I called Friday afternoon and asked if they had any package deals for a deck and speakers. Bashir said he did and to come on down and that he would be able to could get it done the same day!! I was extremely pumped, great customer service. They did a great job... Im loving my sound system!

After a visit to a few other stereo shops in the area and getting unbelievably high quotes and ridiculous mark ups on products and services, just as I was about to give up on finding somewhere to do a simple install along with a wiring harness my car needed, came across Bashir and his guys here at car audio express, sold me exactly what I needed and I even bought a few extra things and gonna buy more from this place for sure, best customer service hands down, super professional and very quick and good work, I’ve found my new stereo shop, if this sounds familiar to what you have experienced give these guys a shot you will not regret it, thanks again Bashir and your installers for making my experience a great one, you’ve got a new customer and I’m referring you guys to anyone who needs stereo work or alarm installs

I am a novice about car audio but something happened with my van where suddenly anything with bass made a horrible rattling/buzzing sound- I called and made an appointment here. Bashir’s customer service is 100% what you hope for when you interact with employees anywhere. He is kind, helpful, and informative and he genuinely wants to provide you with good service, not just try to make money off of you. He offered to disconnect the subwoofer or install a new one. I chose new- it was done quickly and it sounds even better than before. Thank you Bashir. Highly recommend!

Amazing customer service. The person that helped was very informative and helped me realize my needs for my specific scenario. Bashmir Got my subwoofers amp and sundown audio component speakers installed here it turned out amazing it sounds clear after installing my new sound system I had a problem with my cars alarm system doors would not unlock but would lock just fine so I brought my car back the next day and they figured out what the problem was 2 Small wires got disconnected they fixed it in a few hours as they had a whole boat they where doing a complete sound system on they were super busy but they still managed to help me out Im very happy with the quality of work and how they handled my issue with my alarm system

Needed to purchase an alarm for a self install. They were very helpful to determine my needs and they had just what I was looking for. Will be back later for some stereo upgrade gear. The prices quoted to me on all the gear matched the online prices Im seeing, so IMHO their audio gear pricing is reasonable.

I went to this shop, I bought an installation to improve the performance of my battery. I see a lot of bad comments, I think the place is a bit expensive and that can annoy some people who are used to lower prices, and get angry when they dont get it, if you as a customer accept the price you dont have to complain in the comments . In my experience they work well, they have the best brands and if it is more expensive but the work is guaranteed, and I had very bad experiences in workshops with a lower price and in the end I end up paying more, now I prefer to pay more but for a job well done .

I had a wonderful experience with Car Audio Express. Veryknowledgeable on the products they sell. I came in needing 6x8s for my car and was shown many options so, there is absolutely no product pushing! I always recommend buying locally, Car Audio Express is one of those reasons.

This place is great! I went around San Jose looking for the best price for a subwoofer and Car Audio Express Had it all. Bashmir and the technicians were very fast and very professional, leaving me feeling acknowledged and comfortable with the choices I made. The store was amazing as they had a great display of many honorable speaker companies. I recommend calling for a quote/ seeing if they are busy (if you want it done that day).

The negative reviews Ive seen on here dont do this place justice. they were straight to the point, equal or better priced than other places, and did great work. i definitely recommend this place for your automobile installation needs, i had a 3305V viper alarm installed on my 02 mustang gt, great price and great work!

I had them install a pair of speakers last year and because they did a good job, I visited them again with my new car. They were very helpful and listened to my needs. In the end they gave me a great price and another great experience. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest and helpful business. Those traits can be hard to come by these days.

I went to this shop to inquire about service on my car stereo. They told me appointment only and that they needed to charge my credit card, which isnt refundable, without doing any work. Obviously I told them to kick rocks!! How arrogant, they are other more consumer friendly places to get car audio service. What a Joke of a place!!

Good service, fair pricing. I used their services couple times and was satisfied in general. Once they tryed to install Pioneer on my car but couldnt make it fully functional so they didnt charge me. They have very good customer support however on my opinion their installers have only basic knowledge or average at most.

