You get some luck on the clothes, but if youre lookng at service that moves at a glacier pace, than this is your place. Ive never seen such a sedated set of employees. Bazzar.
I got many cloths for less then I would else where and they had a nice variety
They Only take designer/high end stuff and they’ll offer you a miserable price for your stuff.
Out of all of the crossroads I have been to (nyc, chicago, Washington, California, Oregon) THIS IS THE BEST. The only location I’ve seen with a variety of sizes and style and prices. You can tell that the store manager knows what they’re doing as far as managing, buying, training and styling. This location is more out of the way for me than the SE location but I have never found more than 1 thing to purchase at any crossroads besides this one!!!As a buyer and a seller I am always so happy every time I stop by here. Definitely my favorite place to shop in person in Portland.I do wish there was more designer items like bags or wallets but I understand it’s based on what people bring in at the time! Love this place. 10/10
Great, constantly changing selection and nice staff.
Macy P helped us out and was super sweet and friendly. Last time I visited a (different) crossroads they missed a security tag I couldnt remove myself so she took care of me with that and was a lot of fun to have check us out at the of the visit.
Customer service is not their priority. Quality of items has really gone downhill and for the few select items of good quality, they are overpriced. With Covid its been awhile since Ive been there and now it will be a true hot minute if ever of my returning.
Great for shopping if you’re not looking for anything specific or don’t want to spend a lot to be trendy. When selling, curating your load will help make sure you get more. The website says what they’re looking for and they’re pretty clear about what they take (and will gladly explain why they are not taking stuff).
I came in with two bags of barely worn Zara, Banana Republic, Mango, etc. and was told that those styles weren’t selling well. They didn’t buy a single thing. The next day, I went to the Hawthorne location with the same two bags and they bought six of my items and complimented my style. I like Crossroads but will not be selling at this location.
Decent mens selection but the sizing! Oh boy.. a disorganized mess. Things in the wrong sections, things tagged as a different size than they are.. everyone was very nice but the mens section needs major TLC
This place is amazing! I got a NEW pair of Lulu lemons for sixteen dollars! They were originally 108$
Arwen helped me she was amazing good conversation when I come I make sure she’s the person to help me thank you 5 stars for sure
Great selection of second hand apparel at reasonable prices. Well organized sections offer stylish choices for men and women. Clean environment with multiple fitting rooms. The shoe selection surprised me and I purchased a pair of dark grey extra tall pf flyers with 12 rows of laces holes. Lots of compliments! Only $10! Thanks Crossroads!
I have been there twice to sell some semi-new clothes. Every employee is different and if they feel like buying your clothes, they will otherwise you can take your clothes with you. I would have the lead manager to watch how the employees are judging whether if they should buy clothes or not or put a sign. Sorry, we are taking any more clothes I dont recommend this store to sell your clothes. Even an almost Like new clothes they made a lot of money of that, and you made nothing. Stay away from this business.
Sold clothes here and the staff was extremely friendly. Plus, they paid a great price for everything! Ended up trading everything in for new clothes and shoes. Win-win.
Took a few womans and mens clothing in, they accepted about half of it. But they paid more than expected. It was a pretty quick process as well. One of the things I would of liked to see is the employees being more welcoming and helpful. Nobody said anything to me the whole time I was there except the girl working the selling section. Which isnt in the front, its around the corner. She had to yell over to me to help me. There were several male employees that were trying on shoes and looking at clothes. Also nowhere to sit and wait..But overall it was a good experience if youre going to sell items.
Went in today, asked an employee where the shoes in my size were located, she pointed to the section, but not before rolling her eyes at me. Not sure if she has a resting face syndrome, but she appeared to be giving customers dirty looks throughout my time there, barely interacted with any of us, and any time she was asked a question, she gave a rudely short answer, again accompanied by an eye roll. I asked another employee if I could speak with their manager as I was sure this kind of service would be intolerable to management. Lo and behold, she turns out to be their store manager. I had to laugh. I enjoy crossroads, but Ill be going to their other location in se where the employees are actually friendly and make customers feel welcomed. Not sure what they were thinking hiring someone so inept at customer service to lead a team of customer service people.
Nice selection for a used store. They have both men and womens clothing. More womens, of course.
Really nice people, good prices paid for used items. They pay 1/3 of their intended resale price in cash. For Citizens of Humanity jeans I received 8$ per pair. For Sorel boots and Paul Green loafers I received 16$ per pair.Although that is about 1/10 of what I paid, I was happy to get some money (rather than the nothing I would have received from donating). One thing I liked was that they write your name down and text you when they are ready to buy your clothes, unlike some resale stores that make you wait (holding your clothes) in a long line.Tip- They don’t buy out of season clothes. So the summer dresses I brought in (tags still attached) were rejected.
I really love this place. They tend to get really high end items and they price them at a great point to where theyre affordable and yet the seller is still making money. And they are always really, really nice!
