My Mom and I traveled to San Francisco from Canada to try on wedding dresses. I absolutely loved shopping at Paris Connection! I contacted Marie through email ahead of time to find out if she had a few specific dresses from Lillian and she had them all. She always responded very quick and professional. Her shop had a great selection with the latest trends. I had a wonderful experience shopping here and highly recommend it to anyone on the hunt for their dream dress.Thank you Marie! xo
I reached out to Paris Connection on Saturday and she was able to give me an appointment for that Monday evening. I was late, but Marie was very helpful in accommodating my appointment, and was very clean and friendly (offered hand sanitizer). She was very honest about having limited availability, but since she is a platinum member with Justin Alexander, she could get dresses I wanted to try on! Her prices were VERY reasonable, and although I did not end up going with a Justin Alexander gown, visiting her and trying on dresses at Paris Connection helped solidify some details I wanted for my wedding dress. Maries selection of jewelry and veils was also wonderful, and because there is A LOT of natural lighting available in the room, the colors were well reflected (a lot of boutiques do not have so much lighting available). Marie also does alteration services and is very, very professional, with the honesty of a true French woman!
Got my dream wedding dress from here!
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED how Marie was so nice over the phone when I called looking for an appointment to try on wedding gowns. She asked me simple question on what I was looking for, when she knew she got right away to work. When I when in for my appointment she was super nice, and super professional. She helped me narrow down my search and gave me her personal professional option on what looked good on me and what didnt. Trying on the dresses was super fun because we chatted and laughed while I found the perfect dress. All of the dresses that were there were absolutely breathtaking beautiful! But once I tried on the one that Marie saved for the end I knew that it was the one. I ordered it right away! She also offered to help me in customizing my braids maids dresses too! Marie was absolutely wonderful and made my wedding dress shopping a wonderful experience and I couldnt be more grateful!
After an intense couple of weeks of dress shopping, I really enjoyed spending time with Marie at the Paris Connection Store. I felt listened to, and I appreciated that Marie wanted to help me find the right dress for me. When it came down to two models I liked, she recommended the less expensive one which was a better fit for my silhouette. The Paris Connection is a great boutique, and Marie will assist you with the perfect combo of listening and creativity. Definitely worth putting on your list!
Marie did the impossible for me: Working with me to get my dream dress that was within my budget, while also providing quick and excellent customer service during a global health crisis! A lot of things have been very uncertain lately but I know I will be able to walk down the aisle feeling amazing when the time comes. Thank you so much!
Marie was an absolute DELIGHT to work with! I got in touch because shes the exclusive SF retailer of Lillian West, a designer I absolutely adore. The specific style I wanted wasnt distributed to stores yet, and she went above and beyond to get a loaner from the designer for me to try on, rush delivery. Our communication back and forth was effortless, and we had a wonderful fitting, where I tried on the dress Id eyed as well as another beautiful option she picked for me after hearing what I was looking for. Highly recommend working with Paris Connection!
I had a wonderful experience with Marie. My Man-of-Honor was doing most of the correspondence to schedule my appointment and she was always responsive and professional. I ended up finding the dress at a shop before making my appointment at Paris Connection but honored our appointment to look at veils and accessories... thank goodness I did because thats where I found the perfect veil! The dress and accessory selection is vast and at a good price point.Marie is very knowledgeable and hilarious. I would definitely refer future brides to her
I am so happy I chose my dress at this shop! I went to SF to purchase wedding bands and decided to look for a dress while I was in town. I realized that I parked right in front of Paris Connection by chance, so thought I might as well just walk in to look around. Marie immediately assisted and helped me find the perfect wedding dress - not only the one I wanted, but also one that fit my body type. Since I am getting married so quickly, I had to cross my fingers and get a dress off the rack. The whole situation was just AMAZING! Perfect dress, perfect style, perfect fit with some minor alterations needed, and I only had to shop at one place. To top it off, I got a very nice discount on the dress since it was off the rack, even though she had just got the dress in and it had hardly even been tried on! My dress is a 10 out of 10, and it came back with alternations done and a perfect snug fit in time for my ceremony (less that 6 weeks notice for everything and I received the dress in about 3 weeks completely ready). On alterations be prepated to dish out a pretty penny, but the seamstress did a fantastic job!
