My normal shop that I get Vespa service was booked up 6 weeks out and my scooter was in bad shape. I live in the East Bay and I was hesitant to tow it across the bridge to a new shop I wasn’t familiar with. I’m glad I did.First, they were super welcoming. They keep in touch with you via text throughout everything and call if any conversation is necessary. They got all the work done lightning fast, much faster than I was expecting! The price was great and my scooter is running hella well.
I stopped at the dealership after seeing an ad for an MP3 scooter. I was told that I could not test drive this MP3 scooter because as the manager said to me its a bike too complicated to test drive. I knew better having driven many of them in the past I tried to convince the salesperson but I knew how to ride the bike. They would not budge so again I left knowing I would not go back to that dealership again. Everything I asked about was no cant do this wont do that and it was a very frustrating experience. I dont know how this place stays in business.
An Excellent Shop with knowledgeable employees and great selection of accessories and brands of bikes to choose from. Its been one of the best in SF for decades !
Those guys really know about motorcycle if you are a beginner theyll special the sell man name Alex Wilkinson!! Hes the best getting you the best deals and they pick the right motocycle for you !!! I live in sf and with this traffic and parking space the motocycle are the best optionsKeep it up guys!!!
I bought my bike at this shop. Great sales department. Great parts department, but the prices are 20% higher. As for service, the tank had to be removed for warranty service, and several weeks later my tank bolt was missing. The bolt on the other side was loose. You would think a shop getting$100+An hour could tighten your bolts. Its$20 for three missing parts. This is not the first time I have had issues with the service dept.
SF Motorcycle shop that sells Italian made bikes and scooters like Vespa, Piaggio, and Aprilia. Also Royal Enfield.
Staff seem kinda clueless but they’re friendly. I bought a bike here anyway
I wouldn’t recommend this dealership. Made an inquiry about trading two bikes in for another. I started I like my privacy, especially keeping it from being sold to other spam companies. They did not answer me back because I chose not to leave a phone number, rather an email instead. If a number is so important it would have been starred, like the address and email was! I also would have considered this pandemic and the slow sales rate along with less currency flowing through the United States they would have hopped on this sale. Thanks guys.
Purchased a 2020 Vespa Primavera Touring 150 for my GFs birthday in mid-August here because nobody had the model and color combination in the East Bay. Sales process was typical and relatively quick. The Vespa was to come in later in the day of purchase, but was to be delivered the following week (delivery days on Tuesdays and Fridays) anyway given we did not want to drive across the Bay Bridge to bring it to the Oakland Hills. When there was no confirmation that the scooter arrived or a delivery window by Monday of the following week I had to email to confirm it actually got there. Turns out it had, but delivery would be Friday. Made it through nearly the entirety of Friday without hearing from anyone at the store before I reached out around 4:00 p.m. to confirm it was going to be delivered (we had waited most of the day and needed to start going about the business of cooking, eating and honoring social engagements). They indicated it would be and to give it an hour or so depending on traffic (by this point i surmised they forgot or loaded it up and drove it out only in response to the inquiry).Arrived early evening, and it was filthy (covered in dust and black debris on the engine housing) with minor scratches on the body, mirrors (glass and chrome backing), and gravel on the footrest shelf. This was birthday gift and my GF had to ask if it was new or used. I questioned the same myself given the condition. It was a deplorable delivery experience and I only got madder this morning as I had to clean it for our first ride after getting helmets elsewhere (would have a 30% discount at Scuderia, but opted to go elsewhere and not run the risk they would see another penny of profit from me). Don, the manager, was apologetic and said he would give me a detail at my first service. Note it was delivered because we did not want to drive it over the bridge. He is also nuts thinking we would trust them with servicing the scooter if they cannot even deliver it in a careful manner to a new customer. Will be writing Vespa a letter about this dealer as I should not have to chase them on the status of the purchase and delivery and it should not be delivered in the manner it was, particularly when they charge hundreds above destination charges for handling (which apparently does not include even running a rag over a new purchase). If I had known they would deliver the scooter in this condition I would have just ask them to send the crate and I would have unpacked it myself with care. What I really wish I had done was wait the few weeks extra and just had Rockridge Two Wheels order it. Other funny thing is they did not even ask what I ride or if I personally was in the market given I also have a class M (I am in the market for another bike and luckily this crossed Scuderia off my list of potential sources).Cannot recommend this establishment and it looks like this is a common trend in recent reviews. really, really bad experience.
