Excellent little coffee house. Seating is all outside, but there is plenty of shade from the massive tree in front, it really makes for a unique experience.SMOOTH is the word of choice for their latte and chai—what we ordered. Banana Bread was good too. I can see why there was a line out the door when we first walked by it. Worth a taste!

I’ve been hearing about this place for years and I finally decided to try it. In the pictures, it looks like a cute little charming house, but when you get close, it’s more of a dilapidated disaster. This place is probably five hungry termites away from being a pile of wood on the ground, I thought I was gonna fall right through the floor. Waiting for my drink (it’s hot in there with no AC, by the way, for the poor baristas) I was alarmed by the centuries of dust and cobwebs caked on the windowsills and on the one fan in the corner that someone probably bought from Montgomery Ward back in 1997 that was solely responsible for circulating the air for the entire room. I just did not get a good impression from this crypt at all and will not be going back. The coffee was not worth it.

Hidden House Coffee, located in the Los Rios District of San Juan Capistrano, is an awesome place to get a latte! The place itself has a lot of character and their coffee is really really good! They sell coffee beans as well for you to make coffee at home. My favorites are the Ethiopia blend and Columbia. I definitely recommend this place for the best latte in town.

Great place with a gorgeous location in San Juan. The place is veteran owned and has little Bible verses under their coffee bean bags and coffee cups. They had an interesting selection of coffee bean bags to choose from, and even some other cute little merchandise.Im not much of a coffee drinker so I usually try the hot chocolate. Here it wasnt exactly what I was looking for, but it was still good.

This is NOT your standard grab and go coffee joint. If Starbucks speed is your goal, thats fine, but this place is not for you. They have one, double group, manual espresso machine, so there is usually a short wait, but they make each drink with purpose.Roasted in house, served with quality in mind, from a humble staff. It is my go-to spot when I have the time to enjoy a coffee. Its quiet and comfortable, with mostly outdoor seating. If you truly enjoy coffee, stop by.

Tasty coffee house coffee, like I would get in college. Great outdoor location. Very pedestrian-friendly and inviting area.No parking at the location (which is charming really), so park at the train station or the street past where maps tells you to turn.Be prepared, they only have one size. I think it’s 12oz. I’m used to drinking more in a sitting, so it didn’t meet my expectations in that regard. It was a cool day and I really wanted more.

Nestled in the quaint Los Rios Historic District this location has a lot of charm. The amotopshere is warm and inviting. Patio seating is limited but if you can score a seat it is well worth the view of passerby and nature. We ordered a Iced Mocha and an Iced Chai (mixed w/vanilla and spice). The chai blend created a perfect symphony of flavors in my mouth leaving me wanting more. The Iced Mocha had a robust expresso with the right touch of mocha that made the drink perfection in a cup without excessive sweetness.A must try for this area. Will return soon.

This is a great little coffee shop! I showed up just after opening and they already had a line out the door. No worries, though. They were ready for opening rush. It ran very smoothly inside and they got people what they wanted quickly and with a smile. Theres very little seating inside, but thats fine because outside they can seat quite a few with the bonus of it being really beautiful outside! Coffee and my muffin were both terrific. My next visit to this historic neighborhood will definitely see me here again.

We stopped by the cafe on late Friday afternoon and my sister picked up a chai latte which was good. The banana-nut bread was okay, on the dry side and the flavor was okay. On Saturday, I went back and gave their chocolate chip cookie a try. Now for a $1.50 this was worth every penny. It was soft and it was a good size for a cookie. The chocolate chips were on the gooey side. Oh yeah! Much better than the banana-nut bread experience from Friday. The staff is friendly and courteous. The cafe is clean and there is a very casual feel about it. Well go back again when we travel out here in the future.

Waited about 15 minutes for drink. When the barista puts the drinks on the bar you have know idea who the drink belongs to as they do not call out names or let you know what the drinks are. Some customers were served immediately and some like me were waiting around way too long. The two people making the drinks were less than enthusiastic and moving at a snails pace. Lastly, for $5.50 you get such a small size cup about 4.5” tall. I usually like to support smaller coffee houses, but this was a disappointment.

If youre a specialty coffee fanatic and live in south Orange county you know hidden house. If you dont know hidden house I question your coffee loyalty. Hidden house has been pumping out single origin, lightly in-house roasted coffees since the beginning and there not showing any signs of slowing down. The coffee selection rotates a tiny bit as they run out of green coffee but you are almost always going to find Ethiopian on the shelves. Family, and veteran owned this place feels like a slice of old school America. In addition to great coffee you must try every pastry the offer... Theyre all made in-house as well by an on staff pastry chef... Dont worry about that diet for one day and literary buy one of reach to sample with your friends. You wont be disappointed.