So I just stopped at the shop to see if I can get my stereo system adjusted a little bit and to see if I can buy some better wiring instead the manager owner of the place tells me that hes not even going to look at my stereo system or help me out even if I pay him because I didnt buy all of my stuff from him. So I understand that I didnt buy my equipment from one person but it doesnt mean that you dont install car stereo systems and you cant do a service for someone when theyre going to pay you money. Ive been at many stereo shops and other shops where people with their knowledge will help you out a little bit even for free I was going to pay him and he still didnt even want to do anything its not like he had anyone in the store and that place is dead now I see why the guy is not helpful and he doesnt even want to do anything unless you buy all your brand new equipment from him. Just go to Best Buy or somewhere where they actually care about their customers satisfaction and they actually have a reputation to hold

Dont bring your car here for anything itll come back with broken parts. My Bluetooth on my stock radio doesnt work anymore and my power door buttons stopped working too. I brought it up to the manager and he denied everything and gave an absurd amount of attitude and was very passive aggressive. Dont come here

Team at Car Audio Express was super helpful. Needed retrofit speakers for two (2) cars I own. In both cases, they worked with me to determine best fit with minimal modifications, and value for dollar. Didnt try to up-sell me on a bunch of stuff I didnt need or want (extra amps, subwoofers, etc). Highly recommend.

Bashir helped me out, would definitely recommend coming here. Im an auto Tech with a new born so, I dont have time to install a whole system. I decided to get it done here. I was talking to Bashir about possibly getting a Hi-Res set up in my Z. He gave me options, explained benefits and so forth. We decided on a 60w system, get it installed the next day. I was I bit disappointed with the loudness so we talked about upgrading to Alpine type r speakers and a supporting amp. Get it installed and Im blown away. Awesome results and great customer service. . This review is done 3weeks after install. . I reviewed install and I gotta say everything was installed correct and professionally. Good job guys!

This is the only car audio shop I will go to for installation. They installed my whole system into my new 2011 challenger and then took it our of that and put it into m 2012 challenger and today I will be taking it out of my 2012 challenger and putting it in my 2013 challenger. I never have a problem with my system and they always help me out whenever I come in ...I also just purchased a new amp form them which the price wasnt the lowest but it has a warranty and it makes my system sound so much cleaner.... I would definitely recommend the install your system! they are they only ones I can trust!!! the installer is GOOD and knows what he is doing!!

Well where do I start? I got my alarm installed here about three years ago! Twice I had minor issues with it,like my car sometimes would not start,unless I pushed the unlock button twice to reset the alarm so the starter kill would disable! Took it in once,nothing was found to be wrong!I actually had a good experience for the initial installation,but when I went back with problems..it was a different story! My car stopped and would not start! I towed it to my mechanic shop,thinking it was a mechanical problem! Upon working on it for two days, they bypassed the alarm,and it started! They suggested I go to my alarm installer.I returned to Car Audio Express receiving nothing but negativity! They said..somethings wrong with your car,not the alarm! They reluctantly checked it out,and while it was in their shop,it stopped running again! They told me there was nothing they could do! So I went out front to call a tow truck,during that time they pushed my disabled car outside of their shop and basically left me to fend for myself!After calming down,I was able to start my car and drive it home! The next day I took it somewhere else, and had them check the alarm out! They found a loose wire,and a few other things! They checked the entire installation out,thoroughly tested the system,and it now is fine! The next day,unfortunately the alarm malfunctioned again,I then requested for the entire alarm to be removed,and it was done. They are sending it back to Clifford for replacement! My car is now running with no issues...a bad alarm Car audio Express could have removed,and done the same thing,but I had to go else where to get justice!The moral of the story: After sales service is as,or more important than the initial installation! When your spending money,everythings all good! Even though this alarm has a lifetime warranty,I couldnt get any help at all! after the fact! Part of the problem might have been the original managers that help me at first where no longer there,who knows? Still no excuse,customer satisfaction is everything!Bottom Line: I wont be back! Patronize here at your own risk!

They responed to my quote request for instillation very quickly, Other places did not even reply. They found the latest model of stereo and alarm to install, asked the right question to find the features that I wanted to keep from the factory installed stereo.Every feature that I wanted installed in the new unit was done in a professional manor. I can not even tell that this is a new unit it looks like the car came that way.I am very happy with the work that they did.

I came to see the audio shop because I need a part for my music, and the shop was opened, I talked to the owner and he acted like my Service wasnt needed, he was talking to me like he had a problem with a Attitude, then told me he gotta make a run so I gotta come back in 15 minutes, Im like you know what I need why not just ring it up, then he go ask is Im paying with cash? He lucky I really need the part because I didnt like the way he was talking to me, never would go there again.

