As a trucker, it has almost everything I need. Clean restroom, great food in the restaurant, all kinds of things to buy in the store, friendly people, and a small parking lot thats still big enough for my doubles to fit.No showers though and thats why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If they had even one shower, it would be an easy 5 star place in my opinion.Diesel is fairly cheap here too compared to your main places like Petro/TA, Loves, and Pilot/Flying Js.Back to the restaurant, they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Can either dine in or get it to go.
Very nice people work here, food is good, parking is nice and clean 👌
I came in 5mn from choosing and the nice young lady offered to cook me something to go! So I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which was very delicious btw and also reasonably priced with a healthy portion of French fries.........Highly recommend stopping in here!!! Great food great prices and very friendly staff👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
A surprising gem tucked away at the back of a nice convenience store. Serving locally raised meat (Woods) and locally roasted coffee (Evans Bros) this cafe serves a traditional American menu with outstanding views. The huge windows look out over the Selkirk Mountains and a small lake. In summer, sit on the patio while your kids play on the large lawn and play structure. The convenience store is definitely above average with locally roasted coffee and grocery items.
Had the prime rib special on a Saturday night and it was fantastic. There was a half full dining hall but the wait time was minimal. Fast friendly service, great food, rustic decor, and over all I was very satisfied. I recommend the in house sauces; ranch, tartar, and sour cream (has a hint of horse radish and is excellent). Its a simple place and I will eat here again.
To keep it short and sweet, I say 4 stars because there is always that one in every family that makes you think to yourself, Who ties your shoes for you? In every life and everything, always room for improvement. I highly recommend Samuels and their Blue Heron Cafe!
The restaurant is awesome. Best pulled pork sandwich ever.
North Idahos best kept secret. The food is home cooked and delightfully tasty. I dont eat here often, but it is worth taking a 90 minute drive just to eat here! The service and food are outstanding!
Nothing better then spending $6 on a chicken burger with cheese paper... 😑 Come on guys get it together.
Went for prime rib, it was not very good, WAY OVERPRICED!This is a gas station save your money go somewhere else.
I really like the food here but my last visit was really unpleasant. One of the workers was very rude right when I walked in, rolled her eyes and made rude/judgmental expressions at my family and I before we had even walked up to be seated. I believe it was because we were all wearing masks and it is a very small town but im not sure. No matter the reason, it made me very sad and uncomfortable and I felt very unwelcome. I love the barbecue and coleslaw sandwich and had asked my family if we could stop specifically here because the food IS really good. But I couldnt shake the feeling of just unnecessary unwelcome that I got for no reason right when I walked in. If you dont want to wear a mask to protect others, thats on you, but dont take your judgment out on your customers.
Best smokey dogs ever!!! Great staff. Friendly environment. If your traveling through sandpoint idaho, stop in.
Amazing views. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Love this spot!
First time here and was not disappointed. Great service, great food, great prices, relaxed atmosphere.
Good place good people
Food was amazing!! Wish we found this gem earlier. There is outside seating with a view as well as the indoor seating. Eggs Benedict is what I ordered, and it was perfect!
I have never been to a place filled with such rude people! Ive been there multiple times and have had the same terrible experience everytime. The people that work there are the rudest people I have ever met. The cashier with the name tag Ginelle was one of the rudest people I have ever met. This place has the absolute worst customer service on most of sandpoint prices were high and people were rude. Save your money and dont waste your time here
Went here for breakfast and the food was pretty good. Offering classic breakfast dishes and beverages. Our service was good except for a long wait for our food and there were a lot of flies in the cafe that we had to shoo away.
Great place to get gas or groceries or a bite to eat. Great people great service and awesome attitude.
This restaurant is run very well. The service is excellent, they know us by name and even remember our preferences. The head chef is truly a good chef and puts out a marvelous meal from a well trained kitchen staff. Selections are many from the menu. Friday night fish and chips and Saturday prime rib are our favorites. Great desert choices, always a surprise.
