What a great experience. We had to replace our passenger side mirror. Called in the morning, spoke to a wonderful professional, Adrian, he ordered the part. Got off work, same day, stopped by and he replaced part of it, but the mirror had been cracked in delivery to SF Toyota. The next day Adrian came to our house and finished the repair. He was wonderful, timely and extremely communicative. Thank you, Adrian and SF Toyota from turning an awful experience of hit and run, losing our side mirror to making us feel supported! As someone that has purchased brand new cars for the last 45 years every few years and over the years had many experiences with dealership service centers I cant even begin to tell you how impressed I am with this San Francisco Toyota service center. They hold themselves to the highest standards and they epitomize the spirit of customer service oriented employees. Erick Martinez is the standard bearer. I must congratulate the service center manager Bing Li for hiring such super stars. As I have said to many of my friends over the last 35 years you will spend about an hour or 2 with the sales person, thats not where your focus should be but focus should be on the service center that you will be dealing with for years to come. The car is not mine but I envy the owner for having people working so diligently. You would think that they were on her permanent payroll the way they go out of their way to accommodate and make everything convenient for the customer. Thank you

I want to give a shout out to Richard Ngyuen for exceptional service. Drop off was quick and easy. At 10:15am, the parking lot was packed to the brim even with stacked parking. There were only 4 more spots left. I made an appointment online for a recall for my car and it took about 2 hours to update the software. Of course dealerships would charge a premium for maintenance but at least this place has great service. Everyone is really friendly. So I would come here for Toyota SPECIFIC maintenance/repair or recalls (such as the hybrid system). Other than that I would go somewhere else.
I was hesitant to go to dealer services because Ive had bad experiences with other locations in the past, including pressure for unnecessary services.The San Francsisco Toyota Service Center on Geary earned our business when they very professionally addressed an insurance claim to replace a stolen catalytic converter on our 2007 Prius. This included installing a shield to reduce risk of future theft. The service for the whole experience was outstanding.The shop earned our trust this week when they completed an oil change and safety inspection. Their inspection caught a worn drive belt as well as grease that was leaking from ball joints. While no one wants to have to an expensive repair, it wasnt surprising given the age and wear on the car. Their mechanics spent hours bleeding rust from the joints, confirming that it was the right choice, saving us from a potentially catastrophic failure.I compared their prices on parts and labor to other shops, and my estimates indicate that they offer solid value for hard parts and labor, especially when you factor in the cost of labor in SF. I would very easily recommend them to a friend or family member.Also, their pandemic best practices are on point. Every employee had a mask and distanced appropriately. Plexi barriers and hand sanitizer were available at check in stations.Quick note to the manager: the surgical masks for COVID are not sufficient for the horrible air quality we experienced. With an open air shop, you need to provide your employees with proper PPE. The air quality required N95 masks for long-term exposure during Unhealthy and Hazardous days. Youre doing everything else so well, please make sure to address this oversight.

I had my scheduled maintained today and saw something strange on my screen. I showed them and they said it was fine. I leftI came home and couldnt connect my ipad via Bluetooth and my screen wasnt working I called them and explained What was happening . They said I should come by and they would fix it. I went back and they said I should come back tomorrow. This is irritating. If they said on the phone that I should come back tomorrow I would come back tomorrow.

Im not a fan of any dealerships but this place is amazing (service department). They are always so nice and helpful, and its a breeze to deal with them. They would pointed out any problems with your car, but are not pushy at all to get it done the same day. Customer service is good, at least the 2 guys Ive interacted with.

They deserve 5 stars for the service, but they deserve 1 star for the pricing. In hindsight they probably give such great service because they never stop texting and emailing you until youve completed their customer experience survey and they need good marks. Anyway, Ive come here several times now for a couple of routine maintenance check up, an oil change, two flat tires (different appointments) and theyre so nice and communicative about what theyre doing, when itll be ready, etc. Its easy to book an appointment online. They have a comfortable waiting room with free coffee and tea. Whatever. Pricing for maintenance is out of control. I got another flat tire recently (like how many more flat tires am I going to get?) and the AAA guy that came out to help with putting my spare on my car asked me where I was going to go to get this repaired. I told him, and he highly suggested against it. He told me to go literally anywhere else that had nothing to do with a dealership and they wouldnt scam me into more work, extra appointments, and would charge me half the cost as Toyota. Needless to say he was absolutely right and it took way less time.

