A music store with a convenient location in the Sunset neighborhood. It has a good collection of sheet music, and can order those not in inventory.Music lessons for all ages are offered too. It is a great experience to shop and interact with the staff in the Sunset Music store.

I am a piano teacher here in Burlingame and I have been going to Sunset music for many many years and Evelyn is absolutely breathtaking!!She is incredibly kind and she’s one of the most knowledgeable music resources I’ve ever had. For all the years I’ve shopped at different music stores which are all closed except for Evelyn‘s now, I drive from Burlingame to her as she’s so worth it as the time and effort she put into everything and every question I’ve ever asked her musically for my clients has been always responded to!I highly recommend her and her store it’s well worth it!!! Great neighborhood music store. Excellent selection of sheet music. They offer music lessons for all ages here. This is not Guitar Center, they dont have walls of electric guitars, etc, only a few student classical guitars, ukuleles, recorders, and the like. But they provide strings for most classical instruments, reeds, violin supplies, guitar picks, tuners, metronomes...the list could go on. I got all the music books for my sons piano classes here when he was attending the SF Conservatory. I am a semi pro musician myself and have gotten plenty of last minute supplies and sheet music here for my own gigs. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They have never been condescending. They aim to be helpful no matter where you are on your musical journey.

Sunset Music Co. is a helpful, valuable, friendly, much-needed brick-and-mortar resource in this age of ever-changing retail. They indispensably and literally help keep the music going. Online shopping has its advantages, but a physical location like Sunset Music Co. is vital for being able to vet sheet music editions prior to purchase. Long live Sunset Music Co. and its Staff!

Evelyn, whom I believe is the owner of the store, is wonderful. Shes friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and skilled. The store contains some instruments and a wide variety of musical supplies, gifts, parts, music sheets/books. They also provide lessons and repair services (usually while you wait). Evelyn goes above & beyond expectations when servicing my kids instruments. Its my go to place for music education needs.

We always buy the sheet music for piano and flute classes here. Much better to support your small local store than Amazon. In case you havent noticed, not many of the small bricks and mortar places are left.Sunset Music will call you promptly in case your sheet music has to be special ordered. Very friendly!

Really nice staff that help you find what youre looking for. They have nearly everything you might need, from music stands to sheet music, from reeds to rosin. They have instruments there too, if you need. I only go here to get my music needs for over seven years and I highly recommend them.
