Greek goddess cream cheese is a family favorite. I moved from San jose years ago and I still find my way to house of bagels when Im in the bay area!!

I got a turkey and cheese sandwich on jalapeno bagel. I took out the tomato and red onion but otherwise the sandwich was really good! Turkey slices were thiccc and juicy. Would return.

This is a very nice little family run operation. No matter how long its been since I visit, I walk in and the father knows my regular order. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. There is often a line of loyal people waiting each day. Sometimes, they even toss in a free croissant or muffin. They have to share the parking lot with a 7-11 in downtown, so sometimes there are some vagrants, but you should go and enjoy.

Good place for bagels and coffee, tho there is a huge line always outside with a wait time of 10-15 mins that’s a bit too much. Coffee wasnt as hot as it should be and they gave french vanilla that made the coffee really sweet instead of regular cream that was asked. Taking one star off for wait time and wrong cream.

Best bagel place in town..👏👏 they have some wait time but which food places dont these days. The staff always double checks the order before paying which is so helpful.

Coffee and Chai are above average! For being a small place they prepare everything really fast! The line is worth it their bagels are delicious and all ingredients are fresh! Their sandwiches are delicious and very filling keeps me coming back. Great breakfast/brunch place

Whenever I land in SJ, HoBag is the first place I go. Easily my favorite bagel spot anywhere.

This is a GOOD, AUTHENTIC bagel. If you’re from the East Coast, this is the best you can find in the Bay Area! I even forgive them for calling an everything bagel an “all in one”. 😆Seriously, check this place out if you want good bagels.

Bagels are fresh and tasty. Service is fast and staff is very helpful. Tried the pesto bagel, have not seen this bagel in other bagel shops so far. One perk here is the ambience you get in patio seats available. Absolutely love it the ambience. We tried pesto bagel and the jalepeno cheddar bagel. Parking is limited.

Got the turkey & cheese pesto bagel sandwich (everything on it) with Chai tea — around $10. The pesto flavor complimented the turkey (thicc slices) really well, and the chai tea had a great spiced flavor. The line can be long (I waited around 15 minutes) but it’s definitely worth it.

They are the best! Family run business and they’ve seen our kids grow up over the past 20 years.

This place is great always a great experience when I go owners are always upbeat even at 6 am. Food never taste blah. If your ever in town must stop great if your a early bird. It gets busy but they are. Quick !

House Og Bengals is the tremendous people are kind and helpful bagels are the most delicious bevels sandwiches so delightful !

Used to come here at least once a week (sometimes every day) when I went to SJSU, so many great memories and sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwiches were had here

Im not a big breakfast person. But, I do enjoy a good bagel every so often and I wouldnt go to any other place for my fix. Yes, they do get busy but its for good reason and well worth any wait. Staff is very friendly and care about their craft as it shows in the quality of the bagels. I would recommend going when they first open if possible as that seems to be the least busy time if you are in a hurry.

House of Bagels is a great spot to go for all things bagels! We tried their bagel sandwiches that come stacked with egg, ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese. They also have a selection of various flavored bagels such as chocolate chip, garlic, and pumpernickel. They have various types of cream cheese they make in house as well. They were out of the garlic so we tried the green goddess flavor (so good). If you are going on a weekend make sure you carve our some time as there is usually a line but it does move fast!

We drove here after looking at the stellar reviews of this place. We ordered the jalapeño bagel and garlic bagel with cream cheese. The jalapeño bagel was really good and soft. Taste was also very good. Garlic bagel tasted good but felt a little hard to bite.

High quality bagels for a very reasonable price. I asked for the ham/cheese/egg with pesto (!) bagel and they handed it to me almost instantly. The taste was just as excellent as it looked, with melting cheese and very perfectly crunched bagels.

I am new to the area, but this place appears to be one of several in the San Jose area. This is a small place, but the bagels were quite good, better than average. Parking was a bit difficult, but much better than City Bagels. If all the House of Bagels have bagels like this, I am definitely returning, but perhaps to one that is more convenient.

Amazing bagels but they have a hard time understanding my order every time. Also they charge you more than the prices on the menu and they dont give you the receipt. But the bagels are so good that I cant stop going back.

Cant recommend this place enough! Everything Ive had here has been delicious and no matter how busy it is, Ive never had an order go wrong. Expect a long line in the mornings but it usually moves quickly. Staff is friendly, they take all forms of payment (even mobile payments), and the coffee is quite good too.

The line is worth the wait I promise. I cant say anything about the coffee as I have not had it yet. Once you go just a few times you are a regular and they know your orders. Give this place a shot if you are in the area and go later in the morning to enjoy their patio and less crowds. Pet friendly outside.

My first time going to House of bagels and by the looks of the girl’s face she didn’t look happy. I decided to stop by since I didn’t see a long line like they usually have every morning. The girl didn’t smile or said a hello. Even though she didn’t said a hello or good morning I still told her hello and no response . The food was great except customer service. Who knows maybe she was having a bad morning but hey at least greet customers . We all have good and bad days but if you are working it only takes a few seconds to greet with a simply hello or smile. I hope she has a better day.

