I live in Maryland, 7 miles from DC and my stylist is Anita from Blown Salon in Old Town Alexandria,northern VA. Im staying at my 93 yo moms in PR for a few months and needed to get my hair colored and highlighted. Casiano at Amados in Plaza Las Americas was personable and very professional. He did a fantastic job at listening and matching my color and highlights plus gave me a beautiful hair cut. I recommend him unconditionally.

I have been going to the salon for many years....great stylists (Victor and Mitch)but recently I went for a shellac mani/pedi and sorry to say, the worst ever!!! And the most expensive!!! $175.00 tax included. Now...I dont mind paying for excellent work but this lady ...without words!! Sanitary it is not!! No liners and tools are not fresh either....the pedi area looks dirty....will not return for pedi, thats for sure! For hair Amado is the best!

They honor appointments to the minute. Proper diplomatic behavior with clients. The hairdos are always very stylish in absolute harmony with personal preferences and facial characteristics. Prices are reasonable for the fashionista transformation served.

I thought I finally found a good descent nail shop in Puerto Rico, I was absolutely wrong. I paid almost $100 for an mani/pedi with eyebrows. The nail polish started chipping not even 24 hrs later.The cleanliness is horrible or maybe not up to my expectation.The only good thing that came from this visit is my eyebrow waxing was amazing even though Im not a fan of double dipping of the wax.

Cancell appointment without any reason employees not very friendly

Yesterday I got a haircut and beard cut with stylist Jose Carlos. I have to say that it was more than a haircut, it was a marvelous experience. His talent is way above average stylists. His precision and passion is astonishing. He treated my hair and beard like anyone before with attention to details. If you are zealous on your beard and hair I recommend 100% Jose Carlos. Great job buddy!

After read all the bad reviews, I was afraid of visit this salon but I did last Monday. I have to say this was an outstanding service. I asked for the price of a blow dry first and the stylist gave me a reasonable price ($10 more than the salon I visit regularly which is not much). There were no long waiting time and I asked for a haircut price which was reasonable as well. Marina took the time to gave me a personalized consultation to decide what type of haircut would be better solely based on my characteristics and considering the actual trends. She did an amazing job with my hair and I could see how experienced and well prepared she is due to her haircut techniques. Im very exigent or picky person and Im glad of gave a chance to Plaza Las Americas Salon.

Horrible! Dont waste your money. I got a pedicure done and it was the most expensive and worst pedi Ive ever gotten. On top of that theyre not sanitary. They dont put liners or seem to clean the tubs very well. I was concerned and mentioned it to the employee, she assured me it was well cleaned. Anyways, after 4 days the polish started to chip and once i removed the remaining polish I noticed white spots on my toe nails, I thought it was from the polish since it was white. However after coming home ( I was on vacation) I scrubbed my toes with polish remover and my nails look like they have some type of nail fungus. I thought after trimming my nails they would grow back normal but they have not. It has been over a month since i went and Im still having issues with my toe nails. This had never happened to me. If I could I would give them 5 negative stars. Dont go there!

Great Staff, Bad Results: This place is extremely clean, very friendly, however a tad expensive. I got highlights and a keratin treatment. My stylist explain each step of the process before doing it. The only recommendation I have is My stylist should have informed me that a Keratin Treatment on my hair type and in this humidity (80% humidity) would not last, so it was somewhat pointless.

Didn’t do what I asked. They don’t know many haír techniques. Wayyyyy too overpriced. I’ve been to way better salons in Pr for half the price. They only colored half my head when I paid for full head. Bleached on top of my bleached hair when I told them not to. Charged me again when I went back so they could fix my hair when they had told me they weren’t going to charge me.

Such a disappointment! As my boyfriend and i were walking through Plaza, we passed the salon. He had just bought me a new ring and offered to treat me to a mani/pedi.I had to ask the employee to redo 5 nails because the polish was totally uneven with pools by the cuticles and bare spots in the center. The shapes were also inconsistent, which makes sense because the employee was more interested in chatting with a coworker than focusing on my nails.When it came time to pay I was told that I owed $85!! I got regular polish, and i was told the manicure was $25. I cannot believe that the pedicure was close to $60. I ended up having to redo 3 finger nails and apply another coat to most of my toes myself. I was just lucky to have the same color at home already.

Men... Beware!!!So...Ive been searching for a Barber that can emulate the same haircut that I got in Toa Baja. The person that did it, sadly, left pr, and since then... Time and time again random barbers that I go to, cant get the same look.So... I heard that these people were, the best. Sadly... I was really disappointed. As a business where customer service is key, you should have prices visible for everyone to the eyes and not have the prices read when the customer has received the receipt.As to your denial to horrible customer, you should never deny improper treatment (and then act high and mighty about it to a customer)as it verifies that you are capable of mistreating a customer. Whomever is in charge or your social media and google reviews should really partake in customer service etiquette as your responses sound unprofessional, distasteful and downright snobby.