Awesome place. Nice employees, good coffee. Didn’t try the food at Cafe but I’m sure it’s outstanding.
Amazing gem behind a convenience store. Delicious food, beautiful views
Great service and delicious prime rib
Sherrie my server was great. The management cant be blind to the inordinate amount of flies in the dining room. All the patrons were swinging at flies. I thought I was in a Jackie Chan movie. The vegetables were perfection, mash and brown gravy was hot and flavorful. Slightly lumpy, reminded me of mums mash. The Rib eye was good although the cook obviously does not know the difference between med rare and med well. Dont get me wrong it was good just not like my server told the cook to prepare it... (yes looked twice at the order on the check).
The guy with the boy band needs to grow up. Makes nasty food
Good food and service. You will never find a better view than at this establishment. Worth it for the drive in any of the four seasons. In the spring and summer they have an outdoor seating area with a manicured lawn and beautiful flowers and trees. A delightful and very relaxing place to dine or just have a drink.
Absolutely the worst service Ive received from a restaurant in years. Waitress walked into the Room 5 times without even glancing over at us. Tried to voice our frustration, but that fell on deaf ears as well. We will not return anytime soon.
Absolutely amazing food and you simply cannot beat the prices. I always try to arrange my layovers to find myself here whenever possible. At just 2 heard from the Canadian border and 2 hrs to Spokane WA. its a perfect location to shut down. Enough room for 10 or so semi trucks.
Ive eaten here several times over the past years & ordered something different each time. All meals were exceptional & at first I was pleasantly shocked (due to a restaurant being in a gas station)..but now I know whatever I order I will enjoy. 😋
While in town for a Celebration of Life event my nephew recommended this place for dinner so we stopped by around 7:30pm for dinner before we had to leave town. The place is connected to a gas station which at 1st I was not sure about, but it ended up being very cute and cozy...and that is where the good in this review ends.... our server was a young gal that gave off the impression that she did not care if we were there or not, I asked her if the Prime Rib dip was good she said of course so I thought it would be after all it was Saturday night (Prime Rib night) so that is what I ordered. We waited a long time considering we were only 1 of 3 tables, the food came and she disappeared before I could tell her that my Prime Rib Dip was anything but Prime! It was the worst dip I have ever had the cook had burnt the meat so bad that it crunched when you ate it, but it was late and I was starving so I dipped it in the au jus until it was soggy and managed to choke down 1/2 of it. When she finally came back and I showed her she said oh Ill go tell the cook, the next time she came back it was to drop the bill on our table and she did not say one word about my sandwich. When we paid the cashier in the gas station I again told her how bad it was and she said she would tell the manager whom is also the cook and thats probably why no one cared! Bad food - worse service - next time we will pass!
Good food, reasonably priced. Sit outside for a pleasant view of the lake. Bit of a wait for the food though.
We stopped in today after working on our property.... my wife ordered the black bean burger and I ordered the build your own burger...just wow
Excellent little place for those of us living outside of town. I will admit that I was skeptical when I first saw the restaurant tucked in the back of the gas station, but it has blown me away. Fish fry Fridays and prime rib Saturdays are a MUST. Make sure you get there early for dinner because they run out of the specials.
Great food!! Great price!!
Only good days are Friday and Sunday. Even then food has gotten skimpier, quality less than past years.Dont even bother going during week days, very small portions,.high price.just two tables, with two people each.slow boat to China service.stringy asparagus, smallPortion of meat and smaller portion of mashed potatoes.Been going here for years and years wont come back during week again.seems all management wants is a fast buck at the expense of customers.
Awesome breakfast, excellent service, very clean place, will be back again for sure.
Love this place really people and good food
Friendly environment with quality food for a good price. I come here as frequently as possible.
Freshly cooked food, nice cafe, great convenience store selection!
They serve the best coffee in north idaho
Brought my wife here for breakfast. The waitress was friendly, the food was reasonably priced, and delicious.

A true hidden treasure.
