Vons! Good variety of items, and good selection of fruits, good service but a customer did not keep a safe distance. I see that in different places and businesses personnel dont say anything to people.

Sharon in the bakery Sept 12 was a very good and unique person to talk with as I picked up a decorated birthday 1/4 carrot cake. Jeremiah was wearing his lavender Vons Wine Steward shirt while getting 12 Olde Shandon Port Works Port Syrah, at $14.99 for 6, boxed for me. He is a very good friendly Vons asset. Mark was shelving in the fruit-veggie area. Marie B was great at the register, while Alyssa helped to load my heavier water and wine items into the car. On second trip with a friend, same Sept 12, Joe helped at self checkout and I saw Marie B again to her sweet surprise.SAGE, friendly sweet new guy at register Aug. 16.Kevin Kennemann is the latest very friendly SLO Vons store director who I met and spoke with in one aisle recently in passing.Mason is my butcher for stew beef in large packages. Every grocery store in town has its benefit. Vons has the best produce. Its fresh its tasty its usually ripe or close to ripe. The store is always very clean and the employees are constantly friendly.Its also the most expensive grocery store in town. Be that as it may its the closest to where I live so its where I shop the most.

Only place Ive found that sells fat free cheese. THEY HAVE AMAZING FLOWERS OMG!!!!!! And lots of varieties of sugar free jelly. I find it to be a bit too pricey for regular everyday grocery shopping though. OH ANNND they have KILLER deals on decorate and fun little cakes for birthdays and other occasions!!!! Drive up and Go was anything but Drive up and Go. Me and my partner are very busy individuals and we don’t like ordering out most of the time because it’s very expensive. In our busy schedule grocery shopping is a struggle to schedule. So we heard that Vons do drive up and Go so we tried it because this could be a solution to our problem. But it turned out it is not Drive up and Go. They still made my partner grab a cart go to the back of the store and all the grocery bags. Then to top that off they said that chicken they were out of stock is in the front by the Deli. So he had to go all the way to the other side of the store and put the bags in his car. Now we’re not really upset they made us do all this. We’re upset by the misleading ads and advertisements that this will be a quick alternative to just doing the shopping ourselves. It was not drive up and Go.

I got a coupon for a free roasted chicken, best coupon ever! Great produce selection, excellent bakery! Always stocked well! The lady in line behind me knew the cashier by name and I thought that was c an incredibly charming thing to encounter such a small town neighborly feeling. It put a smile on my face! Nice store for shopping for our basics while visiting California! The wine selections were many! We chose an Edna Valley Pinot Grigio.......it was a lovely choice!

I went back to vons to get dinner, and I over heard them say they had quarters for a white person but when I went there a few hours ago they didn’t have quarters for me and this black guy, and this is the 4th time they didn’t have quarters for me.A huge supermarket didn’t have any quarters for colored people but they had quarters for the white people.

Its a little more upper end on the vons spectrum and somewhat more expensive than usual. Often has seasonal produce from local farms. I prefer the Starbucks here over the one next to Carls jr.

This may be the BEST grocery store on the whole Central Coast. I started at the deli with an awesome gal (Peggy I believe was the name) helping create my sandwich. I had some troubles at check out (my fault) but they were easily corrected by the manager (with a smile). Another employee also help me at the courtesy desk promptly as well.My fresh breakfast burrito, sandwich, sushi (only $5 bucks) and salads were all amazing. I left this store with a great overall experience and impression! I highly recommend this store.All employees I encountered were professional and helpful. It is a level of service that’s very rarely achieved these days!

Horrible produce, bakery, and seafood selection. No fresh french or sourdough bread. They didnt order clams this week, even though theyve been out for 2 weeks?! A seaside town should have seafood!When we got up to the checkstand theres a sign that says not to put your items on the belt until the current transaction is complete, so I was waiting, assuming shed be cleaning the belt between each customer. Nope, she looked at me while waiting for the current customer to pay and says, rather rudely, that I can put my stuff up...ok. The biggest kicker was, they wouldnt bag our groceries because they were too busy, and we couldnt bag our groceries ourselves at the checkstand. We had to load it directly into the cart ourselves and could go bag it by the doors or outside!I was floored! Ive never experienced such ridiculousness!

Out of the SLO supermarket choices, Vons ranks the lowest for me. Their selection is not very good and they have mostly house brands, dont carry a some of the big nation wide brands. On some things they have the best prices but their produce and meats are just OK.

Even though I live in Atascadero, I love coming to this Vons for Drive Up & Go. The selection is great and the employees who load my car are absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much!

