This place was amazing! Ice Cream was on point and creamy with the toppings being a beautiful mix if you know what works with what! Plus you can make your Ice Cream look from out of a fairy tale too. I had a great experience here with my family and even took a few pics of our lovely treats! Totally recommended and would come back anytime!
What a sad world I used to live in before I knew of the humble puffle. A crisp toasty outside with a warm soft inside - all the best parts of the man made waffle. The creamiest of ice creams magically procured with liquid nitrogen creating clouds across the counter and down to the floor. The wrong question to ask would be, Would I go again? Instead, one only needs only say with conviction, I AM going again. But also, the earl grey was like.. Soooooo good.
They’re waffle cones are dank. I get waffle cones at Molly’s moons and other really nice places but never as happy. These “puffs” are delicious! And worth every minute. They will also shape your ice cream into a rose. I personally think early grey by itself is a better flavor than floral added to it. It did not honey or syrup on top. If u do this, it should b very light and practically nothing to really enjoy the item on it’s own or by itself.
I enjoy coming to Cauldron because of the ice cream and puffle. I originally came to see what seasonal flavors they had and was sad that they didnt have any. But, I still ordered my favorite which is the salted caramel and my fiancé tried the Sun moon and stars. It was very refreshing and he really enjoyed the mix of the teas. We each have different flavors so we also got different puffles. I ordered the original and he the mochi one.
Cauldron Ice cream hit the spot!Really great spot after a nice dinner in town. It was fairly busy when we arrived, but we ordered through Grub Hub and you could pick it up at the counter. I waited for a little while, but had no clue that my order was ready upon my arrival until I asked for my order from one of the staff behind the counter. They give you the waffle cone and the ice cream in a cup to go. The ice cream was really good and the cone was really good too! I would definitely come back whenever Im in the area.
Delicious ice cream made fresh to order. Extensive selection of flavors to choose from.Extremely friendly staff. Go for it… reward your taste buds.
The ice cream was good. A little on the pricey side ($8.00) for a medium with one topping. The workers were friendly and incredibly efficient. The liquid nitrogen is a cool thing if youve never seen it before and its in an easy to get to location.
It has been the best ice cream I have ever had! Very smooth because of liquid nitrogen and it has many unique flavors like earl grey lavender. Also recommend the puffle
Really original experience and delicious ice cream. We all enjoyed it. Fortunately there was no line when we got there, but one had built up by the time we were leaving.Even though it is made fresh as you order, I thought the service was quick and efficient.
Theres no ice cream like it!Smooth and creamy, just like a dream.Im very fond of the Vietnamese Coffee flavor when it is available. Their chocolate is to die for, too! It is so dark and rich. The puffles are a real treat, and should be experienced!
The ice cream is okay, nothing special. The Puffle is the best part. This place is about an hours drive for me, by my work. I took my wife as a surprise tonight. We got there at 9:36pm thinking “Perfect, they close at 10pm. Just made it”. When we ordered I was informed they stop making Puffles at 9:30pm. If your open you should offer what’s ON YOUR MENU. No where on the menu or website does it say you stop serving your full menu after 9:30pm.I do have to thank you for forcing me to find a better option. Across MacArthur, less than 2 minutes away, is Han’s Ice Cream and Deli. It was some of the best ice cream we have ever had. Way better than anything at The Cauldron. They also close at 10pm but they offer their full menu until they close. We will be coming back to Han’s exclusively.Good Luck.If your trying to reduce payroll hours and/or shift length of your young staff, there are other ways to do it other than false advertise your services. The easiest is have the opening staff clean and sanitize the Puffle machines. That allows the staff to leave even earlier as there is less cleanup for them. It seems like your prioritizing your young staff over your customers if their school is such a priority for you. They signed up for a job knowing the hours and what it takes. When school is over now they are going to expect their bosses to cater to their schedule. It could even be argued you are doing them a disservice by not showing them what the real working world is like. The staff doesn’t make you money, they cost you money. In this case they cost you customers permanently.Ultimately I do thank you because Han’s Homemade ice cream across the street is by far the superior product.
Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! Come and visit this ice cream. I will never let you down on their remarkable ice cream
Great ice cream, still packed as ever. There’s no longer a cashier, you just select your order and pay via the iPad which was convenient. They added a few new flavors since the last time I came as well as serving drinks (have not tried their drinks)
The pictures are wow, but the ice cream was just ok. They have a unique touch on the instant ice cream fad, with unique flavors. They have an option called a puffle which is a different kind of cone which looks really cool. They make the ice cream look like artwork and its really cool. But the taste was average at best. Cool experience but not my thing.
The ice cream is so full-bodied and enjoyable. The interior design is very unique as well which is picture-perfect.
Overpriced, fun to watch the creations but a long long line and the ice creamnand cone itself is pretty tasteless. More for the pictures than the flavor.
Got the cauldron ice cream with puffle. Let just say it was really good. The puffle worked well with the ice cream and it was cool. The line was pretty long though due to ordering off of one tablet.
