Most comprehensive academic bookstore in Harvard Square. A great selection of remainder books, especially large coffee table art books. Also contains a decent used book section, though nothing like Strand in NYC.
Overpriced books if you dont get them earlier elsewhere, in my experience not worth it. I once had to get Not About Nightingales so I came here to find it. I got it but when I went to class, and we had class reading, I realized that halfway through the book, the beginning was reprinted. So the book I bought was missing half of the story, and I had to sheepishly explain to the professor why I couldnt read the page aloud to the class (for it was missing). She was very understanding, and after class I went back to the bookstore. I explained the defective book to the person behind the cashier, and had it rented instead. What kind of bookstore/textbook sells defective books? Perhaps in part its my fault for not flipping through the pages, but nobody expects to buy a book with half the pages missing from a bookstore. It is preposterous.
Poor management..They employees were rude and clueless.. I wanted to pay with a check and the employee stated that it was unacceptable, I then asked who the owner was and he said he was..( I didnt believe him) I of course purchased the 2 books.. I felt very dissatisfied with their customer service,,. I went back into the store and spoke to another employee and questioned where the owner was mind you it wasnt even 5 minutes when i purchased the books..According to the employee the owner was not here..Well according to the cashier at the time he claimed he was the owner..by then I was furious..i confronted Edward,,he than said he was an investor.. Are you serious? Get your title straight! Are you the cashier, manager and investor? I have never experienced such poor customer service.. Go else where to buy your books..
Reasonable books didnt have one of my book I needed but had most of what I needed.
Final Sale. No Signs At The Store Stating Final Sale & The Cashier Didnt Even Mention It. What She Did Was Place The Receipt In The Bag So I Didnt See It. Nice Trick!
A great non chain book store, I spent a Saturday afternoon browsing. Be sure to go upstairs and downstairs to see all.
I love getting my books here, cheaper than Santa Ana College bookstore
Terrible store; the business rips you off with incredibly high prices. Plus, their fat bodyguard during their busy seasons thinks hes badass and is constantly frisking you for stolen items.
Better than shopping at the don book store.
Hardly crowded and all out quiet store
Very good condition and cheap prices❤️
They take EBT for cash.