I just bought a 2017 Ram 1500 SLT truck and took it Car Audio Express to have the entire entertainment system upgraded. I knew i would upgeade the stereo so i made sure to purchase a truck w as little factory upgrades as possible. I brought in two pairs of infinity 6x9 door speakers, and a set of tweeters to be Installed.At the shop i purchased a kenwood xeleron amplifier, kicker L7 Q 12in sub, 1200 watt kicker class d amplifier w bluetooth gain control, kenwood xeleron 6.8in head unit w wireless mirroring capabilites.I am a huge music lover of all genres so i needed a very balanced and adaptive stereo system. The manager told me about this new DSP module that is designed to harmonize the stereo system. In laymans terms this is a digital equalizer that allows the technician to fine tune each amd every component so they are all hitting at the same time and nothing is lost.I also had them install a fuel cell which is a new style of capacitor that functions much more efficiently than a regular capacitor.They installed everything super cleanly, called me about any hick-up that occured to make sure i gave the ok and new what was going on. In the end this system knocks like crazy and no matter what music im playing everyone asks what i have had done bc my stereo sounds like no other. Cant wait to bring them my camaro next.

Love this place! Have had a couple small installs here and have had nothing but great experiences talking to Bashir and his team. Wont go to another audio place anymore. Super glad I found this place.Just a quick note, Bashir mostly deals with higher end brands and quality products... And his knowledge and experience match. Dont come here expecting to get a $70 Pioneer stereo and cheap speakers. Definitely do expect to get good value and and service for what you get!

If I can give NO star I would. The way they run their business is completely unprofessional. I came in to recalibrate a IID last month and told me I needed to make a full payment or else they wouldnt to the calibration. Okay, went and put 75 bucks on a prepaid and charged me a $1 and still did my calibration. I return this month (keep in mind I paid for the calibration in advance on the 8/24 over the phone) and told me I hadnt paid although I had recepits. I rechecked and realized they had charged me a dollar, they said they dont have control over what amount they enter in their computer but as I was overviewing the process the box wasnt blocked out to input a price (had talked to Smartstart over the phone and said they have control in terms on accurate pricing.) I tried explaing to one of the mechanics the whole debacle and if that were the case then they could charge me a dollar again like they did prevously and do the calibration. Had gotten off the phone with smartstart and told me they had left a note for them to do it anyways for the confusion but the owner (an older middle eastern man) came towards me aggressively, pretty much inches away from my face and yelled at me saying to watch my language although I wasnt swearing at all and told me to leave his shop in a very threatening tone that required me to call police because I under the impression that this was the only place to calibratemy system.. I had to go to 2 different locations after that took me till 5 pm to finish, had started at 9am to get it recalibrated. Its really fault on the mechanics and Smartstart end. These guys never want to take fault in their own mistakes. There was a time previously where one mechanic miswrote on a dmv iid form that required me from the DMV to return to their location to rewrite the paperwork again. Mechanic said that it was something on my end that I did but when he rewrote it again he made the same exact mistake and had another representative write the DMV IID form correctly! Extremely rude and terrible business practice. The guy at the desk is really nice, its the mechanics and owner that were just unprofessional. There definitely will be some legal action taken, I just hope people see this and think twice about doing business with these people.

I purchased and had installed a complete system: new fancy 2-din deck, replacements for all factory speakers, nice, big 5-channel amp, 10 subwoofer with enclosure. The whole process was quick and painless. These people are very knowledgable, honest, courteous and efficient. I was even given a ride to/from my home, which was over 30 minutes away. They managed to beat the online prices for all components and charged a vary fair fee for installation.HIGHLY recommended. Thanks guys.

July of this year I had the wiring done for my amp and my 12 subs, it cost me $140.00. I was told if there was any problem the would fix or replace for free. Three weeks later my car caught on fire because they ran the wrong gauge wire for power. I came to them and showed them the damage and they refused to fix or even take responsibility. I reported to my insurance and $5000.00 later my car is now fixed. No thanks to Car Audio express!!! The was the worst of it but before the fire I was talking to manager owner about finance options and cost, I was about to purchase $2,020.00 worth of equipment at $197.00 every two weeks for 12 months! Do the math this would have cost me over $5000.00, that is rediculous interest! Interest is more than the purchase?! Sounds like extortion to me!!!!

If you want bad quality & poor sounding sound system go here.Brought in my 2004 mustang to have new kicker speakers & a sub put in. They installed my deck & wired my system a while back when I had stock speakers everything sounded ok. the new speakers and sub I installed was kicker high quality you can hear everything . I started to have static & popping noise. They temporarily fixed the problem the problem came back. So I took it to another audio shop. They told me that car audio express sold me cheap wire kit & rca cables. Also they put power wires, negative wires & rca together then zipped tied them. Lazy poor job. Payed over 2,000$ total. (DONT GO HERE.)

