This was my first time at the Staples. I needed one thing for a client project. Pulling into the parking lot I was not impressed. The panda express next to Staples has a board over one of the windows and there was dirty water and trash I had to step over to get to the store.Once inside, the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful and assisted me in finding the closest thing they had to what I needed in a short amount of time. The store was neat and clean inside and they got me in and out quickly which after a long day of work was appreciate it. I would’ve liked to of given them a five star, however the parking lot made it so I could only do four stars.
They need better customer service, they didn’t even ask if I needed help and the printers weren’t working properly for what I needed. Wouldn’t go back, fed ex and Office Depot are MUCH better for printing services.
I was at staples today because i had a last minute project i had t9 do, first i thank you for staying open so late, the employee who helped me was very nice and helped me very well, he is a prime example of how every employee should be at staples, his name was mario, 2 management please acknowledge this employee, he was very helpful.
David is informative with the products and services Staples offers. He also is very efficient at his job!
They refused to print out my movie posters and decided to force a refund because they were apparently copyright. Give me a break. Got them printed somewhere else easily and they look awesome. Luckily the second place I went to the people were super nice and not idiots like the people who work in the printing department here.
Awesome service. Even gave me an Allen wrench to put together my chair. Highly recommended for your office supplies.
Great experience this visit. Alijha was very help with my tax.
One of my worst experience customer service wise. I walked and was not greeted. Went to the ink department and found the type I needed but could not find solution for printer so I walked to Abigail who was at the register and asked if she knew where I could find the the solution to unclog head nozzles for my printer and her response was “ uh I’m not sure” than a pause and said “ I can call someone over to help you” 10 minutes later and twice over the loud speak stating help needed at the ink department no one came. No follow through nothing. You would think with 3 associates at the register another 2 associates over at the printer department Someone would come over to help. Thanks a lot for your help Abigail. End result went to Best Buy. Purchased ink for 3 dollars more than staples and got the help needed to also purchase the solution I needed. Won’t be going to staples again.
Rolando really helped me outNice store
Davon was amazing! So polite, friendly and assisted other customers in store while helping me! So impressed . He went out of his way to get my laminations done on top of his long list of orders . Deserves recognition 👍🏻
Treated kindly with my questions about printers
Mary in the printing area was SO helpful and kind. I had to get a giant 8 foot banner printed and she helped me put some hook things in it, and made sure to roll it up and put it in a bag to keep it clean. She was so friendly and happy and you could tell she really enjoyed her job. Thank you Mary for your help!!°
Paid $85 for some construction plans to be printed. Went to pick them up and they had been abandoned due to their policy. Never received an email regarding my order being thrown away. A courtesy call maybe a week before tossing someones work away would be a good business practice but as of now I will be giving $0 to this staples and will take the thousands my corporation spends yearly to their competitors.
Decent sales going on here right now. Prices always seem a little on the higher side. But this location is really close to my job, so its really convenient to get to. Found what we were looking for so that was good. Dont like the parking lot all that much in the day time but in the evening its much better. Way less crowded.
If you want to get the best service at this location I suggest coming in the evening gentleman by the name of Julio had given me great customer service for an office we have been building all his recommendations have been awesome. Also employee Timothy fixed my phone flawlessly. I came a couple times in the morning and got very poor and rude service and left to Office Depot. Seems like the staff doesnt know their products in the daytime.
Juan in the printing department is the man. I needed help with some signs and he can through just before closing with am awesome attitude and overall great service. Great price as well.
I was having a little trouble with my pdf file Devon came over (without me asking...good eye! )He was very helpful and went through every step with me. Got me in an out of there in just a few minutes !!
I went into the building with numerous questions. The young lady at the copy center was extremely professional and very polite. After I completed that, I had questions about certain binders and folders. The young lady working on the customer service floor was again very polite, professional, and helpful. Highly recommended the store.
These PEOPLE are full of LIES: I called a few minutes past 9am; asking for the store manager. The one who answered the phone said That is me. I was asking for the phone number of the district manager. She could not give that, as I be the assistant manager. I told her of being deceptive to me, in the claim to me of originally being the store manager who I asked for. I was told that The general manager be who I wanted you speak to. As he be not there. That he could call you back.I not wanted to give my contact info that she asked for, as (I reply) return phone calls are not reliable. Over time, I chose to give it a try -- just to test the reliability of this store: a failure or non-failure. As I knew the FAILURE be to overtake the truth.I called back a few+ minutes past 10am: A male answered the phone: I asked for the general manger.I was told Hes in a meeting right now.I replied I called an hour ago. Hes supposed to have called me back. You think Im gonna believe this. (saying that in the context THAT I NOT BELIEVE THE EMPLOYEE)NEVER TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU.I called this store because those @ the calling center are not reliable in answering my questions. As I expected better customer service calling a store. I was wrong.