She was selling a dress that I found online. I went to her store to try it on. It was a little too small and she made me a great offer in case I needed to get it altered. She showed me other styles I might like that she was willing to sell in my budget. It was a really nice experience and she was wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, I didnt end up getting my dress there.
I found Paris Connection online after searching for wedding dress shops in San Francisco and added it to my list of places to try on dresses with my family. When the day came, I went to several dress shops and was extremely unsuccessful before arriving at Paris Connection, and I can’t tell you what a relief it was finding a boutique store and owner like Marie. The hug she gave me, my mom and my sister immediately made us feel right at home. Right off the bat, I noticed that there was only one fitting room, and that I had the entire shop to myself. For the first time that day, after several other poor wedding dress shop experiences prior, I actually felt important and special, like a bride should when trying on the most important dress she will ever buy. When we told her what I was looking for, she grabbed every single dress she could think of that even remotely fit the description and put it in the fitting room. I never felt like I was in a time slot, that I could only try on so many dresses, that I would make her feel bad if I didn’t like it, etc. because Marie felt like family from the moment we walked into her shop. After I knew I found the dress I wanted to buy but felt to anxious about committing, she let us put the dress on hold with a deposit, one that if we didn’t end up buying the dress could be used towards anything in her shop (jewelry, veils, petticoats etc.) so I never felt pressured. Less than a week later, I showed up at her store after hours on special request so I could try it on again. Not only did Marie stay late for me, she let me try the dress on and hang out in it until I finally bit the bullet and bought it. After the purchase, Marie kept me in the loop about the delivery of my dress constantly. When it arrived, she was extremely flexible in scheduling all of my alteration appointments. Every Time I knew I would get to go into Paris Connection I was absolutely elated, and not just because I was going to try my dress on but because I would get to hang out with Marie. She is fabulous, her collection is gorgeous, and I felt like the most beautiful girl in the world on my wedding day in her dress!
Go anywhere else. Worst customer service I have experienced. Marie (the owner) was rude, condescending, and overall a horrible experience. I would give zero stars if I could. She continuously interrupted my bride when she tried to explain what she wanted, didn’t listen at all, told us this wasn’t the store for us, and overall uncomfortable and horrible experience.I am frustrated with her behavior. We were polite and kind, only met with rude remarks and bad behavior. I cannot emphasize enough: PLEASE DONT SHOP HERE.
Mary is a delight! She definitely knows her stuff. I tried on tons of dresses. She picked a dress for me too try on that I would not have picked myself, and now Im getting married in that dress! Mary was so kind, patient, and wonderful! Im so happy!
Marie is amazing. Honest direct and straight forward. I highly recommend this shop. She has made my up coming day even more special!
Marie is probably the most disrespectful owner that I’ve talked to. Trust me you don’t need such crappy experience while looking for your wedding gown. There’s plenty of other better bridal boutiques who will also treat you nice or at least decent!
Called this place to make an appointment and the lady I spoke to, might be the owner, was very disrespectful, asking me if I will have my wedding on the beach or in a castle etc. before she even asked what kind of dress I was even looking for. Who even asks that?!? I guess unless you are ready to pay an arm and a leg for your dress, then they will make you feel like you are not worthy of their store and talk to you from a ‘imaginary’ superior level. No thank you!
