This place is well stocked and spacious. Good prices. Reminds me of a Mexican Food4Less.

This is the most reasonable vegetables and fruit store you will ever find in the city of San Diego nothing is less expensive it makes droughts seem like three times as much and whole foods six times as much and Ralphs two and a half times as much fun about two and a half times as much so if you really want to save money theres no better place for fruits and vegetables there are other items as well but I always shop for my fruits and vegetables there $10 can buy you two back full shopping bags sometimes more sometimes a little less depending what you buy but its a steal every time I leave there I feel like Im getting food for free

In one of those life moments I was broke down outside the store and hadnt eaten for almost 2 days and when ran out of dog food. I had to go to the store with one of those hat in hand moments nobody imagine do happen to regular people who dont steal. The manager without hesitation brought me a great sack lunch and some dog food for my pup. I hope that man find many blessings in his life

Great selection of items on this store. Highly recommend. Avoid going on the 15th and end of month since the store does get busy.

The most affordable grocery store in San Diego their fruits and vegetables are the cheapest and they have a great selection of them .their bakery has the best sweet bread (pan dulce) their meat market always have special they had Tbone for 4.99 a lb and ribeyes for 5.99 a lb. Just go down the aisle and compare prices, you will be coming back every week to save money.

This place is AWESOME!! I found their ad in my mailbox, and the prices looked good, so I went to shop. The prices are the best! Their produce was fresh, and their meat market was busy, which is good, and I found everything I needed, plus more. The one here in City Heights is always busy according to the cashier, so be prepared to wait in line, but I will be making this my go-to grocery store from now.

Overall is a great place to get authentic Mexican cuisine items but their produce department is slacking big. I was doing my grocery shopping and it’s inexcusable to sell produce in this condition.

El Super is an Awesome place to get Authentic Mercado Based items. This location is actually much fancier than my hometown of El Paso. I just love the fresh aromas when they make Chicharrones, Fresh Tortillas or anything that is made really fresh.

Not crowded. Place was clean. I picked up a few veggies because I was in a hurry, well see how the last. In the past the veggies have only lasted like 2-3 days before needing to be thrown out.

Everything inside is great. The only problem. Leaving. The merely same reason I hardly come in. EXTREMELY Long and Long LASTING lines. Expect at least 20-25 minutes in line alone. But, if you have time. The food, BAKERY and some sales are great. With time. Of course.

I dont understand why this store send ads to ours mailboxes weekly, but they dont treat their customers appreciatively. The store not only unclean, they dont have enough cashiers and they are too busy to be kind to customers whom only buy few items.

Great prices! Clean store! Helpful staff. The meat is inexpensive but I think its kinda gross that they stack up old meat in the front of the display that they cant sell just to make it look like its well stocked. They sold out of the particular steak I came in for and when I asked about the layer below it, they told me thats old meat you cant eat it. 🤢 Then why is it sitting in the same display with the fresh meat. Thats asking for a disaster to happen

I visit this store every 3-4 weeks mainly to buy chicken for my dog. They sell chicken legs and thighs for 59-79 cents a pound and usually have feet and hearts or gizzards as well, which she really enjoys.Often there is a line at the meat counter, and those who dont speak Spanish may need to pay special attention for their number as it might be called out verbally rather than displayed on the board, or before its on the board. The staff is friendly and I guess the great prices are worth the lines for many people.I also buy my hibiscus for jamaica or sorrel and Titos vodka here occasionally, the dog lovers vodka, as they have a good price. I dont find many organic products here so dont crdinarily buy much else.

Dont bring a back pack unless you are willing to risk leaving it it with cashier until you leave.the service is mediocre and sometimes plain rude. Having dispensed with that uglyness, I can say the prices were fairly sharp and even good on some items. you will find the typical Latin market products an in-store prepared food, bakery and some very good tortillas and masa. The produce is hit and miss but adequate for most basic needs. They have decent assortment of of in house dairy including fresh Mexican cheese, crema, cotija, panela, etc. Various salsa. There are bargains to be had in the meat dept and the butcher was very pleasant, but the selection lacked quality and variety.If you are on a rush just walk the perimeter and avoid the aislesLocated in the middle of this store. However, If you do venture in there you will find some a decent offering but use caution, as some items are way overpriced.All and all a good neighborhood grocery . But honestly l, if I wasnt visiting the fabulous thrift stores, I could easily live without this store.