I ordered business cards online for next day pickup at this location. typically, these would not have been ready until 8:00 pm the next day. I called the print center and asked if they could be done any earlier due to a networking event. The employee on shift called me back in 30 minutes to let me know my cards were done and I could pick them up at my earliest convenience. I was really impressed that he worked so quickly to finish my project. The print employee working on April 3rd around 8:30 pm did an excellent job. Thank you staples for working with my tight deadline.
If you want over the top professional customer service...seek out Caleb. He goes the extramile and seems genuinely happy to do so. I had forgotten to bring my rewards coupons with meto the store and they were big - $40 - so I didnt want to buy what I needed without them. For whatever reason I couldnt access the coupons on my phone. Caleb suggested that he could use a store computer and print them out for me to use! That, dear folks, is exceptional customer service and very appreciated! Thanks Caleb! Youre the best!
The crew in the copy/print center are AWESOME! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and work hard to find solutions to challenging print jobs. They ROCK.
I know merchants are limiting the items in stores due to online shopping. This makes it more difficult for actually looking at items for purchase. Staples helps with this by allowing online purchases in the store and payment at the site. This made it a one stop solution for my visually impaired companion.
Its very easy to spend an hour in this store just looking at $5 gadgets! Major squirrel moment, but staff is attentive without being obnoxious and the deals are great.
Very poor selection. Nothing is organized very well making it very difficult to find anything. Sales associates non-existent on the floor making finding things even more difficult. Millions of cases if youre part of the less than half the people who own iPhones, very few if youre part of the majority who own a Droid. Twice Ive gone there to ship something and was told Id have to wait over half an hour because the one associate who works in shipping was helping somebody else. Pretty much the only thing that keeps me going there at all is that its the closest place to get BASIC supplies and its super close to my house.
African American visiting san diego for three weeks for work. Upon entering the store the clerk immediately told me to leave my backpack and the seaworld tote I just bought at the front counter. I obliged and when I went to pay for my items i noticed LITERALLY NO OTHER SHOPPER WITH A BACKPACK WAS ASKED TO LEAVE IT AT THE COUNTER. I asked the two workers about this but they gave a ridiculous answer anout how they were busy ringing the woman in front of me for her items. They clearly saw. blatant discrimination. If you are of darker complexion stay away from this location.
Ive been faithful customer to a dwindling Staples. Disappointed in how my recent purchase was handled...I purchased a office chair which they no longer had closed boxed chairs...I was offered the display chair but was also charged the $14.99 fee for putting it together (it was their ONLY one) they would have waived that fee if I purchased a $29 warranty fee? Do the math! . .that will be my last purchase 😳
The employees are very friendly and helpful. If youre in a rush, ask for help to save time wandering the aisles. Like all Staples, this one opens early and closes late.It can be hard to get in and out of during rush hour.
This is the WORST office supply store Ive ever been to. Not one of the four very unfriendly employees was at all helpful with very simple questions - like, if the printer Id like to purchase is not on the shelf, are there any in the stock room. After paging a manager, who never showed up, and waiting around 15 minutes I was told another employee who could help would be in to start their shift in 10 minutes. I had called to ask before arriving if they carried white rolls of paper and was told yes. When I got to the store, an employee stocking shelves told me they didnt carry white paper on a roll. I told him Ive been told over the phone 5 minutes previous that it was in stock. I also asked this same employee if he knew anything about ink cartridges, which he didnt, and my last question was where I could find individual boxes for shipping. I was told he had placed all the boxes up front by the register (NOT the bankers storage boxes that were on sale!!). He came back 5 minutes later and advised me the last 2 rolls of white paper had just been purchased. I wandered around the store and finally found shipping boxes in different sizes as well as 6 rolls of which paper! Oh, thats what you wanted? Really?!!! I put the ink cartridges back on the shelf, got my 2 rolls of paper and left swearing Id never be back to this store! The employees at the cash register couldnt think there way out of a shoe box!!! Came home and ordered a color printer online from Best Buy at a much better price and available for pickup the following day. If Staples is in fact merging with Office Depot, I would hope someone in upper management would figure out theres a major training problem at this Staples store. HORRID!