The worst! Paid $7 to have my hair washed. Hairstylist was having a bad day and kept pulling my hair and plus charged me $80 to do my hair. Never again. Horrible! The service is just beyond bad! Too many bougie hairstylists on a nyc trip! Your in the mall hello!

I was doing some shopping in San Patricio, Guaynabo and decided to go to Amados Salon for a pedicure and an acrylic refill. I did not have an appointment. I noticed that the salon was filthy and deteriorated. The nail specialist filled in my acrylic, as fast as she could, and then, proceeded to give me a pedicure. Both were beyond bad. When I went to pay, I couldnt believe the charge.... A whopping $85.00, without the tip.I have never paid that much for a refill and pedicure. And to make matters worst, it was the worst pedicure and refill I have ever had. A week later, I had to do both again..nails chipped and my feet looked as though I hadnt had a pedicure in weeks.I recommend you inquire about the prices before you get anything done there.You fooled me once....

But prior to making appointment, I asked prices. Did not understand, so I asked Cashier to write prices and oddly she wrote price for refill: 1 toner START $40/2 toner START $53 + $25 shellac.Pedi START $50-55. My problem is she didn’t say prices start at.... but when I asked her to write the price down she included the words “prices start at... this does not tell me how much my refill will be. Better them being disappointed about my cancelling then me being disappointed about my experience.I’m a fan of you get what you pay for but according to the reviews I’m not so sure I will get my money’s worth.Canceling my appointment.My suggestion to Amado Salon & Body is to have prices available for customers. A list of prices can cut down on confusion for your customers when it’s time to pay.

HORRIBLE TENER CUIDADO!!!! Beware of the prices they do not have a service menu with prices or at least thats what they told us! Since when is a 10 minute mens pedicure $50 that didnt even include a massage!? The scrub the used on my feet was far too abrasive and left the tops of my feet with broken blistered skin! As you can see in the photos I will be posting! My girlfriend also got her nails done and her acrylics were not up to normal standards! It also took way too long we get our nails done together quite often and Ive never had to wait 2 hours before. In conclusion, amado amado salon is unsanitary, dishonest and they shouldnt have let my girl friends nails the way they did! I ended up having to take her somewhere else to get them redone and it only cost $20 for a shellac and fixing the acrylic fill unlike the $170 we were charged at amado! There are much better places out there!

DONT GO IF YOU WANT TO MAINTAIN THE LENGTH OF YOUR HAIR. I had my hair down to my waist and I told my stylist that I wanted him to cut the ends. He saw the health of my hair and recommended a little more, even the bra, because there were many bands. I hesitated a bit because you see it was cutting 3 inches, 1 more than I anticipated, but I trusted the stylist knew what he was doing.He cut me 7 inches and my hair doesnt go much lower than my shoulders. With my hair so short I dont feel like myself and I dont feel attractive. I thought a professional would understand that people are sometimes attached to their hair length - obviously not.

The stylists attention was good but the cut he made me was fatal, with longer locks than others. The color was streaked at the root. Technically skilled stylists are needed to trim especially straight hair and layered cuts. And do not do things to get out of trouble. Q have a genuine commitment to doing things right. I had to spend again and go to another beauty. They had to cut me short because of the disaster I had

Some time ago I dyed my hair red and they charged me like $ 300 and when I washed it two days later my hair color was totally gone. On another occasion, my mother went to the salon about 2 months ago and the one who attended her was very rude to her and made her wait too long. He was also sneaking other customers in her face. That is unethical.

I was seen almost 2 hours after my reservation. The nail technique put acrylic on me when she told me she was going to do shellac and they charged me a double tone for doing French tips. The nails were not pretty. Very expensive for the service I received.

Super quality and good work. You should consult with the guys before and know who will be best for your cut. It all depends on your hair.

One star because really the only one who was honest was the maintenance guy. Expensive, lousy service, out of hours. They charged me because they made me last when my appointment was at four. The worst thing is paying $ 250 for some blue highlights that I never did, they damage my hair and they wait for me to come back. Nothing personal, but I dont recommend it. I cant recommend Rosa Sosa because she didnt do the job for me and she lied to me.

Well, I had planned to visit the salon because I was afraid to go with anyone to make me a makeover. But reading the opinions and experiences of the clients made me more afraid to visit the place. Then Ill keep looking for another place.

Super annoying for more that the boy was asked if he knows how to make braids well he does them to my horrible friend and pa gets us a lot of money knowing that he does not like how they were. Look people if you do not know its very easy to say no and already.
