Came for a simple oil change at 8am. Got parked and asked to wait for someone to get me registered. 40 minutes later I had to ask for someone to finally register my car. Went to the waiting room since I was told it would be a 1h job. 3h30min later I got my car back. Going back on Thursday for tire change. Will see if they can be slightly faster than 4h for a simple servicing.2nd appointment today. I was immediately taken care of by the welcoming party and my car was ready under 2 hours for a tire change. Andrew even managed to go the extra mile and to reduce the price of my tire by price matching with another supplier. I am changing back my rating to 3 stars.

My Chevy volt was draining battery so wanted to get it checked, Todd Mason was assigned to take care of my vehicle and he did an awesome job!! Not only they fixed my car and replaced the 12v battery that was draining the power but also upgraded the software. Todd was very prompt and kept me posted on the diagnosis on the car, he also offered a courtesy rental car as my car took couple of days to get fixed. I highly appreciate the service provide at this service center and especially thankful to Todd for his great professionalism. I highly recommend this service center for any service needs.

Made an appointment for 9:30 am…. For an oil change….. was told it would take 2 hours to complete….decided to wait on site for the completion…. After 4 hours 30 minutes my car was ready….. Will NEVER go back to this dealership…. Employees could care less about the service and inconvenience of sitting waiting all this time…..….

Went in for an oil change, 3hours latter I was told that I was put into a Q. Meaning people waiting before me had a higher priority than me. Well since I was the only one in the customer waiting room I figured 1 hour. At two hours I texted if I had to wait another hour, Come to my desk. Went to the desk where i had to wait another 20 min because Mike was on another call. Pulled up my incomplete service report. The two above me were not waiting stamped. My reason for having my oil changed is they do a 29 point inspection. Need a boot changed and another brake service. Since my belts were changed 14,092 miles ago, dont know why the have to be changed again. Dont look at previous records or previous service was not preformed. Because of Mike will do service with you again

Booked an appointment 2 weeks before via myChevrolet. I was getting reminders multiple times. When came on appointment time and day, they just couldn’t see the appointment and they can’t take my car for service even after i show them the email with my appointment. Service Advisor cannot accommodate my car for service, Reason they said was capitol chevrolet system is not in sync with GM national database, and it’s not my fault! Really?!! I had to come in the morning just to return back. Worst customer service ever, never will lease or buy the car from this dealer ever.

I had an appointment for Tuesday June 22nd at 8:15 in the morning. Due to my work schedule I decided to drop my 2017 Bolt EV off after work Monday June 21st and leave it overnight to preform the recall software update and pick it up after work Tuesday. I left the car at 3:15 Monday, at 5:20 that same day I received a call that my car was done and ready to pick up.I read countless stories about other owners who took their Bolts to other Chevrolet service departments around the country and had issues with the technicians not knowing how to install the update and causing various issues. Im happy to say my car had no issues. Not only was it completed a day early, it was completed with no issues at all.Im very happy to have 100% range back on my Bolt EV!

I was very disappointed with my service. I scheduled the recall work for my Bolt and the 22,500 service. They did not do the service. I was given an excuse that the 22,500 is mostly visual inspection. I had to specifically ask for my wiper fluid to be refilled. It was refilled with water only. The cabin filter was not replaced. Typically, cars are cleaned upon return. That didnt happen either. The recall was really all that was addressed.

Extremely satisfied with the service provided by Michael who greeted us very professionally and courteously. Michael set us up with Andrew as our service rep. Andrew checked us in and listened to me when I explained the service I needed. He wrote up the work order and gave me the estimate. We were a few minutes early and the car was ready to be serviced about 5 minutes later. Service took less time than Andrew estimated so that was a pleasant surprise. When it was ready we were able to pay our bill promptly and were on our way. Excellent service. Thank you Michael and Andrew.

Took my chevrolet volt in for issues with battery and side detection and Andrew was assigned as the service advisor. I was offered a rental ( chevy bolt) that was super helpful. It turned out to be quite complicated to figure out the root cause, which was eventually due to an incorrect part installed by another body shop. Ended up having to keep the car much longer than expected. But Andrew kept me updated throughout the process and explained in detail what the issues were at each stage. Had a good experience even though time taken was longer.

