Great coffee and lemonade! Friendly staff, quick service and literally a third of the price of nearby coffee places. Plus, very interesting stuff to browse while you wait lol.
I have been coming here for years, and will continue to come here for years. It is the best coffee shop in the city, and promotes a safe, inclusive environment where they take care of people. We are so lucky to have such a place in our communit
Very poor experience. I ordered an ice latte. The barista said they had run out of cups so his solution was to give me two drinks instead of notifying me that they were out of cups and allowing me, the paying customer to decide if I wanted to walk home carrying two cups of coffee. I also don’t agree with any food server holding a cup from the top rim where a customer has to drink. That’s not how you hold a cup. You place your hand at the bottom. I expressed my dissatisfaction with his service and asked to be refunded. He refused to refund me. This is why we don’t support small businesses because of experiences like this.
Awesome coffee and outstanding food, especially the Vegan Dream 😸 Beautifully open minded, welcoming, friendly, cosy (with good air conditioning), stable/fast WiFi and a spacious toilet thats suitable for all humans and disabilities 😼 Like everything in SF, its not cheap, but cafés dont get much better than this loving humble (if a little rough on the edges) food and beverage sanctuary with bonus fun sex toys on sale too 😻 CoffeenKink at its best... Highly recommended 👌
What a unique idea. This coffee shop isnt for the faint of heart or religious minded. I cant say that I understand the connection between fetish behaviors and coffee but I do love San Francisco for all that it is and brings. That being said, the workers really stride to provide great service and education as to what theyre all about. I believe in the sense of community and so does this cafe.Maybe Ill join you for game night one night Wicked Grounds. Ill make sure to bring the whip as long as you supply the drinks.
When I first walked in (and I knew what is was getting myself into after reading reviews) I was kinda confused by the whole sex w/ coffee thing. But somehow it works haha. Coffee and drinks are amazing! And the food is divine. Even if you aren’t into the overall vibe, come here for good service and wonderful eats
Great milkshakes, tasty treats, and great coffee drinks. Plenty of vegan options like cookies and brownies! The folks working there are quirky and sweet. I love stopping by here. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to all the pretentious coffee shops in the city.
I understand this is a community establishment but that’s not a reason for terrible service. No person behind the counter while the 2nd server at her lunch at the counter telling us “our server will be with you momentarily “. 5 min later still no service, other server still enjoying her lunch.Server finally came for “why are you bothering me”Styled service. Very disappointing.I love to support our community, I wonder if this establishment believes they do?
Cafe food at this spot - great. I love snacking here. Fast and courteous service. This place has a great feel to it.
Awesome kinky cafe. Nice Leather and rope for sale. The staff was very sweet and friendly. The Turkey melt was bomb and the salad was delicious!! I would come here all the time if I lived in San Francisco. Definitely a place to check out.
Cafe food here - delicious. It was so appetizing. I look forward to a return visit. It has a cool interior. Menu is like a place in Miami I enjoyed
Great coffee and waffles! Lovely ambiance and friendly staff. They also have a fun selection of kinky stationary. I always enjoy perusing the postcard ad counter and finding new events. Few tourists, from what Ive seen and a strong community. Highly recommended!
Absolutely great cafe. A lot of great options for drinks and foods, among other things! Really appreciated their book selection as well.
One of my top spots for quality Cafe food. service is always excellent even when they have a full house. definitely worth going back to.
Interesting places its basically a fetish shop with coffee and food sounds kinda gross when you put it that way but its super clean and the staff is really nice. The bathrooms could use a good scrub down not gonna lie. Good coffee and I heard their food is really good I didnt personally get to try it. Definitely worth the visit if youre not squeamish about sexuality.
Amazing and unique space. Its one of the few places where I feel completely comfortable as a queer person in the city. The food is a little pricey, but you are funding an amazing community space for art, education, and support. Highly recommend!
I am giving this place 4 stars based on merit because a friend brought me here for coffee and 9pm on a week night. I had a French press taken black. The coffe was rich and flavorful. There was no one in the place. The ambiance is fun and I really did like some of the art for sale. I would try this place again on a Saturday morning to try to get a different experience.
Awesome chilled vibe!! The block had lost power, but the staff were so friendly, I hung around till there was power again and had some awesome coffee!!