I am upgrading my review from 1 to 3 stars as they have resolved the issue on my bike..I took my motorcycle there because of an electrical falt that is still under warranty. The bike was discharging power. I told them twice on the phone that l had installed a new battery. Then when l took it in they said the battery is faulty. I asked for my original battery back so l could return it to Cyclegear and they said it went to recycling so l had to pay them for a new battery l did not need. Then 3 days later l have the same problem and they realize it was not the battery. They kept my motorcycle for 2 months saying that it could be all these different things then they say oh it is working it must have been a wire issue. Then l get the motorcycle delivered and it still does not work. This service center has no idea. I am not sure how Aprilia authorizes them as a dealer.
Always friendly staff, prompt service, and even for my older bike, they usually have parts in stock.
Just had a great experience getting a brand new bike & a full kit with the phenomenal Sept 50% off deal! Really patient and informative staff, looking forward to putting on the miles!!
I purchased a KTM 790 Adventure from this dealership, and it was a pleasant and painless experience. The staff at other dealerships Ive been to were not as knowledgeable on the products as the staff here at Scuderia, and every employee I spoke to was enthusiastic about the products. On the business side of things, when shopping for a bike it never hurts to ask for a better price, and Alex the sales rep I worked with, was no nonsense and completely forthcoming and honest about what deals he could make and which ones he couldnt. He also offered alternatives on which bikes he had wiggle room on. Great customer service starts with offering alternatives when you cant make a specific deal.Don, the finance manager, is also forthcoming and honest about discounts and deals. These are nice folks, and if youre not barging into the dealership looking to get a bike for half MSRP, youll have a pleasant experience.
Couldnt be happier with my beautiful new Vespa Primavera 150. Everyone at Scuderia is awesome and treats you like family, and they have a passion for the bikes that cant be faked.
These guys loaned men a tool i needed just before closing. Then performed an act if kindness at no charge. We chewed the fat about a bike i had just bought. Plus they carry stuff for Victory. You guys rock
A shop for badasses! I once called them from the road, in rural Nevada, when my bike was broken down, and they helped me get my KTM going again! Made it >1000 miles back home after that. Total bike wizards.
I have purchase three motorcycles through scuderia and their sister company. Out standing customer service as well as great prices.
Awesome experience in buying my used motorcycle at Scuderia
I can only attest to the apparel side of things. I have been here many times looking for gear and always feel welcome. Kennedy is awesome and has helped me with tips and advice multiple times, following up on questions and so on.I am glad they are here and I try to shop locally at the store instead of revzilla as much as I can.
Very good work on my bike. Fair rates given its SF. Not the best mechanics Ive been to, but solid for basic and complicated work.
A+++ great staff in all departments
10 years ago it was my favorite shop, I was a motorcycle guide and I took several riders to Scuderia. Sad but its no longer the golden years of scuderia... The service is the worst I have seen in motorcycle dealers in San Francisco. I left Bishop to repair my motorcycle (which was still under warranty), they gave me an appointment to fix it. Great! And once at Scuderia, they told me that he would not do the repairs. I spent several hundred dollars for nothing and wasting my time. I went to another dealer and they repaired my bike for free.
Basically anytime I go into a retail shop, but especially car/motorcycle/similar I get tight and on guard. Dont take advantage of me! Im on guard! These guys were awesome. They wanted to help me find the right gear for my needs, even if that wasnt with them. Turns out theyre actually a bunch of folks who love all things bike and will just as happily talk adventure videos as the merchandise in their shop. Definitely coming back.
I’ve been going to Scuderia for 20+ years now and it’s consistently been one of the best shops in the entire Bay Area. They always have a great selection of clothing and accessories in all price ranges.....but you can be assured that they stock only the good stuff at all price points, they are very picky on what they carry.Best thing is that the employees actually know their products very well and will educate you based on your specific needs. If you are a first time rider, this is the place to go and get set up with a proper fitting helmet and gear. I try to do as much shopping as I can here vs. the internet as I think that Scuderia provides such a valuable service to the motorcycle community and that they are well worth supporting!Keep up the great work Scuderia!
Great customer service always enjoy my time there.
Do yourself a favor and have a real brick and mortar experience. Excellent selection of motorbikes and scooters and protective gear. Dont be the joker in sneakers with no gloves. This shop will take the time to fit you in a quality helmet and jacket and boots and gloves Be safe out there!
Great place for bikes, gear, parts and service. Purchased two motorcycles and I will make sure to check here first the next time Im looking for a bike. Bought several pieces or gear and parts and the staff has always been knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They are never pushy and are always fair and upfront with their prices and opinions. This is a place full of people who really love motorcycling.