I have a lot to say about super. Lets start with the ladies in the Deli. Theyre great I love them. Theyre always nice and friendly and sweet. Then the food theres these green enchiladas theyre magnificent. Im not sure who makes the sauce but I was told its the same person its perfect The sauce is just perfect. They used to have the spicy chicken strips they were magnificent but now they just have regular chicken strips which are really good too. I agua frescas are always super good. They could improve on parking and the checkout lines

Please dont take this the wrong way, their is no insult intended. But your BAG IT YOURSELF bagging system, does not work. For one, your lines are way too long. More Lanes need to be opened. ( Hire some part-timers.) Two, this community needs to be educated . But, that is not your fault. It starts in the home. Try hiring some part timers for the 1st and 3rd of the month.

Ordered Carne Asada Burritos via UberEats. Requested no added rice or beans in the burritos. The burritos each had rice and beans, but were otherwise good. Bought 1.5lbs of Chicharron Con Carne. It was undercooked with lots of gelatinous fat under the crispy skin. I would not buy it again. Added a star because the cashier, Wendy A., had a huge genuine smile, was very friendly, and offered a box to make carrying the bags of food easier.

The staff here need some work the meat department staff are way organized and polite compared to the front end. I was in line at the designated area to wait to be told to go to a register when I was instructed to go to the express lane. While I was at the express line another women just came and stand next to me. I told her that the line started at the other end when she started talking in Spanish saying disrespectful words to me and even hit my stuff off my hands. Placed her hands on me out of respect that she was old I told her to not talk disrespectful. She keep talking in Spanish to the cashiers and they didn’t know where to check me out. Must have had more than 1 staff talking to the other customer in Spanish instead of fixing the problem I felt very mistreated and the fact that the staff was speaking in Spanish to her and treating me like I was not a valued customer.At one point the other staff asked the staff at the line department if I was send to the register and he replied yes and the other female staff still disregarded the fact that I was right and still was on their disregard that the lady was being disrespectful towards me. I occasionally shop here spending over 200$ when I shop but this time I was only getting a 2lbs carne asada which cost around $20$ and some amazing tamales but all the issue is not worth coming in to this store. I felt like they where raciest towards me and the fact that I hand my special need child with me was 1 reason why I write this. I work for customer service myself and being that your in a environment where other race are present it’s best to speak English so that you treat everyone equal. I will not be going to this store and I’d rather drive to the local farmers market to enjoy a peaceful and non raciest environment. And it’s sad that my boyfriend is Mexican and they treat other people like that. Customer service should not be measured or selective it should come from the HEART.

This place always has long lines. It doesn’t matter when I come or how many people are in the store, the wait time to pay is ridiculous.Also, it sucks when you come specifically for onions and the entire grocery store is out of onions.

Little gem in City Heights that carries just a tremendous selection of produce and latin american products at unbelievable pricesIve been looking for blue corn tortillas and most places have them as special orders at a premium. Walked in here today and they have 2 dozen for $1.49.Limes were 2 pounds for 99 cents. Bins sells you ONE LIME for 59 cents. Walked out of here with groceries for the entire week for under $45, which includes all the items needed to.make tamales and pozole.For any super exotic ingredients or produce, if you are in North Park, Normal Heights or even Mission Valley or La Mesa, visit this place. Its a large market stocked with everything you need and a huge meat counter.

Disgusting service in the fresh meat section. Serve out of turn. I waited 20 minutes. I told them about my number, they didn’t pay attention to me and continued to serve other customers who came after me. They speak only Spanish, which is not allowed !!! This is disgusting and unacceptable !!!

Well known name brands, friendly service, ample parking.

I just entered el super and they’re not sanitizing the carts and when I asked for sanitizer wipes or a spray they said they didn’t have none and refused to help me clean the cart I’m going to report them to OSHA that’s completely unsanitary

It was the end of the night (10:30pm) so some of the fresh fruit hadnt been replaced yet. However the bananas I went to get were there! The store still really clean.

This is our spot to go shopping for fruits, vegetables, and salsa. Its super cheap and fresh. They have good bakery as well. And super fresh homemade cheese.As for meat and fish, I would not recommend this place, as that section doesnt smell good, you know. I mean it looks like fish and meats are not fresh at all.I dont know why people complain about big lines. Even at super busy time with real big lines it takes about 10 minutes to be checked out, not like 30. I can see, the cashiers there trying to do it as fast as possible.

I used to love coming to this store for the great prices and food quality. Ive talked to store manager about the rude lady that works in meat department. Today I had a bad experience once again with this lady I do not wish for her to be fired but attitude needs to be fixed, Im done with this place.

They dont treat their workers right. My aunt was fired from this store after years of suffering from work related injuries.

First time going in there

A very large store, yet somehow more organized than most grocery stores that Ive seen. Very clean and spacious. The meat didnt seem very fresh, and prices for many basic items ran a tad bit high.. But its definitely worth coming here again!