Slow took forever. I left before they helped me which they didnt si a complete waste of time. And shoved my clothes in a space that was so small that they got all wadded up in a ball.
I usually like coming here to sell but today was a different story. I was second in line and the person ahead of me had a large bag- that’s fine bc sometimes I bring a lot of things too. But they proceed to let the person after me ahead of me and when I told the worker that I was second she just proceeds with ‘well I just got here so I’m not sure’. Hello! The list has names and you take everyone’s IDs. Have some urgency! The manager is busy service a homeless lady when clearly she knew I was waiting. My patience ran thin and when checking out I was given ten $5 bills, when clearly there was plenty of other bills in the register including a $50 bill. To top it all off they couldn’t move fast enough I got a parking ticket as I walked out. High five crossroads.
Have you guys gotten a new manager yet??? I used to frequent this place ALL the time, but my friends and I haven’t patroned the shop for a little over three months now because we simply can’t stand the manager. She is unprofessional, very rude with an immature personality and lacks the mature tact you would expect from a manager. I honestly don’t understand why she works in a clothing store. She evidently hates her job. She evidently hates questions about her job. And she evidently isn’t too keen on anything to do with customers- period.
You never know what you are going to find. Always good to take a peak. Good selection of mens and womens clothing, bags, accessories and shoes.
I went in to sell some stuff and the “manager” was going through my belongings telling me about how they don’t take this or that, I was fine that maybe my more dressy style isn’t your style but I also suspected she was lying. When she pulled out some heels I wanted to sell she told me that they don’t buy heels because they don’t sell but when I looked around on the shelves I saw tons of heels so what is it? Then when I went to get monies for the few things they did buy I saw the staff treat a younger girl and her mother in a not too friendly way. Overall it was just a very unpleasant experience and I more than likely won’t be back.
Generally pretty good stuff to choose from. Sometimes they seem to have a down cycle where the quality isnt as amazing. For example, one month they will have lots of designer jeans, and the next month its Levis and stuff from H&M. H&M is already cheap enough, why buy it second hand?
I love this place been going here for a couple years, great deals on shoes great deals on activewear my wife also loves this place if you havent been you should check it out
That was a big disappointment. Drove over an hour to get here after a 12 hour shift.. $5 bucks for parking. I dont think I have ever felt so uncomfortable in a friggin clothing (thrift at that) store ever before. Found two items I liked and was gonna buy but this employee, manager maybe? was overbearingly breathing down my neck it felt like, with a every 3 min countdown to closing.. Exactly at 8.. Mmm okayyy weere closed noww, so if you want to purchase anything ill help you at the fronT. I just set my items down and walked out. Ive never had a retail person ruin a thrift store shopping experience for me before. Lol odd.
I like this store alot, I always spend a lot of money here; but the thing I cant stand the most is the manager here. Shes very rude, she gives you very ugly looks, doesnt greet you, and when asking a question shell almost make you feel dumb for asking and feel rushed as if youre wasting her time. Ive been coming here for a year now. I find great items and great deals, Ive never had an issue with an employee. Most are sweet and helpful other than the manager... last week is when I decided to write a review. I walked in and was not greeted by her of course. Being stared at while Im shopping around. Watched her rudely tell people that she wasnt accepting clothes or something on the lines of that. Anyways find some really cute shoes 40 buck I notice a huge rip in them. Thought Id ask if I could get a discount. She basically said to come back in a week and they would be marked half off... like what? I have to come back in a week to get them half off, for what; why not now? Im just like whatever at this point watching her smile and getting satisfaction from it. I dont complain, I just say okay thanks. Made me wanna leave all my clothes that I like but I bought $175 that day to support a a great company but I do not wanna support that manager... if I go next time Ill ask for her name, shes never wearing a tag.
Nice selection, fair pricing, store not stuffed with merchandise and friendly staff
I have been selling quality used gear here almost 3 years. Since the new manger has started working atleast when she is on they buy nothing. Mind you I brought in new shorts with the tags and was told very politely that they dont need them at this time. Now was it a race thing idk but summer used store new product. You can figure it out for yourself. I dont recommend anyone of color to sell or buy from that store. Other than that experience prices are fair selection decent. Manger in my opinion a racist bigiot and has no bidbess looking like a linebacker in tight cloths.