I have bought three bikes from Scuderia, and many accessories. I have always found it to be a welcoming and fun place to go to when you want to just ogle over some new gear, or get valuable info. The staff is particularly helpful and polite.
They have a considerable selection of motorcycle gear. They even have some nice jackets without animal skin (leather).
Can do attitude here. Personal touch and the will to go the extra yard. Found what I wanted when Cycle Gear told me too bad.
Trevor Martin and Kennedy took great care of me. I live in LA and was actually in town just for the weekend and decided to buy my bike and gear from them rather then my local dealer. They were extremely knowledgeable and took great care of me. Even helped get my bike back to LA with all my new gear. Every department was every accommodating getting my new bike set up. To bad I dont have Scuderia West in LA.
Fun shop with unique bikes and gear.
After trying several motorcycle clothing stores around the city, Scuderia gets my vote. The layout is great and mercifully the staff didnt continually harass me after I hinted I was happy trying stuff on my own. Theres clearly a good working relationship among the team which creates a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The selection of gear is excellent so I had no trouble finding what I was looking for and questions were swiftly answered. Scuderia deserved my hard-earned cash, and will no doubt get more in the future.
Fast service. Very knowledgeable. Friendly
Great family owned shop - the employees even joke around like they are related. The entire staff treats you like family too. They have the best selection of motorcycle clothing in the city. If you are looking for gloves, make sure Brian helps you out. Hes the best at finding the perfect set for you. If you need work done, ask Niles to wrench on your bike. He can work on anything from vintage to new. Tip: Check out their open houses for great deals.
$150 an hour for servicing a scooter? Really? Thats more than it costs to service fancy German autos.Ended up paying an exorbitant sum ($200) to just change a tire. $50 for the basic tire and $150 for the hour it took to replace.Youre better off going elsewhere to get it done
Im a new rider and I bought all my gear from SW. Really happy about it. They gave me a discount after finishing safety classes, and provided A LOT of help. Shout out to Brian, man from the staff, who gave an amazing lecture on different helmets and helped with getting a jacket. These guys are awesome!
Awesome selection of bikes and gear. Leo was very knowledgeable and directed me towards the right scooter gear (Im a total newbie). Here you can find everything for your needs including helmets, protective clothing, locks, and so much more. My boyfriend and I are ready to hit the streets after some awesome advice. This is the best moto store in SF!
Could stock more after market parts. Otherwise amazing selection of motorcycles and scooters, great clothing options and well stocked, such a small store with a warehouse worth of products on the floor
If you need motorcycle/scooter gear, this is the place to do it. I was looking for some advice on a jacket and helmet and was fortunate enough to be helped by Leo. This guy really knew his stuff, and clearly wasnt trying to up sell me for commission. He went into great detail about what the different styles prevent against and what kind of fundamental protection any rider should have on the road. The store itself is very clean and has a beautiful array of bikes to admire.
I called and spoke with Trevor. I asked for a price range for a KTM 1290 super adventure. Trevor seemed offended and proceeded to lecture me about people who call and want pricing over the phone. He told me that they were not in the business of losing money. He then offhandedly remarked that he was sorry if he was coming off too strong. I told him he was and wished him good bye.
Great Customer service. The Manager and the finance department helped me to get the bike I wanted making a really good deal!
Had my KTM seat installed here. The customer service was AMAZING. It was my first time there and I will definitely be back. Thanks Alex
Fast and friendly service.Paul and Pete assisted with my purchase.Invited me also to join them on monthly ride excursions.I am learning to ride today.
At the moment, I work at a BMW motorcycle dealership. I can get BMW stuff at a serious discount, and still choose to come here for the gear they offer. Thats not to say BMW gear is bad, just that sometimes I prefer a different style of gear sometimes.Recently I had a pair of Rev-it gloves start to fall apart pretty quickly after buying them from Scuderia, and I brought them back. No questions asked, Sam (the apparel guy) replaced them for me. Thats proper customer service and why they will continue to get return customers.Shop here and stay the hell away from Cycle Gear and their cheap apparel!
Sexy bikes and excellent friendly service, whats not to love?
The staff here are great. Always helpful. They can be booked up for service sometimes, but that’s the only drawback.
Last shop around with a good selection of higher end brands.. Everyone there is knowledgeable is respective areas.
