Charming spot to have breakfast. All the dishes have a slight twist to them, and are very good. Relaxing atmosphere with nice view of the back bay. Prices are reasonable and proportions are excellent. Great place to try.

Was reccomended this place by someone who visited pre Covid19 closures. Menu was limited when we visited but Had enough options for a family of three. We breakfast Burritos, Coffee, Tea and Pastries. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. We enjoy eating on their covered patio with a nice view of the bay. The young girl taking orders was very pleasant. Definitely coming back!

Cute little counter service cafe by the water. We had the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich and both were better than we expected. The place is tiny and seating is limited but its right next to the bay so you could easily take your food to a picnic table by the water and eat. Expect to wait 20-30 mins for your order since everything is freshly made.

Seriously good, comfort food, breakfast food, and coffee. They had a decent selection of items to choose from and everything was hot (that was supposed to be) and filled with flavor. Its great too as it is just steps from the estuary and water. Perfect spot to end up after a nice walk or drive in the area. Staff really nice as well. Portions vs price was very fair as well.

I dine in this lovely spot a lot! This is my favorite spot to have a bite. I go there at least once a month. The meals are just great, the crew is welcoming and the rates are decent. I like being in this spot to have a rich lunch.

My husband enjoy breakfast here when we stay at The Back Bay Inn. Several tasty choices. Local coffee and organic tea. Baked goods, yogurt, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs with ham or bacon and toast, etc. Simple menu but enough choices. Delicious. We love eating in the enclosed patio looking out to the back bay. Our little dog is happy that its dog friendly!

This place is consistent, and consistently mediocre. Its a great location, but needs some more care behind the counter. There is always a significant wait for food, even if you are 2 of about 8 people at the place. The coffee is good and the location is good. The staff is usually pretty friendly, but on occasion can be pretty short. Im glad we have it as an option in Baywood, but would love to see someone come in and take it up a notch or two.

The view here is one of the best in the area. The food is hit or miss at best. If youre a vegetarian, its best to ask for an ingredient list, they sneak bacon into quite a few items, including the scones. Service is great and parking is easy.

My fiance and I stopped by on a Sunday morning. We arrived at around 9am, the line was short and the service was good. I ordered the veggie breakfast burrito and chi tea, both were very good. My fiance ordered the scrambler and coffee, it was simple, but good. The fruit we had on the side was just okay. In my opinion, the menu is a little too millennial geared, Id like to see a little more veriety if I were coming here often. Altogether we enjoyed it and will return. Beware, by 10am the line is very long and seating is hard to come by.

This is just a coffee shop it does offer a very limited breakfast and lunch. The majority of the seating is outside and even with the glass surround it could be very cool when youre sitting out there or in the summer it can be pretty hot. There is limited seating inside so expect to sit outside.

My wife and i ate here while staying at the inn next door. Since it was complimentary breakfast and coffee, i wasnt expecting much, but man this place is great.A good sign is when the place is packed on a weekday morning, and there were a lot of people. The coffee was good, food great, and the ocean view awesome. What a great way to start the day. If you are looking for breakfast, check this place out. You wont be disappointed.

Absolutely IN LOVE with the food at this place! My family stayed at the Back Bay Inn for Mothers Day weekend and got breakfast for free at the Cafe. It was DELICIOUS! The service was fast, and the baked goods were so scrumptious! I will definitely go back in the future!

Although set in one of the most beautiful surroundings one can imagine, and the people are awesome... I stopped in to grab a quick coffee and breakfast burrito...granted it was rush hour..regardless, it took 50 minutes to get my to go burrito! Thats rediculous! Come when its not busy for best experience.

This is one of my favorite places in the whole county. Theres nothing exceptionally spectacular about the place, but it has the right combination of consistently good coffee, reliably tasty food, friendly staff, a relaxed setting, and a lovely view all wrapped up in a local-hidden-treasure package. It sits just a small parking lot away from the Morro Bay estuary with its small beach, which can be a great place for sitting and enjoying the view, letting the kids play, or giving dogs a chance to run, especially when the tide is in (the tide out transforms the estuary into expansive mud flats). Ive seen individuals enjoying a good read, guests with dogs, couples and friends, and families with kids of all ages. My only complaint comes from their loose and early closing hours: You need to get there before 2:30 p.m. most days if youre not planning on staying or ordering food. But it still is one of my favorite places.

The food here was ok, not worth waiting in line though. We ordered breakfast (egg scramble) and it came out cold. The person taking orders said it would be about 20 minutes, however we ended up waiting almost 40 minutes for our food. When it did finally come out, some of us got our food and others had to wait longer, even though we had ordered similar items right after each other.

The Back Bay Cafe is a quaint spot right near the water. I stopped here while on vacation with my family. Tasty scones and cookies. I also had a chai latte and it came extra foamy and a little sweet, just the way I like it. This place is only open 6am-2pm as of right now (Jan 2, 2015), so grab a bite and a coffee and settle into the view from the nearby pier while you can. Four indoor seats and about five small tables out on the patio. Small, cute place with good food and friendly baristas.
