I made a phone order from Texas for a delivery in San Diego, and my brother received some pretty amazing warm chocolate chunk cookies and milk for a midnight surprise! What a great idea! Last night I tried their vegan, gluten free chocolate chip cookie and Ill admit, I wasnt expecting much. Omygosh that was almost the best chocolate chip cookie Ive ever had - seriously!! (Only 2nd to my own 😂)You have to try Insomnia Cookies!!

I came In today to purchase two 6 packs of cookies and 1 Peets coffee.I purchased three $10 gift cards on there site yesterday. The store was unable to accept them. Instead of declining me service, the cashier and a lady named kat went above and beyond and displayed exemplantary customer service.Kat called customer service and did everything she could in order to get my order filled using my gift cards. Ultimately they were unable to complete by order over the phone using the gift cards but did confirm on the phone that my gift cards had balance.Insomnia stated that they only allow one gift card to be used per order as the reason.Kat processed my order and gave me my cookies despite this.She took a note of the gift cards and told me that she will call insomnia to use my gift cards at a later time.I very much appreciate this act of kindness and I will definitely be returning in the near future!

Placed an order last night. Couldnt picked them up for reasons beyond my control. Went today and was told they dont keep orders overnight. My loss. No suggestion of making a replacement order. Good thing I was getting them for free. Only wasted gas and time. Oh well

Friend and I got a deluxe + 5 cookies. Walnut raisin chocolate deluxe with snickerdoodle, strawberry chocolate, white chocolate macadamia, mint chocolate, and chocolate chunk. Cookies were all good but mostly not worth the price, would say try the unique flavors here like the strawberry chocolate or the deluxe ones because the more popular flavors will taste exactly like typical storebought cookies.

Absolutely awful. Placed the order at 19:54 on the evening of May 15th. Called the store at 21:18 to check the status and was assured the driver was out for delivery and they should be here any minute... We didn’t receive our order until 2200, I called and canceled at the 2 hour mark though which is unfortunate as we were introducing insomnia cookies to our friends for the first time. Needless to say they were not a hit. I understand the store may have been busier than usual and was told they only had 1 driver but 2 hours for cookies is unacceptable. 10/10 would not recommend. Fix your Pacific beach store. Violet who answered the phone was very helpful and ensured we would get a refund.

Worst service ever! I’m not sure who I spoke to, I believe it was a man but he was very rude and VERY demanding.I felt unsafe. Will never go here again and will warn everybody to steer clear.

I drove from Oceanside to pick up Insomia cookies. I have came here three times in the past month; the customer service isnt the best... which is why I have rated this location a 3-star. However, the cookies are good. Ive had to wait for cookies to be made because they never have them on stock. The Cashier is typically in the back and doesnt greet customers when walking into the empty location. This past experience, the employee was behind the counter but seemed to be too busy scraping cookies off trays to welcome not only myself, but several other customers who came in and eventually left without ordering possibly due to the confusion. Not sure if the workload is too much for one employee to run between baking, cleaning, and serving, but its really not that warm welcoming feeling.

A sanctuary for all you sweet tooths out there. Every bite is a jackpot. The cookies are melt in your mouth especially the chocolate chip peanut butter deluxe ice cream cookie sandwich. Definitely worth a try.

It was late and I had a serious sweet tooth!! Of course just about all of the bakeries were closed for the night. I almost lost hope scrolling through Yelp looking for cookies when I came upon Insomnia Cookies. OMG!! When you walk in youre practically KNOCKED out by the smell of fresh baked cookies!! Im IN LOVE with these Ooey Gooey cookies!! Served up nice and warm!! I wanted to eat them the minute I purchased them but there was a sign that said you couldnt eat inside. Ha!! They are a good size and practically MELT in your mouth!! There are larger specialty cookies but Ill have to try those next time. I got the chocolate chunk chip and peanut butter w/peanut butter chips!! To die for!! Next time Ill get a scoop of ice cream with it!! A little pricey but worth every penny!! I couldnt believe how late they were open..I figured thats why theyre called Insomnia Cookies!! Truly the UNICORN of cookies!!

