Great Experience!Private Social Club on the 10th floor, with great views into Jackson Square neighborhood and the TransAmerica Building. The Whiskey Corner was quite a treat. Staff made us feel at home. This interior was originally the corporate level for Bank of Italy, which became Bank of America. The best parts have been lovingly maintained, but a new spin added to contemporize the longue area. Must Join! Must Go!
Receptionists are extremely rude to your guests, Don’t ever become a member! Worst club!
Sexy, swanky and sophisticated ...this is private upscale man cave! Adorned with smoking jackets and neck ties.As soon as I got off the elevator I was greeted by a gentlemen that checked me in. You have to be invited by a member to enter.Theres a main bar surrounded by cozy couches in an intimate setting. I immediately had my favorite glass of Pinot and billionaire bacon. Thick chunks of bacon cooked to perfection. To die for! I followed up with the cheeseconnoisseur for a lovely plate of figs, salami and assorted cheeses. They also serve dinner after 6pm.I took a quick tour of the designer rooms they had for parties or meetings. Each one had a different theme. My two favorite, the velvet room and the wine cellar. Both excellent for a celebration!I didnt feel a creepy or pretentious vibe once so ever. Everyone was down to earth and friendly. There seemed to be quite of few business meetings happening.Their memberships are reasonable and for people out of the area that visit on occasion its even better.I left saying, why dont we have this for women! Hmmm...Take a tour!
As a member, Ive never had an issue getting a table, reserving a board room or having a good time in general. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly / knowledgeable staff, great whiskey collection and terrific food. If you live in and/or near San Francisco, I highly recommend becoming a member. Well worth it!
Apologies for the initial 1 star review, I must have accidentally left this review unknowingly while searching the venue. Ive been to Wingtip many times. The experience is fabulous. Great drinks and a laid-back atmosphere to enjoy a cigar.
Very good cigar lounge
Too bad that you need a membership or a friend to get you in. If you have the opportunity, do it! Great selection for whatever youre into. 30 year old single malt - no problem. Exotic cheese plate with blood oranges - absolutely. Service that wont let you (or your clients) down - standard.
This has to be my daily hangout place. Staff are so supper friendly. They make my guest feel welcome which makes me so easy to love them even more. I work here I socialize here and I party here. A must Go club and has a reciprocating program with other clubs around the world.
Cool atmosphere. I had a really good drink with egg whites on it. Cant remember what it was but now I want all my drinks to have egg whites on them. So good.
A touch of class.
Met up with some friends had a great time. Wonderful cocktails and the dessert hit the right spot.
Been a member for a few years. Love this club and employees. There’s been a lot of change, lots of great employees lost but the club manages to grow and prosper with great new employees and members year after year
Just a great place especially for jeans, but really everything. Most importantly Diego is there to make sure its done to your satisfaction. thank you guys.
Amazing Scotch selection, fair price, tasty fresh food, good service.
Great social club, relaxed atmosphere with on staff tobacconist.
Came here to host a corporate event. The staff was extremely friendly, very attentive to the tiniest details and extremely helpful. The hors doeuvres were delicious and the bartender was very skilled.
Awesome service, great food and wonderful drinks. Need I say more...
Great private bar! I would recommend signing up to be a member. You wont regret it.
Firstly, Im just reviewing their storefront as this Yelp listing is for a Department Store, not a club or restaurant. The location of the store is beautiful. The old bank, the barber in the vault - its all lovely and definitely worth peeking inside. The products are interesting and theres quite a variety (fishing gear to whiskey to clothing to shaving supplies to cigars). All that being said, the place is a slight disaster - all the products are strewn about the otherwise beautiful space, with seemingly little attempt at organization. The absolute worst part about it all is their customer service. I have walked into the space several times, staring blankly at their doorman? cashiers? and they would NOT EVEN MAKE EYE CONTACT with me. I literally stood there for several minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. Id considered getting some whiskey for myself (yes, Im a woman, but I dont have everything), or some fishing gear or a wallet for my male relatives/friends.Alas, now that I know they dont want my business, I wont be going back except to check out the pretty, pretty space. For the man who has everything... except common courtesy.Solutions for the modern... a-hole.We welcome the 1, 30X, 41... to be ignored when entering our store.
