Great selection of different types of wood. As well as tools, stains, hardware, sandpaper and more. Went to scout for some wood and take a few pics to get my mom to decide on something. Saw so many more items I need to pick up once a wood is decided on. Awesome place.

Austin Hardwoods is a great place for all things wood. Theyve got all kinds of moldings, woods, reclaimed wood, & all kinds of hardware and specialty tools.

If you are a serious wood worker or contractor this is a great place to find what you need. The prices are a higher than the big orange or blue box stores but the items they carry are usually not at the box stores.

Place is great doing a small table project for the backyard . Plenty of choices on rotary tools and reclaimed wood to standard moulding and trims. Place is just great been shopping here for years.

Ive built a couple shelves, but am not skilled in woodworking by any means. Wanted to make an open box for knick knacks, and thought about it for weeks before I had the courage to buy the materials and give it a try.The gentlemen at Austin were helpful, supportive, and could not have been nicer to make a few extra cuts in the boards I purchased. The selection and pricing at the store is fantastic, much better than the chain store where I got my previous shelf materials.

My favorite woodworking store. Safe, clean, uncrowded, well stocked, and the great staff we have known for years. Now if we can find a science safe way to make a mask from sawdust and veneer!

Pretty dramatic price hikes over pre-covid. Cant recommend shopping there before the price levels normalizes again.

I went to Austin looking for a maple butcher block. I wanted to be able to physically see it in person and wasn’t able to find any at the local home improvement stores. Every worker I encountered was very kind and helpful. Dustin helped me out with the maple butcher blocks and showed me the various types they had. I am very particular and wanted to be able to see the countertop before purchasing. Dustin read my mind and offered to open the boxes so I could see them. He graciously opened several before I found one I liked. Not once did he seem bothered. We are so happy with the block we purchased for our kitchen island and can’t wait to see it installed. I absolutely love this place and the staff. The only thing I dont like is if Im buying a board foot and it is .75 inch thick they calculate it at 1 inch thick. If its 1.5 inches they calculate it at 2 inches. It should be calculated at the thickness Im buying.

If you have a wood or cabinet project your working on and you need supplies go to Austin. They have EVERYTHING you need . If it has to do with wood they have it, and if your looking for stain colors ( that is why i was there ) they have everything you need. Dont waste your time going to home depot, Lowes, Ace. Best part is if you need advice the employees there are great and willing to help.

Being the wife of a man who loves to woodwork makes this place a God send! I have been here multiple times, and the men who work here have been extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful. It seems as if they have a fantastic selection on hard wood, slabs, and plenty of exotic woods (zebra, purple heart, lace maple, mahogany, reclaimed wood, and the list goes on and on) to keep my husband happy working on beautiful pieces all year long. One if the other helpful things they have is all of the accessories you could need to do or make just about anything! Tonight Jeremy helped me and my children pick out the perfect gift for my husband, and I am sure we will be back again and again!

I live 550 miles to the north but anytime I come to the LA area I go by Austin Hardwoods for items I cant get anywhere else. More often than not I use a trip to Austin Hardwoods as an excuse to drop in on friends and family, not vice-versa.While I find the prices reasonable, its not the prices I come here for, its their huge selection. Water based dyes and clear coat, the screws they sell are top-of-the-line, not likely to ever snap as you begin to countersink the screw. Glides, hinges, tools, veneer, and a huge selection of woods.There is usually somebody there to help when I have a question or need some material dropped or taken out front for me.Its just a great store for anything having to do with woodworking, cabinet making, and anything woodworking.A hobbyist or a professional is going to pinpoint this a their premier walk-in choice for ALL things woodworking.

Ive been planning 2 woodworking projects for several months now but didnt want to use the same old oak, pine or poplar you find at Home Depot and the other big chains. I have been looking in every mom and pop hardware store, every specialty store all over the OC. All the same. Today a friend and I were out to eat and realized that we were just around the corner from Austins Hardwoods. So after our meal we cruised over and spent the next 2 and a half hours trying to decide how much money we could get away with spending and on what. Austins has an amazing selection of exotic and standard hardwood. Im gonna have to plan more projects. Want way to many of the exotic woods. Great place friendly and helpful staff. Ill be back.

DO NOT BUY A POWER TOOL HERE! The RETURN POLICY here is the worst. If you buy a power tool here and your tool is defective, and you try to return it even the same day, theyll tell you the cant take it back, you have to call the manufacturer and deal with them. Then you have to ship your tool to the manufacturer so they can see if they can fix it, or give you a new one, and they ship it back. By then you lost a couple of weeks if your lucky with no tool. NO MONEY BACK. Their RETURN POLICY is horrible. Just go to Ganahl Lumber, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, Sears, etc. and buy your power tools there because theyll return it and refund your money back if your tool is defective.