There seems to be someone that can answer my question right around the corner. The floors stay clean and shelves are well stocked, and organized. The staff is very focused on the customer and their needs.

Its a grocery store, so not that exciting, but I love food. Favorite place in SLO, prob spend half my paycheck here each month.

ALMOST ZERO SOCIAL DISTANCINGI dont usually post reviews but I want to warn people about the risk they take coming to this particular store.Ive tried going here multiple times at very different hours. Even in the least busy times of the day, I feel the least safe here compared to my other grocery stores. When its busy, its like any other super busy grocery store pre-COVID, except people are (sort of) wearing masks. Ive seen many times both customers and employees taking off their masks to talk to people beside them, LOTS of wearing masks below their noses, and wearing them extremely loosely (obviously, these all defeat the purpose of wearing them). There NEEDS to be much better enforcement of Proper mask wearing and a limit to the number of people let into the store. I very much appreciate the essential work all of VONS employees are doing and do not want at all to discount their hard work. I just demand for the sake of our community--our essential workers, our family, ourselves--that these necessary, common sense actions be taken. We all know its a weird time, but we have an obligation to keep ourselves and our community safe and healthy.Also, decent inventory: I couldnt find some things but I also didnt have high expectations Id find some of the specialty stuff I needed, so wasnt big deal.

I would like to thank all the staff for being brave and working for us. Ive been there a few times in the past few weeks and the staff I have had the pleasure of crossing have all maintained positive attitudes and great customer service. Thank you for doing great work. Too expensive. Only reason I went there is I was taking care of my sister chihuahua. The only thing he will eat is braunswager. Vons is the only place I could find it at time .

For delivery drivers:This is a terrible location for pickups. Your pickup and drop off times will almost always be late.The customers carts are often incorrect or incomplete. On multiple occasions I have been called back to the store after leaving because they forgot to give me something.I always call the store as instructed when Im on my way, but the check-in process is still slow and disorganized. If drive up and go employees are unavailable, management will not assist you themselves, but instead leave you waiting without communicating any kind of ETA.

Pretty cool grocery store. Its like most stores you see. However right now they have the Monopoly game going on where you can win all kinds of different prizes and such. Heard somebody local won $500 so thats pretty cool. Overall they are pretty nice staff, but the lines do tend to get pretty long during evening hours.

Shelves not stocked, zero bagging help, slow, slow checkout. Ive shopped here for years and its normally ok. They need more deckhands!

This is your typical big chain grocery store. They probably have what you are looking for... it looked like they even have a good selection of Asian and Mexican foods and spices.The produce section has got all the basics and then some.Their prices are a little high unless you shop for the sale items and use your Club Card!

I usually stop at the deli and get the same thing every time but the experience isnt always the same. More often than not the cheese that I get crumbles when its stacked and stuck together but I make do and I carefully peel it apart for sandwiches. Today the woman behind the counter made sure that there were sheets of paper between the slices which I thought was awesome. I know its not anything major but its the little things that matter.

Oh to have a choice of fresh ripe fruit. Have been in Texas for 30 years and truly miss the ability to purchase fruit that actually tastes like what it supposed to taste like. Yea!

I think Vons gets a bad rap sometimes. It’s always clean, the staff is always friendly and I can count on their inventory 99% of the time. I’ve went to other grocery stores and always go back to shopping at Vons.

I have been shopping at this store for several years and have seen many changes with upgrades and remodeling. The staff here is helpful. Rarely do you end up getting someone who is less than Pleasant but you can expect that anywhere that you have so many employees. The customer service desk is always more than happy to take care of needs and I have never run into an issue with service. The sandwiches are good, I used to use the laundry dry cleaning service which is good, they have a fair selection of Flowers and Gifts, the pharmacy is exceptional, prices are decent especially if you use the Vons app, and they have decent selection and store size. I dont buy wine but they do have quite a selection of wine and beer. Vons is my go to store for pricing and things I need

Outstanding selection lots of locally produced product, fantastic Wine/liquor Dept. Manager, very knowledgeable and even introduced us to the local winemaker who makes one of the top local labels, who just happened to be in the store shopping, the Wolf vineyard is just a few miles down the road. Prices were very good, beating most we have seen in the area so far, we are new in town.. So VONs is new to us, glad we stopped in.

One of my favorite grocerys stores. Not only cause the price is decent but the employees are so helpful!! And hands down best deli selection for a grocery store. Super good sandwiches, pastas, and soups. They got it all!! And the fresh deli sliced meat and cheeses.