She’s gone above and beyond multiple times to make sure I’m happy with the service on my Tacoma.She’s available via phone and text (super convenient), and always highly responsive to any need. Had my car served there yesterday. Added fake service charges to my order, after specifically requiring certain service be carried out.Been taking my car there since it was purchased ~6 years ago. Theyve lost a customer permanently from me. What a shame. Skimming $20 here and there from me and theyve likely lost thousands as a customer forever.
SF Toyota made a service visit easy and quick. This isnt the first time thats happened. As usual, their techs are easy with whom to talk and they tell whats about to happen with the car, and then it actually happens! In fact, on this visit, I was in and out of their store under an hour when originally told it would take two hours. Nice! Tani (my service provider) was excellent in all respects. The work on my 14 Avalon was completed properly as has always been the case here.

This was for me an unexpectedly pleasant experience in buying a used car last weekend.I arranged by phone with Sales Consultant Ryan Dong to evaluate a couple of cars I was considering for purchase that I found on-line. When I left home Saturday morning, I did not expect to actually purchase the car that day. Frankly, I was not looking forward to dealing with a dealership and had preferred to purchase from a private party. But I had been unable to find the car I wanted and so resigned myself to what I feared would be a high pressure and potentially deceptive sales pitch.I was pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite. Ryan was helpful, well informed, and low key. He listened to what I wanted and tried to be helpful. I didnt buy the car I came to see but instead another of the same make, model and year but with fewer miles and Toyota certification. It cost more but he provided sufficient information to convince me that it was worth extra money. I never felt any pressure to make a hurried decision or to make an impulse purchase.I am delighted with the car and with the sales experience and commend Ryan for his professionalism and assistance. His business card says he is a Sales Consultant. "Consultant" is an apt description.
Do not go to this place when it is busy (before big vacations like Thanksgiving) . I believe they did their best but they just missed the mark. I send the car for mandatory recall on Monday before the Thanksgiving. They need to reset the computer so they remove the positive side of the battery. However they didnt tighten it back property so it was loosened at some point on the way home. I was unable to start my car the next day until I open the hood and spotted the loosed terminal. Small hiccup but definitely a reminder of a work-overloaded workshop isnt the workshop to go.
Bringing our car in for service was extremely pleasant. The car was serviced quickly, my wife and I declared afterward that it was as pleasant as Sunday morning breakfast at home. We have brought our car in for regular service before, and interestingly enough, we enjoy our pleasant wait and look forward to the next service appointment. Not to overlook the extremely effective use SF Toyota makes of the tech services involved in scheduling and creating an effective communications system. I often rail at poorly planned interactions with modern facilities by observing this system was designed by C- students. Toyotas interface was designed my high level AA+ students and is manned and supported by highly skilled professionals. All first class.

This was my wifes second visit to get a recommended service on our 2009 Yaris. She was very happy with the service staff. SF Toyota Natalie provided excellent communication about what service would be completed and how long it should take. The service was completed on time and my wife was impressed with the service and courtesy at this 4099 Geary location. Previously, I took the car to the recommended service appointments for over 6 years and all of my visits were excellent or very good. The service representatives provided details about the service and any other items found during the inspection. I recommend this location for a great service experience.
Woke up Saturday morning and discovered I had a flat tire !;( AAA came very quickly to swap it for the spare tire, then I drove right on over to Toyota to have the tire replaced. They didnt bat an eyelash, even though I had no appointment, but I explained that I really needed my car for work that day. I was in and out of Toyota in under an hour and on my way to work with a brand new tire! Really great and speedy customer service. Plus, as always, I really appreciate their attention to detail, the coffee/tea and lounge area while waiting for service to be complete, and the incredibly friendly and prompt service. Thank you!!