Dropped my 2018 Colorado ZR2 Diesel for a 45k mile service and a diagnosis for a ticking noise on engine. Service advisor reached out to notify me that they found the source of the ticking noise and that it was under warranty. Part for repair needed to be ordered and I was to have my truck back by end of week. End of week comes by, truck is not complete due to a technician breaking a tensioner during warranty work, that part had to now be ordered. Monday comes around, I receive a phone call from service advisor telling me that my radiator is leaking. Leak source is unknown and the technician is not able to confirm if it is a crack or puncture. Service advisor tells me that if radiator is not replaced by them, it could potentially lead to voided warranty in the future. I painfully agreed to replace radiator and save my old one for me to take home. During this process, it was difficult getting ahold of Service advisor or anyone in the service department for a status update on my truck. Friday, I happened to be in the area and dropped in to get a status update on my truck, since phone calls were not being answered, and found that it was ready. I paid ($2k+), opened the hood of my truck and there were 2 caps missing for the AC system. Opened my rear door and there was a mess from paperwork I previously had in a bag. My wheel locks for the front wheels were not installed and left in my cup holder. What was a one week service took almost a month. Truck was not washed after being told when purchase of truck that due to the high cost of my truck, it will be washed every time I take it for any type of service. I will not be returning to this Dealership for any service/purchase. I have purchased 4 vehicles there in the past 3 years.I will be performing a radiator pressure test to my old radiator to confirm leak.

I am a loyal customer for quite awhile and inflating the prices during this pandemic is not good customer service. Youre taking full advantage of people who rely on your honesty during these troubled times. I took my Bolt there on a Friday to get it inspected after there was a recall about the potentially defective battery. I had an appointment at 8:30am and the person over the phone told me to expect it to take about 2 hours.When I arrived there, I also mentioned I had issues reprogramming a new key fob, they said they would take a look after the battery.I waited there. They actually have a nice room to wait for service, reliable wifi, nice TV, comfy seats, and a nice restroom. I was able to get plenty of work done on my laptop.However, after 3 hours of waiting, I went to see what was going on. They said they had finished their work on the battery, but no luck on the key fob thing. The User Manual said the car should be able to reprogram a fob, but they simply said its not true. They said they would charge me $220 to reprogram a key fob and it would take about an hour.So I kept waiting. After an hour an a half, I went to see what was going on. No progress had been made on the keys. They told me to come the week after and they would do it for free. So after 5 hours or so there, I went home.I came back today and yes, they did reprogram my fob for free, although I had to wait for over an hour again.All things considered, a bittersweet experience. Its frustrating they couldnt tell me why my car doesnt do something the User Manual says it should do. Im also frustrated because Ive spent over 6 hours waiting there over the course of 2 days. However, the waiting room was fine and they gave me service for free in exchange for the unacceptable waiting time.

My 2005 Chevy Equinox had the check engine light on and I took it to the Capitol Chevrolet Service Center. I told them that I just moved to San Jose from Manteca and needed service. In addition to the repair for the problem, I asked to have an oil change and smog and all services needed. I believe in taking care of my car and it will take care of me. Jorge contacted me with every bit of news about the cause of the light being on and what they needed to do to fix that. He was prompt in letting me know the estimated work schedule upon receiving the parts. I felt like he was really interested in hearing about the progress of my car repair. Our experience was very positive. We arrived on time and the staff quickly greeted us. Once the car was checked in and services confirmed we left the car and went home. We received updates and I loved that I was able to prepay online before pickup. As requested they had my car ready to go and i was able to pick-up with zero contact. My only note would be that I wish they didnt make you sign the paper work to accept work to be done...I wish they could make it an online form i could accept without holding a pen that everyone else has been touching...I did use hand sanitizer on it.

I made an appointment to do a basic oil service and a fuel injection cleaning on my Corvette. I just wanted to try out their services department as I had a horrible experience with their sales team a few years back.The check-in process was super simple. However, getting an update on the status of my car was non existing. A two hour job took them over three hours. Also, they did not reset my Oil Life.Missing little details like resetting Oil life reader made my experience not so pleasant and therefore I will not be returning their for other services I had planned.

This dealership is not the place to either purchase your car/truck/suv or get it serviced. When I purchased my truck - compared to my previous vehicles dealership - I was PROMISED that when I paid for any service my vehicle would be detailed/cleaned inside and out. COVID hit and I was told that the sales department could find the money in their budget to keep detailers on their payroll, while the service department somehow could not find the money in their budget to keep detailers on their payroll. I have friends that detail vehicles at dealerships and while sale and service are different departments, the individuals that detail the vehicles clean both new vehicles on the lot and vehicles being serviced, there is no difference. I am so tired of dealerships that will say anything to get you to purchase a vehicle but then lack integrity and do not stay true to their word. Should have went with GMC. Take note.