Don’t let the manager, who is obviously not a fan of the life that shes made for herself, deter you from finding an amazing deal on upscale clothing/accessories that might otherwise be out of your budget. Other then the manager, the staff are especially nice and helpful, almost as if their acutely aware (how could they not be) and have almost certainly themselves been the focus of her special brand of managerial expertise and witnessed first hand her less then steller customer service skills and want to make up for it. It seems as if the rest of the employees are, thankfully, a direct parallel to the manager. As far as the clothing/accessories offered here, I would say their offerings are geared towards the 16-35 demographic. Mostly major brands, fast fashion, mixed in with some vintage. Including: streetwear (stussy, Palace, The Hundreds, Obey etc.), athletic (Nike, Adidas, Puma, Champion etc.) skateboarding/snowboarding brands (Primitive, Vans, Burton, Nike sb, Grizzley, Volcom etc.) Also youll find more conservative brands (Abercrombie, American Eagle, Armani Exchange, Gap, Levi) they also offer vintage clothing that brands and style vary on each piece. Also, available are accessories that usually include a wide selection of hats and beanies, belts, bags, purses, wallets, back packs, messenger bags, sunglasses, scarves, also a small section of jewelry and trinkets such as pins and buttons, stickers, patches etc. Their buying experience is laid back and a quick run down of it would be, they take all the clothing you bring in that your hoping to sell, while they let you know what their looking for and what condition they want the clothing to be in that would be interested in purchasing. Then they tell you that your free to look around the store and wait or they can take your phone number and notify you when they are done going through your items. When their done they return the clothing to you they decided they werent interested in, sometimes with a short explanation on why they passed on them and then they inform you on how much they would like to offer you on the items they did want to purchase, the break down is they give you 30% of what they are going to list your items for in their store. Or they give you the option of turning that money into in store credit with the incentive for doing so being receiving instead 40% of their listing price for your items in credit instead of the 30% youd receive in cash. You must have valid ID to complete this process. All in all Id say if your younger or youngish and on a budget or would simply like to get alot more for your money regardless of how much of it you have to spend, and you like the wide selection of clothing offered here, you can make your dollar stretch alot further by stopping here to see if you can find a great deal on something youd purchase for alot more else where or to find something to compliment your existing wardrobe at affordable prices. Most of the clothing here is in EUC or even New with or without tags. The shoes selection stands out with a good selection of new or almost new shoes, alot of times you can find sample shoes, hard to find exclusives especially in athletic shoes, youll routinely find Jordan retros, KDs, Lebrons, Air Maxes, NMDs, Stan Smith etc. that are sometimes priced 3 or 4 times below their retail prices. I know this was long winded but hopefully it helps someone find a great deal and gives them an alternative to paying full price at the mall or another retail chain. As well as giving them a way to get things they want while having the money they spend go to support a local business. Get the same clothes as those stores, or alot of times better, for alot less!
I always find a gem or two in this treasure trove.
Place is chill nice people and clothes are amazing 👌💯
The selection is okay. On rare occasions it is amazing but it really ebbs and flows. The selling process is longer than other places. Ive usually spent 20-30 minutes in/out.
Very expensive for used clothing. About 80% of their store is sizes XS to Medium. I had trouble spending my $25 gift card because barely anything fit my size 12 body. And honestly, it wasnt really my style of clothing. It was all designer brands in nice condition, but kinda ugly. They did sell new jewelry up at the front and it was nice, but expensive. I got a small unicorn patch for $10 and a small wristlet purse on sale for $18. I didnt try to sell to them, so I cant comment on that. All the employees were very nice and helpful, so no complaints there. They even stayed open 15 minutes late to let everyone in the store checkout and helped me pick out items that were cheap enough for my giftcard.
The staff were very friendly and explained the whole buying process. I find their selection much more suited to young professionals and slightly higher quality than Buffalo Exchange. They still have a mix of very trendy, but have more JCrew, Anthro, Theory, etc. Overall pleased with the selling and buying experience, would recommend.
One of my favorite consignment shops. They have really great stuff at reasonable prices.
I always find something here that i love and is a great deal! Found this dry fit nike tank for 12 bucks.
Always very friendly sales rep great customer service and great deals
Nice people, usually my go to spot for any thrift shopping. They have a little bit of everything.
Selection is on point, and the staff has that famous Portland friendliness. No complaints.
Came here twice with nearly New Columbia sportswear Titanium and other in style fashion and they didnt want any of it. Yet the clothes they sell look worse than at Goodwill. Plus the Chicks here are working off a combined IQ of 90. Trashy overpriced lard farts.
Very friendly staff and inviting. Lots of good selection and variety.
The employees were under-trained&extremely judgmental. It was the worst experience Ive had at a clothing retail/exchange establishment.
My best fitting jeans for $20!
Great selection of trousers with great prices and tops too but bit overpriced
You might find really good stuff. I did.
Fancy consignment at its best lots of styles to choose from plus you can sell your own Brand name designer fashions
Really good prices on some items. Compared to where Im from, this place has a veritable cornucopia of second-hand stitchery.
Great selection of new and used clothes. Fair buyers.
They didnt have a very big selection and it wasnt very cheap
Cant believe the amazing deal I got on like new 501 levis . wow!
I really love this place. I can actually find clothes that fit here!
Clothes may be nice, but customer service is far more important. Rude, rude, rude.
Friendliest staff in Portland, hands down.
I didnt make a purchase but they had reasonable prices but If you are larger than an XL in mens good luck finding anything.
Good finds at reasonable prices
Too expensive but good quality clothing.
Lovely place
Designer brands for pennies on the dollar.
Love love love