Online booking is very convenient. Pre-appointment phone call reminder was helpful. I had no wait when I arrived and was taken care of right away. I was in and out within 10 minutes, leaving my van behind. I received a follow up call about the service and the price charged was the price quoted. Excellent service. The car wash service was really convenient as well. Now I have a well-serviced and shiny van. Well done.
I bought online though USAA - the process was easy and quick. Sam was our salesperson; he was extremely responsive, very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and made sure that we knew the ins-and-outs of the vehicle before leaving. There was no hard up-sell on any additional features, no haggling, and no pressure of any kind. They respected the fact that I knew what I wanted. The entire process took less than 90 minutes, of which probably 30 minutes was spent inspecting and learning about the car. I bought my first car in 1984, this was hands down the most pleasant car buying experience Ive ever had. I would definitely recommend them, and will definitely consider them first in the future even though they arent the closest dealer to me in the South Bay.
We live in the East Bay but drove to SF because they offered us the best price on the car we wanted (also spoke/emailed Oakland, Marin, and Richmond). When we arrived we met with Chris Brunson. He was very friendly, extremely professional and courteous. He took us on a test drive and answered all questions. Even though we knew we were ready to purchase, we never felt any pressure to buy at all. Chris has continued to contact us to make sure we are still happy (which we are!) and we would not hesitate to recommend him.

We were in the market for a Sienna and looking for a specific model and he was able to track it down within the day. He gave us a very fair quote off the bat so we didnt have to go back and forth w/ price negotiations which was nice for a change. Hes very punctual w/ phone/email correspondence and follow ups even after you take home the car. We were very pleased with our purchase and working w/ someone w/ friendly disposition was a nice bonus. We would definitely recommend Ryan to our friends should they be in a market for a Toyota.
My experience of shopping at SF Toyota, working with Ryan Dong, and making a decision to buy a 2012 Toyota Camry was pleasant and positive from start to finish. I never felt pressured and was treated respectfully throughout my visits and endless questions to both Ryan and Jayson. I recommend both of these salesmen and SF Toyota to anyone shopping for a car. Initially I went looking for a good used car but after some information gathering and discussions with Ryan, I saw the value of a new car purchase. Its my first new car EVER and I just love it.

Both pillar sides have this 15mm plastic sticking out. This is a recall regarding side air bags. If this is the type of quality Toyota does, I just hope the air bags work for the millions of other cars they performed the recall work. And the pillar cover was misaligned which I had to push together properly. But they took the car in out very quick and professionally (5 star), I went through four employees and they were all very polite and professional (5 star). And finished the two hour job on time (5 star).

I LOVE this place! Once again, Mike Kandola (AKA Superman) and his team hit it out of the park with their great service. I live in the East Bay but drive all the way over to this dealership for service because it just doesnt get any better than this. (Addendum to this review, recent visit April 3, 2015:) Once again, these guys ROCK. I had a major amount of work done that took all day, replaced water pump, repairs cracked in oil tank, etc. and they kept me informed of the progress and did a great job. They are just wonderful to deal with and I continue--and will always continue--to come back.
A very nice experience. Sabrina coordinated a time for the car to be brought to my house for a test drive so my wife who is pregnant could also see and drive the car. The negotiations were smooth and I was given a thorough Prius tutorial and full tank of gas. I couldnt be happier.
I’ve been coming here for years and usually work with Tony Wang or Geoff B. They’ve been extremely helpful and friendly and they make sure I get what I need done on my 2007 Prius and stay within my budget.More recently, my catalytic converter got stolen and I had no idea what to do or even where to begin. I called the shop and Tony walked me through everything and went above and beyond to help me through the process. Since I live nearby the shop, one of the workers came to my apartment to pick my car up and drive it back to the shop for me. My insurance company (Anchor General - I do NOT recommend this insurance company) was just god awful and difficult to work with but Tony took care of everything and was on top of it all. Getting my car vandalized was awful, but Tony made it as great of an experience as it could be, I really appreciated his hard work and commitment to helping me get my car fixed and evaluated. He even dealt with my awful insurance company for me and took care of the lyft costs.I always bring my car here when its time for maintenance or if it needs work done because I trust the people who work here and since it’s tied to the dealership I don’t need to worry about them messing something up and then needing more work done to fix someone else’s screw ups (which I’ve seen happen repeatedly to my friends when they were trying to save money. It’s just basic “penny wise, pound foolish” attitude).I find it very convenient to just drop my car off for an appointment in the morning, then they’ll order me a lyft so I can go to work, then they text me when it’s ready and they’ll call me another lyft after I’m done with work so I can pick my car back up at the end of the day. No fuss, no stress, and good communication. Plus, they usually try to give me a bit of a discount when they can since they’re awesome.
Every time I have problem, they come up with solution . Affordable and fast service. Thank you!