Wicked Grounds remains OPEN!Wicked Grounds is thriving!Wicked Grounds provides coffee to fuel the kinky queer revolution! This is an awesome space with a wonderfully diverse staff and clientele.Have an espresso, buy some rope, and get tied to your chair! :-)
Kink-friendly coffee shop with plenty of seating, good wifi, and tasty coffee. Their sandwiches are tasty too. The music can vary a lot and so can the crowd. I find it a good place to work from until around 7. 4 stars because not always the best service.
Great food and drinks, edgy eclectic environment. I love the fact that there are still places like this in SF that have not lowered their freak flags for the tech companies. The only major draw back is that it is a bit small and can get warm inside in the summer.
This is an interesting place... lots of nudity on the walls and sometimes inside the bar. I went there the other night to get a hot chocolate and it was bondage night: people were being tied up by professionals, really interesting.Their hot chocolate is fine maybe a tad too sweet and the environment in general is a nice one to hang out while reading or doing some work even though sometimes there are no available seats. Service overall is pleasant. Its close to my house so I might actually go back there.
Outstanding location for tasty Cafe food. dropped in on mon i think. the service was very helpful and observant. this place has a cool design.
The coffee is amazing. The staff are friendly. The food is delicious. I love the milk shakes. The classes are great too
The table was not clean, I started cleaning it myself with some paper napkins, a server walked right next to me and didnt offer help. They serve coffee in disposable cups even when you say you are going to drink it there. Cream on the coffee was frozen cold. The attendant who took our order didnt have the best attitude. There were literally just four people at the store and the servers didnt bother to bring items to the table, they would just call the orders out loud for us to pick them up, when were were only 10ft away from them. Bagels took forever. They used the same knife to cut my goat cheese bagel and my wifes cream cheese bagel, therefore, my wifes bagel tasted like goat cheese (which she hates). We were so displeased with the whole experience that we didnt even bother to tell them about the goat cheese. We just took off.It is expensive, not that clean, service is terrible.. I cant understand how everybody is giving 5 stars.
Hand-crafted food and beverages. Quite tasty. Welcoming environment. Great book selection.
Amazing! Ive been told about this place for years from a friend. Im so happy that I got to go here when I visited San Francisco. Awesome coffee, amazing food, and the coolest people!
The staff is a bit cranky and sold righteous about whatever their fetish happens to be. Not really a food place. But very interesting people watching. The leather fetish computer winks coding and sipping coffee... dozens of them. Each likely making a few hundred thousands year. SAN Francisco! Best place ever.
Oh my gosh, what can you say? This place is a FIND - the kind of fabled San Francisco Coffee Shop that really just embodies everything cool about San Francisco. Its a little bit punk, a little bit rock and roll, and seems to have a really active place in the local social circles (game nights, etc.) Kinky toys and books for sale, fantastic menu, and EXTREMELY welcoming and open-minded staff. This is going to be a DESTINATION for me when Im in San Francisco.
Cafe food and the feeling here is super good. arrived at five, it wasnt busy. the staff was friendly and observant. the bill was fair i would say.
I feel like the food is overpriced but Ive been willing to pay it because it IS good enough AND it keeps the unique place open.I like it overall, but wish it was less expensive. A $14 turkey sandwich just like I make at home is ridiculous to me, but, as I said, its a colourful place Id like to see stay open.
Love this place. The crew is always nice and friendly and the space lends to meeting new people. It’s Great!!
This place is a kink coffee shop but that pretty much just means they have some risque photos on the walls. They make the best chai latte Ive ever had so I come here a lot. Ill bring friends here just for the shock factor, but like I said... its not a huge shock.
One of the best quad mochas Ive had; tasted like a hot cocoa. Staff was very friendly and the accessories shop was cute and stocked with fun toys and books. Would definitely recommend to those in need of caffeine who know how to have a good time in the bedroom.
Highly recommended for anyone in the kink scene! Great coffee and snacks with a kinky twist! Everyone is incredibly nice and friendly.
Wicked grounds has a super delicious set of meals to order along with good coffee made by awesome queers of the queer and kink revolution! Cozy atmosphere with couches and board games to play, handmade table tops (theres a comic book top thats a collage of various bdsm images of many different comic book heroes), and a stocked boutique with everything from rope to books.I love this place, always have since I first stepped foot in the door. It is my favorite spot ever to chill out and have coffee, and its an even better place to bring friends.