I had this company install a dashcam wire for me and they just installed the wire and wrapped it around one leg of a Mini fuse and put it in-place of the Mico fuse that fits the car. Toyota refused to work on the electrical panel until it was restore to factory.The worst part of the installation is that they wired the camera to the wrong side of the fuse so it was hooked up with out any protection and would have melted the wire if it had shorted, possibly causing a fire under the dash.I have had this corrected and installed correctly. They charged me $90 to badly install this wire and did the job wrong and unsafely. I have pictures of the original install. They also put a larger fuse in the original circuit than is allowed.

Second Review:The following incident Thursday May 31 2018 is that upon asking the merchant for past invoices (for example in the event you want to know if your item is under warranty or provide proof of purchase) regarding purchases and services done at Car Audio Express to my vehicle where I was told were not available and not within their system at the store, this indicates that if you lost or misplaced your invoice and have a defect in equipment or services provided youre out of luck since its not possible to retrieve information on your past purchases even if you are a repeating customer. Many retailers have the option to look you up by contact info (my phone number was incorrect) or by the card used at the time of purchase...First Review:This is regarding my Progressive lease at Car Audio Express( a leasing option provided by the merchant) where I was told that I could pay a 55.00 one-time fee and buy the equipment interest free by simply making payments off my bank account every 2 weeks for 90 days.After paying the one time fee of 55.00, I was told by Bashir that my payment(s) had been configured for 90 days deducted from my account every two weeks and that I would be paid in full by December 2017 interest free. The cost of rental with this option paid off in 3 months was 559.26I was not interested in the leasing option for 12 months, as I was told that it was a high interest option and yet I was capable of paying cash at time of purchase. I gave it a shot at the way it had been presented to me.Past the 90 days which would have been in December 2017, I noticed that Im still being debited from my bank account and it was late Janurary 2018, so I called Progressive Leasing and made an inquiry why I was still being debited from my account if I was told the equipment should be paid in full by December 2017. I as I had agreed.I asked Progressive Leasing to send me the agreement and I come to find out I was signed up for a rent to own price of 1063.26 instead of what was quoted at 559.26. This was the price of nearly two items purchased! Anyone who is reasonable would find that not acceptable!When customer relations from progressive leasing escalated this issue I was told by email that I was called by the customer relations manager and that the number they had on file was unreachable, 408-248-XXXX .I dont understand why I was paying nearly double of the cost and the phone number listed on the application was not the number that I have always provided multiple times at this merchant, 408-621-XXXX.I then searched for the signed agreement confirmation dated 9/15/2017 in my email where the final copy should have been and I come to find there was NO copy of the agreement by attachment in an email dated 9/15/2017 4:55 PM, where it specifically states Attached is a final copy of the Agreement. The rest of the message is left blank. I also escalated this.I have all the documentation and emails to provide in the event its needed as proof that there was a discrepancy between what I was told and what was done without my authorization, aside from using the wrong contact information.I am waiting on a resolution from the manager from the customer relations team where she seemed to take my complaint seriously minus having a totally wrong number on file.

I had Bashir talk me into an install for a new security system. He sold me on it being installed correctly. I’ve called dozens of shops and stopped into one recommended by Viper, who noted that the install was not done correctly. Bashir told me they had to bypass the factory system, which was noted as not correct way to install the system since it should work with the factory system.He also had me talk with the technician who was extremely rude, and I come to find out he was fired by the other shop for obvious reasons. When he sent a mobile tech to work on my car the result is my AC no longer operates as normal, with a hissing sound coming from the condenser and no cold air. It is my opinion that the tech did something while under the hood to cause this.I’ve escalated my problem to Viper who is giving me options to resolve. In the meantime I had to deal with Bashir going back on what was discussed at the time of install and trying to justify the bad install. He also told me to not use the door lock on the car is normal and it was standard to only use the remote, which I told him was not possible. Luckily the right information from Viper and professionals is that a door lock should not interfere with the system to cause it to fail. Even the valet button was not working, so if I wasnt close to home there would be no way for me to resolve. It took him 45 minutes to figure it out and bypass.The other shop mentioned that they would test the factory system at time of install, which was not done. Furthermore there were cables left unplugged and overall a poor job done on installation upon visual inspection.Bashir stood by his work, and not only did he do a poor job, he went as far as to place the blame on me when they didn’t do the standard procedures on the install.He also said he doesn’t own the shop, and I found out his Dad does. How he can act like that with a family business is beyond me and I will never take my car here ever. I would strongly recommend not using Car Audio Express or feed into the lies of Bashir.

Very poor quality when it comes to instilations and customer service. Also seem to lack knowledge of simple wiring set ups... considering they believed my speakers were blown out when in reality they didnt hook up the correct wired through the radio, in fact. They even forgot crucial wiring to the radio to speaker set up. Very dissapointed in the quality of their work and prices are outrages for terrible service.