Best bagels in the city!

This place has great bagels! But they charged me 25 bucks for 2 cream cheese and a dozen bagels! When I got to the office I noticed there were only 11 bagels! Ask for a receipt, check the prices, and count your bagels. Im disappointed! The bagels are so good I want to go back but I dont like how they cheat!

Good American breakfast place. Lots of bagel options with a variety of cream cheese. Reasonably priced. We personally tried honey walnut and garden cream cheese with jalapeno cheese bagel. Cozy outside sitting arrangement.

Bagels are good, lines - not so much. I had to wait 40 mins in line for a bagel that took less than 5mins to hand to me & pay.

We miss these bagels so much! My parents bring us bagels every time they come to N.C. The cheese bagel and the chocolate croissants where always the highlight of our weekends (and weekdays)! When were in Cali we always stop at the house of bagels!! Updated--> Enjoying these bagels that flew into NC for Christmas!

Craving bagels? Youll not be disappointed at this House of Bagels place. It it a dear love to San Jose State University students, and it holds a special spot in my heart. The first time I came here, i was so surprise at how good it was, the bagels are freshly baked and all ingredients are made in house. I didnt know the owner was Vietnamese until she smile at me and gave me a cute compliment in Vietnamese ^___^.

Hands down the best bagel place Ive found in the South Bay - even compared to their other sister locations. They have a ton of unique options you wont find at other bagel shops - including their most popular the pesto bagel. Their bagels are much more full and fresh than the others.There is always a line on the weekends but it goes by quick. Service is always super fast and friendly. Just watch out for pigeons outside.

If you are in San Jose, you need to stop by the Hose of Bagels. Their food is delicious, and their coffee is always fresh. Stopped by after 3 years and they still remembered who I was. Always a pleasure being here.

Always a line - ALWAYS. Still, they manage to crank the orders out at an astounding rate, and cheerfully as well. Its good, fast, and a good value for the price. Plenty of outdoor seating, and a few seats indoors, though I would avoid them since you will have people waiting in line bumping into you. Great deals on day-old bagels and pastries.

The long line is there for a reason. Great quality, fresh made bagels. Many flavor options and a seemingly unlimited number of ways to dress them. Above average grab and go coffee and a very capable barista for all your fancy styled drink needs. If you visit more than a couple times, they will remember your last order and will attempt to anticipate your next. The team behind the counter is incredibly well synchronized and FAST. They work very hard to please the customer and deserve generous tips. The out door seating is quite pleasant, situated under a canopy of tree limbs. The folding chairs can get uncomfortable over time, but comfortable wood benches are also available. The place tends to attract a lot of dog walkers from the nearby neighborhood. They are mostly well behaved and the majority of their dogs are small or lethargic Labradors. The best advice I can give is to try and get there before 8am or prepare yourself in advance for standing in line for around 10-15 minutes.

Great place to catch a quick bite. Their bagels are great and warm service. The lines can get a bit long at times so expect to wait a couple of minutes. It is a tiny place with outdoor seating if you would like to enjoy your food there.

Right by my work. I come in every other opening and the bagels are made fresh right in front of you. The ladies are so friendly, fast and polite. Its popular here.

I love House of Bagels! They are fast at the orders and provide fresh bagels every day. Also, they maker their own cream cheese blends to complement their bagel flavors. I recommend the lox closed-face bagel sandwich with a cheese bagel. Super good! They have coffee and cold drinks available too.

I would give this place 4.5 stars - 4 stars for bagels/spreads that are delicious, yet not necessarily the most innovative and 5+ stars for being incredibly inexpensive, quick and friendly. I decided to round up for my review since I think they deserved it.This place is right next to the university, so there is definitely a big student crowd which is fun and keeps the place lively. I also loved the fact that the place is actually house shaped, so it literally is a house of bagels.This place is definitely my go-to quick fix breakfast when Im in San Jose!

Great bagels! Always a great stop for breakfast. The line looks long but the wait isnt usually longer than 10 minutes and its always worth it. Huge selection on the type of bagel, cream cheese, and other breakfast options such as eggs, sausage patties, and cheese. Personally I love getting a pesto bagel with tomato basil cream cheese with eggs and ham.

House of Bagels offers amazing selections of bagels and fillings: pesto, lots of cheeses, meats, eggs, and so much more! This place is always packed, but the service is super speedy and they handle overwhelming amounts of customers well. Their coffee is super cheap and runs very large, which makes this place amazing for good deals, They have a selection of pastries, but as the name obviously states bagels are the best here and run large like their coffees. There is a lack of parking so you may have to be creative with how you get to this place, but worth it.

I come to this place at least 3 times a week amd everyday I am greeted with the nicest attitudes. I am officially a regular so my food is practically done by the time Im at the register. Even before I was a regular, bagels come out fast. So many combinations I didnt even know existed!

HOT & FRESH. Great quality Bagel! Good Pesto Bagel, flavor is off the hook taste like pizza!! Havent tried the Pizza Bagle, so cant compare...Sooo soft, almost miss a crunch in my opinion. Make sure you order cream cheese on side or else it will be soggy.
