In the heart of the Mission district, beautiful location; the food is excellent. The oysters were so fresh, and their rectangular pizzas are delicious. For dessert, we tried the yogurt panna cotta - light yet so tasty! The ambience is perfect for a date.

This place stays on my list of go-to spots in SF. The wine is well-selected, the menu changes regularly but is consistently good, and the service is knowledgeable, charming, and on point. I love any place that plays records and theyre always spinning. The vibe overall is stylish and unpretentious. Could be the best place in SF for a date.

I will say now that I dont love wine, but my friends do so the five star rating is earned in part because of their wine selection. 20 Spot changes their menu frequently, but they always offer interesting dishes with a good mix of options for people of every dietary preference. The servers were very helpful in pairing wine with each dish and they were excellent according to the people in my group that had wine.I had the flatbread which was a vegetarian squash and caramelized onion flatbread style pizza. It was excellent. We ended with ricotta cheesecake with fig and it was very well balanced and delicious. The prices were pretty reasonable with the most expensive item being the $18. Although the portion sizes were a little smaller than you might expect for the price.

One time the owner saw my grateful dead t-shirt and immediately put on the record, American Beauty. That was awesome. I really like this place. Came here on a date once and have been here with friends several times. Sometimes quiet, sometimes lively, always a great vibe. This place is definitely cool.

Youll feel like youre in your kitschy (in a good way) friends living room while you lounge on mid century couches and sip nice wine. Food is also offered including local oysters and entrees thatll work great if youd like a full dinner. Great service, typically short wait for a table (by San Francisco standards anyway).

Trendy venue in a good location in the mission. The music wasnt too loud and the soda water is free. Drinks are comparable in price and quality to nearby establishments. I would definitely recommend it as a place to catch up with friends while enjoying the city life.

Cute spot in the Mission for a glass of wine or a romantic dinner before going out to the bars down the street. The servers/bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Theres not a good place to sit with a group over drinks, but we took over the couch area by the front of the place and it worked well for our group of four.

One of the neighborhoods gem, no reservation, but never long wait, shared table, and there is even a seating at the coffee table off the couch. Great selection on seasonal wine, menu changed often, but the devil egg are great. The service is lay back and on point, not a place you can afford to eat everyday, but it doesnt seem expensive in SF dinning scene, a glass of wine and a decent meal will set you back about $45.

Super cool place! Intimate, beautiful bar and good seating layout. We arrived early on a Monday evening and were able to snag the comfy couch. Consistently great music while we there (living up to record store history)Really well curated wine list by the glass - tried 5 or 6 and loved them all. Appreciated the inclusion of a couple of less well known varietals, such as a dry, fragrant Niellucciu which paired really well with food. The dishes we tried were good to excellent. Oysters were tasty and fresh, if a little on the plump side for raw. Sauteed beans in harissa sauce were fantastic - spicy and savory goodness. Fettuccine was also very good.Overall fantastic little wine bar - will definitely be returning soon to try some new additions to the wine list.

I love this bar!Super fun design, quirky and not swanky, which I really appreciated for a wine bar. Its super quaint and cute with a great list of wines and snacks. The food was delicious, and lots of amazing flavors delivered in lots of veggie dishes (meat dishes, too).A few apps (3-4) fed two medium hungry humans nicely, accompanied with wine.Friendly staff and very clean. I really enjoyed the slow jam music at the end of the night, throwback. Will definitely go back here!

This Mission corner hangout has an exquisitely curated decor with mid-century modern furnishings and indie rock shout-outs all over the walls. The wine list is excellent and the servers are knowledgeable about it. I only wish there were a few heartier options on the menu. Id love steak frites or sliders to dig into after a few glasses of wine.

Earlier this month, on a friends recommendation, I bought a gift certificate online from 20 Spot. They offer a convenient array of choices, including the option that they would mail the certificate directly to your person. Something slipped up (possibly my fault) and my person did not get her certificate by her birthday. When I contacted 20 Spot, Peter responded immediately by e-mail, then took the trouble of hand-delivering the certificate himself, and calling to let me know he had done so. Talk about value added: for the price of a birthday treat, we got the gift of discovering a shop with 1947 Cheval Blanc-grade customer service ideals.

I love this local Mission neighborhood spot. The space is great; toward the front it feels like a lounge but then there are communal tables along the walls and bar seating. The service was nice; the bartender answered all our questions about the wines they have (they change often apparently) and we also had burrata over salad and peppers. Its a great spot for a first date; ambience is nice and its not too divey or loud.

I dont like to leave bad reviews but this place was awful! We got one drink at the bar and then the bartenders ignored us for the rest of the time we were there...we sat there with empty glasses for like 45 minutes until we decided leave. And the funniest part of the entire experience was that while we were sitting there (at a very small bar with empty glasses) the 3 bartenders were pouring each other wine and drinking! Anyway, I wont be going back...it was just poor bar service on a very slow night.

Tucked away on the corner of 20th & Lexington, this old record store is a wine bar that also serves beer and small plates. There is a great mix of tables, ample places to sidle up to the bar or you can get comfy on one of the couches. The wait staff is super friendly and willing to give you more information about the wines or items on the menu when you are trying to decide. There was a wine flight offered when I was there for reds. I was hoping for more than one kind. I was there on a Tuesday and they offered a set menu for $20 of an appetizer, entree and dessert. I wanted to pick and choose so I went with the cheese plate with the intention of ordering something else since even ordering 4 different cheeses at most places will give you those tiny slivers of cheese with a few crostini pieces. Not here. It was amazing. Not only were the cheese portions substantial, the blue cheese had a drizzle of honey, there were almonds, apples, crostini, chutney and more. It was fantastic. I want to go back and try their other small plates, but itll be hard to avoid that cheese plate again. So good!