I ordered a custom veil with Marie and she was amazing. I heard about her through another friend who also ordered her custom veil through Marie and was very happy she did. I fell in love with a veil at the bridal salon where I bought my dress which was $580. There was no way that I was going to pay that much for a veil, so I called Marie. I sent her a picture of the veil I was trying to recreate and she knew exactly what I wanted. She stayed late to meet wth me and have me try out some of the veils she had in her store. She assures me that she would be able to provide me with an exact thing I was looking for, and she did. A week and $200 later my custom ordered circle cut cathedral veil with a satin edge. Thank you Marie for going out of your way to make my wedding veils come true!
Paris Connection is a wonderful place to get your bridal gown. Marie, who is the owner, is an excellent person to help you find your perfect dress. She is honest and really cares about her clients. She has lovely accessories as well. Her seamstress, Ludmilla, is the very best. Her alterations are perfection. She knows exactly what is needed and she creates the adjustments beautifully. They are a caring, wonderful team and you would be in good hands at Paris Connection, Marie and Ludmilla.
This store has really unique and beautiful dresses at reasonable prices. One of the things I Iike most about the store is the owner, Marie. Shes an older french lady, and she gives it to you straight. If she thinks you look good in something, shell tell you. Conversely, if she thinks you dont, shell tell you that too (regardless if its her own merchandise that youre wearing). If youre shopping for wedding dresses, this is something thats incredibly important...so many people will just tell you what they think you want to hear, and then youre left wondering whether it really does look good. Marie is also very easy to reach at any time of the day. She is easy and enjoyable to work with. Her alterations person is a little pricey but amazing - (I plan to take some of my coats and other items to her to alter as well). I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a unique wedding dress.Addition (9/14/19) I saw the work by the alterations lady (Mila) for my rehearsal dress. The work is incredible. The incorrect size was ordered initially so she needed to remove the train, take in the sides, add padded cups and lower and re-shape the neckline. Its stunning. Im thrilled with her work and I will absolutely take all my items to her from now on.
If your looking for your dream dress I would highly recommend Paris Connection Bridal. I wanted and made it happen ! I got to walk down the aisle in my dream dress thanks to Pascale, and thanks to Paris Connection Bridal.
I really the place. And Marie is one of kind, I saw her how she takes care of every customer. Very respectful and sophisticated. Higly recommended!
Where do I start. Marie Gaudin-Rozeville is a Fairy Godmother in the 21st century. My story starts on Pinterest. I did what they tell all brides not to do, and that’s fall in love with a dress on Pinterest. After a month of working to track one down, I inquired to the design team of Justin Alexander and was told the dress of my dreams was discontinued. Distraught, they referred me to a few retailers, and all but one of them wouldn’t work with me. After hearing my tale over the phone, Marie miraculously found the last one, and graciously agreed to work with me. Through the last couple of months of finding this dress and organizing a trip to come and try it on, Marie has been nothing less than accommodating and cordial.Once at her shop, her and her seamstress, Ludamila, worked with me to make this perfect dress into a reality. 5 stars is not enough to recommend for Paris Connection Bridal and Marie. Her customer first approach ensures that every bride leaves incandescently happy and her commitment to finding every bride their perfect dress is unparalleled. You should look no further for your bridal gown. Marie will take care of you and help make your big day as perfect as can be. She is the best!