I feel like they dont do priority on walk-in customers and some of the employees are kind of rude
Great guys and good honest service. Never felt pressured to buy and staff was always open to showing you great products
Awesome staff. Great vibe. No need to be a motorcycle pro. Very accessible.
Very knowledgeable on motorcycles (even vintage ones) and Vespas. Good looking shop too and great help
These people are completely incompetent. I took my scooter in for maintenance, told them specifically that I needed them to check my brakes since they had over 7000 miles on them. I got the scooter back, the receipt said that the brakes were checked, but two weeks later Im out riding, and my brakes start grinding. Whats even worse than that, I cant even get the service department to answer their phone to fix the problem that they created to begin with.
Fraudulent Service Department. I recently had a tipped Vespa that they were able to inflate into a Total Loss. When I bought back my vehicle, so that I could fix it myself, they didnt include the components that they removed. Terrible customer service and blatantly unethical. Avoid this service department.
They actually know your name here + 10% loyalty makes me want to shop here vs online
Very friendly staff, great selection of European brands of apparel. Would definitely come back to ask for expertise.
Great motorcycle shop and gear. The staff are always friendly and very helpful.
I drove all the way from Redwood City as I usually do to have professional service for my scooter. This time I had an awes experience. I purchased a tire online because they never have what I need in stock. They charged me $80 instale it. I asked if they were going to balance the tire. They said they would if needed. They did not. When I came home and drove he scooter you could tell immediately that it was wobbly and off balance. When I called to see if they could fix his the manager was rude and arrogant. He told me before even seeing the tire that it was the fault of the tire I bought and why they usually dont do this kind of job. NO ONE said anything about that when I brought the in or when I left. He said why should he have to do the job twice and not get paid.He had a million reasons why it was not their responsibility and only offered to remount it after I toldhim I would write a review on yelp!So disappointing!
Great display,Cool staff
Really great service experience with my RSV4. I will stick with Aprilia because of these guys.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff that always tries to make sure you get the best gear for tge right price
Such a disappointment working with Scuderia shop. I purchased two bikes from them paid in full and brand new. Once the sale was done I was not able to get follow up guidance or much consideration of the disappointing staff at Scuderia. It didnt matter if I spoke to the sales department, the service department or the parts department the response was snotty and unhelpful like some Prima donna. It really screws you up when you buy an Italian import but then cannot obtain the service required on the purchase since they have a sort of monopoly in the region. What a mistake. I suggest caution if you go to this business for any need related to a motorbike.
They helped me look into, and solved a DMV issue I was having with my bike (before I was even a customer). These guys are great - definitely my new go to shop
Excellent shop. Specializes in Aprilias, KTMs, etc. Pretty much the only shop I turn to for any of my bikes.
I brought my scooter to replace front tire and tube. Ok, they charge 76$ for half an hour labor plus materials. I was ok with that. When I came back they made another job for another half an hour pay plus material which i didnt ask for and which wasnt an emergency replacement. They even didnt call me an ask about do I need it at all or not. Not cool for a such high rated service shop. Not coming back for sure.
Good assortment of original cafe racer and city riding gear. Revit, uglybros etc..
Really great energy and people here!
Excellent customer service! Great selection of quality gear.
Friendly and helpful service with a wide variety of cycles and gear.
I bought a new Vespa at Scuderia last month. Pete made the experience fun and easy. He is also extremely knowledgable and entertaining. He should start a Vespa talk show. He knows the product inside and out. Scuderia also provides good service. I had a minor issue after buying my Vespa but they took my scooter in and fixed it in three minutes.
Service dept. goes above and beyond for my Aprilia. Thanks guys!
Super helpful staff with a good selection of gear and parts.
Great people, great customer service great great, great bikes! Love them!
Brett knows his stuff on the service team.
Ask for Pete. Hell take great care of you.
Alex and Mark in the service dept. are awesome!
Bought our motorcycle gear here. All the staff were extremely helpful.
Orders what I needed when they didnt have it on the shelf. It took a few weeks but the stuff made it and was exactly what I wanted.
Great service and lots of beautiful bikes to choose from
Nice people. No pressure.
Very good selection and great service.
Im glad they are in business, They always have the parts in stock for my KTM.
Best shop in the city!
Friendly, knowledgeable, non-pretentious staff.
Always a pleasure working with the crew at Scuderia!
All moto shops should do business like this place.
Amazing service and attention!!
I love this place
Great service.
A lot of choice for motorcycle accessories
Great service staff
Where else in San Francisco for a MP3?!
Great service
Great Store
