Giving one star for a selection of snacks, produce. Have not seen any grocery store where there is no price marking at all. Even Indian grocery store. Absolutely unfriendly cashiers and workers. The store banks on monopoly and completely agree with all negative Google and Yelp reviews. There were minimal number of other shoppers probably for this reason. Only for PRN use. That’s the reputation this store has earned. Not going back unless an emergency.

The store is small but always has fresh veggies and food options. There are two complaints one is the price is more than other stores and what I observed is that they charged me for groceries that I didn’t purchase luckily I found out and asked for refund. Looks like a clever strategy to fool customers.

Too expensive, 10 small samosas cost $7.99. No price mentioned on top of the box. They were charging different prices. I am not sure whether the cashier well aware of the price. I strongly not recommend this shop for anyone. And too much oil on the samosa which is really very bad for the health. They should properly filter the oil from the samosa before packing it. I have thrown 3 pieces since it had more oil on it.

This is a scathing review . it hurts to write it as i used to be their customer for more than 5 years. I picked up a milk carton which had expired a good two weeks back, luckily i spotted it before consuming. I brought this up with the owner and he was unapologetic !!. he was defensive about even giving refund .he wanted a proof of the spoilt milk inorder to offer the refund and brushed it away saying that it happens when u run a store like this, hinting that i should have been more careful !!!.i have lost faith in their adherence to principles of good housekeeping especially for frozen items...my few cents based on being their customer for years..tread with caution folks !! especially while being refigerated /frozen items

Lady at the front desk is very rude and speaks to her customers disrespectfully. She’s hardly paying attention when checking out customers, always busy talking or on her phone, and makes mistakes during ringing up items—which she then blames her customers for.I hope she reads the many similar reviews people have written about her and takes time to reflect on how to make customers feel welcome in her store

Rude lady at the counter, she has a bad attitude at all times, I have been to this store many many times, but basic service is expected, like saying hi or saying thank you when you thank her for her checking out. She stares or ignores. Store is clean but easily 2 times the cost compared to other neighborhood stores. I make every attempt to avoid shopping here.

Standard Indian supermarket - bit messy, stuffed to the gills, with patchy service. Among positives: They usually have a fresh vegetables selection, and fresh cooked snacks like samosas, pakoras, Rotis. Lots of sweets in the fridge as well. My wife and I have been going to Lakshmi Bazaar ever since they came to Moorpark Ave. (they started in a smaller space on the opposite side of the street). Since then they have grown and grown more indispensable as the essential Indian grocery store in the neighborhood. They are less crowded and always have all the groceries we have ever need. They seem to be better prepared than other stores for social distancing. Very safe. Going back soon.

I gave them two stars because they do have a good collection of vegetables. But the customer service definitely requires improvement. The lady at the front is extremely rude. There is no uniform rule about how many customers to let in during quarantine. After two customers came out, I went in. I was the only customer inside. The next one was allowed to go in promptly in 3 minutes. Then, she begins pestering me to hurry up. The aisles are covered with boxes which makes movement inside the store really hard. While I was trying to fill up my cart, this lady tells another person to remind me to leave since she had given me two reminders already. Horrible! I must add that the Punjabi guy and a Punjabi lady have good PR skills. Stuff is overpriced. They take advantage of their location.

This place rips off customers- please avoid at all costs. . I purchased regular grocery items and got a bill for 73 dollars and change. There was a charge for a “non inventory item” for 19.65. I did not get anything that cost that much. I went back to check and they couldn’t explain what the charge was, re scanned all items again and told me, that my bill amount was 64 and change now and said they will give me 10 dollars back, instead of removing the false charge!! They don’t share the billing screen So customers can double check the orders. They do daylight robbery here. They didn’t give me back my receipt either. Have lodged a complaint at the better business bureau.

The store is clean and has most of the stuff but the really unfortunate part is the person at the counter who seems really un interested in helping or doing his work. When asked for a bag he just presented the bag to me without putting the groceries in the bag - when I asked him to help with the groceries - he seemed to make a face and uninterestedly started dropping things into the bag. Good samosas, usually. (But spice level and amount of non-potato filling can vary wildly) Good price. Can make plenty on short notice, though they are usually late having them ready. If you have an order that is very time-dependent, you might want to phone them 2X. Good chutney free with samosas. Dry food, refrigerated food, and frozen food are good quality, good selection, good prices. Store is clean enough. Produce comes in weekly, on Fridays. The selection is always vast. Produce does look a little worn out by the end fo the week, sometimes. Service and help is readily available. Veg and non-veg 4-serving dabbas in cooler are decent when you are too hurried or lazy to cook. Mangoes and other fruit in season are good quality and reasonable price. Large selection of snacks and Indian sweets which are always fresh.

All prices are 20-30% higher than other stores. Guys, do yourself a favour - go to Bharat Bazaar on El Camino Real / Lawrence Exp which is only 4 miles away (or other locations). Spend the extra .80 cents and save 20-30% on your bill. It is the whole sale supplier to all Bay area Indian stores, so prices are the lowest and service is great + they still give plastic bags for free which you can use as trash bags in your bathroom etc and save on trash bag purchase! Lakshmi Bazaars management is arrogant and unhelpful. The guy has become rich from your money in 10 years, but he will not give you a single penny in discount, or his employees a raise!Five star ratings were obviously given by the owner himself!! No one in their right mind will give Lakshmi Bazaar 5 stars. The only good thing here is the Samosas. Pricey but delicious!

Its a quick stop to get your Indian vegetables, precooked curries or herbs, if you live close to the store. I live a mile away from the store, but I dont shop here, because its way too expensive. For e.g. A 2lb Yogurt box costs $3.5, when its only $2.5 in Walmart and other Indian stores in El Camino. Their precooked curries are sure to give you tummy troubles, because theyre 1 or days old sometimes. Their staff are extremely rude most if the times. You need to carry cash if you are buying stuff less than $15 (Im not sure about this no., someone can correct me here). I dont enjoy going to this store, unless I absolutely have no choice.

Easy to get in and out. Multiple checkout lanes are opened up quickly when the line starts to back up. Can get most indian groceries/spices/snacks (such as samosas/parathas/sweets etc) easily. Also has a reasonable amount of vegetable selections but not as large obviously as cash& carry etc. Adequate number of parking spots in the vicinity.Unless you are picking up a really large number of groceries, and price sensitive to the extent that a 50cent price differential is likely to put you off, this is a fairly efficient neighborhood grocery shop. Prices on most stuff is competitive and a few actually had slightly lower price than Bharat bazar on Reed.

Could not believe he was serious. lol! And $7.99/lb for green mangoes! This is the bay area dude. Are you even aware how many Indian stores there are around you? Guys, this place might be close to your home, but do yourself a favor and find a place close to your work or to another errand route. Google your options and believe me when I say there are plenty of options.