I have been a repeat customer of the Toyota Service Department for many years, and have been very pleased with my experience there - in particular with Eric Durazo. I was driving a Sienna van for 10 years, and our family had literally driven the van into the ground. I was in a rush to replace my dead/dying vehicle and immediately got in touch with Ryan Askew to see what kind of deal he could offer me for a trade-in on my old road warrior, as well as a hurry-up deal on a new Highlander. Within two hours, I had test-driven a Highlander, negotiated a very good deal, and was extremely satisfied and happy with the whole process! Im not the kind of person who considers car shopping and buying fun, but my experience with everyone at San Francisco Toyota made my experience pleasant and profitable.

This is what happened today:I drove a Lexus but my car had a flat tire, then I was trying to replace my back up tire by myself, but I cannot find the tire lock key, I made a call to Lexus, they told me I have to be there for matches the lock key with my tire nut, I come to realize I was just two blocks away from Toyota, you know that both brands actually come from the same source, so I asked Lexus, does Toyota ‘s lock key match with my tire, they said yes, that’s why I’ve been there.At the beginning a guy comes to me, I let him know what happened and how can he helps me, I said if you have a lock key and nut I need, I could buy these then I’m gonna go replace my tire by myself (Reason 1: I know how to do that, it is easy and won’t take too long, if I let them do, I have to wait in line . Reason 2: absolutely if you know what you want and what you need to do, you don’t want to spend unnecessary money.)That guy tried a lock key and fortunately it works . I said thanks and try to ask them to buy a lock key, but he was going to be busy with others and tell me I have to leave Toyota. Fine, I could go somewhere then finish my tire change then come back soon .Pay attention: then after I came back, something you never know, it just happened. I said I appreciate your help,but I got two bad nut, I don’t feel safe if I use it, if it is possible to get some new nut from Toyota, then they showed me to parts store, I paid for my nut then come back, ask them could you help me lock it up, right this time, the most important thing comes out, there was a guy his namesTony Wong, he said “hey why you still here, you have to go”, what’s that mean ?then I told him I just bought it and hopefully you guys could give me a hand . He said “oh you didn’t buy a lock key, if you don’t buy a lock key that means we don’t have responsibility for helping you lock it up” . Wow, I was shocked but I said “ you’re right, but I bought these nut right? These are what I bought here, so could you help me just lock nut up? Leave that locker alone, only nut “ he is so mean and answered “ well if you just wanna lock nut up you don’t need our helps, just like what you did with your tire replaced, you can do it by yourself”. I said “ wow you’re so smart you are doing a great job” before I said that, he even had not see me one more second he just turned around .THAT IS THE MOST FANTASTIC SERVICE I NEVER HEARD IN AMERICA, ESPECIALLY AS A CUSTOMER.I don’t think it is a good experience for me, so I just post it here, I’m sad, I’m sad now, I’m sad to see a person he works at a service team but he is being a service animal, I’m not a Toyota owner but as he means if you spend money on it they can give a help, that really really make me feel bad. I’m sad but I’m happy for that he just can be a person works for after-sales service, if he was Toyota’s CEO, I guarantee Toyota would not be earth for long, it is going to disappear in the end of this year .
We came to San Francisco from the Central Valley to purchase a new Toyota. Everyone at the dealership treated us like family. We met Melissa Chiu in the showroom and she went with us test driving two different models, explaining all about each car. She was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We decided on the 2013 Toyota Camry SE, but they didnt have the color we wanted. No problem! Gil Wever got on the phone and located just what we wanted from another dealer. We went to lunch and when we returned the new car was on the lot and we got the paperwork done. We decided we wanted a couple of accessories added and Melissa arranged to get them installed the next day. We returned two days later on Bart and Byron Wong picked us up at the Bart station and whisked us to the dealership. Our car was all ready for us and we headed home very pleased. An excellent experience! It couldnt have been better!

