The best grocery store ever! If you were looking for gourmet foods, organic, or anything in between, they have it. Eventually, this beautiful store had everything we needed. Also, I love their store so much. It was clean, and the staff was very friendly. I should be honest that it was much nicer than the store near my house.

A nice market with great assortment of items. Especially nice for niche items. Ive found great keto, vegan, gluten free items . Their bread section has all the family favorites and much more. A very cool olive bar and a varied selection of vinegars as well as more fresh soups than Ive seen at a market sets them apart from their competitors. Definitely worth a stop when you have time to explore.

Barons is what the snake overlord’s grocery store chain, Whole Foods, is attempting to be.But seriously, I feel like I always discover something new, interesting, and tasty when I stop by Barons and poke around. It’s my go-to store in San Diego! I love how clean it is and how quickly I can be in and out.

Love Barons! Great organic food, beautiful cheese and produce selections, charcuterie, great coffee selection. Been shopping here since 2003. One of the very few places in town with almost every Rebel ice cream flavor and Keto bars.

Always good quality products. The only thing I stay away from is their raw vaccum packed meat. Other than that, amazing!

This is our favorite grocery store along with Peoples Food Coop in Ocean Beach. We are lucky to have both in close proximity to us. The staff at Barons are professional and warm and friendly. The selection is excellent. You might call it an Unhip Trader Joes and that is not meant to be pejorative. It is Trader Joes without all the cutesy signs. Before the pandemic, they had samples which were always very tasty. There is one employee named Ian who literally goes out of his way to help us customers any way he can. Best of luck and success to them all!

Well laid out & organized grocery store. Great variety of fresh and clean produce. Good variety of dry food goods, vegetable oils, ethnic seasonings & sauces. Coffee, tea, wines, local beers n stock. Household cleaning products, chips, candies & supplements. Worth a visit if one has a long grocery & household list.

Employees are always friendly and willing to help. They are very aware of the checkout line and go out of their way to open more registers

Barons is great for produce. There always seems to be a sale that makes something incredibly cheap, and their produce tastes great! I like their coffee as well. Their beer is expensive, but they have a wide selection

Barons has the best produce and friendliest staff. I love their food demos and have discovered many new tasty products through the demos. Recently theyve expanded their offerings of high-quality baked goods, international cheeses and organic produce. I especially like their selection of interesting flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegar as well as their variety of wines. Its a wonderful neighborhood grocery store -- and has excellent prices as well.

We are so blessed in San Diego to have Barons. Best grocery store period. Please dont allow this store to be bought out by the megastores. Highest quality local produce and great prices. Still has all the best local bakery, meats, and beer available. Meats can be a bit expensive, but its because it really is the best meat out there. They have and oil and vinegar bar with tasting. Their samples are way better than Costco and you dont get lost looking at couches and 3 stories of toilet paper. If you like craft beer, you gotta try their beer pairing events! Local breweries with handcrafted Barons food for like $15 bucks. Ones you become a Barons person, you wont want to go back to the other stores.

Best Market hands down! This store is the perfect size and Carrys all of the essentials. From the breads and fruits to the meats cheeses, beers, and wine this place is my favorite grocery store. I have been coming here since I was kid with my dad, from BBQing on the weekends to today cooking complete meals in my kitchen from scratch. I really enjoy stopping in here. I dont do my primary shopping here due to it being smaller but, I love coming here for specialty items or last min things I have forgotten. Its walking distance from my house and their have really good high quality products and I always find just what Im looking for and usually something else interesting to snack on also! Their service is always great and they always seem to have happy employees who are happy to serve you!

This grocery store is so perfect. They have all organic foods and produce at a fraction of the costs you would see at Wholefoods. Their salad bar is amazing, so many options, and only $5.99/ per pound. And all the staff are so friendly and nice.

Plastic gloves, hand wipes, foaming cleanser available to use before entering and leaving store. Someone outside to make sure you have a cart that has been cleaned & have mask on. Limited amount of patrons allowed. Store very clean.

This is our go-to grocery store in our neighborhood since we dont have a car and we like it. The staff is friendly and the selection is really wide. Theyre always on top of all the current health talks and recently I even had a conversation with one of the employees about the Omnivores Dilemma regarding eggs. Also you can always ask them how to prepare stuff, they will know. Downsides: its usually very busy and its not cheap.I wonder if it will overflow if they will build that giant apartment complex next door.

Theyve got a large selection and plenty with their private label as well. Their parking structure is a decent size and you could find a spot if you wait a few minutes. Even though theres usually a line in the checkstands, the big plus for me is that theyre open 24/7.

Four stars because they dont have a deli or much produce...everthing else is great! They have a really awesome selection of normal grocery store food and more indie/natural food. Great prices too...and the staff are really friendly!

Barons is a great place to get reasonably priced produce and dairy items. They also have alot of healthier packaged foods as well.

Mad props to Scotty and Rob who helped me when I felt ill in the store after donating blood outside in the Bloodmobile. They were caring and extremely professional with me after I fainted in the store, stayed with me until I was well and never made me feel bad. I shop here often but now I will recommend it for more than just the good food. Thanks, guys

Customer Service is Amazing. The Deli very tempting. Everything looks fresh. I think the lighting in the store makes a huge difference.

Wicked expensive and doesnt have all your groceries in one place, but what they do have is high quality and generally healthier. They have a great wine selection, too, as well as a crazy selection of nuts from a scoop-your-own-nut station. I always enjoy walking through here.

It is a great local / community grocery store. They always open a lane or two when there are more than a couple of people in line. The staff is great for the most part, but a few could be trained a bit more in customer service.

I live right nearby, Barons is a great place to get a lot of fresh food. HUGE beer/wine selection and they seem to hand-pick good products and put them out on display periodically. Tasty soup and salad section that is better than going to Souplantation.

1st time visiting Barons Market. My husband wanted to check their selection of beer. Boy, they have a huge selection. Prices are a little above average. Nice store.

This place is jam-packed full of everything you want good prices and they also subcontract from a local bakery which provides them with fresh pastries and cookies they have some cookies that have a goat milk caramel in it that are to die for

My fiancee and I have given this shop several chances. I love their freshly squeezed oj, olive oil samples, and cheese selection. What I dislike is how prejudiced the staff can be. We have been obviously pointed at, followed around the store, and while checking out had minimal verbal interactions even though the people before and after us received a warm greeting and sincere thanks. One hello upon entering and not a word exchanged while we were paying except a thank you from us. I dont know if its our tattoos, my purple hair, or how brown his skin is, but we have never felt welcome here.

Best small town feel local grocery market. They have a great selection of cheeses, wines, micro brew beers and a great salad bar with tasty olive selection. The produce selection is also top notch with organic options as well.