This is the mens store part of Wingtip, everything on floor 2 and higher is their private social club.I was first drawn in because I was curious to see what had become of the old Bank of Italy building. I was not disappointed. Theyve done some serious remodeling, but many of the original architectural elements and decorations of the original bank are still intact. Most of the ground floor is restored and original and you can go downstairs and wander the vaults with all the safe deposit boxes opened up.I picked up a pair of 1000 Mile Boots. The salesman was great and, before I knew it, he had a dozen varieties of boots laid out in front of me without once returning with news of being out of stock of anything.I probably walked past this place 50 times before I realized I could go inside. All you see from the street is a security guard at a desk right at the front door which isnt exactly a welcoming sight for a store, but apparently the guard is just there to check people in to the social club upstairs.
Excellent historic feeling venue. Class act. Great for a business venue.
The bar upstairs is a throwback to another era with fine whisky and food and even some smooth jazz on Friday nights. Oysters on the half shell, steak tartare and just a phenomenal experience from start to finish.
Great private club with good cocktails and food.
The dapper mans, man cave. This store is a must visit in SF and a trusted place I visit to pick up unique and luxury gifts and necessities in the Bay Area
Nice selection of high quality products. Terrible customer service with dreadfully slow shipping. Why bother having an online store if you cant manage to fulfill the orders in a timely manner or communicate with your clients?Such a waste.
Members Only Cigar club, best place for cigar, drinks n eat in SF.
Love the bar upstairs. Always a great place to hang out, and a wonderful venue to host a private event.
Customer service is excellent and includes an in-store tailor. However, shirts are quite pricey, and in my opinion you can get much better quality (e.g. better fabric) for the same price elsewhere
Very cool and hip joint to hang out.
When you think about tie shopping does it usually take place in a bank vault? Yes?! Excellent then because Wingtip is the place for you. This uber posh social club is also a menswear store specializing in lighters and other fine apparel items whose prices would make most of middle america up and have a heart attack. Choose but choose wisely.
Gorgeous store. Staff member was very helpful during my visit last week.
Lives up to its reputation.
Great customer service. Highly recommend the rooftop deck on a warm day!
This place is awesome! Quality goods for a distinguishing man.
Food is decent, but could be more exotic for such an up-scale club
Original shop in a beautiful location (probably a former bank). Everything for men
This place is great! I get all of my husbands gifts here and they never disapoint!
Great experience all around!
Everyone is superb over here
Mr. Roberts is the best.
Classy place with the best whiskey selection in the city
For male sartorialists traditionally inclined (AKA West Coast Preppy) entering this store is like going to Paradise, at least since the closure of the late Bullock and Jones (now the Union Square Williams Sonoma) and the decamping of Cable Car Clothiers from the old bank building in Palladian style at the corner of Grant and OFarrell, now sadly an Emporio Armani. In other words, impeccable clothing, impeccably presented, nice sales guys, turns out not to be too expensive considering the quality. Very nice tailoring in very fine fabrics downstairs in the old vault, nicely selected cuff links, ties, etc. (Its in the restored Bank of Italy (later BofA) building.) Nice touches like fabric tote bags, so you dont have to pay for paper bags, and ten percent back to you via e-mailed receipt kept in their data base to spend later. Full barber shop and shoeshine on premises. Free shoe trees with shoes. And up at the top of the building they have a very posh members club. Brought to you by the folks from Stanford (On the Fly predecessor, and other similar initiatives around town).
My favorite pub in the city!
Great service, great quality, great people.
Great selection of manly gear!
Great wine and atmosphere.
Fantastic, a favorite San Francisco hang out.
Excellent Service in clothing.
Not open before or after work, cannot buy from a closed store.
Not the store...the wingtip club...very nice