Fun and innovative spot for some quality ice cream. they have lots of options including cup, cone, puffle cone (like a waffle) and Japanese fluffy pancake for an Ice cream sandwich. creative ice cream flavors made with nitrogen right in front of you. itll get quite busy on a weekend night so be prepared to wait a bit
This place is very popular for people who want to post a picture of the carved rose ice cream on Instagram. My friend and I came a bit before closing and there was a line out the door for the ice cream. It wasnt a long wait since people usually ordered, take a picture, eat it and go. They had a lot of flavours and being an indecisive person I had some time to decide what flavour to pick. I went with the sun, moon and stars because its a tea flavour. The ice cream is delicious, but I couldve done without the puffed cone since it was kinda just an aesthetic for me.
The place feels old. Environment was not appealing...
The ice cream at Cauldron starts off with $5.13 total with tax included for one scoop. I got the Corn to be Wild ice cream, which comes with few pieces of tiny bits of cornbread. yum. My friend got the Sun, Moon, and Stars in a churros puffle cone, which was a bit too sweet for my taste. You have to request for the ice cream to be shaped like a rose, otherwise it just comes in a scoop.
Our favorite place to go for the creamiest ice cream
Unfortunately some flavor were discontinued (bring the rose flavor back please )
Freshly made ice cream. The puffle is awesome and is better than a waffle cone. There is often a line, but it is totally worth it.
Visit more of the experience/hype factor and to get pretty-looking ice cream than for the taste. Flavors are unique for sure (earl grey ice cream??!) but the concoctions most of the time dont taste great together. Waffle cone is again more show than substance, but 4 stars just for being upscale overall. Always very busy, so expect a long line!
Came here after seeing all the Instagram pics and I think the place lives up to the hype. Got the Sun, Moon, and Stars in an original Puffle cone and Earl Grey Lavender in a Churro Puffle cone. Flavors were great and will definitely come back if Im in the area. *Be sure to tell them you want them to make the ice cream in their signature rose shape or theyll just regularly scoop it into your cone (Doesnt change the flavor :p)
My favorite is their sea salted caramel crunch! I looooove it so much!
Its not gonna lick itself!I always get the lavender Earl grey with honey in a sugar cone and I am always happy with that decision.Ive never been to cauldron when it was really busy but theyve always been super quick and got my order out really fast. I love my little cone Rose!!!By the way I kind of need one of those cauldron ice cream shirts with the 🌹roses🌹 from 2018
Besides the rose shaped ice cream this place offers unique flavors like earl gray tea and Vietnamese coffee.I myself got the “Pineapple Express” on a puffle cone and it was delicious. Delicious as Dole Whip from Disneyland. My boyfriend got the “Milk and Cereal” (with chocolate syrup drizzled) on a churro cone.Downside is the place is pretty pack in the evenings and can get pricey. For two of these I spent about $15.
Came here for desert after eating next door and the ice cream selections were pretty impressive! They have a good selection of novel and traditional flavors. We got the smores and a french vanilla, both tasted great. The kids loved watching the ice cream being made and the cold brew coffee was a nice treat for me.
As an ice cream and sweets junkie.. I LOVE this place. This might be my favorite ice cream place. The puffle is a must have. If you have ever been to Hong Kong before.. this reminds me of the little egg puff things you can find on the streets.Smores in a puffle is usually my go to I havent tried many other flavors, as its so good.
I love trying the ice cream flavors here. My favorite is the earl grey lavender in a puffle cone. I always ask for them to make a rose :)
Great place for ice cream after your dinner. The puffle cone and ice cream is actually a really huge amount. One is good enough to share with a couple people if your almost full. I got the red velvet puffle cone with Rose flavored ice cream. I really enjoyed it. I rated this place a 4/5 because I wish they had more ice cream flavors. The staff was friendly. The place is clean and has a nice ambiance. Definitely a place worth trying.
Excellent vanilla ice cream. It is like Creamistry on steroids. Higher quality and better tasting. Expensive, but worth it.
Ive been going to Cauldron since December 2020, never had a bad experience till tonight. It has always been good. Because its a Sunday night, its totally understandable that I had to wait longer than usual. After 30 minutes of waiting I got to the kiosk where I can order, I decided to try out their churro puffle. But was very disappointed after I took a look at it half way home, the puffle was broken and after trying a piece, instead of chewy deliciousness, it was cakey, dry, and not crunchy. It was definitely my fault for not checking before leaving but I thought I could trust in Cauldrons quality. Guessing I was wrong.
One of the many reason to visit Cali. It was my last day in LA, I wanted to visit and do everything on my wish list and cauldron was on it. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a experience! The employee was so sweet and kind. They made the ice cream right in front of you which was cool to watch the whole thing. I love the salted caramel ice cream puffle 😍
The place and atmosphere is very lively, very family friendly. The staff was also patient and friendly. I ordered 2 one scoop of the cauldron ice cream and a churro puffle with vanilla ice cream. I got to say the churro vanilla puffle has become my new favorite.Great place for those of us that have a sweet tooth (:I will definitely come back again!
I absolutely LOVE cauldron! I remember the first time I went here, I saw them on instagram and I thought this would make for a cute instagram but when I went in person, their puffle ice cream is definitely worth trying. I thought it was going to be a hard waffle cone type of thing but they make it fresh so it is hot and warm. It is so fluffy that it tastes like a cloud and it tastes so good with their milk & cereal ice cream!
This place is so cute and they redecorated the interior. Friendly staff and fast pace. I got the combo with an ice coffee latte.Definitely be back