This restaurant exceeded my expectations by a longshot. Upon entering this establishment, called a kink cafe, I was taken into another world dedicated to the alternative lifestyle. Upon the wall there was erotic art from local Bay Area artists. There was a boutique-like atmosphere, quaint and homey, despite the human-sized cage near the register. The staff was hip yet friendly and open. The food is both delicious and well-priced. They have a variety of foods on their frequently-rotating menu. I ate the pizza bagel with a root beer, a fantastic pairing. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants more from their cafe than just coffee!
The person at the register as well as the cook lacked decent customer service skills. Instead of giving us a number or taking our name, they called out our food orders (this left us confused considering most of the people that day ordered pizza bagels and we didnt know when our food was up). The customers were more kind than the staff (who were all rude, inattentive, and unwelcoming.)My partner and I were disappointed considering they say theyre queer- and kink-friendly. We felt as though our presence was offending them. Staff was arrogant and, if you dont have an obvious queer look, they did not acknowledge you.Food was decent, prices were okay ... I like that there is a place that is available to the kink community, but I left feeling disrespected and unwelcomed. I will not be recommending this place to any of my friends ... Its not like theyll care anyway considering how they treated their customers.
Sex positive, great atmosphere and friendly staff.Ordered chicken pesto bagel. Took the only person on staff a while to make it, but it was Amazing.
Cool place to grab an iced cooler, sweet treat or filled roll.
Cozy kink-based cafe. Ive loved everything about it - the other people present, the food, and they have milkshakes made with soy ice cream, which is amazingly exciting to someone thats lactose intolerant. 💜💜
Really appreciate a nice place to take a date without needing to hide our D/s dynamic for fear of concerning the muggles 😅👀
If you like a side of kink with your drink, this is your spot for a cup of joe! Theres whips, leather, and all sorts of kinky stuff around in this alternative coffee shop. Its not the best place to study or get work done, but it sure is an interesting place to hang out.
Overpriced foods. Leary men
Perfect get away place for kinky LGBT people 🖤
Outstanding coffee - Id tried a bunch of coffee shops in SF but this is by far my favorite. Wonderfully kink and LGBT coffee shop.
This is a nice and quirky coffee shop, full of sex references on the walls, that goes from funny to really sexy. There are many couches and tables to sit and just read and relax. The coffee beverages are delicious and meticulously prepared.
Definitely check it out if youve never been. Its absolutely a local landmark.
This place rocks! If you enjoy thrash metal music, step in. They were playing The Call of Ktulu and Mr. crowley which is awesome! Lattes are good. The door stays open to let the fresh air flow, and they stay open late. Plus, hot servers and guests.
Bounce if you bring your own tea. But echo the others here the unique harbor safely granted for kink.
Great coffee! I love the chicken pesto panini! And of course you gotta love the theme and ambiance of the place.
Heard such great things about this place from all over town.Unfortunately they guy who took care of us was super rude from the start. He was wearing leather attire and I guess they were having some sort of meet up and we “interrupted”I’m sorry that we came into you place of business to get some coffee while you were having a meeting. We got our coffee and I asked him if I could have mine in a ceramics glass and he said no.W/we also ordered two cups of soup, a cappuccino and a iced chai latte. W/we got our coffee within 10 minutes then waiting about 20 minute and I asked the other barista if she knew where our souls were and she said they didn’t have anymore. She went to get ask the gentleman who served us but he was a little busy getting flogged.10 minutes later they gave us soup that wasn’t even half way up the bowl and super water down.Maybe W/we came in on an off day and or maybe my expectations were super high bc all the places we went to hyped it up to us.
My favorite place in the city. Good coffee, great attitude. Come with an open mind.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, strong coffee, delicious quiches, comfy chairs... Overall a wonderful experience
Awesome place to do meet and greets, great staff, yummy food! Wicked Grounds is the place to be. Glad that they are open for business!
Such a wonderful place. I love the food and everybody there.
Great place to sit down and chat. Good coffee and treats quite nice.
Love this place. Welcoming staff. Relaxing vibe. Good coffee!
Absolutely spectacular. Its a three hour drive from my hometown for this place. I will be coming back for it again.
What can I say that hasnt already been said? If you like your coffee with kink or support the bdsm and lgbtq community this is the spot to go. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, decent coffee and food. They also host events and contribute to the neighborhood.
Stellar staff, good food, cute place.Went during the day, so it was pretty empty.
Great people, and service. Good food.Awesome place.
Best cafe. Ever.So awesome it changes lives. Im not even kidding. Go. Now.