Got snickerdoodles. They werent baked all the way through, still completely dough in the middle. I dont mind cookie dough, but I dont buy cookies at a cookie shop for raw dough. I would buy or make the dough myself if thats what I wanted.

Came to this store at 9pm on a Sunday. The open sign was on and blinking in the window and the hours posted day until 1am. There were employees inside and they turned is away saying they were closed, no explanation. Very sad.

I rarely write reviews, but these cookies are to die for!! Chewy and crisp on the outside and soft and gooey in the middle. Excellent flavors! I got mocha chip, chocolate chip and snickerdoodle. Customer service was great too! Ill be coming back for sure!

Very friendly customer service. Stays open quite late if you have a sweet tooth after partying for hanging out in one of the most active spots in San Diego. And their cookies are delicious; many selections to choose from and a few special items to tantalize your palate. Definitely recommend.

They have a vegan, gluten free cookie here. My only recommendation is to get cookies bagged separately, and pop them in the fridge overnight. Theyre just a little too melty fresh out of the oven.

Had strawberry cheesecake icecream with white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, it was like the strawberry shortcake ice cream bar but with the texture of a warm cookie. My dream come true.

Small place with absolutely no seating inside. It took over 45 minutes for an order of tacos! Once we finally got them, they tasted just ok. The steak tacos were good. The Al Pastor were tasteless, and the fish tacos were not good. The guacamole was watery and the chips had no salt! I would not go back to this place, sorry.

Cookies were great, ice cream was tasty and the literal nicest woman in California works here. Would recommend.

Id say the ice cream sandwich option is as good as the baked bear, but with less wait (for not at least).The cookies are a little pricey, on par with the Cravory (maybe $.50 less than than they are). But delicious and very filling. For the price you could probably get a larger quantity of fresh donuts nearby at Lindas (nearby on Grand), but its a bit of an apple or oranges comparison.The space is not set up well to ear on site, but youre given a nice takeaway box (like a small pizza box). The employees are stilling learning the ropes a little it seems, but Im sure theyll be dialed in soon.Overall Id say its worth a try, and a fun thing to do with a SO or your kids. The Snickerdoodles were awesome.Original Review: This location is still under construction and currently hiring. However, Ive been to the Kansas City location on many late nights, and let me assure you, this place is gonna be great. It provides a nice change of pace for those of us hat frequent donut places, and its nice to have them open late when most bakeries are usually closed.

This is a good option if you want one or more warm cookies on the spot. Theres a good selection available, but its about $2 per cookie, but you can buy in multiples of 6 to save a little.I tried the white choco macadamia and the choco mint, both of which are good and have a nice flavor.

Well I tried the cookies about 2 nights ago. They are good and my wife loves them. They also deliver witch is one of their nitch I would say. With that being said. I went online to order and placed the order and when I hit submit nothing happend on the pack end. I didnt receive and email or and on screen confirmation letting me know if the order went throught. I then called the customer service # and they could not help me at all . He said it was to early to tell if the order went throught. Then this morning since I never received my order or got a call from the store I thought oh well the order didnt go through. To my surprise this morning I check my back statement and see I got charged for the order. Super bad experience cookies are good. But if your nitch is a delivery service you should have a better grasp on the working of your company when it comes to issues like this. Oh yeah did I mention I got charged 2 times. The guy on the phone called them ghost charges.

I can’t say enough good things about insomnia cookies and Pacific beach. Kamela was super helpful and was very attentive to my needs when it came to getting some cookies.

Tried this bakery for the first time about 2 weeks ago and wasn’t impressed. My husband had an ice cream sandwich which was $6.50 and I had the A La Mode option for $6.00, I feel that is pricey. For 50 censt more I could’ve had another cookie, same amount of ice cream which wasn’t much we had one scoop. My husband liked his snickerdoodles and my chocolate chip cookie tasted like the kind you buy in the store to bake at home. Overall it was worrh trying for the experience. Customer service was pretty bland too, the lady was so unfriendly and when we asked for reccomendations and wanted to know more about the business she gave us one word answers.
