Camera Heaven prints is the best service youll find in the Bay Area for super high quality custom photographic printing. I have never been disappointed by their work. In fact, I am regularly amazed how wonderful my work looks. They offer a wide variety of archival papers and canvas designed to provide the very highest quality across a variety of finishes and textures: perfect for fine art and commercial applications.
Only place I know in town that was willing to clean the sensor on my digital point-and-shoot so that I stopped getting funky spots on all my pictures. Reasonably priced; certainly cheaper than buying a new camera. Quick turnaround (and kudos to the employee at Gasser who told me we cant fix it for you, but try Camera Heaven)
This guy was great. It took only a couple mins to print the photos out. He let me look at the photo to see if I liked it. I think this place is awesome and I hope more people support a small local place rather than go to a big chain
Love this place, its easy to get to and the people are chill. I come all the way from Oakland to get my prints because they have better prices than most of the labs out in Oakland/Berkeley. It would be cool if they gave classes or something.
David is a true camera dude. He can fix anything and hes fairly priced and honest.Im happy to support him over all the (sometimes) cheaper online choices. Hes got serious costs to running a storefront biz.Support your local small businesses folks, or lose em!
Went in to buy a camera charger one hour before traveling overseas. Found out they only do repairs. I left. Owner comes out running after me to let me know he found a used one he would sell to me cheap. Said he felt bad for me as I was leaving on a trip of a lifetime with no camera charger. Awesome! Thank you!
So my quick story: I tried to find a photo store and most of the stores have either closed or will be closing soon. So I rushed down to Market St. and SUDDENLY, Camera Heave appeared on my phone and I literally ran to the shop. Opened it and the kind man asked if I needed assistance. I asked where the films are and he showed me the way!
A great find! Cracked my outer protective lens while here on vacation and they fixed it up quickly! Also they are VERY reasonably priced.
My Nikon stopped working, so I took it in to Camera Heaven. The owner looked at it and immediately diagnosed the problem – a broken shutter. He named a price, I agreed, and the next day I came back to a perfectly working camera. Super quick and easy, and friendly service to boot. Would definitely come back!
Nice and simple. Honest, decent guy will help you with all your camera needs for a fair price. He has all sorts of used but working lenses. Totally recommend it.
The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful to me. I have now created a new place in my networking entourage. The rare finds in here make it a diamond in the rough.
A great old-timey camera repair store. The owner knows his stuff and offers fast service at decent prices. It sure beats sending your camera off to some far away location, and risking damage or loss in-transit, and not knowing who will be working on your camera, plus having your camera gone for weeks.
Honest helpful advice on mending two cameras. Knows what he is doing, and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt want. Support your local independent trader!
Mixed feelings about this guy- brought my canon 5D3 in and he took forever to get it fixed- an estimated 2 weeks turned into something crazy like more than 6 months!Water damage was the culprit. He finally said the repair was beyond his scope of expertise but he said he could send the camera out to someone in Chicago that specialized in the type of repair I needed to have done. I agreed and luckily that shop had their stuff together and finished in a timely manner-There were still a few things to do on my camera when it was back from Chicago. Since he knew I’d been waiting for damn near ever, he said I could come pick it up and bring it back next week when those parts we were waiting for came in... I said “sure!”, knowing I’d never step foot in that shop again to hand over my camera, or for any reason really... sometimes we’d drive by and he’d be leaning against the wall near the entrance to his business, just staring off into nothingness or seemingly people watching, like he didn’t have a task in the world that needed tending. How he managed to get so many good reviews astonishes me, although to his credit he did get me my camera back in working order. It just took nearly forever.
I reached him finally last week after a lot of back and forth (I gave him my camera in October, and its now almost the end of January), and he said the camera was almost ready and hed give me a call. Its been over a week and no call. I even gave him the option for me to call him, but he said he would call me.His shop is messy and disorganized, he doesnt have voicemail, and overall Im incredibly unhappy with my experience. I know my camera had a motherboard problem and those things take time, but its not unreasonable to answer a phone to get back to a customer on their belongings status. To boot, now when I search the business on Google, it says its permanently closed. What?
In spite of moving he knew exactly where the things I wanted were. Good prices, good service! Glad I found this store
When i left my sony gm 1.4 for repairAccording to him it going to be 1month for repairBut amost 3month also never answered phoneThats make me crazy !! I have to call again what happened my lenz. Be aware!!
Fast, friendly, and knows his stuff. Great hidden little gem!
Honest and personable. Great experience at this neighborhood business.
Great store, just what I was looking for, lots and lots of old lenses, great for setting up a dslr gear for video. David was nice and helpfull. I hope I can travell again to SF so I can buy more stuff from him.
They gave me great advice and have fair prices.
This place looks like a hot-bed of stolen goods. Ive watched street walkers come in and sell the owner stolen merchandise and trade counterfeit bills. Very sketchy and extremely unprofessional. Buyers beware.
Kick people out! What a nice owner!
He fixed my camera in 12 hours before my vacation. Good price, great service!
Sold me used canon battery that doesnt even hold charge. . . i asked for two used canon batteries and one was a knockoff i was in such a hurry i didnt notice. anyways it doesnt even work.
My camera is fixed and I can go to vacation. Thanks
Is it just me or has it closed down? Walked by it today and the signs arent there no more
Very friendly service!
A very nice selection of vintage gear, but a bit unorganized. I think they were in the process of moving out.
Great guy, good prices
Friendly staff!
Friendly and professional
Ghetto location - ghetto store.

Camera heaven? The store is more the camera hell. When you enter the shop, the chaos and bad smell are immediately noticeable. Cardboard boxes, camera things and junk are everywhere. Used cameras and lenses are in two small showcases. The bodies are lying around wildly between the objects that are also protected without a cover. Everything is dirty and dusty. For this, the unmotivated seller for decayed goods demands more than the original price in the specialist trade. Cant recommend the shop at all. 😕
