While shopping here I found peanuts that expired in January 2021 and milk that was 5 days past it’s expiration date. Prices are actually slightly higher than Wal-Mart for most items. This experience is just another example of the challenges faced in underserved and low income areas—higher prices for worse products that are accepted due to the lack of accessible alternatives.Shout out to the associates for immediately taking the expired food off the shelves when I pointed it out.

I just want to give thanks to food 4 Less for helping me make a daddy proud and helping me be a part of a memory that will last a life time. Just be able to see a smile on the faces of two lil girls and seen them hold and hug there daddy. That was priceless to see. Just being In The center of that and letting my heart just overflow with love and kindness and sharing that with the one that you hold dearest to my heart. I pray for each and everyone that got to go into that store tonight and be able to share a meal with there familys. May God Bless All

Great food 4 Less with some of the best deals around Santa Ana. When I live nearby I would come here once a week for my shopping. Pretty much a 1 stop shop. Always has amazing deals for dog/cat foods. Daily low prices and the staff is super helpful with anything you need. Most associates speak both Spanish and English so you shouldnt have any problems conversing with anyone. Would for sure recommend to family/friends.

You can buy their food here, great sales every week.Im a regular customer and I positively love shopping here, chocolate, cereal, yogurt, frozen, fruits, veggies.. awesome.I have an injury, so having four electric scooters at Food4Less is a big deal. . Shopping is definitely made easier and more enjoyable. It shows they care. Come shop for less, and buy whats on sale for the week and save.!

Um... i saw a kid open up this oack just alittle to get that chocolate bar inside but instead he saw an employe and left it there and darted of. Guess who just got a free crunch

Everything was great until check out. Due to the pandemic stores no longer accept your own grocery bags and as such should no longer be charging for their bags. Not only did we get charged for bags but they were the old, thin, flimsy onesi and had to bag my own groceries. When I mentioned it the cashier completely blew me off. Smh ... Like u arent already making a profit due to the increased panic buying everyone is doing.

Stopped in on Halloween because I needed about 25 pumpkins last minute for a free childrens program I was running. The produce manager was very helpful, and pumpkins were priced well below anywhere else I checked. They even loaded the pumpkins in carts with me, and loaded them in my car. Great, fast, friendly service at this store!

Still a good place to buy cheap food. Not everything but enough to make the trip. Carts were cleared in parking lot and line were short. Restroom was out of order but Im sure it is not stores fault.

Found everything I went for at this store. Very seldom am I disappointed when I visit a Food 4 Less store. They have a wide selection, fresh fruits and vegetables, good prices on cold cuts and butcher Meats and the people are always extremely friendly.I ended up in Food 4 Less today because the Walmart I visited was not a full-fledged Market and they didnt have 90% of the items I went into purchase.This Food 4 Less always seems to have what I need. The only thing missing today was the big gallon jugs of diet tea. I go there specifically for that item and I was disappointed it wasnt there today. I have noticed that for the last 6 months I have not been able to find the diet in the gallon size. That is actually extremely disappointing.Note! If youre looking for ice cream, they are almost always having a special on one of the brands. Today their brand is 2 for $5. This is my favorite family grocery shopping store. I dont shop anywhere else. The cashiers most of them of Mexican blood w their accents. Always have a Big smile on their faces and always go the extra mile to make sure Im satisfied. Thanks you for making me feel part of your family Food4Less 😀😀😀

Under went renovation, looks good. They sell wine, spirits, beer, and liquor like tequila, whiskey, and vodka. They also sell cigarettes, tide pods and infant formula, you must tell the cashier though since they are behind glass.Good prices and good range of items. Lot bigger than Northgate supermarket nearby. However, be cautious with any panhandlers or homeless. They tend to hang out here or sleep nearby.

