considered “good customers” and wasn’t given this opportunity to feel “Special.” It’s those little things in life that makes you the most happiest!

Long story short, I received a coupon for $50 service that was recommended to me by MBC on a Saturday while I was there to get an oil change. They suggested new tires. I made an appointment for the tires for that following Wednesday. I tried to get ahold of Brandon, my service consultant, Monday and Tuesday to get more information on the tires but he didnt get back to me until I called for a third time Tuesday evening and complained. I got the work done and I was satisfied enough with how everything went day of the service (except for the price). I wake up the very next day, Thursday, and I received an email saying that I was being offered $50 off any service $500 and up for the work that was recommended to be on that Saturday (i.e. Tires). I assumed I could call back and theyd refund me the $50 considering the situation. I called Brandon and he texted me back hours later to say that I can use that coupon on my next service and that he wont take it off my bill from the day before. This is my second issue in 6 months now with the service here and Ill happily not return.

Brandon’s Service was excellent. His communication through the process was thorough, clear and frequent. The service technician worked late on several nights to get my work completed before leaving on a long road trip. The Mission Bay Service Dept was fantastic.

Went in with my 2018 gmc acadia denali because the alarm was gong off. didnt have an appointment and we were in san diego visiting our daughter. it was a friday morning and we were headed back to baja that day! they still took me in and fixed the problem. cant thank them enough and i will be going back! craig dill

I dropped off my vehicle today in the morning for an oil change, I get a call back from Brandon that the air filter and cabin filter need to be replaced, cost is excessive, I decline, Brandon doesnt seem to care and hangs up, no body calls me when the vehicle will be ready or is ready, yet they call me for add ons, I called 3 times through the day only to be transfered to Brandon that never picked up the phone, I show up at 4 to find out they are closed, my vehicle is sitting behind their gates with the windows open and nobody cant do anything about it until Monday, this is great, hopefully the overnight condensation of salt-water doesnt damage the interior long term, I dont even know why they get a star, ill rather pay jiffy lube or any other, at least I know my vehicle is done in 15 min and not 48 hours, Good job, Mission Bay Chevrolet!!!!

Hi, I must say that Mission Bay Chevrolet is the Best of the Best. I went to 3 other Chevy dealerships here in San Diego and one up the coast. I would never buy anything from those other ones. Here at Mission Bay Chevy I wanted to do business with a Manager and I did, this was Ivan Martinez, straight forward guiding me thru the whole process of ordering my 2022 Trailblazer/ Active. My hat goes off to the Finance Manager Adrian Cordova who is very professional with a great personality/ sence of humor . It was very fast and efficient when it came to signing the documents as it should be but has never been that way for me in the past for my other cars . This was the Best. And I must say the man who who showed us every little feature about this new car was Frank Salgado. I dont see how he knows all these details about all these cars, like WOW ! I thought they did a pretty good job. I dropped off my van for an oil change on a Monday. Got arrested shop lifting at Walmart, left jail on Wednesday, picked up my van and they didnt even notice the body in the back. Thank you Chevy for respecting my privacy.
