I was pretty pleased with the overall experience with them. Communication was clear, they accomodated the motor I requested at no additional charge, and they were also able to offer me a military discount (which is not super common in the bay area). They were able to complete the job in a very timely fashion. Price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

About 1 hour after I called for the service, my garage door springs replacement was completed. It is amazing fast. In addition, the fee is pretty good and the technician refused the tip.

The next day the estimator came out and made additional measurements, and we scheduled an install appointment 2 days later.The installation crew arrived on time and installed the garage quickly. The job was clean and professional. They explained the operation and cleaned up the work area prior to leaving.Throughout the entire process Five Star communicated every step of the process through email and over the phone. Communication is important and found that helpful.You know how some contractors or sales people leave you with that uncomfortable feeling (like you are being deceived). Five Star Garage wasnt like that. They were professional from start to finish. I highly recommend them.

The pricing was very competitive and the installation was prompt and quick. The installation person was patient enough to explain how things worked with the new opener we bought and even suggest ways we could help bridge the gap at the bottom of our door since our garage floors are bowed.The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because the windows that came on the doors were pretty dirty - i even commented to that effect with the installation crew but it was not cleaned. its no biggie to clean (hopefully) but its that attention to detail that distinguishes a service from being 4 starts vs 5!

We had a broken garage door spring that needed to be replaced. I called Five Star garage door service and talked to the owner, he gave me a quick estimate on the phone which was both accurate and very reasonable. He was also very flexible with my time schedule and could do it the same day. we set the time for 5:00 p.m. the next day and the crew arrived even 10 minutes early. they were courteous and professional, and the springs were replaced in less than 30 minutes. They answered all my questions and even checked/serviced/lubricated all other moving parts of the garage door. My garage door opener stopped working and I called Five Star Garage door service based on positive feedbacks on web. The technician just looked at the door opener and immediately suggested replacing the unit. He quoted a hefty sum for the replacement. I was not sure about replacing the unit since the technician did not provide any explanation. He collected a service fee and left. The next day I called another service. They replaced a broken capacitor and the unit started working again. I called up Five Star garage to get an explanation and the technician hung up on me. Avoid this company if you can

Garage door used to jerk while opening, technician determined the door was close to wall unable to lift/open after disengaging door opener. Made the adjustments and it looks good now.

We asked for Five Star to replace our old garage door and he came very timely. The whole job was very smooth and he was very professional, knew the in and outs of the garage and did it as fast as he could. Quick clean up after the job. Everything worked fine and its been more than half of a year. We would call for their help again.

Last week when I was heading out for work, my garage door would open about halfway and then go back down. It did this about a half a dozen times until I went inside to decide who to call. Five Star was there within an hour and diagnosed the problem quickly. The track was bent. They were able to correct this and had the door opening completely in no time at all. Garage door hinges were coming off due to wear and tear and I called Five Star Garage late last night and got their voicemail, but a few minutes later, Khoi returned my call. Spoke to Khoi briefly about the problem and he was able to have someone come out the next day in the morning which was great. He gave me a window between 8am-9am and Jonathan who came out to service the garage arrived a little before 8am. Ive done business with this company in the past and they are very prompt, getting a hold of them and communication is also great. Jonathan was great, he looked at the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. There were a few loose screws on the hinges after the job was done, so I called Khoi and he was able to get a hold of Jonathan and he returned to complete the job. Very happy with the service theyve provided and will do business again in the future. I highly recommend this company for your garage door needs.

I submitted a Yelp request for a quote on a Monday morning and Khoi responded very quickly. At 2pm on the same day, John came and replaced the removed the old cracked and torn rubber seal, took away the old one and replaced it with a brand new one in minutes. I glued it recently and it took him less time to replace it than it took for my temporary less then ideal repair.He also inspected my garage door and lubricated parts and springs. Someone referred their service to us but I’m very disappointed :( Got a quote for $65 dollars to fix our garage gate but they actually charged $108. They said there will be no warranty of the service unless we replace the gate. Will not use their service again.

I rarely write reviews because writing in English is hard for me, but this time I have to, because the owner Khoi Phan impressed me very much, so I want more people know this company and they deserve to get more businesses.They are very honest, and always want their customers happy, Khoi response to messages and calls very quickly, and go to the scene to inspect immediately, and schedule the service shortly. all techs are very skillful and responsible, also the price is very good.They did a great job in my rental house, they removed the broken door and installed a new one.What impressed me is that Khoi offered to swap the door for me after the new door was installed and I sent a message to him said I do not like the new door color, he replied immediately and said we will swap it out, no problem that was really surprised me, I did not expect him to do anything with the new door, because I agreed with Khoi to choose almond color.My garage door was white color before exterior painting in last year, the painter mistakenly painted it into almond, and I was confused and still think it is white ( maybe because I do not live in the house), Khoi suggested almond color and said it is the same as my old door, but I though that my old door is white, so accepted his advice. When I came to the house the new door was installed completely, then I realized it is not white, but I knew it is too late to say anything. I really did not expect Khoi can do anything about the door, but he did extra work.That was so impressed me, the company deserves five stars, like its name.
