They deserve a 6 star rating! Matt & Co. (especially Manny!) came in and rescued me and my shower project after another contractor did a horrible job (leaking, poor grouting, loose tiles etc.) and basically ghosted me for weeks. The entire shower had to be ripped out and redone from scratch. Its beautiful and functioning now. They followed through at every turn, making sure I was happy and the project was done right. I will never use another tile company and neither should you.

I did not enter the store because it is closed except by appointment. The person who was locking the door as I arrived implied that the tile was too expensive for me to afford/be interested in, then said I could make an appointment for the next day. No thanks. The people at TileCo down the street were very helpful.

Excellent service! Katie and Aurora were always very helpful when I would call with orders. If I left a message they always responded quickly. I got all my tile in as planned, and when I needed more it arrived quickly. Excellent service at a fair price. And Katie and Aurora did a fantastic job. After a flood in our home which required the removal of the existing fireplace, office flooring and baseboard, I contacted Matt Clark Tile for help designing the new fireplace and ultimately installing the beautiful custom tile I selected from their showroom. Working with Matt Clark was a smooth and professional process. The installation of the tile was an amazing process to watch. The work area was well protected and left clean after each day of work. We had our kids bath retiled during Covid. It was stressful to think about having people come in an out of our house, but Matt and his team did a great job. They were efficient and professional. Our bathroom looks amazing and we cant wait to have them back to do our master bath as well!

Matt Clark Tile did a very good job with our flooring and bathroom projects. He provided good prices, excellent knowledge, and quality service with his team of installers, particularly Manny and Junior. When areas needed to corrected or repaired his team was able to fix the issue relatively quickly. The end product was very good and met our expectations. Matt also provided plenty of ideas for our project and was open to ideas for changes we wanted to make and made them happen. He also provided guidance for other services we needed to finish the projects as we were acting as our own general contractor. My only criticism is that the job would have gone faster if had used more people on the job and could have been more full days. Some days workers were diverted to other jobs and so prolonged the project. I understand things happen but they need to provide a better schedule for getting the job completed. Other than this I would recommend Matt Clark Tile for flooring and other tile projects.

I went in looking for something interesting for our fireplace. The showroom is so awesome I immediately wanted to do my kitchen too. Matts knowledge of everything about tile, including the history of tile setting (which he knows from long experience), was interesting and helpful. His workers did a fantastic job. They were very competent, neat and friendly. I hope to go back for my kitchen soon!

Not happy. We Started redoing our bathroom and ran out of floor tile. The estimated amount was not enough (they calculated what we would need)and we’ve been waiting 3 wks for it to come in. Meanwhile our bathroom is torn up and we’re still waiting for the tile to finish the job.

Katie at MC Tile will work her best to make you happy. Selection is great but they do best at the interaction with suppliers which is often difficult.They know more then just sell tiles - design, esoteric quality lines.Always shop there first

We have selected and purchased tile and marble for a Master bath and kitchen from Matt Clark. Both rooms turned out beautiful. Everyone at Matt Clarks was helpful. Anna was amazing. She went above and beyond to get us samples and then when ordering she kept us updated on delivery date and even made numerous calls to the manufacture to keep the process moving and get our job done on time. She alerted us as to when the tile would ship so that we had plenty of time to line up our tile layer. Matt Clark has the nicest and best selection in SLO. We can recommend them without hesitation.

Had a lot of fun working with Matt. There is no one on the central coast who knows tile better than he does. He wont compromise and make the shoddy compromises you may find with other people passing themselves off as tile contractors. If your gut is telling you the less expensive guy is going to leave you disappointed, youre probably right.

Very good service, nice artisan selection of tile. Had an unexpected supplier problem with our order (nothing to do with Matt Clark) and they managed the situation quickly and efficiently so it didnt slow down construction. Will go back again and recommend.

As I walked through the front entrance, a male voice from the back of the store called out were closed! Trying to locate where the voice came from, he yelled come back tomorrow.So, I went back the next day with my friend to look at this beautiful store. I was thrilled with the selection, when the male, I assumed was Matt, chastized me for taking one of the samples off the wall. I quickly tried to replace it and he stepped beyond me saying I didnthang it correctly, grabbed it and hung it on the wall. He explained that the hanging tile samples are not to be touched as all the samples in the boxes on the table are whats available. Then, he started off to his desk declaring he had a lot of work to do.This experience soured me so much, I exited the store.So much for customer service!

Excellent ! We remodeled our master bathroom. Matt and his crew installed the beautiful tile from his shop. They installed an under layer called schluter. It is a waterproof barrier and helps to inhibit mold. Our contractor told us he could do the rough plumbing and install the fixtures. Obviously not since his work failed spectacularly. The water damage ruined the kitchen ceiling located under the master bathroom (water followed the pipe holes down), the kitchen and family room floors. Our claims adjuster, using his water meter found the master bathroom floor to be dry. He told us that the schluter layer saved us from having to tear up our brand new master bathroom floor. Having Matt and his crew install the tile professionally with the schluter layer is worth the extra cost. If you want quality, go to Matt Clark.

My tile contractor purchased material to tile 5 bathrooms, 5 back-splashes with an expensive waterproof system called Schluder. We went to return extra grout, just extra unopened boxes of grout, after spending a fortune, and was told Matt Clark would not take it back because the purchase was over 30 days old. I have since switched to Tileco where the service is outstanding and the prices for identical products are significantly less. That being said the person Anna who helped us was excellent. Do your homework - expect to pay premium prices without corresponding service. My advice give Tileco a try, a very friendly place.
