Unlike most coffee shops where interactions feel transactional or even forced, folks here are genuinely friendly and attentive. Even in a short conversation, there is warmth in their tones that makes me feel they care about me as a person, not just a customer.I guess I dont need to emphasize that their coffee is excellent, which everybody already knows. In fact, some of my other favorite coffee shops in the city also use their beans. I always get a ham and cheese croissant (from Wolves and Craftsman) to accompany my wonderful flat white. The shop is modern, spacious and well lit, I always enjoy getting a cup of coffee here.
Overrated but understandable! Portland has a lot of coffee shops but this does it best! The ambiance is good with jazz music playing along, has a lot of seats to offer, and has the best brewed coffee in town! You can have a good sip of coffee and quietly work on your laptop They also offer breakfast meals and you can pair them with their signature drink. I enjoyed my time here!
This place is a nice coffee shop to sit in with a lot of aesthetic tables and chairs. I actually dont really like their macadamia almond milk with their chai latte - it tasted quite bitter. I did like how many tables there are and its good for working. But there are no outlets which makes it hard to stay for an extended period of time.
Quite literally one of the best local coffee shops.I was extremely disappointed at Equator, my go-to for years so I remembered St. Frank’s sitting pretty just a few blocks from me. And thus, I’m a dedicated customer now.Within minutes, you’ll arrive, order, enjoy the friendliest of exchanges, and depart with a great coffee in hand. You’re not going to order and linger around - their making your coffee for all to see right on the counter in front of you as you are still telling them the particulars. The psychology behind this is just truly amazing.I also love the name. Guessing it’s based off San Francisco - St. Francis and I just love that.
I had a fabulous involvement in this shop when I went there last Monday. The espresso and food varieties were scrumptious and yummy. Also, it supports my morning to be more enthusiastic. A debt of gratitude is in order for the help!
Predominant coffeehouse administration to be sure! A gigantic alleviation on my side to result in these present circumstances pleasant spot. Your brilliant and reasonable assistance was firmly suggested! Much thanks to you for everything. Best!
So as a decaf drinker, it’s always nice to find a place that has quality beans that are virtually indistinguishable from standard offerings. Not only was the decaf at Saint Frank full of flavor and perfectly balanced, it probably was the best cup of decaf I’ve ever had. Their partnership with Craftsman and Wolves for their pastry selection is a match made in heaven because you get the same level of quality in the baked goods! Look at those beautiful swirls in the layers of this chocolate croissant! Will be back. FOR SURE.
Great coffee, nice pastries, dropped a star bc no power outlets so you better go with a fully charged battery if you plan to work
One of my favorite cafe, coffee is constantly great, people are friendly and helpful. They also have some selection of sweet or savory pastries. The vibe is energetic here, sometimes there is a queue but it goes fast and it is worth the time.
This coffee shop is super local. Started by a former teacher, Saint Frank is working with small coffee growers and small local purveyors of tea for their beverage selection. They make (!) their own macadamia nut milk. Local bakeries provide their pastries & sweets.Keeping the Russian Hill crowd with their well traveled tastes caffeinated is challenging. It’s beverages are a bit pricey. Can Saint Frank’s hold it’s own against the big coffee chains down the street? As a small business trying to keep going as most are, they are! If you can stop by for a drink or snack, do it!
The barista was very knowledgeable about the coffee, he explained every detail. He even helped out when I bought packs of coffee to bring home. The staff members were all friendly and accommodating. I was more than satisfied with the coffee. It was worth savoring. Well be coming back here again soon!
Coffee is great but $1.25 to sub in some Minor Figures oat milk, get outta here
Great coffee place. I had a mocha that was good. The service was great too. You can hang out there to catch up with friends or work for a little as well.
My fav coffee shop in Russian Hill. Hands down. Clean, good vibes, amazing coffee. Hot or cold, the attention to the coffee goes a long way to bring out robust flavors. The staff is friendly and the rotating pastries are worth trying. The coffee is so good, I have a subscription for the days where I don’t walk to the cafe. St. Frank does it right.
Excellent coffee, polite and efficient staff, and a nice vibe. The seating is a little hard to come by but I love doing work here! The bathroom is clean, as well as the entire establishment as a whole. I always get an iced latte with their homemade macadamia nut milk.
This coffee shop is where we go for business meetings or just a quick talk with a friend. Not only did we enjoy their coffee and unique pastries and desserts, but we also enjoyed the atmosphere. Every time we come here, it feels like home. Ive also had a lot of fun with their exclusive sofas.
The owner or manager not sure who was the person making coffee but was very rude and uptight. Not sure if it does have a dress code but a coffee shop should be a place to relax and not be all poshed up. Never going back. The coffee is not outstanding but very average.
The tastiest coffee that I had tasted my entire life. I am very grateful that I am here in this place. I need to come back because its a good one. I cant wait to visit this place again. I will definitely be going to save their contact number for deliveries as well. Try their desserts and you won’t regret it for sure. Thumbs up!
The coffee is very creamy and sweet comparing to other brand in the city. I personally love it.
Staff is very friendly. Very expensive compared to other nearby coffee shops. I have found their espresso drinks to be inconsistent.