This location makes you feel like family from checking with Mike Gutierrez to getting vehicle serviced by agent Andrew C. I have moved to Hayward and still make the drive into San Jose for regular services. Staff is friendly and take the time to review recommendations and services performed. Ive had my 2009 Avalanche serviced at Capitol Chevrolet since I bought it there. Mike Lewis did a great job as my service rep from start to finish. My truck badly needed a 4-wheel alignment and after inspection and advice from Mike, they replaced the front brakes. It was a big service bill ($1,254) but that was expected due to the work done.

Took in my 2014 chevy volt (driver side window stop working)on Saturday morning thinking I had an appointment at this location but I had actually mistakenly made my appointment at the StevensCreek Chevrolet. Todd service rep help me out and was kind to tell me he would take me in but probably wasn’t going to get worked on until Monday. He then told me he would provide a ride for me home but I told him I didn’t need because I knew already how chevy worked (took the wife).Joked with him about other dealers and told him the comparisons in customer service. My wife owning a Lexus then a Porsche now and both dealerships customer service is top notch, doesn’t even compare with chevy. Chevy u pull up with an appointment and they ask you to wait then they ask if you have an appointment etc. etc. Porsche on the other hand they are waiting for you to come in and greet you by name offer coffee etc. Like omg royal treatment anyways after joking with Todd he said let me see what I can do for you so I left and a few hours later he called me to tell me my car was ready..Todd thanks a lot for really caring and going the extra mile for customers. Not a lot of people do this now a days. I know who to ask for next time if I need someone honest and willing to try..

I had to get new tires on my 2018 Equinox - I had received a quote from Capitol Chevrolet when I brought my car in for the 30,000 mile check up - so I brought it in on 4/20/2020 - I also had a check engine light on. Mike Lewis was awesome as a service advisor. I dropped the car off he was able to put me in a rental I went home and was called the next day that the tires were replaced and aligned and that the part I needed for the check engine light was ordered. I am super happy with the quality of the service as well as how professional Mike was! I will be back, and not just because I still have to have the temperature gauge fixed. I will go back because of Mike!

Over the last few years I have taken my 2013 Chevrolet Cruze in for misc. repairs. I have always been pleased with the service and reasonable costs. Just recently I had what I thought was a very unusual electrical problem and expected the worst. My service consultant, Jose Chavez listened to my description of my problem and quickly determined the possible cause. The car was quickly repaired and after ordering the required part, had the car repaired and returned to me in record time. While I could service my car at a dealer closer to home, I prefer coming to Capitol, where I bought the car, because of their service group. They clearly and respectfully explain what may be causing the problem and discuss the pros and cons of less and more expensive repair solutions. Unscheduled car problems can be a hassle to get fixed but this service group makes it easier to deal with.

I have brought my Chevy Volt on 2 different occasions within the last one month.1st time was to fix a recall issue and an unrelated rear camera issue and the 2nd time was to complete the periodic paint protection treatment.The 1st time, it took them more than 40 mins to check me in. I understand it must have been a very busy day seeing the number of cars in the service lot. In that case shouldnt they have brought in additional people to help out with the check in process?Once I was checked in, it was smooth sailing with Kurtis being extremely polite, professional and prompt with giving updates for the service. I was satisfied with the service work done.The 2nd time, there was no wait time. I cruised through the whole check in process and Michael got me out in no time. The paint protection treatment was done quite quickly and all arrangements were made for a late pick up. The 2nd time around, I was more than satisfied with the overall service.In summary, there is definite room for improvement for completing the initial check in of the vehicle.

I actually enjoy going to this service center! They are really quick on check-in; e.g. meeting you at the car with iPad devices as you drive up. I choose to wait there because there is free coffee, and reliable free wifi. They are always friendly and do seem to have the customers interest first. Armando Arteaga did a great job finding me the truck I wanted and has always been helpful whenever I needed help or had a question. It took over a month to find the truck I wanted, but it was worth the wait since I got everything I asked for. The process went very smooth and he took the time to find me the best rate for my new loan.