I purchased a sample dress through Marie and Paris Connection last week, through the preownedweddingdresses website. She was responsive and professional throughout the buying process.Once I received the dress, it didnt fit (not even close) even though my measurements (taken by a professional seamstress) and her posted measurements were the same. It must be a dress style/body type incompatibility issue, which was surprising for me since I had tried on so many dresses at local shops and knew this dress size and style should have fit. I did this pre-buying legwork so I was adequately prepared to buy online, so I could avoid this very situation for both the business and myself. Before contacting Marie, I had a professional seamstress look at the dress to see if there was any way it could work, and she confirmed there wasnt without taking it apart and drastically changing it.I didnt know what Maries return policy was at the time (Later she told me it was on the ad for the dress, but I dont remember seeing it and she did not mention it throughout the buying process). Regardless, I thought if I shared my situation, explained that this was some weird thing where it just didnt work despite doing all the homework and that I was in this crazy tight timeframe, she would be understanding. And so I did. I talked to her on the phone for half an hour, most of that feeling like I was talking to a domineering, all-business person who wasnt really hearing me. She would continually talk over me, at times saying she wanted to help me, but refusing under any condition to take the dress back. I offered to pay her $100 for any inconvenience as well as refund the $20 for her shipping and send it back in the exact same condition and packaging (all this within a week of ordering it). I explained to her that my wedding dress budget was now tied up in dress that didnt fit and I only had weeks to the wedding, so not enough time for me to sell it and buy another. So now, no dress and no money to buy a second dress. Her response to my situation and my offer with the return was repeatedly: Absolutely not. She offered to exchange (I had started here asking if she had that dress in a size up that I could exchange with?) and she offered dresses that were $3-500 or more in cost (which I couldnt afford) or a couple dresses that were totally different in style (which wouldnt work with my situation-- I was going to ride a horse). She offered to email the designer to see if there was lace I could buy for the now needed drastic and expensive modifications (if they were even possible), but that was the extent of it. There was nothing I could offer or say to change her mind.Maries willingness to exchange the dress was appreciated, but it wasnt for the same product/dress or price point, so it felt like an empty gesture. I understand that stores have no return policies so they can stay in business, but as someone who has grown up in a small family business and continues to be a part of one, I feel that rules should help guide the overall operations of a business but at the end of the day, people should be treated like people and sometimes situations should be responded to dynamically.Considering the sensitive nature of the wedding business-- these customers are in a stressful and special time in their lives--it seems reasonable to assume that these business owners would be more understanding. Additionally, this was an online transaction, and buying sight unseen means there are other variables that should be accounted for in store policies. In my opinion, good businesses, especially small, locally-owned ones, should have more heart and when appropriate, flexibility, when dealing with customers. Its what makes them special, what makes us want to support them. In this buying experience, I felt like I was just treated as a source of profit. We have enough strong-arming, cold-hearted businesses/corporations in our lives.
Well..... What can I say, my Fiancée has been looking at the perfect dress for our wedding later this year and came across Paris Connection Bridal online, as they are a stockist for the particular dress she wants. Living in the UK with sometimes extortionate prices, we decided to look into sending some of our custom across the pond to the good old US of A. After-all, the customer service is USUALLY much better than we receive here in the UK and generally this is the country in which we happily spend most of our disposable income, for this exact reason.Well... I wanted to share our experience with the whole World and what better medium to use than Google! Thanks Google for this fantastic Opportunity. My better half had been communicating for a few days concerning the dress she was looking at with Marie (what a charming lady she is - thats sarcasm by the way - something we Brits are great at).Having ironed out some of the finer details with Marie via email over the last couple of days, my Fiancée thought she was building a relationship with the above and had views on ordering the dress over the phone for her to collect in person in a few months time. Unfortunately, she had been unable to respond for the last day or so due to work commitments and a family emergency. You can imagine how she felt, when to her dismay, the following email came blasting across the USA and Atlantic faster than Concorde could of in its day (this is verbatim by the way):Would you be bothered if I never acknowledged your requests and never answered your questions ?What was your purpose ? Anyway i do not appreciate being used and taken advantage ofIt is rude and disrespectfulAll you could have said is thank you for your time but I no longer am interestedMarieSo.... Let this be a warning to you girls out there that are considering this shop as your place of purchase for your big day. Do you really want to deal with people like this. The mistake Marie has made here is assuming that she was being ignored. We are honourable people, just like most Brits. We are not time-wasters and feel somewhat upset and let down. Fortunately we Love the USA, youre a great nation with great people, however one or two bad eggs like this let the side down. It happens everywhere, but I couldnt let it ride without sharing. Beware.