After two years of trying to convince my wife that a Sienna would be the best next vehicle for our family, we ended up having a third kid and thus ended up at our neighborhood Toyota dealer.This wasnt by coincidence though - we looked extensively online at dealerships throughout the state and found that SF Toyota had consistent positive reviews on service and price so we thought why not go local.I called in and made my first introduction to Andre Norman Jr. A very knowledgeable and responsive guy who accommodated our crazy new schedule. We scheduled our test drive which was so thorough that we even got a chance to see if the Sienna would fit into our garage (it does :). Andre walked my wife through pretty much every detail on the car as she needed some final convincing and sure enough Toyota has thought of just about everything a family could need.We ended up mulling the deal over a long weekend and pretty much handled all of our negotiations via text messages which lessened any of the tension that can happen between sales and buyer. The deal that we landed on equaled any other that we were able to find across the state making us glad that we did decide to go local with our business.At every step of the way Andre was thorough in his response and quick to reply. Tommy saved my weekend from disaster! I was packing up my car for an out of town road trip and the car wouldnt start! I had never had this happen before and I was in a panic with just 2 hours before my window closed to leave town. Tommy got my car checked and the battery replaced within two hours. I will forever be loyal to Toyota after this amazing service and rescue!
Brought my Mobility XLE Sienna for service and the staff at SF Toyota Service Dept & Rental (Mike, Tommy, Mason & Lawrence) hands down the best people to work with. They kept me up to date on the repairs. I thought I needed break work done but they informed me I was good until my next visit saving me money. I had a great experience purchasing my first car at San Francisco Toyota. Tani Tritasavit was very personable and cared about finding the right car for me. He identified exactly what I was looking for to replace my old one, which led me to buy a level 2 Prius C. I am very happy with its excellent mileage, size for parking and the price that we got it for. The overall experience was very stress-free and efficient. I actually look forward to service appointments and meeting with the staff again in the future!
Bad service. 3 people gave me the run around about when the car would be done. The little that they told me about the work they had done I quickly realized wasnt true from a YouTube search. Going to have the work done somewhere else. Wont be back.
I worked with a few different people but mostly Kanish Lal, and the whole experience at SF Toyota was easy and positive. Felt like I was getting a great deal, with very good customer service. The team stayed late and worked quickly to accommodate my schedule, were very friendly and professional, but best of all I got the best deal compared with other dealers in the Bay Area on my car. They made it very easy to go home happy.

I was in the market for a new Prius C, and had contact various Bay Area dealers via email. Melissa wrote me back right away, and then again was first in responding to my questions. When I went in to test drive the car, Melissa was not there, but Tani took care of me. He was very professional and was very no pressure. He helped me get a great price and also did not charge me extra when the the color i wanted wasnt in stock and they had to drive it from the North Bay. Other dealers I was communicating with were giving me higher prices for getting the habanero color I really wanted, vs. what they had in stock. Overall an awesome experience. I got the exact car I wanted, I felt respected and in a friendly environment and I feel like I got a great price. You can beat that! oh, and when i couldnt get a ride from my friend at the time I was expecting to get over there to pick up the car, Tani came right away to pick me up!
Kudos to Larry Lim who assisted us in buying our new Prius 3. We felt that we drove the buying process (no pun intended) and that the information Larry provided us on our first visit facilitated a better financial outcome for us. Hes been available post-purchase to assist us in learning about our new car, with which we are THRILLED.
Not to be disappointed, purchasing our third vehicle from SF Toyota couldnt have been any more trouble free! William Lui treated us with the same focused concern he has shown in the past. Even with our indecision on what vehicle to purchase this time, William ran the numbers for them using two model years and various options. We were treated to touring the off site warehouse to locate a proposed vehicle and to our delight we found one that exceeded our expectation. A quick vehicle prep and a fast paperwork handled by Milly Hu, we were on our way home that afternoon. Thank you SF Toyota for the courtesy and patience that makes us return.

My service appointments have always gone well. People are courteous and professional. There has only been one problem that has not been effectively addressed, and that is the speaker system. It has never performed adequately when the radio is in operation, and they have found nothing. If they could fix that problem, it would be 5 stars.

Ive purchased two vehicles in the last year at SF Toyota, and have had exceptional experiences both times. This last purchase was a 2013 Rav4. We went in and discussed what we were looking for with salesperson Larry Lim and he indicated he could get a couple vehicles that fit our descriptions in for us to test drive. We went back in a couple days and he had the vehicles there ready for us to examine. We test drove and decided upon which one we wanted. Larry got the vehicle prepped and ready for us to pick up the next morning, as well as having the paperwork ready to go then too. He spent an hour going over the vehicle accessories with us before we drove it home. Larry was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We were extremely pleased.
Stephen Prasompetch made our purchasing a new car (Prius) the least stressful car purchase weve ever made. He listened to our needs, suggested things to think about and when it came to making a decision, he didnt pressure us one way or the other. He was very knowledgeable about the various vehicles. We wanted a specific color and this dealer went out of their way to ensure us that we had that color of car!Their facilities reflected the high degree of professionalism this place represents.