Amazing quality espresso. Anywhere that weighs the coffee dose and the extracted weight is a winner to me. Really impressed.
Ive always appreciated and admired their hardworking and talented workers. Without hesitation, I would suggest this wonderful pizza restaurant to all of my coworkers or family members. Even nice take-out bags are available. I went to this pizza restaurant for the first time and was blown away by the quality of their pizza. Its a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Good coffee drinks, friendly staff, efficient service and nice indoor+outdoor tables. I ordered an orange creme latte that was delicious.
Might be my favorite cup of coffee in san Francisco. And Ive been to countless over the years. The pastries and other drink options are limited..but I go to st Franks for serious coffee. Always satisfying
Possibly the best ordering/barista experience Ive ever had on a morning coffee run. Dont skip the baked goods either.
The food was always made fresh. It was delicious. The coffee was great and the juices were refreshing. There are options for people with all sorts of dietary needs so you dont have to worry. The whole family will find something great to eat and drinks there. The staff are also quite friendly. A must visit!
Saint Frank is one of San Francisco’s top coffee spots. With an inventory of single origin beans drawn from the best lots in Central and South America, it’s a coffee bar with a beautiful aesthetic, with a warm inviting ambiance. While there is a great buzz on the weekends, my tip is to visit during the week to sample a variety of coffee making methods, including hand filtered coffee.
I think this place is the most popular here in our area for they have friendly bartenders and they served the desired taste of the coffee. As we spent our day here with my co-workers, we were all amazed by the goodness of the staff. They were so accommodating. They gave us a wide space for us to relax while enjoying every sip of the coffee. You guys can bring all your friends here!
Spent 7 days in San Fran and this was our go to place. Quick drive from where we were staying and our first stop in the mornings before heading out for fun. We tried others that week but always lackluster. Keep up the great lattes! Well be back.
Coffee is coffee is coffee. It’s good and it’s a good place to come to for good drip, pour-over and espresso based drinks. The pour-over we tried (shown in pictures) is a bit on the weak side but to each their own tastes. The best thing is that this space is gorgeous. There’s a few skylights that brightens up the space. There is a single washroom at the back room. The pour-over is made by a machine.
Oh man! One of the best coffee ☕️ shop in the San Francisco. Never had this great coffee before. Their coffee is like wine 🍷. You pour into small glass, smell and sip it to enjoy it’s aroma and flavor. They source their coffee very carefully. Every sip of their coffee was great. Must go place if you are coffee lover.
Well be back, and well tell you all about it! We wanted to take a rest after taking a walk around the neighborhood. Its more likely to be a traditional coffee and snack shop in a laid-back college town. Theyve been roasting coffee for ten years, and its excellent.
I drank my coffee here in the morning. It was fantastic coffee! I tried a cold brew, and it was excellent.
I will surely come back here soon. Keep up the good work always. The service was superb! I really felt the warm welcome from the security guard through the whole crews. Amazing ambiance, amazing food, and amazing staff. The food also tastes good and well prepared. Not a crowded place, unlike others. Must visit and recommended.
Super gracious and willing to serve us a delicious hot coffee at the last minute.
In the city, an unforgettable experience! In my town, I finally found a coffee shop. Nice, full-flavored, and solid, and not as costly as some of the others Ive tried before. Also, the venue was very clean and organized. I am very pleased with your service. Keep up the outstanding service! Highly recommended in the field!
The coffee is delicious and the service is fast and reliable. The space is nice but maybe could be a bit better distributed to make it more warm inside. The outdoor little terrace is lovely to see life go through in the SF streets. They have an awesome capuccino and fair trade coffees from many South American countries.
Throughout the past year I’ve gotten into making my coffee at home. With that, I’ve gotten more particular about coffee I buy from a shop. This is one of the first places I’ve had in a while I’ve been impressed by. Knowledgeable staff, great coffee in an array of roasts. Also really nice that if you buy beans by the bag you get a complimentary filter coffee cup. Also on their website they include brewing recipes for the V60 which is very nice.
My boyfriend and I chose this place whenever we have a serious topic to talk about because we knew that coffee enhances our mood and the place was unwinding. We could think properly to come up with positive thoughts especially the taste of the coffee was great. We also appreciate the kindness of the staff here
No cash payments. Great coffee, pastries and service. Good observation of health procedures. Seating available in spaced tables on sidewalk. Designated waiting line outside to enter. Coffee beans available from this high end coffee house.
My mother had placed an order for flowers, and I was passing by this side-of-the-road flower shop at the time. It was really convenient for me because it was close to my house and the majority of the flowers were reasonably priced. Extremely efficient!
A beautiful airy coffee shop with the best of coffee drinks. Not to be missed if one is anywhere near Polk and Broadway intersections. The baristas are cheerful much like the ambiance and there is good seating. Talking about the seating, it is not at all crammed like one would encounter at other coffee shops in the area, and that adds a lot to the experience of a great time over coffee. Full marks!