Came to the store at just before 11p.m., as its supposed to be open until 12. Not only me, but NUMEROUS people were walking up, trying to get food and the security guard at the door (older black man) was EXTREMELY RUDE and told us they were working in the back and the store closed early. I was upset, but the security guard told us he didnt care that the hours were wrong and told me and another guy to get our asses out of here. There is no reason to be rude to customers. I wouldnt be giving a 1 star if it wasnt for the extremely rude security guard

I am very happy with my local market. Great prices, wonderful staff, and an ever expanding range of goods. Dried seaweed for sushi, organic coffee beans, and the best prices on avocados, celery and bananas I have found. The Santa Ana Food 4 Less is much more than you might expect!

Lowest price in town

Rushing to get groceries for dinner i ended up losing my wallet with more than 1000 in it. I frantically searched until I called the manager Chris and who had it locked up ready for me to pick up. Every dollar still there!!! Much appreciated!!!

Definitely a place worth stopping by, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the prices are affordable and it is consistently clean in here. Kudos.

This store is dirty, always under stock, with expired food, forget about fresh fruits and vegetables. They sell rotten preaches for $1.98 a pound. Chicken thighs, that they used to sell in a pack of twelve for $6.00. Now cost almost $8.00 for eight thighs if you can find them. They now only sell large bags of cat food. No more boxes of cat food. Their frozen foods are never stocked right. And their dairy items stuck, compared to other stores. That have more choices. And their bakery, is a joke. I never buy anything that they have to offer. How I wish a store like Stater brothers, would replaces that store, that would offer us decent food.

The prices and selection are unbeatable here! The produce is better than most regular priced markets. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is because of the consistently long lines

This place allows you to get cash back on your General Relief card up to $200 per transaction. They also will allow you to do back-2-back transactions that way you can get over 200. Theres no surcharge like at an ATM. The only reason I didnt give five stars is because theyre not as good as Hy-Vee. And Ill admit I havent really looked at their meat too see the quality. It appears to be a regular grocery store the same as any of them and prices are reasonable and competitive.

This food for less usually have security guards that conduct themselves unprofessionally and expect customers to leave there bags if theres no lockers what I think is ridiculous because there not going to watch it or pay for something like a tablet or laptop if it goes missing so why in good Gods name would I leave my bag containing items that are worth more the. Anything throughout the whole store. Im sure as fxxx not going to take a laptop and leave it for some steaks or pork chops. So why the hell should I leave my computer and computer bag with the security when all Im grabbing is a beverage. Spending the time to fit and lock my stuff up would take another five minutes at least longer to get my lunch during my half and hour lunch break. Some business think there running a good business when in actuality they loose business because people find faster methods of service. Now a days everything is about whats faster. This store Is Not Fast.

We did not pay less. Most of their prices were higher than some of the big-name brand stores. And I dont just mean a little bit more expensive Im in a dollar or two for each item more expensive. They had a few deals but not enough to make up for everything else being so expensive

Really enjoy going to this food store location, very friendly people go here to shop, this really represents downtowns ethnic melting pot. My experience was great here.

Clean good and fresh. Magnament can benefit from customer service training, store has 8 lines, now 3 open, aprox 12 to 20 customers waiting to pay per line,customers walking out leaving shopping carts cause they cant wait for more cashiers to show and care.

Can be difficult to find parking because of the other near by locations. Besides that the store is over all well maintained and stocked with the most part for your every day needs.

Wish I could give negative stars! Worst foo 4 less in santa ana, theres sketchy homeless people everywhere harassing for dollars! The lady parked next to me loaded her car and in the process scratched my car with her cart, she then put her cart behind my car, I said hey can you move your cart? This is my car. She looked at me shrugged her shoulders and just got in her car and left! I was so upset! I have been doing there for over 10 years but no more! Its just getting worse and worse.

The only I go shopping there is because it closes to my home there fruit are below average last week I bought bananas from food for less and Alberson. The taste was 100 or cent different Alberson was much better.

The homeless situation is out of control. Now security is chasing down regular paying customers and threatening to call the police over backpacks. I would hate to see the store closed but I also hate seeing anyone who uses a backpack, because they live within walking distance, treated like a shoplifter. The store might benefit from engaging the city and community for possible solutions.

Bagging your own groceries is worth the money you save from their low prices.