I was there last week. I had 7 boxes and 4 large ink cartridges to shred and recycle. They watched me unload everything right at the front door and bring it in I rolled it all over to the printing/shredding desk. I was not greeted nor asked if I need helped. I stood there waiting for help. Finally I walked over to the girl behind the front counter who was trying hard to ignore me. I started to say, where do take ink... she cut me off saying the ink to buy was over there (pointing). Im like no recycle. She said I can do that here. So I went and got the cartridges which were stacked on the cart with the 7 boxes of shredding beside the man behind the counter who was completely ignoring it. I did the cartridge recycle, then asked about the shredding. She said, oh let me see if they are full and called over there (even though they were standing right there). She said they were full. So I walked over to the man who was ignoring because I wanted him to tell me that to my face, not ignore me again, and I was very annoyed they all watched me haul in all these boxes and said nothing. He said yes they are full and walked away. I shouted across the room and said, well can you tell me where I can take them? Or who I can call? He gave me a two other locations a numbers. Then watched me roll the cart away (which was very heavy). I got the cart caught on the side of the pole trying to get out the door. It was hard to maneuver because it was so heavy. A superior walked in the door right past me (had head set on and saw name tag), completely ignored me. No one asked if they could help. I was completely ignored by everyone. There was none there, it was not busy at all. I then went over to the location in mission valley. I was greeted when I walked in and asked if I need help. Had a man help me unload everything. They were all very nice and helpful. I will never go to the Point Loma location again. The people there were all very young - please give them some customer service training!!!!
Staples people are warm and welcoming. I always enjoy popping in to get office supplies and people help me when I ask.
My visit here was great I needed to make a quick spiral binded catalog for my clients took me 30 min and I was out. Violeta was quick. Helpful and I got some great deals.
Very good service.Juan helped me a lot and I appreciate all.
It was very busy, however the employees handled the rush with patience and a smile.
GREAT PLACE, THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!! :D
Asked for help from a manager as i was searching for a chair mat, was assured she would check for me. 15 mins later i ask a cashier the same question, 8 more mins, yes i timed it, we dont have any in store.
Average experience at this location. Workers were helpful. Bathroom was terrible.
The printing center clerk is really helpful and has awesome hair!!
Not as well organized as office depot. There prices are the same but the staff just is not as noticeable. Check out person was nice and friendly.
Always easy parking and lots of toys to choose from.
Didnt have what I was looking for. Helpful staff. Outdated store.
Slow print service. Needs a line so they take people as they come.
Good selection, great staff. They also have a great discount bin with tons of oddities in it.
Dont bother shopping here thinking youll find office furniture in stock.
Always helpful when I have been in.
Friendly staff. The security measures on hard disks, ink and network switches is a bit much. Theyre all locked up and not particularly expensive items.
A Staples helper handed me a black ink cartridge for a basic HP printer that cost $103.00. I said there must be one cheaper than that. He said but there are 2 in there. Then he told me if I only want one to look on the wall of hundreds of ink cartridges and walked away. I turned to Amazon Prime and got one for $13.00 same day delivery.
Bathroom needs repair and remodeling. Customer service was good, though.
Great selection and helpful staff.
Terrible quality when printing out pictures. Had to totally redo. Took over 8 hours to print a few pictures. Why does it take so long?! Should have just gone to Target and printed within minutes.
Update: TODAY, Esteban saved the day! He went over and beyond to help me, and really saved me!!!!!!!!!!!!!Helpful employees. Parking is horrific.
Book binding in and out in 2 mins. awesome!
Awesome Louise is rad very hepful
Standard Staples store. pleasant staff
Took forever to print a few documents I emailed to them and Sales Associate Brynne was rude. Sorry for making you have to work while you are on the clock. Shame on me.
Josie is the worst. We had many difficult times with her. Now, we just come back at different time whenever i see her or go to other stores.
Understaffed. Spent 5 minutes getting what I needed and about an hour on line. It was back to school week, but still, only 3 cashiers.
It looks spare inside, but once I asked for help, they took care of me right away. They even matched the lower online price.
Higher prices, less selection, and a usps mailing center that you cant mail certified letters through
Didnt have the product I needed but were very friendly
Linda was very helpful
Helpful staff.
Had trouble finding a pen selection but it was slightly resolved
Very little stock, most locked behind glass. Poor parking.
Got what I needed and out in 5 minutes.
Didnt have anything in stock. Employees not helpful and self absorbed.