The waiters and waitresses were very responsible and passionate through their job. Even the foods and the coffee that I ordered taste delicious and accurate to what I expected. The best coffee shop that I have ever visited! Besides, the place has a very good view, cool, and fascinating to relax. I greatly loved the taste of the coffee. It was excellent. Thank you!
Laid-back vibe with the tastiest pastries and creamiest coffee in their menu! Humble and minimalist place that youd surely want to visit over and over again.
Everything weve had has been outstanding
The baristas are all so kind and the coffee is amazing!
Good coffee, good customer service, nice clean store but parking is a bear.
There was delicious and reasonably priced coffee and food. Its a lovely spot with a lively, welcoming vibe. The team has been extremely helpful and has met all of my expectations. The Wi-Fi connections are also really strong. It comes with a strong recommendation!
They offer different kinds to suit varying tastes. The guy who took my order is so welcoming and treated me kind and special like no other. The whole shop is so beautiful, air-conditioned, and clean. I really love going back to this place. Thank you very much!
Clean, high ceilings, bright and white. Good service and I tried the Cortado which is an equal mix of warm milk and expresso. They didnt have the spicy apple caramel flavor but at least I saved some calories! We stayed there a couple hours, wifi was good, and got some work done. Polk street has been really updated with better bike accessibility and good for walking and this is one spot you should check out!
Their coffee beans were way different from any other coffee shop in the city. I love the ambiance of the place. It was very airy and tidy. They also serve pastries and cookies, and they were the best! I am so happy they were located near my workplace, so before heading to work, I will drop by and buy my coffee.
It is a great place where you could go to watch the people and read the signs on the wall or step out back to an exhibit. We stopped by for coffee and cake and were very impressed by their helpful staff, great atmosphere, and affordable prices. The atmosphere is everything here, and the coffee is good!
A nice place to have coffee and a sandwich. At this coffee shop, you will see a smile on all crew faces. I always coming here to have my coffee and chill out with my friends. Also, I noticed that many people ordered the pavlova cake that looked delicious. I will surely return to this coffee shop and highly recommend it as an official stop on a visit!
She made my hair so stunning. She always listens to me exactly what I want and I am super happy and satisfied with the result. She entertains me throughout the whole service and never hesitates to answer all my questions to my full satisfaction. Keep it up. Highly recommended!
I love the way they arranged things, very comfy, very cold, and spacious. All of the crews there show genuine concern and care for the customers. This is a perfect place for studying working or just for chit chat. I love the place! Thank you!
More of a to go place then a place to sit down and enjoy your coffee or work on your laptop. Sitting area is far from comfortable and there are very few power outlets. Coffee was ok but the croissant was not warmed up. The only non dairy milk they have was macadamia milk. Oh, and no wifi and Sundays.
I’m the type who follows Coffee Review and orders from coffee roasters across the US. Saint Frank’s stacks up well against any coffees from CR’s top-30 list. I recently learned Saint Frank’s actually send some of the staff on sourcing trips, versus using brokers which I believe is more common. The staff really know their coffee — ask Josh or anyone there about roasting or brew methods. I usually pick up a bag or two of their whole beans, with a rotating selection keeping things interesting. The beans are large and consistent, and there is never a stale bag on the shelves; this indicates to me that these folks take quality very seriously.
With a very large clientele of regulars, it is a rather local-based coffee shop. It is the fastest moving coffee shop Ive been to, too. That means that, unlike most coffee shops Ive been to before, you never wait more than 5 minutes for a cup of coffee. Nice to stop by on your way to work!
Such a cute shop must try
We liked how they prepared coffee for customers. We could say that they have expertise in combining the flavors for the taste is great. Just like what we had last Saturday. We ordered our favorite coffee and desserts. The taste was amazing for it was the desired taste we wanted to. Thus, we would like to thank all of you! We will recommend this place as well!
Saint frank is great for everything, coffee pastries, & more!
If you couldn’t tell the line is always big. That’s because it is worth it and great quality
Sinfully delicious bakery items, and a properly made cappuccino.
The iced chestnut praline latte coffee I had was nice but not as strong as I would like it to be. However, the waffle was delicious. If you are walking around and needed a snack, I would recommend you come for the waffle and taste the coffee.
I had a wonderful latte that a very sweet barista had made for me. The store was small, but because I am a minimalist, I enjoyed it very much. So far the best coffee shop here.
Genuinely kind and friendly staff, excellent coffee!
We enjoyed the breakfast at this coffee shop very much! The raisin French toasts with banana slices, fresh berries, and pecans were amazing! We also liked the atmosphere at this typical American Diner, and we felt like being in a movie of the 60s. And the nice waitress gave us a famous cinnamon roll to try since we were visiting. Excellent experience!
Finally, near my area, I found a coffee shop. Nice, full-flavored, and solid, and not as costly as some of the others Ive tried before. They have a great coffee taste and excellent service throughout. The atmosphere is so cosy, and the link to the internet is easy. This coffee shop I would highly recommend to anyone who loves coffee.
Best coffee in town. Love the staff and ambiance. And extra star for the cookie.
Cool place to study and drink coffee! The coffee is really good and the people are friendly! So great. Unbeatable prices, great staff, warm, spacious, and a great place to work. All you can ask for.