Only place I can find good espresso 😉
Community gathering place; leather, trans, everyone! Fun to have a coffee or soda sitting among the local arts and a little kink boutique. Can get crowded. Folks are friendly.
I love this place, mainly because the kink element permeates the place so much that it would be easy to imagine it all as something your Grandmother would do. Its all so innocuous: the small cage in the corner, the calendar of Kink in Your Daily Life events, etc.The coffee is whelming, but Wicked Grounds wins huge points for having a huge selection of board games. Theyre stacked on a giant bookcase just beyond the coffee station, so you can Candyland or Cards Against Humanity to your hearts content.Free wifi and plenty of outlets, so I definitely have done plenty of studying/writing here.
Kink Cafe great people caring open minded folks. I ran in distraught with tears needed a suicide hotline for a friend who refused to stop drinking himself to death and a butchy woman helped me. I love my tribe!
WG is an amazing positive space that plays an essential role in the community. And the food aint half bad to boot!
Really great food and drinks for folks w dietary restrictions. Fun atmosphere
Staff was rude and unwelcoming. Apparently Im not on visual inspection acceptably alternative. I havent received such a cold shoulder by a business in recent memory. Shame on you, Wicked Grounds.
Best cafe in the world !!! Where else are you free to be yourself and proudly let your freak flag fly while sipping on a delicious non-alcoholic beverage
I eat a slice of their gluten-free banana bread at least 2 times a week. Great medium-dark roast coffee, hilarious staff, and an integral part of the sex positive SF scene.
I love the waffles here, and every single one of the staff members are kind and helpful.
Love that you support Erotic Art and have AMAZING Coffee!! The theme is amazing and I love you guys!!xoxo Sugar
It’s a bit too dark and the chairs are not very comfortable but it has its VIBE
Great place to chill with open people, community banded together to keep the shop open
Really wanted to give this pla e 5 stars. As a kinky human I was pleasantly surprised to see this cafe. We happened to be the first and only customers in the morning. The barista was rude and while I sat waiting for my pizza bagel for an exhorbitant amount of time I noticed that, although we were the only customers it took her 15 minutes before she could even be bothered to begin making it. My partner and I are both finished with our coffees today... Still waiting on pizza bagel.
For the l.g.b.t.q the place is very nice and Pleasant to set there and have coffee.
Very accommodating to those who are into puppy play. They will serve your drink in a dog bowl.
Had a great mocha here and the ladies who helped me were very sweet and opened the case to let us look at and touch the ropes.
The baristas might take forever on the order (which they will tell you straight up), but the drinks always come out great! The place certainly has character and its great for those planned rainy days.
Decent coffee. Quality boardgames available. Oh and a selection of toys.
A comfy, welcoming, inclusive cafe with friendly staff and lots of interesting events.
Food and drink are good. Staff are friendly. Vending of kinky supplies is novel. Kinky/LBGT meetups make for interesting company.
Quaint hole in the wall coffee shop that supports the community. Good folks, good food, good coffee.
Great spot for culture. The staff and foood are amazing!!!
Pretty unique coffee place. A very comfortable place to hang out.
This is an adult-themed coffeehouse! Both a shop and hangout, good vibe, and good coffee.
I loved the atmosphere and the variety of food items !!!
My favorite place in SF for milkshakes and kinky community!!! Great vibe and a nice menu of healthy (& kinda healthy) yummies to put in your face!!
Wicked Grounds is still OPEN!!! come enjoy the cafe and kink. Tell your friends that Wicked Grounds is still open!!!
Great service. Good food. OK tea.
Got their milkshake here on a Wednesday night. I think there was some sort of even going on for the Kink Cafe aspect of this place. I did not participate in this part of the cafe, but gotta say, they make a mean milkshake. I also came in with my mom, suggestion would be maybe dont take parents here.
Great staff great service. I love this placw
Love my Pre-BaGG hang out!
Vegans can order the Vegan Dream homemade pesto sandwich. Order yours w/maple mustard dressing on the lettuce. What’s missing? Chili’s. I wish they had jalapeño or Serrano peppers to to make this Om nom nom chompsky 🥪 pop. They only have Sri Racha hot sauce. Bring your own if that flava won’t do
Other reviews give the impression that its a kink shop that sells coffee. I was disappointed that the shop is a cafe with a few shelves of merchandise. Great idea though!
1-23-18 - WICKED GROUNDS IS NOT CLOSED!! - THEY ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! . . GOOGLE NEEDS TO CORRECT THIS ASAP!!!!!
